It appeared that Dinamo was on their way to winning the tie on away goals, but Austria’s Roman Kienast dashed the dreams players and fans with his 82nd minute goal that put Vienna in the lead where they would advance to the Champions League group stage for the first time.
“We are sad, but we should be proud that we have played this type of game,” Beqiraj said. “Looking at the two games, we deserved to go further, especially after the match in Vienna. We showed tonight that we are a team with a lot of optimism going into the Europa League.”
Dinamo fought for another goal in the final minutes of the match, but El Arbi Hillel Soudani’s unfortunate red card made it tough to equalize with ten men in the last ten minutes.
Dinamo must look at the defeat in a positive light. The team will now enter the group stages of the Europa League, a competition that is less prestigious than the Champions League, but will better suit Dinamo, who now will have a chance to go farther in the tournament.

Dinamo do not need a foreign coach for the Europa Liga. I think we may as well stick with Zoran Mamic for the rest of the season. Team already looks better than what Jurcic was doing.
Mamic is playing Marcelo Brozovic and reinstalled Sammir and Bequiraj. Why confuse the players with another coach. Team just needs to get on with it. Certain players are improving by the game – Fernandes and Ivo Pinto especially.

I dont think we are ready for Champions League. It is good for us financially but when clubs are wanting to buy the players for 4million plus per player and guarenteed to make a 10 million plus Euro sale each year or every two years then i think we have no worries. The Lokomotiva situation is working well and they are even starting to threaten us now.
If Rijeka make the Europa Liga this season it can make a beautiful year for Rijeka. That Benko and Kramaric situation is important for them though. If they can keep Benko then it’ll be a good fight for title this year. If they sell him (people are saying a unnamed German club) they have to get Kramaric. Cesarec is good as well but they need two strong forwards.
I worry about Hajduk as they had a good idea to go with young players but now they are losing key players to injury i think they need to swallow their pride and search for bargains. I think Lokomotiva, RNK Split, Dinamo and Rijeka have more strength to attract players at present. I think they should try and get Ivan Krstanovic for the year. Rijeka dont want him – but he can still do a good job. He was scoring lots of goals in pre season for us. Yes he played for Dinamo but Hajduk wanted him before we signed him.

I think Dinamo will still get the title this year. Rijeka have a good chance of second. The top six this year are half decent Dinamo, Rijeka, Lokomotiva, Hajduk, RNK Split and Istra. Zadar are playing as well as they can and so are Dragovoljac. Most of the division are not push overs and that’s why it’ll be interesting to see who finishes where this season. I think this is however to worst Osijek and Slaven Belupo have been for nearly 20 years now. Osijek have their problems. But i dont understand what Slaven Belupo’s problem is. The club made over 1 and half million Euro’s in transfer sales and their signings have been rubbish. In the last six months including last year. If they sack their coach and bring any of Zoran Vulic, Elvis Scoria, Roy Ferencina or Borimir Petkovic they’d improve.

Don’t get me wrong, if Rijeka somehow made it to the CL groups one year and was in a group of death say and just got blasted every game. Myself and most Rijeka fans wouldn’t care as every game would probably be a gift and a great party. But after how many years of getting blasted in the CL is it still fun? If I were a Dinamo fan, I’d be a litle depressed – within the domovina your known as the best team but in European play your a laughing stock who gets smoked every year…

Yes, they belong in the Europa League. But, playing 6 games in the CL and getting blown out is still better than Europa League and even winning games and going a few rounds. Let’s face it, Europa League is a second-tier competition. Nobody goes out of their way to watch Europa League matches.

I think if Rijeka lose out on going through to the Europa League to Stutgart, they have an excellent chance of winning the HNL this year.
They are strong enough to do it, especially if they don’t have to play Europa League matches while Dinamo, who is not as deep this year, does. It might take enough out of Dinamo – we’ll see.
The 10 team league might be paying earlier dividends, as far as making the other clubs in the HNL stronger, than most expected.
Sandomierski’s a waste of time – just like Migliore was .. We needed Kresic but his club wanted to keep him.
I think this was a good effort, but the match was lost in the first game under Kruno Jurcic.
I’m glad to see Bequiraj back as he’s the best striker in the club. I think its sad Kramaric is the fall guy but he will not make it at Dinamo. He will get his transfer abroad and could even be a Croatia international in future but he must go to Rijeka first. Dinamo believe he is too lightweight and dont trust him as main striker and he cant accept that.
I hope we can make it into Europa Liga. Junior Fernandes is getting better by the game. Once we was ahead – we should have gone for the fourth as we cant hold out. Dinamo is not set up to play defensive.
I’m rooting for Rijeka. Ivan Tomecak is playing great and cant believe we chucked away such a player. Leon Benko is best striker in HNL1 at present. If he transfers good luck to him but cant imagine Rijeka want him leaving.

It would be nice to watch Dinamo in the Champs league, but I would much rather see them in the Europa League where they belong(This year). In champs league, they would finish last and wouldn’t score more than 2 goals in 6 games. In Europa League, with an easy group, they have a chance to advance past group stage.
