Brando Peričić improved to 7-1 overall and a perfect 3-0 in the UFC, with all three wins coming by knockout.
In his toughest test to date, Peričić delivered again, as “The Balkan Bear” landed a massive right hook to knock out Shamil Gaziev (14-3), who entered the fight ranked No. 14 in the UFC heavyweight division. With the win, Peričić is set to take over that No. 14 spot and continues his rise up the rankings. There’s no doubt he deserves the $100K bonus after this performance.
Looking ahead, the UFC heads to Belgrade Arena on August 1. The promotion’s first event in this part of Europe came in Zagreb back in 2016, and Peričić has already made it clear in his post-fight interview that he wants to be on that card.

He needed to throw like 100 punches to knock the guy out i.e. he has no power behind his punch does he have marshmellows as hands ?
Miocic was able to land one punch and knock a guy out
Also – he was already gassed by end of first round – needs to work on cardio
Also concerned about his chin – any time he got a punch to the face didn’t look good
Do better
I’d cut the dude some slack. He’s 7-1 with 7 KO’s and 6 of which are in the first round. He hasn’t even seen the judges scorecard. Going into the fight tonight he had 5 total cage minutes in last 3 fights. I think calling him “marshmallow Hands” is ridiculous. Unfortunately Heavyweight is long gone from the days when Stipe was around. He’s going to be ranked after this win, so we will see really what’s he made of us. Right now he’s the best the best ethnic Croatian talent we got🇭🇷👊
