Josip Stanišić scored his first career Bundesliga goal on Saturday as Bayern drew Wolfsburg 2-2. The 22 year-old defender beautifully looped a set-piece header over the keeper’s arms to open the match’s scoreline. Stanišić finished the match with an 8.3 FotMob rating and was named “Man of the Match”.
Josip Brekalo has been Torino’s most outstanding attacker this season. The 23 year-old winger scored an absolute beauty to hand his side a 1-0 victory over Hellas Verona. Brekalo was named “Man of the Match” and concluded his magnificent showing with an 8.3 FotMob rating. This was his seventh goal of the season.
Andrej Kramarić scored Hoffenheim’s only goal on Saturday as they were crushed by Monchengladbach 5-1. Kramarić now has 15 goal contributions this season (six goals, 9 assists).
Lovro Majer is a gem! The 24 year-old midfielder scored again on Saturday, this time to give Rennes a 2-0 lead over the mighty Marseille. Majer has five goals and 8 assists this season in Ligue 1, and has been the league’s best LM10. 😉
Another game, another goal for Luka Sučić. The 19 year-old scored the game winner as Salzburg beat Rapid Wien 1-0 on Sunday. Sučić now has seven goals and an assist in his last 8 league matches. What a talent!
Mateo Kovačić and Chelsea fell short in penalties to Liverpool in the FA Cup final. Kovačić recorded a solid 66′ during the match after nearly sustaining a season-ending injury on Wednesday.
Luka Modrić and Real Madrid take on Cadiz Sunday 130PM (ET)
Ivan Perišić, Marcelo Brozović and Inter Milan must beat Cagliari Sunday 2:45PM (ET) to keep their Serie A titles hopes alive with only two matches remaining in the season
Looks like Rog had the assist on Cagliari’s goal as well
Huge hole for inter to fill with Perisic supposed departure
Chelsea and now I saw juve were trying
Like to see Perisic playing cl for sure next years
So either are ok
I prefer that he stays in Italy for world load
Wonderful cross from Perisic to find Darmian for Inter’s first goal. Perisic is playing unbelievably the last couple of months.
https://www.goalstube.online/2022/05/cagliari-inter.html?m=m3
Lovely indeed. He also assisted the first goal, but it was called back. Another patented Perisic flick with his head. Unbelievable….
Sucic with another goal today. Look out…….
Hard to believe this kid was playing on Liefering last season…with many of us hoping that he could be promoted to RB Salzburg.
One year later, and the guy is Salzburg’s star player and has pretty much already outgrown them.
On Luka:

Beautifully written
It will for us be very hard to say goodbye to
But for sure the Madrid faithful will suffer similar grief
Let’s all enjoy the legend as It’s still being written
May he bring one more CL to Madrid and of course the glory we will not mention;)
Maybe Marca and these other Spanish outlets will finally include Modrić on a top 40 Real Madrid all time list ffs
Wonder if majer stays in France if Rennes makes champions league?
It’s a good opportunity for growth in big games for a season
Livaja with 27 on the season
Like him or not that’s impressive
After being bounced around Europe he has found home back home and put together a memorable season
He can be a good piece of depth in Qatar
Does he move somewhere next year and try to go bigger or stay the star in split??
I’m not even sure he makes the team. I’m not dalic but I’ve never been impressed with him. Would you rather take livaja or musa?
Fair enough, but I don’t think in the game against Bulgaria things were set up very well. So we couldn’t see the best of players like Orsic, or Livaja, or even Majer for that matter…
If you go by that game none of them should be making the cut, but I think that was more on Dalic for not caring much about the team set up and selection. That’s just my opinion with that game.
27 goals for Livaja, 21 for Drmic, and 13 for Orsic, 13 Pasalic, Musa is even reaching those numbers or pretty close. It’s a tough call either way. Let’s say you had Livaja and Musa side by side, that could be a decent set I think.
I think we pretty well know what we have with livaja. Love to see what musa can bring
I’m honestly at this point what to see what budimir can do alone and more time with krama
Musa deserves a good look I feel now in June But I do think budimir will be a huge piece
Ya he ain’t mandzo but who has been as consistent as he has the last couple years in a top league
Almost half of his goals were from the penalty spot.
Even Lewonwoaki had 13 penalties when his tally reached 41. I don’t Hink that is anreson to discount him, it often means he is placing himself in the right position and people are fouling the guy. You can’t look at that.
Not sure if we can rely on HNL goalscoring numbers from veteran players in the HNL.
Livaja and Drmic were bums in other leagues, and now they’re good in the HNL.
Something tells me that if they left the HNL, they would go back to being mediocre-to-bad goalscorers.
HNL is good for creative midfielders, but I wouldn’t put too much into the scoring numbers from players (unless they are a very young age).
Budimir and Musa are easily higher than Livaja in my book.
What Roko Simic is doing as an 18 year-old in 2nd division Austria is more impressive than what 29 year-old Livaja is doing in HNL.
HNL is better than 2nd division Austria…but Roko’s ability to do this at his age will probably put him at Benjamin Sesko level next season (once he’s promoted) …and Sesko is visibly a much, much better striker than Livaja (despite being used sparingly at RB Salzburg).
I wouldn’t call Livaja, simply not a good enough player we have better options. But Dalic will prolly call him so he can make torcida happy even though they don’t t come to national games anyways.
Dalic would rather risk not qualifying to WC and and play politics and start Vlasic in split than do he’s job and play the best players. Still can’t believe he started Vlasic in that big game.
Dalić wants to be loved by everyone… and that is a huge weakness.
On Livaja he only had one opportunity to play in a major tourney, and he scored 2 goals in the 4 games that he played and he wasn’t a starter. Now he he has played 5 in total since being called up in the last tournament. Personally, I would give him a shot based on the sheer number of goals. If he doesn’t play well in Nation League then I would drop him. I think that is fair personally. Whereas someone like Petkovic has not been in form this season, neither has Rebic. So I don’t see better option at this point.
On the point that he plays in the HNL, if you take this argument into consideration, then Orsic shouldn’t be called up either. In fairness to the argument. However, I think they both deserve one more shot and of they don’t fit then they don’t fit.
Does anyone know what happened to Musa? I know he’s about to be announced to benfica but he hasn’t even been on the boavista squad past two weeks. Would still like him getting games.
Man of match for stanisic
Not a bad young guy to be bringing up on defence
We look better off in back with players then in a very long time
We have not even been mentioning brekalo as much more then a sub right now for us and quietly had a very good season in Italy
Give him a run on the right side in June
I think between him and majer we can get that right side figured out
Majer popped one in today. Does anyone have a link to the highlight?
Dinamo fan, but hoping that Sibenik gets a result against Dinamo tomorrow. To have a meaningful final game next week against Hajduk at Maksimir would be incredible. Maybe fill it up for something other than a European game.

Brekalo beauty.

Krama with a tap in.

Stanisic with a nice looping header.
The EPL is the cemetary of Croat footballer careers. The english pirate son’s of whores can’t stand we always beat them.
Wrong.
That’s very strange comment lol. Not sure what to make of it. Not all English pundits are disparaging to Croatia it’s just some of them. Kovacic has actually been doing great there, and there is a chance Majer could be picked up either by Man U or Real Madrid, and Perisic is going to Chelsea it seems I think he would be great for for Chelsea.
Regarding Perišić…I think he deserves to be on a team that respects his talent and contributions. I always got the feeling that Inter didn’t treat him as well as he deserved. By spending a fortune on Goesens, it was obvious that inter wanted to replace Ivan. Instead of complaining…Perišić proved his worth, and continuously played at the top level, denying Goesens a chance to start any games. Even the English and Italian comintators were constantly praising him, saying he was inter’s MVP this season. Now at the end of an mvp level season, with 2 games remaining, they still haven’t offered him a new contract. I’m stunned at the disrespect. I loved watching inter this season, and wished he would stay, but fuck them if they treat their star player this way.
Ya it always just was weird
The thing with Icardi
All these transfer rumours
Getting loaned out
It was always just weird but we are on the outside looking in
Some of the Chelsea fans are of course calling him over the hill
But I think he’s got a couple top years left
But will the epl burn him out?
He is built for it but will the amount of games slow him down
I don’t know how he fits in their system overall and how much he will play
Good luck to him
Get paid Ivan you deserve it
And bring Croatia glory!!!
I believe Modrić is suspended for the upcoming match, which is probably a good thing so he can have a rest.
So it looks like Perišić is done deal to head to Chelsea
Is this good for him?
Ya he will be in Champions league I believe but will he be first Choice?
I guess he will make some bank
Regardless of who is committing such tackles I think that Fifa needs to start suspending player for such challenges the way they do in hockey. This type of thing is unacceptable, what if Kovacic cannot come back from this injury then what? How incredibly terrible such a thing can be to a person’s career. I can understand if it is a mistake, but if the challenge is intentional, which a lot.of pundits are saying, that I think a suspension for a portion of the following season may be justified. This gets the point across and people will atleast do better not to commit these sorts of fouls.
Fuck England
I haven’t seen it but it’s bad place for us
Poor Eduardo and what could have been a legendary career
That was accidental against Eduardo, the English player even visited him in the hospital afterwards from what I remember. Where as, the tackle on Kovacic was what appeared intentional, and should be met with heavier suspension. Much they like they do on hockey, soccer suspensions are very light only opinion.
