The Barracudas opened their Euro 2026 campaign with convincing wins over Slovenia (20–4) and Georgia (18–7). They now face mighty Greece in their final Preliminary Round match on January 15 at 20:30 CET.
Greece has been just as dominant so far, defeating Georgia 20–6 and Slovenia 23–8, setting up a big showdown to close out the Preliminary Round.
A win would put the Barracudas in a strong position heading into next week’s Main Round and make them early favorites to reach the semifinals.

Watched both matches and defensively we were Ok, however in attack we struggled against weak opponents especially in situations when we had extra player in the pool and were not very good at taking advantage of this.
The inability to score when a player up could prove costly against better teams.
Greece over the last few years has improved a lot and will be tough to beat.
The match is on Thursday at 20:30 Croatian time on HRT2.
