Mario Pašalić extended his scoring streak to four matches on Sunday afternoon, as he netted a cheeky curler that sealed all three points for Atalanta in a 3-1 victory. Pašalić leads Atalanta in goal contributions with 19 (13 goals, six assists), and is Serie A’s highest scoring midfielder. He is also tied for 9th place in the league’s scoring race.
Borna Sosa is a MACHINE down the left flank. The 24 year-old wingback recorded a gorgeous assist against Bayern Munich on Sunday in a 2-2 draw. Despite the impressive result, Stuttgart still remain in danger of relegation in the Bundesliga. Expect Sosa to leave his current club this summer.
Luka Sučić‘s last two months have been magical. After scoring six goals in six games over the span of only 30 days, Sučić recorded an assist on Sunday as Salzburg crushed Wolfsberg 4-0. Sučić has arguably been Salzburg’s best player in 2022, and has been heavily eyed by Liverpool FC this season.
19 year-old Igor Matanović (newest member of the HNS) scored an incredible brace on Saturday as St. Pauli lost 3-2 to league leaders Schalke in the 2. Bundesliga. The tall, athletic striker could be a huge addition for the Vatreni in the future, and will most likely feature for the U21s once Roko Šimić is called up by Zlatko Dalić.
18 year-old Roko Šimić scored once again for Liefering in the Austrian second league in a 2-1 loss to Vorwarts Steyr. The young striker now has 17 league goals this season, seven goals for Salzburg’s U19 squad, and six for the Mladi Vatreni.
