Dinamo heroes Lovro Majer and Kristijan Jakić strike again as the Modri beat Cypriot club AC Omonia 2-0 in their first leg matchup in the 2nd round of Champions League qualifiers. Following a 5-2 aggregate victory in the 1st round of CL qualifiers over Icelandic side Valur, Dinamo was outclassed by Slaven Belupo in the opening round of the Prva Liga season, losing 2-0. Dinamo’s shocking defeat raised many questions about the squad, the main one being whether or not players such as Lovro Majer, Mislav Oršić, and Dominik Livaković still have the will to compete for Dinamo. All three players, plus more, have been linked to European powerhouse clubs such as Eintracht Frankfurt, LOSC Lille, and Borussia Dortmund. With July close to its end, are these players frustrated with Dinamo’s poor efforts to transfer their talents to a bigger club?
Today’s performance silenced the big question for the most part, as all three players were crucial in Dinamo’s effort to take the first leg lead. Dinamo Zagreb will face Omonia again in Cyprus on July 27th in the 2nd leg with a spot in the 3rd round of qualifying on the line.
Croatia Gold! Taekwondo.
Matea Jelic 6 points behind 18 seconds before the end… but she wins. She’s not only World class, she also has tons of mental power.
Bravo Matea!!!!!
They got a bronze too.
They’re going to get multiple medals in karate, judo and taekwondo.
Can’t say I’m surprised lol.
Newest transfers news. Duje to Crotottenham. Anybody know how valid this source is?
https://sportklub.hr/nogomet/premier-league-nogomet/caleta-car-u-tottenham-evo-koliko-ce-marseille-dobiti/
Fabrizio Romano (most credible source out there) said there hasn’t been anything yet. No discussions.
Confirmation that Duje is NOT even an option… 🙁
https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1419763743748247552
Congrats to Matea Jelic! Gold medal in taekwondo. Watched the fight, what a come back!! Croatian mentality at its finest.
Wait, I thought we were mental midgets?? That’s what ziva said 😉
When it matters most, we show what we’re made of.
Poor Ivan is the Rodney dangerfield of soccer, never getting the respect he deserves.
Everything from him being passed around like a hot potato, and his seemingly low market value doesn’t seem to make sense to me?
He’s the consummate team player wherever he goes, and produces though he does tend to have the odd game where he disappears at club level, but never for us.How many guys can you name who are 2 footed beasts like him I can only think of Ronaldo off hand.
I would like to see him go to a mid level team where he starts consistently and flourishes ,who cares if he doesn’t get CL play.
https://sempreinter.com/2021/07/25/inter-are-considering-terminating-wing-back-ivan-perisics-contract-italian-media-report/
Perišić needs to make a smart move where he can once again be a part of a winning club.
He loses interest in meaningless matches.
He is that type of athlete that will age well into his 30’s.
He has 2+ years at top level.
Curious to see where he ends up?
Sinkovic brothers will bring it home. Tough sport best athletes we got
Dalic either has something on some people or this half a million or so on contract the hns are just too tight
Does bilic even have a job right now?
He is a good turn around guy and bring some motivation to get the job done this year
@ Truth
You make a valid point about being woefully unprepared for these next three matches.
We need a combination of fresh ideas while keeping our core crew intact.
That may be a task too tall for Dalic?
There are so many paradoxical dichotomies:
Need to be solid in the back AND dynamic in attack
Highlight world class veterans while bringing in young hungry legs.
Be creative and pragmatic.
3 winnable matches that we could lose.
It’s actually a big challenge.
We have seen when we are not right how mediocre we can be.
Watching Croatia absolutely pummel Kazakhstan in water polo lol… finally a sport we seem to be doing well in lately.
Olympics should be interesting.
Our Waterpolo team looked very good going into the tournament. I believe ABC or ESPN has us as the gold medal favorite.
We have very few athletes competing this year (our lowest since ’92 Barcelona) but we have quite a few medal hopefuls.
Not surprising, we have several in karate, judo and taekwondo, lol.
Yeah, Serbia looked weak against Spain today. I think if we can beat Montenegro, we can win it all.
When I think about the Euros and the changes that need to be made for the World Cup I’m actually very concerned. As disappointing as the Euro was I’m still upset about Perisic not being able to play in the Spain game.. Covid test ?? That really screwed up an already bad situation. Moving forward ➡️
I’m still waiting for a good coach and I’m hoping they figure out a strong lineup that produces results and everyone is playing at their best. If they don’t qualify for the WC I’m going to shit my pants and have to wait 4 years to clean them!!!! Good luck!
Croatia looks woefully unprepared to continue qualifiers. This tournament is heavily in jeopardy
I sure hope you are wrong
We are going to patch work it and be fine
Just if we can figure out the lineup
Somehow
Perisic vlasic orsic and I’m going to have to give budimir a chance for real
Ivanusec certainly has made a case for time
Is there a fit for Krama?
Will it be gvardiol lovren vida vrsaljko again? Juranovic?
The tournament is definitely in jeopardy, but the good news for us is that (as bad as we’ve looked) both Slovakia and Russia have looked far worse.
Russia and Slovakia were two of the worst teams at these Euros, and if they continue to play the way they have, then we should be fine going through.
I predict that it comes down to the final game, but we’ll get in (but feel gross about it).
Honestly, Dalic must have Gospa on his side.
I have never seen a coach score such luck over such a long losing stretch.
The guy has been nothing short of horrible since 2018.
Getting beatdown in both Nations League tournaments, then showing up to the March qualifiers completely unprepared and could have lost points to ALL three of the easiest teams in our group (Slovenia, Cyprus, and Malta).
Played terribly in all three games (except for the first half against Cyprus and the second half against Malta), and luckily managed to get 6 points (which is still a failure).
But because both Russia and Slovakia also messed up and lost points, Dalic doesn’t get as much heat because we remain tied for first.
If only that Malta penalty was not ignored, it could have been a much different story.
Then Dalic continues to go into the Euros completely unprepared.
We play terribly in all our games (except for the majority of the Scotland game with the best player missing, and the end of the Spain game)…and we manage to get into the Round of 16 and somehow package it a success.
We essentially have to miss a tournament (or get blown out 5-0) in order for Dalic to get fired.
It’s such a shame how reactive the HNS is in all this.
Hopefully the new guy comes in with something to prove (similar to what Luksa Jakobusic seems to be doing at Hajduk).
https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2021/07/24/60fc7b4222601d172b8b45cc.html
#10 shirt in his 10th year !!
His legend continues.
HNS needs to do what ever to honor his last major tournament with this World Cup preparation.
Each and every player needs to step up around him.
Perišić is still in his prime as well.
T – minus 6 weeks till Russia.
Majer is on a rampage lol. Probably mad he didn’t get called up. Deserves a big money move.
Where do you seeing him fit?
Not just cause of the LM10
But he seems to have more similarities and leading qualities then kovacic
What do you expect is his ceiling?
There are two schools of thought
Again I come from a hockey back ground but it was really said back in the day
You need to get to the top or close to it till u jump the next league
Sounds like he was
I don’t feel a guy like kova dominated anywhere
Just sort of kind of looked for the middle ground
Again just my opinion
Frankfurt were very interested at a certain point, as well as Marseille and Milan. The first too are good destinations imo as he’d be a guaranteed starter. I’m a hockey player and I love the philosophy of outclassing your level before moving to the next. Majer’s next stage should be a mid table top 5 league team. He’s confident, skilled on the ball and leads by example; way too good for the HNL. He’d be an attacking midfielder for the national team, rotating probably with Vlasic. I’d like to see how he meshes with the guys.
Sky’s the limit for him, world class is a stretch since he’s already almost 24, but he could be an elite attacking midfielder if he keeps improving this way. We’re very fortunate to have good depth in his position (Vlasic, Majer, Ivanusec can play there, youngsters Saranic, Sucic, etc). Seems like we may be too stacked for the future lol.
Hopefully some of ’em have another nation they can represent because Croatian players lack of versatility may mean some of ’em miss out.
Vlasic, Majer, Ivanusec can play all across the attacking line (AM,RM,LM) Sucic is a CM and AM, Saranic AM and RM
If Balic Coric halilovic hung out in the Hnl longer , I’m convinced you would see something more from them now
Marin? What’s up with him now?
On loan at Šibenik, he’s a regular starter. Not much more. He hasn’t been impressive nor bad in his first too games. Has the raw talent but just needs to take that next step. This season may be do or die for him.
How could/would you fit majer in our current midfield?
CAM. Let him compete with Vlasic for the spot.
Is there another solid dm that is up and coming? If Broz continues to be a head case
Tomislav Duvnjak is a great talent, Palaversa is also a DM but he’s stagnated a lot. Luka Vuskovic (only 15) but he’s Vuskovic’s brother, insanely talented. Will probably dominated the u17s this year. Even Mario Vuskovic said in an interview recently that his brother is the most talented Vuskovic out of them all. He says he has the highest ceiling. Then there’s guys who are solid but don’t have the highest ceiling like Moro, Franjić, Babec, etc.
Oh, also Jakic from Dinamo. Never considered him amazing but he’s been progressing very very well with Dinamo and we very well may have another Broz type player on our hands, but even more versatile imo. Great as a DM.
Also Markus
What’s going on with sutalo? I haven’t heard his name mentioned on here for a while it seems
Josip sutalo
He was on loan at Istra last season where he was very solid defensively. Kind of an under the radar youngster since we seem to be so stacked defensively lately (in prospects). Amazing match against Dragovoljac, I think he proved he deserves a chance to show he isn’t just a one game wonder. He’s CB but can also play RB (our least deep position) just like the other Sutalo (Boško).
Two guys named sutalo like shutout on the back end
It’s a good omen
Can someone please explain how these free transfers work? Donnuramma however you spell is name went to psg
And now mbappe is apparently leaving to Madrid for free
When your contract runs out you become a free agent. Thus the free transfer.
The club that had you under contract should’ve sold you for big Euros before you became a free agent. It happens to superstars too.
AC lost their #1 and their #10 for free because they couldn’t match the major wage increases the PSG and Inter are offering and they never thought to have sold them because they were huge parts of their team and were probably banking on their loyalty. Tough pickle.
Yea I think Donnarumma gets something like 12 million Euro per season now at PSG.
Milan generally do not break the 3-4 million per season salary for any of their players.
They should have sold him last year when they had the chance, but I guess they were hoping that he would re-sign out of the goodness of his heart. Can’t blame him. Too much of a wage gap there.
Can other teams sort of negotiate before contract is up?
So it’s similar to a hockey style free agent.
I suppose these guys know their worth and say Milan is like only giving you 8 and it’s already sort of known the big boys can and will give you 12 so they just wait it out
Shitty cause at least in hockey there is a cap
I suppose when you have this multi league system it really is a free for all
Thanks for the explanation
Ljubicic is real deal hopefully dont ruin him like hajduk does most talent.
Striker wise we are left with petkovic budimir colak maric for now and ljubicic just 19 doubt dalic call him and livaja as much as a hot head he is should get call up imo
Hoping Ljubicic can get a start with Biuk being out. Shift Mlakar to LW/RW and put Ljubo up top. Sahiti can stay at RW or go left if Mlakar is more comfortable on the right. Really hope they won’t just plug some bum like Jairo.
Thank God they got rid of Jradi.
What the hell is Hajduk thinking playing foreign midfield talent from the Middle East, when we’re literally a midfield factory.
Just a waste of money paying those kind of players. They aren’t getting any better, and Hajduk have more talented and younger players that are CROATIAN. Pisses me off lol. But this season they seem to be heading in the right direction.
Yup.
Glad they got rid of some of their garbage foreign veteran ‘talent’.
They should get rid of Jairo and get rid of Eduok too. They’re not going to move the needle and are taking two spots from younger Croat kids that could train and develop with the first team.
Marco Fossati is apparently trying to extend with Hajduk once he’s fully fit (he was injured these past few months).
I wouldn’t bother with him either. He’s not a skilled player and he won’t really do much for us.
Problem is, these guys get paid a pretty good salary on account of them not being local players and (apparently) being more valuable experienced players.
Disaster.
How much does Hajduk waste every year on paying Jairo, Edouk, Jradi, Fossati, etc?
…and each of them a six-figure salary (plus possible transfer cost).
Probably several million per year on absolute junk.
If you want a veteran to help develop the youth and win games, then you give Mijo Caktas some extra money (instead of forcing him off the team because of salary issues).
The guy is a legend, and cutting him from the team (while paying second rate foreigners) is shameful.
Hajduk did good in bringing in Krovinovic, who actually DOES move the needle for them.
Caktas, Krovinovic, and any other ACTUAL talent that is experienced are the ones you supplement your youth with…not bums who play for the Lebanese national team, lol.
Ya I never understood this. How are any of these randoms better then a young Croat being properly developed and sold for 10mill rather then 1 and a tank of gas for the bus
I just checked.
All those foreign veteran player’s salaries average around 250,000 Euros.
The Croat players are about 100,000.
They could cut four of those veteran bums from the team and actually sign a legitimate player for 1 million Euro per season.
Add Diamantakos to the list.
Yup. Another pointless signing, that eats away 250,000 per season.
Jan Mlakar is more prolific, and Mlakar is only 22, so Hajduk will probably be able to make a good profit on him in a future transfer.
Diamatakos won’t outscore Mlakar, and won’t be worth anything in the future (as he’s on his way to 30).
Agreed
Rather bring in older Croats like say a mandzo type pay him well enough and be hopefully a good influence on the youth
Or use the savings and keep developing the youth
There are enough good kids in Croatia that can be held on to and kept and be successful enough in Europa
Like making u21 squads and let them play and develop together
As the great Ziva said
Short term pain, long term gain
Hajduk-Tobol Kostany Europa League match today at 3pm EST.
Stipe Biuk is out of the lineup with an injury.
Game can be viewed on Hajduk HDTV app – download free thru App Store.
Don’t quote me on this, but I think there may be a problem for the Mierez situation. Don’t you have to spend 6 years playing in Croatia to be eligible? He’s at 3. That means he will be 27 by the time he can play. We’d probably already have better strikers by then and this doesn’t help our short term problems. Also, highly unlikely he stays in the HNL for 3 more years.
I’d rather we lose with our own.
I don’t want some complete random striker-for-hire who has no connection to Croatia to be playing on our squad.
… Unless it’s Haaland, lol
Yeah, I agree with you. That’s my general belief. However if it’s a rare case that happens every couple decades and it’s for a position we really need, I think I’d be okay with it.
I haven’t really watched this Mierez guy enough to know how good he actually is, but if he TRULY feels a connection to Croatia and embraces the culture then I’d be fine with him playing for Croatia. However, I’m skeptical he actually cares about Croatia and just feels he has a better shot at playing for us than for Argentina as they have really good depth at that position.
Also, the difference between a guy like Mierez and a guy like Eduardo is that Eduardo came to Croatia at a really young age (I believe he was a teenager) and spent 7 or 8 years playing there and scoring loads of goals. I’m sure that part of the reason he chose Croatia was down to play time, but also, the guy knew how to speak, knew the culture, and genuinely felt like he was part Croatian. He was also one of the best striking talents in the world at the time and was bought by Arsenal. If he hadn’t of gotten that horrible injury, I think he would have overtaken Suker at the top scorer of the national team and probably moved to an even bigger club.
Mierez, on the other hand, so far has spent a couple years on loan in Croatia and has done well for sure, but I don’t think this guy actually feels like he’s part Croatian. I also don’t see him at a top talent, nor do I think he’s any better than what we have. Kramaric would light up the Prva Liga. Petkovic isn’t a prolific striker, he never has been. He’s more of a striker that is there to hold off the ball and lay it off. Budimir I think would even score 20+ a season in the Prva Liga given the right service. So is Mierez really much better than any of these guys? I could see the argument if we’re talking pure goal scoring when it comes to Petkovic and maybe Budimir, but Kramaric is miles better than any striker in the Prva Liga. He could score more for us too if we played a different system.
I just don’t really see the point in pursuing Mierez unless he REALLY starts lighting it up. We have plenty of talent, let’s spend time nurturing and actually developing them. Not selling them off to big teams for peanuts to rot on the bench. We talk about guys like Ante Coric, Alen Halilovic, and Andrija Balic as flops and some say they were just overhyped and perhaps they were, but I think they all would have turned out even just a little better if they either stayed in the Prva Liga or took a smaller step up to say the Eredivisie or the Belgian League or at least the Bundesliga or Ligue 1 where the teams actually give young guys a chance to develop. And yes, I know some of this is down to the players (or their parents). So hopefully or current young guys see what happened to some of these guys and don’t just follow the money unless their family desperately needs it or something like that.
I agree, but if he does end up representing us, it wouldn’t hurt to have one more option to try out. No matter how good Krama is for club, he always stinks it up with the NT. We need other options.
Yes, Eduardo is the only situation we should allow. If a player feels he’s Croatian, then it’s OK. No to mercenaries.
For anyone talking about moulding Biuk into a striker or another one of our young prospects, even Orsic said a certain comment, you are just wrong. We need a TRUE striker. This is the same thing as forcing Rebic into that role which we saw didn’t work. Biuk is an excellent talent but he’s a winger. And capping him + Sučić this early would be pretty stupid, especially in important qualifiers. Should they screw up, our fans will rip into them and they could lose confidence. We haven’t seen either enough on the international stage and we’re already talking about capping them? Come on, I’m the first to hype up talented youth but lets be realistic. They both need some U21 minutes first, and then if we really need them we integrate them into the squad. I’m not saying wait till they’re 23, but let’s give them a bit of time playing senior football. Plus, they both play positions in which we are well covered. Biuk is a LW and we have Perisic + Orsic, so no need to rush. Sucic is a CM and we have Modric, Broz, Kova, etc. If Sucic impresses with Salzburg this season and earns a cap or two with the U21s, then I’m all for integrating him into the senior team.
Now for the striker situation, there’s a few guys on my mind that deserve a shot, because Petkovic and Kramaric are obviously not up for it. No, I will not suggest a winger because we need guys in their natural positions, even if it means sitting Kramaric and playing someone less talented like Budimir. Budimir does deserve more minutes, however unconvincing he was against Cyprus. It’s one game, he may have just been off. Livaja is fantastic for Hajduk and we should look into him. However, he’s not a line leading striker and plays as a CAM for Split. This is annoying because we have Vlasic, Majer, Pasalic there and I don’t think he’s much better than any of them. Deserves a few caps regardless. Čolak is tearing up the Swedish league right now, so I say we give him a cap or two in a non-important game. We need goals and it doesn’t matter how “shit” the player is or how “shit” their league is. Finishing is crucial for us right now. Who knows, maybe he forms a great partnership with guys like Vlasic and Perisic. Then there’s Ramón Mierez from Osijek who recently declared that he would like to represent Croatia. I’ve watched him on a few occasions and he’s a pretty talented player. He’s only 24 and finishing is his best attribute, so he could grow into quite the player. Already outgrowing the HNL.
Now comes the question of purity within our NT, and I’m all for that. However we desperately need a striker and if Mierez truly feels at home here and wants to represent us, then why not? France, England, Germany, etc are always poaching players from around the world, why can’t we have 1 or 2? Interested to see how this all develops….
What you guys think of placing vlasic up top? Not behind the striker
Don’t worry.
We have Ramón Miérez bow wanting to play for our National team.
Dudu v 2.0
Is Ramon the second coming of Dario Cvitanich?
Wasn’t there another South American who had great, great grandparents we were trying to get on the repka lol shit, what was his name…
Bilos
Anyone check out Colak? Guy is on fire in the Swedish league. He should be given a chance to start in qualifiers.
Top forwards
Perisic
Budimir
Brekalo
Colak
Orsic
Meh, he’s scored 4 goals recently. Prior to that, he barely did anything. And before his Malmo move, he stunk it up with PAOK. He needs to do a little bit more before he comes back into the NT fold.
I mean true but why not give it a go? Petkovic is trash, Rebic doesn’t step up ever. Worth a try. As long as he’s doing well and staying consistent, call him up. Better than anyone in the HNL.
I’d rather experiment with Biuk up top, or give a chance to one of our U21 players (like Musa) instead of calling up a career journeyman who’s never had a prolific scoring season in his career.
Now, if he becomes the Swedish league scoring leader, then I’d give him a shot.
We have to play budimir
I don’t know how we don’t try him
Krama and rebic have had plenty of chances
Maybe Petković has his place
I don’t know
But truly, budimir had to be the most in form going in euro
I agree
Better we try some kids then some random dude we forgot about playing in a non top 5 league
Like I would throw in orsic as a striker if we are going to do any random stuff again
Dude has a scoring touch
Exactly. He’s on a hot streak now, but can he consistently bag goals? He did it in the HNL, saw most if not all his games, can be reproduce that consistency outside our league is the question. He’s leading the league in scoring currently, but as others have mentioned, I think there are others that deserve call ups/caps before Antonio. He continues to find the back of the net, I’m all for calling him for the October/November quals.
Speaking of unfortunate events
What’s pjaca doing this year?
What a shame
Surely he probably would have been both a better option then brekalo and rebic on the wing
He had size and skill and I think a better overall attitude then rebic
Ugh, one of our bigger and recent ‘what ifs’. If we would have prime Perisic and Pjaca (that never got injured) on the wings, it would be game changer for our offense. Pjaca was/is tall, pacey and physical. Prototypical modern winger. Teams couldn’t just game plan to shutdown Perisic’s wing/side and dare the other flank to do something.
He’s only 26 though… fingers crossed he does more with Genoa now, gets into some form and can get back into the NT fold.
I remember when I brought Biuk to the attention of the comments section months ago when he was hitting his stride for Hajduk and I said we needed someone like him because we needed more quality depth on the wing and some people were trying to say we didn’t. Now that Rebic and Brekalo had awful and average tournaments respectively, everyone is on the hype train.
Let’s hope that we can get at least 2 out of 3 of Osijek, Hajduk, and Rijeka to qualify for the Conference League. We need to have some good performances in Europe over the next few years to raise our UEFA coefficient and get back into the spot where we have 2 Champions League places.
Also, Hajduk is building an interesting team now. Krovinovic was developing into a good player after a good season got him a move to Benfica where he started well before a horrible injury. He was getting close to a national team call up. We’ll see what he can do now that he’s on a team where he should be starting every week.
I expect Dinamo to lose at least 2 or 3 of their starters (Livakovic, Majer, Ivanusec, Orsic, Petkovic, maybe even Jakic) after they finish their European qualifying campaign. They already have signed replacements for most of these guys and have good youth guys to fill in the gaps. So it COULD be trickier for them to win the league this season should Osijek and/or Hajduk have good seasons and some key players leave. I, for one, would love to see a different winner this year. Competition will only make the league stronger.
Teams like Hajduk, Osijek, and Rijeka may not have the quality to have decent European runs like Dinamo has, but half of the reason Dinamo has been able to build the team they have is because they make the Champions League a good amount and get that cash flow in the door to buy the best players from the other clubs and invest more money into their youth system. A stronger, more competitive, league should bode well for our national team as well. I would hope that if teams other than Dinamo start competing and winning the league, they would invest most of that money into strong youth structure, not average players from abroad.
I see Osijek competing for most of this season with Bjelica, but time will tell if Hajduk is serious about trying to compete. If Krovinovic turns good, they just might have something.
Krovinović was great for Benfica before that blown knee.
His loans weren’t the best choices for a player of his skillet (playing in the English Championship or on bottom end EPL teams) but he was still solid there.
He will do well in the HNL to help offset the loss of Mijo Caktaš (who is similarly skilled).
Surprised to see Caktaš struggle to sign with a decent team. He was a solid player.
Vuk, you definitely bring much of the attention to these young guys
I surely appreciate it
I sure hope this biuk turns into something
I hope we can turn more and more above average talent out
Truly it’s all we need if deployed right and If they play with the true vatreni spirit
But something world class wouldn’t hurt;)
And I agree, healthier competiton at home is what we need
Where maybe some veterans will come back home and maybe revive or finish their career off and mix in and help the younger guys
I think we can all agree that whether Guys like coric, Balic, halilovic were truly busts regardless. They may have benefited staying closer to home a bit longer and develop that much more before leaving
Often with kids, soccer aside, it’s making better life choices which can change their path
It would be amazing to see hnl get to a top 10 or close to league
It would only serve to benefit the repka
I think the UECL will be blessing in disguise for us for Rijeka/Hajduk/Osijek. I think if all goes to plan, we should have 1-2 of them make groups.
If you look at the teams that we would have to play in the PO’s or see in group stage, its mostly teams we can potentially compete with: Basel, Copenhagen, Viktoria Plzen, Gent, Astana, AEK, Feyenoord, etc.
From a coefficient perspective, ideal scenario would be for Dinamo make knockouts of either UCL/UEL and then have 1-2 teams make groups/potentially KO’s of UECL. Only way we’ll get closer to 15th and then opens the door for more teams in Europe.
It’s unfortunate that we didn’t make the Olympics
Another chance to Roll out and see some young kids on a bigger stage
It’s better this way.
Otherwise we probably would have run into the same dumbass situation as we did with the U21 tournament conflicting with our Euro qualifiers.
If we qualified for these Olympics, All of our players under the age of 23 would (yet again) be provided to yet another meaningless youth tournament, while we have important World Cup games going on.
Glad we got bounced.
Krovinovic to Hajduk, lol he’s taking the “talented” Petkovic’s route (doing f**k all abroad and going back to the HNL to make the NT) to hopefully the national team. I was talking about this not long ago.
Krovinovic had a very good string of play but had the unfortunate knee injury
But even with that he had for sure more impact abroad then Bruno
Are all the qualifiers done this November??
How much time off have guys like orsic and livakovic had like 2 weeks?
Pretty much playing year around.
Ya not a lot it seems
Livaković takes time off during games
🙂
Nice goal by Majer! He is looking promising for the repka! Good header by Jakić as well. Dinamo just needs to keep on developing talent and we will be in great shape for generations. Hopefully all the other HNS teams get some good results this week too.
Yeah but will he complain if Dalic plays out of position or sits on the bench or even worse underperform deliberately to get him sacked at a major tournament
Does jakic have any future with the repka
I saw him only play a couple of times but I liked him overall
I see hajduk signed krovinovic
I had high hopes for him
Maybe he can be one of those guys that do well in hnl and maybe do something for the repka sort of orsic type
Hajduk should be more competitive with him tho
Who really cares as long as this biuk kid turns out to be a stud that’s what we need!
I agree.
Jakić is impressive.
He’d probably make a good backup for the National Team.
