Pletikosa keeps out a penalty in Rostov’s midweek cup victory over Spartak Moscow
Stipe Pletikosa and FC Rostov conceded a late goal for the second week in a row as they fell 2-1 to Zenit St. Petersburg. They went down a man in the 53rd minute and lost another through inury in the 80th but were able to maintain the 1-1 scoreline before Wernbloom scored in the final minutes. Neither man was at fault for the goals as Kresic was beaten by a Rasmus Elm free kick that went over the wall and Wernbloom’s goal off a rebound. Nikica Jelavić might be in a slump ladies and gentlemen. The Everton frontman received the start on Saturday vs. Fulham but did not impress in the 2-2 draw. Fulham took the lead within 10 minutes when Bryan Ruiz’s free kick struck off the right post and deflected off the back of goalkeeper Tim Howard for the own goal. Jelavić had an opportunity to equalize in the first half but hit high with a half open goal. He was subbed off in the 89′ with one shot on goal to his name. However, Belgian striker Marouane Fellaini would come to the rescue, scoring two composed goals in the second half to give Everton the lead, and nearly scoring a third. But Everton could not keep the lead as substitute Steve Sidwell scored the equalizer in the 90th minute for Fulham to force a 2-2 draw.
Mladen Petrić came into the match for Fulham in the 76th minute but did not manage one shot on goal. With the draw, Everton move into fourth place while Fulham sit in seventh.

Olympique Lyon gained ground on PSG and first place in Ligue 1 after posting a 5-2 win over Bastia on Sunday. Former Dinamo Zagreb defender, Dejan Lovren started and played only 30 minutes after being shown a straight red by referee Fredy Fautrel for a foul on Florian Thauvin in the box. Dejan started off well, getting onto a free kick and heading it on goal only for Maxime Gonalons to clean up the rebound for the opening goal. Less than a half-hour later, Lovren would slide tackle Florian Thauvin and watched the rest of the match from the locker room after being shown a straight red. Video replay shows that Thauvin did sell the foul even though there was only minimal contact. With the win, Lyon are only one point behind PSG with a game in hand.

@jm
eduardo did not even play today
eduardo scored last game. nearly scored a few more times including a header off the post. not to mention 2 goals in the friendy against the swiss. still quite a serviceable striker for us
Dasilva has no business playing on the NT anymore. Maybe as a 4th striker. It’s too bad, but he’s not the player everyone would like him to be. Those days are behind him.
Everyone pray Halilovic chooses Croatia.
@Nenad Bach
Thank God ruski plinovod will not go through Croatia.
That picture of Stipe has to be one of the rarest images in soccer. Can’t remember him ever stopping a PK.
Eduardo plays in malaysia or something
@ Marko
An interesting line up. I wonder about Eduardo as he has not seen much playing time.
Laknat learn some basic English writing skills. You make no sense.
@Marko > Dont put Simunic on your line up ./!
that so risk .. and every team on europa glad to attack the weaknesess defender /

@Sime, you must live on some fantasy island or suffer from some delusional disorder.
Laknat is the biggest idiot here. All he has to say everytime “simunic is crap”
Simunic should play. Bottom line.
@Tornado, good line up.

Two wins against split is exciting!!!, what are you saying? and Kis scored!!!! Love that kid
They beat the old commie club in Split twice and Zadar….not really teams that make you exited.
Hajduk Wins 3 times in 1 week !!! This is beautiful . Now if they can only clean up the front office , all would be OK ! Bog,Hrvati,i Hajduk !!!
Modric, what a joy to watch.
Croatia misses out on billions, as then President Sanader pulled a huge Davor Suker in 2007. http://www.24sata.hr/biznis/ruski-plinovod-ipak-nece-kroz-hrvatsku-izgubili-smo-milijune-287971

Badelj was also sold cheaply because his contract was going to expire. And he refused to sign another contract with the Devil–Mamic himself. A smart move indeed…
Modric GOAL!!!!!
Pletikosa- Plays tommorow
Srna-always standard
Carli-won lokomotiva player of month cool carli
Joe-Always Dinamos best
Strinic- played 72 mins in win
Perisic Frustrating only last 15 mins
Modric-Not at best game but scored
Badelj- Ok game but bayern too much for the Hsv team
Rakitic plays toomorow was good in copa del rey]
Mandzo- not his day could have scored
Jelavic same as modzo not his day but both work ard for cf
Its funny Milan Badelj who is not a mamic player gets sold for 3.5 mill and a loser like sammir who only plays well against lower opponets is worth 8mill hahahahaha
A large percentage, but not the majority of funds.
The remaining funds would stay in the club, to help cover operating costs and invest in players. A deal for Sammir can be struck at a minimum of 5 million euros (if not more). This would still leave the club with a nice sum, even after transaction costs (ie Mamic’s cut of the pie).
Ummmm, check where that money goes in that transfer. ll depends what type of contract mamic has with Sammir. I am willing to bet mamic (his son) has it written in the contract that he gets a very large percentage of the deal
Sammir scored this weekend. There have been rumors of a transfer to Ukraine.
Whether you like him or not, I hope Dinamo can get top dollar for him. As the funds can be used to buy players in the HNL, allowing money to circulate amongst the clubs.
Fireworks in SP why?
