AC Milan are prepared to make a bid for Mateo Kovačić to reunite him and Luka Modrić in Serie A this season; possibly in the winter transfer window, per MilanLive.
Why this makes sense:
-AC Milan currently in title contention
-Kovačić no longer a permanent fixture in the City midfield, even with all their injuries
-Kova’s current contract expires June 2027
-Serie A best suits Kova’s play across the top-5 European leagues
Chance this happens: 33%

Based on highlights
Looked like Sutalo kind of gave up – stopped trying and effort in box after the 2nd goal
The 2nd goal he also got in the way and deflected it
Concerned about his mentality ie his whinging about no friends, miss home, no language his first year at Ajax, etc – not sure he’s strong / tough enough mentality
Compare/contrast to Vuskovic mentality (where he looks like most confident / assured player on the pitch)
Porto play Not Forest 3pm EDT today (same time Malmo vs DZ) – hopefully Prpic plays (and does well)
Would be funny if both Luka and Prpic leapfrog Erlic, Pong, DCC and maybe even Sutalo ahead of the WC
Season over for Marco Pasalic as Orlando loses the wild card game. He’ll have no more training and matches for the next couple of weeks… just hope he’ll show up in competitive shape for the NT gathering next month.
@Anonymous
Not to worry, I’m sure Marco will prioritize Hrvatska and WC over chicks and other short term pleasures 😉 I really hope he’ll get a good opportunity to return to Europe during the winter transfer period.
Have you listened to John Summit’s Burning Man and 8-hour Space Miami sets? That’s a LOT of temptation 😊
Super cool if kova goes. Would be nice as they can work together a bunch before World Cup
Doesn’t hurt at all
Sutalo starting at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea need two new CBs
If there was ever a game to play his best ever would be today
Sutalo gives the ball away early in the first half with a bad pass which causes Taylor to commit a bad challenge and get the red card. Then on the ensuing free kick Sutalo leaves his man wide open for the goal. It was all down hill for Ajax from that point.
He’s has to do better if he wants a team like Chelsea to show interest or he’ll end up playing in Greece with Ivanusec.
I don’t know why this is happening. He played incredibly well last season, arguably Ajax’s best player. Sutalo showed how good he can be last season.
He is dropping back to the form from two years ago, the lousy 2023/24 season. . .
Unfortunately, he started this season with that injury, and that probably slowed his start to some degree, but he has to find a way to get back on track. The talent and skill are there, he proved it, I was surprised just how good he was last year when he found his form, he was really stellar. . .
It might be a confidence issue?
I feel that it’s just a bad patch for Sutalo which to some extent is a function of that injury he suffered during preseason and consequentially not playing much at the beginning of the season. My only worry now is that the Ajax coach will drop him to the bench, otherwise I’m quite confident he will return to his best after getting a further run of games under his belt.
Well then Luka Vušković can start in his place.
If Šutalo is spinning his wheels at Ajax, then he can always be replaced by the next up-and-comer who is currently playing well.
This is why Dalić needs to be more dynamic with his selections. Things can change on a dime.
Mi-land, can become Croatia Dispora Central- Nice! Just hope they don’t get too over worked and come up with a serious injury, before world tournament. If they stay healthy a good development for national team
