Marco Pašalić scored two goals vs. Philly Saturday night in his first MLS match for Orlando. It’s a fantastic start to the season for the former Rijeka winger who has given himself a substantial pay raise after leaving Europe for America and the MLS. Pašalić was also voted MOTM with a 9.1 rating. We will definitely have eyes on him this season to see if Dalić calls up the winger for international duty. I would imagine Pašalić would have to be averaging a goal per game for that to happen though.
In other MLS news on the night, Petar Musa scored a “gimme goal” to tie the game up in the 2nd half between Dallas and Houston. He then assisted on the game winner with a long, down field pass to put teammate Julio on a break away. Musa was given MOTM honors with a 8.5 rating. This is another Croatian we need to keep an eye on after leaving Europe last year. Musa had a phenomenal first season in the MLS; scoring 16 goals and adding three assists in 30 league games. Not bad at all.
LOL @ those MLS highlights.
Ugly football, and brain dead goalkeeping.
MLS is far worse than HNL. Pasalic was having a pretty average year in HNL this season.
He’s looking like prime Arjen Robben already in the MLS, ha ha.
I still feel the world of sport doesn’t recognize the amazing ness of luka
Ok let’s be realistic
How much worse is mls vs hnl
Just take champions league Dinamo out of it and take the rest

As Anonymous highlighted last week
Marco was one to watch in Saturday night
Thank you Ante for highlighting him #EveryWingerMatters
Both goals excellent and difficult finishes
While Anonymous has no clue why 5 defenders and the keeper are just standing like statues on the 2nd goal – the Marco technique / skill with his back to goal to whip that ball with his left foot in a “sliding round-house kick” motion – is incredible – some of the best technique we’ve seen in the box – maybe Dalic should just play him as a #9 ?
The funny is of course – that MLS still can’t figure out how to work the score-board – are they still doing it manually like at Fenway park ? You will note that after his goal they update score to 1-5 – than 8 seconds later – goes back to 1-4 – than 4 seconds later to 2-4
No offense I myself am in Montreal but I feel like this league is just so much regarded as a joke comparing to Europe lol.
I guess we’ll know soon enough if Dalić thinks the same
