Bruno Petković scored his first goal in six matches for Dinamo Zagreb, and it could not have come at a better time.
After a tumultuous night of street violence in the night proceeding the match, Dinamo have found the lead against their Polish opponents, Legia Warsaw. Luka Ivanušec sent in a briliant ball that was met with the head of Bruno Petković to put Dinamo up 1-0 in the 60th minute.
However, Legia found the back of the net themselves with an 82nd minute goal. 1-1 through a wonderful strike from Ernest Muci that would skip in front of Dominik Livaković before hitting the side netting.
All is to play for next week in Poland. The winner goes to the last round of Champions League qualifying.
At the moment Livakovic is our best option. As mentioned, he makes some great reflex saves, and can be pretty solid overall. However, he doesn’t command the box, and he allows too many “savable” goals from distance. He is getting better with his feet, but not good enough yet. If he continues to improve, and does well in a higher league, then he can become the keeper that we want. Time will tell. Unfortunately for the repka, we could use a polished reliable “golman” now.
Good point made about Livakovic not cutting down the angle, but a fantastic shot nonetheless.
And did anyone see the goals s scored against him in the 3-3 tie last HNL round? All were unstoppable.
With respect to livakovic
Not our long term solution
Where was them at header for croatia during the summer by petkovic
Lazy prick
Only playing for himself now
Thats harsh. Pretty hard save to make. Curling away from him and skipping it off the ground.
He’s already better than Pletikosa and probably Ladic.
From 20 -25 yards out with a line of sight a goalie should be able to dive 6 yards left or right like on penalty shot. Makes it harder when your standing on the line.
How was his line of sight is the question. That save is not a gimme
He’s young. I believe in him. He won’t develop into a world class keeper but he’s as good as we’ve produced

I’m not the only one that thinks he’s pretty good.
He had a good Euro tournament, and it looks like that is all they watched of Livaković (per the article).
I’m actually surprised at how lazy football directors and scouts are. I would assume that if you’re dropping 10 million Euro on a player, that you’d at least watch 50+ games of theirs?
That’s what I would do.
I think Livaković is decent, but he’s bad with high balls and shots from distance.
He’s not a great keeper with his feet (as the article suggests), but he’s got good reflexes for those close range shots.
I just hope that the EPL doesn’t break him mentally, like it did Lovre Kalinić.
If he has a few bad games in a row, they’ll bench him and he could lose his spot for the season. No growing pains or adjustment period allowed.
You are not setting the bar high there brother
Livakovic doing his best Stipe Pletikosa impression at the 2014 World Cup.
Livakovic stinks..
Can’t we find a smaller goalie?
