Not much action from Dinamo Thursday night in Denmark. Midtjylland was the superior team for 90 minutes in the 2-0 Dinamo loss. Dinamo only managed three shot on goal with 40% possession. Luckily, other results went their way in both Young Boys and Brann losing. However, for the last 10 minutes of live play in Europa League, Dinamo were a 1-goal swing to be dumped out of Europe for a second straight year.
A draw or better will get Dinamo into the top-24 of the Europa League group stage into the knockout playoff round next month. However, a loss SHOULD get them through as well as long as five other clubs do not win on the night AND make up goal differential. The other clubs in question are: Lille, Brann, Young Boys, Celtic and Ludogorets. If any of those teams lose tonight, Dinamo are guaranteed a spot in the Europa top-24.
It will be a freezing night in Denmark as Dinamo go on the road for their final group stage match. It will be Kulenović, Varela, Vidović and Stojković in attack for Dinamo. Martin Erlić gets the start for Midtjylland at CB.

Wow
Kule to Torino
Here we go
Shocked (not shocked) they want Kule over DDB
I don’t think it was an either or.
Beljo is not being sold. Kulenović was actively being shopped because he’s not in Dinamo’s plans…and I think Kulenović wanted to leave.
Dinamo (as predicted) paid too much for Beljo, and there’s no way some team is going to offer them 10 million for Beljo when your could get Kulenović (a striker who is in the same ballpark as Beljo) for less than half that amount.
Boban buying Beljo was crazy
Rapid Vienna had that buy option (for 7-9m) and actively tried to shop him around to flip for 6 months – there was no club willing to buy him for more than that – I mean not even some Saudi club
Yet Boban thinks he sees something nobody else sees and ponies up [5+2.5] for him?
It’s crazy. The chance he flips him for a profit is very small.
Also, Ausburg told DDB in pre-season they want to keep him and to fight – but he took an easy route back to HNL
Meanwhile, Kule goes straight to Serie A no problem (no rumours of any other crappier leagues or teams like as e.g. Frank Kovacevic except for that one Saudi/Qatar offer – which Kule turned down)
If Kule is good enough to play for Torino – he’s good enough to play for Dinamo – but Boban too proud to admit he’s wrong
btw: Anonymous wasn’t impressed by either Kule nor DDB on Thursday (but not really their faults as there was no build-up/creativity coming from midfield to service them) – Kule wasn’t particularly active in pressing or running around trying to break up opponent’s rhythm – not sure if that was Kovacevic’s instructions not to press – but it was dumb
P.S.
Boban talent selection has already failed
Paid 3m for Villar (2nd highest transfer last summer?) – he’s now being loaned to Elche with option to buy (which is also dumb – just sell him)
It’s crazy Villar was bought and given priority (at least initially) over young Croatian players as e.g. Vrbancic who he sells for 250k (did you see Vrbancic is now injured and might be out for rest of season?)
He did however make a quicky 750k with Ljubicic to Shalke (although that’s 1511′ playing minutes that need to be replaced)
I feel terrible for poor Mudrazija – he didn’t deserve to be treated like that – should have just stayed at Loko
LOL
Yesterday
Boban said Ljubicic needed to return to Germany for “family/personal reasons”
Today
Dejan Ljubičić on his decision to leave Dinamo Zagreb:
“I simply wanted to return to Germany because of football.”
“I played regularly at Dinamo, but football just wasn’t right for me, it was too slow.”
How embarrassing for Boban – the midfielder that plays every game is mocking how bad Dinamo and the HNL is
Stuttgart score in 90 min, we’re safe.
worked out in the end. Was never a doubt…
Brann fell behind (again). Assuming no overturn, a little cushion now
See what happens when you play DDB ?
As explained previously – he doesn’t work for the team (even though he’s fresh) – no pressing intensity – he should have tracked back hard to challenge Byskov not casually strolling – he didn’t so Byskov got that beautiful pass thru
Unacceptable
64′
Looks like Valincic is about to come on !
Orsio no red card on studs into Stojko’s kidneys ? LMAO
That’s two red cards that haven’t been called
Unreal
Young Boys just tied it,,,, but Brann also just fell behind.
I stand corrected. VAR overturned the goal. So Brann still tied.
DZ’s chances at advancement all of sudden hanging on by a thread now
DZ is retarded to be so open and get slammed on the counter
They went from 21st in table to 24th – if they let one more goal in they move down to 25th
All they had to do is “bunker” in the 2nd half to go thru
Kovacevic is a moron from not knowing/playing to the league table
4/5 of these “other” teams are NOT doing what DZ needs right now (they are either tied, or in the lead at HT, and would pass DZ if we lose).
Only exception is Young Boys, they are losing right now (though I think YB has to actually WIN to pass DZ. A tie wouldn’t be good enough for them, unless DZ lost by like 3 goals. So YB needs 2 goals in 2nd half, not just 1)
Correct. YB needs a win + make up +3 GD
Absolutely boring first half
Why didn’t Erlic get red card studs on Kule foot ?
