Mario Pašalić scored the go-ahead header as Atalanta came back from a two-goal deficit to eliminate manager Niko Kovač and Borussia Dortmund from the Champions League.
After losing 2–0 in the first leg, Atalanta responded with a 4–1 victory today to complete a huge comeback. Pašalić rose above the defence at a crucial moment, completing the dramatic turnaround.
Pašalić and Atalanta will now face Arsenal or Bayern Munich in the Champions League Round of 16.
Good to see Pasalic is in good form. He went through a bit of a dry spell earlier in the season.
Ivanovic came on in the 85th minute against Real Madrid. But he couldn’t seem to get much going in the 15 or so minutes he had on the field.
