After beating Šibenik 2-0 at Stadion Šubićevac, Dinamo have been crowned Prva Liga champions for the 23rd time in club history. A tidy finish by Marko Tolić in the 40th minute followed by a magnificent free kick by Petar Bočkaj sealed the league with only one match round to go.
If Dinamo had dropped any points to Šibenik on Sunday, their final match of the season, Hajduk at home, would have decided the league champion. Although the HNL champ has not changed since 2018, this was the league’s tightest title race in a very long time. If Dinamo had sold Oršić to Burnley over the summer, the trophy would surely be in Hajduk or Osijek’s hands by this point.
As of now, CroatianSports predicts Hajduk Split to win the 2022-23 Prva Liga title. If Livaja, Kalinić, and Krovinović remain at the club, potentially joined by Ivan Perišić and Ivan Rakitić, this squad could prove to be unstoppable once more chemistry is developed. For the first time in a very long time, Hajduk has solid talent, coaching, and youth development all at once.
I agree maminjo
When I saw this I said this is what we have been mostly calling for
We are all dalic;)
And I agree with your other post on sucic even earlier in the year it was like ya he has potential for next campaign but he is really calling attention now
Hopefully him and simic rock Austria next year, but big names will be calling for both soon
And I do recall that post on Rijeka keeper
We have to pray(we are counting on you LAknat) for a keeper to come out of the wood work and grab the bull
I still will go with ivusic at this point for a one game winner take all of what we have at our disposal
I like Dalic’s list.
It’s almost as if he spent the past 3-4 months reading CroatianSports.com and based his decision on what was posted in the comments section (minus Halilovic).
If he had called up Roko Simic, then there would be no doubt that he’s reading and posting here lol.
I literally watched like 45 minutes of Nediljko Labrovic in the Rijeka game a week ago, and asked people here if he’s any good (because he looked pretty good in the game I saw).
Boom. Callup. ha ha.
Curious who Dalic is in the comments section.
Can’t be LAknat because that’s probably Sejad Halilovic.
Others have been talking about Erlic and Sutalo pretty regularly, and now they’re on the team too.
We’re all killing poor Lovren, and now he’s cut.
Pumping up Musa every week, and now he’s got his callup.
But Dalic couldn’t bring himself to cut Vlasic, but had to make an excuse for him to be called up lol. He’s apologizing to the CroatianSports crowd for that one.
He’s going to eventually cut him and bring in Roko Simic, and complete the CroatianSports 23-man squad.
Dinamo!!
Like the squad overall not much to complain about. Not a fan on Vlasic, gotta treat everyone the same if you don’t play for a year you shouldn’t get called Amen! Sets a bad standard.
Hercegovina actually
Where are you even from?
To be fair to Hajduk. They are in the cup final in vs Rijeka and will play at Poljud so they still have a shot at silverware. If they win the cup then they will play Dinamo in the supercup over the summer
I hope you’re right
You are 0/1 on the god of halilovic
Is lovren stuck in Russia?
Sutalo, Elric, keeper from Rijeka
Good to see some new call ups and see what we can get going forward
Vlasic, we all want him to turn the boat around but probably the most undeserving call up?
Majer, sucic can definitely add something new to the midfield
And will be the future
Will get to see what musa will add now
Overall I think we have to be happy with the squad and certainly our overall depth
Lovren is “stuck”…meaning, no team in the World wants to pay him a salary even if he comes for free.
UEFA allowed all Russian league players to move to clubs outside Russia if they wanted to.
So…this means that if a team wants to pay your salary, they can have you for free (no transfer or loan fee required).
Surprisingly, nobody in Europe wants Lovren.
Lovren should come to MLS. TFC needs a proper elbow dropping center D-man.
Perisic signing for Hajduk? lolllll Come on guys, enough with the fantasy…he’s a star and will get paid big time next year somewhere, not joining some crap team like hajduk for peanuts…
PS all that money on that clown Kalinic and nothing to show for it…
PLAVI PLAVI!!
Not even a Hajduk fan, but Dinamo hasn’t been a team worth celebrating this year either. As a neutral, this is the closest in quality the two of them have been in a while. If I was a Dinamo fan, I’d be a bit upset if Dinamo doesn’t beat Hajduk on the final day or Hajduk will have gone undefeated against them this season including the game where Kalinic scored to win. Not that I think Kalinic was a good signing, but he has 2 less goals than Dinamo’s ‘star striker’ Bruno Petkovic less than half the appearances.
Dinamo is supposedly getting Josip Drmic this summer to fix their striking problems since Petkovic doesn’t score much anymore, but they better sign another CB to protect Livakovic since he’s not worth selling anymore unless they want to give a shot to one of the younger guys they have. Theophile and Lauritsen are very mistake prone and Sutalo should stay another year at least, but I could see him being snapped up by a better team. I just want them to do well in Europe again so we can actually have more spots and bring more money to the league.
Theophile is the gift that keeps on giving.
He’s cost them so much in terms of salary, and being at fault for failing to progress in Champions League and Europa.
They gave him a dumb extension, and he will hold them back until the bite the bullet and cut him loose.
Dinamo is in a pretty bad down year, and Hajduk is (kind of) trending upward.
We’ll see if this continues.
Ante Cacic, Theophile, Livakovic, and a diminishing Bruno Petkovic are cancers to the team that need to be removed.
These guys will hold Dinamo back, but I can’t see Dinamo getting rid of them.
Ivanusec coming back healthy next year will be big for Dinamo…plus whatever other signings they can drum up (or promoted youth players they bring in).
Hajduk has a better coach and their team president (Luksa Jakobusic) has a winning record. Next year will be interesting.
I think he called the best players available imo. Vlasic doesnt deserve a call but dalic said he doesnt want to ruin him mentaly.
Big shake up within the squad for the upcoming matches which is exciting.
It’s nice to see Musa and Erlic get the nod.
Josip Sutalo and Labrovic from Rijeka I am very suprised to see get the nod as well. The thing is exciting for once in a long time.
Perisic maybe one day but rakitic?
Anyways too bad it didn’t come down to the final game for entertainment purposes
Least hajduk is becoming relevant again
Congrats to Dinamo
They are a train that keeps on going
No chance in hell Rakitic goes to Hajduk….his life in in Sevilla now…his wife is Spanish from there and no chance she and he move….
Just because a hack like Kalinic went “home” doesn’t mean any quality legit player with options would…Kalinic had no one interested in him so he fleeced Hajduk into a contract and in the end got nothing but a cringey “coming home” video in return…while Dinamo wins again…lol
PS are we still blaming Mamic? The refs? Or who for Hajduk not winning yet again? lol
No we are not blaming manic. It’s just an issue with the league in general. If it’s gonna be taken as serious internationally I think that each team had to start scouting player better and finding suitable players to play, otherwise teams like Dinamo who make it to Europe or Champions League are never really gonna have a chance to win a tournament and showcase what our league is worth. This has been my standing complaint, it is better ultimately for Dinamo if they don’t win every year. It’s all I mean to say.
Mamic I mean, stupid auto correct name of my existence. L
