If someone told you that after 11 matches, Gorica would be in fourth place, you would laugh; but if someone told you that after 11 matches Hajduk Split would be only three points safe from relegation and in seventh place, you’d probably tell them it’s a “Mamić Conspiracy” and isn’t true.
Hajduk Split have earned only 11 points in the first 11 matches of the season and most recently, dropped all three points to Lokomotiva, who defeated the Bili at Kranjčevićeva 2-0 on Sunday.
Lokomotiva look to be the real deal this fall, sitting five points from the top and consistently battling NK Osijek for the second spot on the table, thought both are certainly eyeing the number one seat in the league.
Dinamo Zagreb is currently on top of the table and secured their place there for the time being after a convincing 4-1 victory of NK Istra at Aldo Drosina.
Former Croatian champions HNK Rijeka have been struggling to maintain their former glory, but started off on a strong note with new coach Igor Bišćan making his debut this weekend. He led Rijeka to a 2-1 victory away to Inter Zaprešić on Friday.
NK Rudeš are still looking for their first win of the season after falling to 4-1 to Osijek.
I love viewing these weekly HNL highlights. Thank you
Hajduk fans deserve this.
I wonder what the Hajduk fans are going to blame now?
Is it still Mamić?
Or will they actually maybe blame Naš Hajduk for electing incompetent boobs?
Nah. It’s easier to blame the Boogeyman.
