The Croatian champs played out a 0-0 draw vs. Shakhtar Thursday night which will have them finish 16th on the Conference League table giving them a seeded draw.
Rijeka will either play AC Omonia or Jagiellonia Białystok in the New Year. The draw takes place January 16th. If Rijeka get through, they will play a top seed in the Round of 16.
Not a bad placement at #16 as Rijeka lost to Noah and drew Lincoln Red Imps in their first four matches. The 3-0 win over Celje in Round 5 saved Rijeka’s European season. Great for Croatian coefficient.
Zrinjski Mostar are also through to the Conference playoff round as well.
