Dinamo Zagreb have created an insurmountable lead at the top of the table after 3-0 thumping of NK Osijek over the weekend, despite resting several key starters. Goals from Komnen Adrić, Iyayi Believe Antiemwen and Amir Rrahmani were more than enough for the Modri to increase their lead to 16 points.
HNK Rijeka did their part to keep pace with the champions, but three points just isn’t enough to catch Dinamo’s runaway lead. However, a convincing 4-2 victory propelled them into second place, leaving them keen to begin a European run come next season.
Hajduk Split’s disappointing season continued with a 0-0 draw at Poljud against HNK Gorica. Hajduk remain a point behind Gorica in sixth place.
NK Istra and NK Lokomotiva also drew 0-0. Lokomotiva are watching their top-three finish slip from their grasp, but still have hopes of seeing European competition next season.
Inter Zaprešić nicked a win in Koprivnica with a 1-0 finish to a tight match. Serder Serderov scored the game’s only goal.
We did just fine without Srna.
Perisic early in the tournament called it the best atmosphere he’s experienced at any national team camp.
Seeing your captain constantly trying to draw contact and embellish shit and not play through the hacks wears on your psyche.
We play tougher without him.
Srna for real?!
Agreed opponents should be easy enough however now that we placed 2nd
We are bigger name now and everyone goes extra hard against the champion type teams
I’d prefer some young blood in the Karlo Bartolec for our RB since the opponents in March aren’t too scary (Azerbaijan and Hungary)
Reports say that Srna might be our RB for our March qualifiers
Dinamo 2 beats Tottenham! These kids on that team have some crazy talent…can’t wait to see even more from them.
That’s good news for Benkovic.
But I don’t think he can leave Celtic until the summer. The loan deal expires on June 30th.
Also, Leicester still has Harry Maguire (although they were trying to sell him last summer, and might do so this summer).
If Maguire is sold, it opens the door for Benkovic to start in the EPL as soon as next season. That would be great for us since he’s still only 21.
Curious to see if Filip Benkovic makes his way back to Leicester city sooner than later now that Rodgers has been appointed their new coach.
Kramaric with another one last night
So much scoring from our forwards these days
Bravo Dinamo. Samo naprid.
I hope to see Šibenik in the Prva Liga next year…they’ve got Marko Bulat (17). He’s a crazy talent
when was the last time a croat played for Red Star?
Fascinating that the 3 goal scorers for dynamo were a black man an orthodox Serb and a Muslim Albanian.
The press loves to pounce on our supposed nazi past any chance they get.Yet nothing on how our top club can look past our differences for the betterment of the game.
Ok who am I kidding it’s to line their pockets and get back into champions league but it sure would make a great E60 storyline
