Dinamo Zagreb has endured 14 weeks of the 2018 season without seeing a tally in the loss column, but a tough day at Rujevica changed that with a 1-0 Rijeka win over the champions.
Antonio Čolak was the hero for Rijeka, but his goal, as well as the victory, seemed overshadowed with a combination of fan behavior and a new proposed boycott by Armada.
Though a number of fans have suggested a boycott of Rijeka after Igor Biščan was appointed as the head coach, plenty fans came to the stadium to voice their displeasure to the club in person.
Flares rained down on the field amid vulgar chants of displeasure aimed towards Biščan and Rijeka leaders. Despite the protests, Rijeka were able to feed off the crowd and hold Dinamo scoreless through the match.
But the Rijeka victory could be seen as being achieved in vain. The three points earned by Rijeka put them in fourth place, merely a point a head of HNK Gorica, who would have kept the spot on the table, but fell 2-0 in Pula to Istra 1961. And NK Lokomotiva and NK Osijek squandered an opportunity to close the gap at the top of the table by playing each other to a 2-2 draw, each only earning one point.
Hajduk Split played a tit-for-tat 2-2 draw to Slaven Belupo at Poljud this weekend, keeping Hajduk Split in sixth place, nine points behind Gorica.
NK Rudeš remains winless after a 2-0 loss to Inter Zaprešić on Friday.
Mandzukic? He has a great understanding of Dybala and Ronaldo. Football is made of alchemy and, luckily, we have that in every part of the pitch.” – Allegri
As our squad gets younger legs .. we can support world class players like Modrić, Rakitic and goal scoring beast MANdzukic.
Vlašić penalty is the best one I have seen from a nogometaš in years.
Walk up .. bang .. upper right corner.
In Roma-Real, Ante Coric came in in 64th for Roma, Modric started and played 80 for Real.
Krama on fire
Saw somewhere brekalo in talks with Tottenham
Just don’t want him to get lost there
Mandzukic on a roll…Vlasic with a PK in a losing effort
Krama with another champs league goal
Livaja being Livaja today …
Thank goodness
