Marcelo Brozović and Ivan Perišić came through big for Inter Milan this weekend in a 3-1 victory over Spezia. The win keeps Inter two points behind AC Milan with a game in hand. Brozović scored a beauty to open the scoreline in the 1st half as he absolutely blistered the ball into the top corner of the net from inside the box. Perišić would assist to extend the lead in the 72′ as he whipped in a sharp cross into the box for a deflection goal. Inter has all to play for this season with six matches remaining in their schedule.
- Mateo Kovačić was taken off with an ankle injury in the FA Cup semifinals. Speaking after the match, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel revealed Kovačić’s swollen ankle was “huge” and that the outlook wasn’t good. Chelsea could shelf Kova the rest of the season.
