Ivan Perišić kicked off his Eredivisie season Saturday with a goal and two assists in a 6-1 PSV shellacking over Sparta Rotterdam…in only 73 minutes on the pitch. In the 40′, Perišić would fly high in the box to head home a corner for the game-winning goal. In the 2nd half, Perišić laid up the ball in the box for Veerman and Til, respectively, for their goals. The second assist looks to have surprised the defense having been passed at such a sharp angle. You really can’t ask for more from Perišić at age 36 to start the season coming off knee surgery only one year ago.
Luka Modrić made his AC Milan debut Sunday in a 4-1 friendly loss to Chelsea. He came off the bench at halftime and was given a 6.5 FOTMOB rating for his efforts.

Rumour last week that PSV were interested in loaning Vuskovic
That is the best team heard so far – Perisic can look after him and mold him

If loan happens, fingers crossed it’s PSV (if not another PL team, but can’t be Bournemouth with Serb keeper)
PSV has Champions League. And Perisic being there would be a second huge plus. Agreed. PSV is also an organization that is going well and has it together, unlike that rough year when Sutalo went to an Ajax team in turmoil.
Another non-EPL rumour is Hamburg which is back in the Bundesliga, but that will be a team looking at avoiding relegation rather than fighting for first place. Nonetheless, it would be a top five league. I believe his brother is/was there before the suspension. . . . Would Hamburg be a good move for Vuskovic? What do we think about Hamburg?
IMO Hamburg would be terrible
They haven’t bought many players (more than 2 euros)
So won’t have quality around (will be exposed)
Who is he going to learn from on the team? It’s a bunch of 2nd division players
They’re going to sit back most games (so won’t be able to see his possession and progression skills)
Most importantly, does anyone trust the Germans after what they did to his brother???
Hamburg (or anywhere in the Bundesliga) would be a bad move simply because of what they’re doing to his brother.
There’s something bad going on there. Someone is making an example out of his brother, and I have little doubt they would go after Luka as well.
