Matija Frigan Follows Dinamo On Instagram Amid Transfer Rumors

Dinamo Zagreb are looking to add another star to their struggling roster before the transfer window closes.

Westerlo’s Matija Frigan might just be the man for the job. Following his departure from Rijeka this summer, the 20-year-old attacker has scored four goals in 15 appearances for the Belgian side and is highly anticipated to make a move this winter. Frigan found the back of the net 14 times in 31 games for Rijeka last season, and is one of Croatia’s most promising youngsters.

Amid rumors suggesting a blockbuster move to Dinamo this month, Frigan was found to be following the Croatian champions on Instagram on Thursday morning. Aside from a verbal agreement between the player and club, why else would the striker be following a domestic rival to his previous club on social media?

Frigan would likely slip into Jakirović’s rotation right off the bat, splitting minutes with — or jumping ahead of — Špikić, Kaneko, and Vidović at the winger position. Frigan would then provide a huge spark to a Dinamo offense that has only scored five goals in its previous four league matches, a much-needed feat to catch up with first-placed Hajduk Split in the table.

As of now, everything is speculation — but don’t be surprised to see Matija Frigan unveiled in a Dinamo Zagreb jersey in the coming days.
