GNK DINAMO ZAGREB 0 – 0 NK OSIJEK
The ever-stingy Osijek defense struck again on Sunday, and held Dinamo scoreless at Maksimir for the second time this season.
Osijek have been thriving against Dinamo this year, achieving two scoreless draws at Maksimir, and recording one win at home.
A impenetrable defense is the key to stopping Dinamo, and Osijek have perfected it. The visitors kept a solid 10 men back at almost all times, and relied on the counter attack to gain their scoring opportunities.
Their scoring opportunities were few and far between though, as The Modri’s defense stood tall as well.
The real deciding factor of the game was goalkeeper Zvonimir Mikulić’s performance. Mikulić’s outstanding play denied everything Dinamo shot at him.
Ivan Krstanović’s chance on goal came in the 11th minute, when he headed a cross on goal, but Mikulić made an instant reaction save. He also denied a 1-on-1 against Fatos Beqiraj only minutes later to keep the match scoreless.
The 23-year-old keeper is a product of Osijek’s youth academy, and had several spells with NK Olimpija Osijek and NK Vukovar 1991, as well as several stints with Osijek in between those before becoming the club’s first choice as keeper.
Dinamo came close to scoring in the second half when youngster Alen Halilović hit one at the goal, but Mikulić’s finger-tip save denied him of the goal.
Dinamo’s other young rising star, Tin Jedvaj came close to scoring his first career professional goal, but was inches off and struck the post.
With the draw, the teams split the points, leaving Dinamo with a 12 point lead ahead of Hajduk and Lokomotiva. Osijek remains in seventh place.
Dinamo – Kelava – Vrsaljko, Jedvaj, Šimunić, Ibanez – Leko – Halilović (od 67. Brozović), Sammir, Ademi, Beqiraj (od 57. Pivarić) – Krstanović (od 78. Tomečak)
Osijek – Mikulić – Ibriks, Smoje, Leko, Lešković – Pušić, Kurtović – Jakovljević (od 54. Glavaš), Pongračić (od 90. Zulim), Kvržić – Blatnjak (od 90. Krstanović)
HNK HAJDUK SPLIT 1 – 2 NK ISTRA 1961
Hajduk Split has faced Istra five times since 2011 since last time they came out victorious.
Hajduk looked for redemption from the last match against Istra, which took all three points in their first meeting this season.
In the first minute of play, Ivan Vukušić was looking for glory early in the game. His opportunity for the goal was stopped by a big save from Istra keeper Antonio Ježina.
The Bili continued domination in the first half, until Istra responded with some offense of their own. Horvoje Milić challenged Hajduk keeper, Goran Blažević, and beat him from close range to go ahead 1-0.
Blažević received the start on Saturday after a small tiff between the keeper and the coach, Mišo Krstičević.
Krstičević planned on starting under 21 international, Lovru Kalinića, and putting Blažević on the bench, even though he has proved himself to be a top player for the club. Blažević, as well as Torcida were insulted by this decision. Torcida even showed up at a practice to voice their displeasure, but Krstičević did not attend the training session.
“No one puts pressure on me when about what players I choose to play. Not team management, not managers, not players. I decide who will play and who does not,” Krstičević said. “’Kalinić is the most promising young goalkeeper in the MAXtv First League, and I want him to stay with us next season. But I have to give him a chance to prove himself. If we sell Blažević, we must have an adequate replacement, and if we do not sell him, then they both fight for a place.”
Blažević has three years remaining on his contract.
“’I believe that I have well-defended my position, and that it should not be questioned. I did not get a concrete answer as to why the coach planned it, but he shouldn’t treat me like a useless players,” Blažević said.
Hajduk faced even more in the match trouble after Franko Adrijasević was sent off with a straight after a reckless tackle, and left his team with only 10 men on the field.
Istra was looking dangerous until they leveled the playing field with a send off of their own.
Istra midfielder and Chung Woon received his second yellow card of the game, and both teams played with 10 men.
With both teams even, Ivan Vukušić was able to find the back of the net and tie the game at one.
But Hajduk’s hopes of finishing the game with at least a point were quickly dashed when captain Fausto Budičin headed in a corner kick in the 81st minute to bring three points home to Pula.
“I’m really glad that we won the three points, especially for my guys because they deserve it. I am confident that this win give players extra confidence and security, which will be crucial in these last ten rounds,” Istra coach Igor Pamić said.
Hajduk : Blažević, Stojanović (od 74. Jakoliš), Milić (od 33. Plazonić), Vršajević, Andrijašević, Oremuš (od 33. Kouassi), Jozinović, Caktaš, Nižić, Vuković, Lima
Istra 1961 : Ježina, Sušić (od 74. Horvat), Čagalj, Budicin, Woon, Aganović, Obšivač, Anđelković (od 45. Hadžić), Milić, Roce, Križman (od 90. Zgrablić)
NK LOKOMOTIVA 4 – 1 NK ZADAR
NK Lokomotiva welcomed NK Zadar to Maksimir on Friday with a four-goal thrashing that ensured them three points and kept them in a tie for second place with Hajduk Split.
The two teams met each other only a week ago in Zadar, where the Lokosi were blanked 1-0, but the teams switched roles, and Lokomotiva came out victorious in front of a crowd of 250 in Zagreb.
The Lokosi went a head in the game when Tomislav Barbarić scored the opening goal in the 42nd minute. They expected to enter the half with a one-goal lead, but Marin Con quickly tied the game in the 45th minute.
That would be the majority of Zadar’s offense for the match, as Lokomotiva came out swinging, and dominated the remaining 45 minutes.
Ivan Boraš scored the go-ahead goal in the 61st minute, and was quickly followed my Leonard Mesarić in the 67th minute.
The game was capped off when league leader in goals, Andrej Kramarić scored his 13th goal of the season in the final minute of play.
HNK RIJEKA 2 – 1 NK INTER ZAPREŠIĆ
Matjaž Kek made is home debut as coach of Rijeka on Saturday, and came out victorious over Inter.
“I am pleased with the result and some of the things I saw. The player’s heads are in the right place. I am happy to applaud them,” Kek said after the game. “Call it a reward for the hard work and dedication. This game is over for me. I’ll talk to the players about it, but turn to the next. I’m not responsible for this victory, this is a victory for the team. They showed determination and courage to end the series with a win.”
Mislav Oršić made Kek sweat in front of his new fans when he opened the scoring for Inter in the first minute.
Rijeka was able to shake of the early blow, and scored in the 20th minute when Damir Kreilach tied it up.
The home team never looked back. Danijel Cesarec quickly doubled the lead with a goal of his own only six minutes later.
Inter pressed for the equalizer, but it proved to be elusive. Rijeka earned all three points and sit in a tie for fourth with RNK Split. Inter falls to the bottom of the table, and sit in 12th place.
Rijeka: Mance – Mierzejewski, Knežević, Marić, Škarabot – Alispahić (od 73′ Čulina), Brezovec, Kreilach, Jugović (od 84′ Čaval) – Cesarec (od 60′ Mutombo), Benko
Inter: Delač – Filipović, Bagarić, Rundić (od 46′ Radojičić), Herceg – Šarić, Milardović (od 60′ Kramarić), Pokrivač, Vujcic (od 64′ Hajradinović) – Oršić, Budimir
NK SLAVEN BELUPO 0 – 2 HNK CIBALIA
Slaven Belupo was shocked at home against a struggling Cibalia, and gave up two goals, and finished the match with only 10 men.
Slaven started off the season with high hopes of finishing on top of the league, but have been in recent poor form, currently stuck in a six-game win less streak.
Alan Maras added to the Pharmacists’ woes when his hand struck the ball in the penalty area, and received his second yellow card of the match. Cibalia was awarded the penalty and made the score 1-0.
Playing a man down, Slaven had trouble defending the net and let Cibalia score another goal, making it 2-0.
Cibalia would go to win the match and take all three points home to Vinkovci. They put those points to good use, as they now sit one point clear of the relegation zone.
After the match, Slaven coach Roy Ferenčina resigned from his position, and it was accepted by the Slaven management.
“We decided to take this step because we are not satisfied with the results in the first four rounds in the spring. With Ferenčina we parted mutually, and the coach of the team until further notice will be former sports director Roman Sović, who along with his assistant Pavo Crnace and goalkeeping coach Branko Balije led the training session today,” said Zvomimir Šimunović.
Slaven Belupo: Rodić, Purić, Kokalović, Bubnjić, Maras, Batarelo (od 46. Glavica), Jugović, Rak, Vugrinec (od 66. Grgić), Delić, Šaban (od 66. Pilipović).
Cibalia: Matković, Miloš, Mitrović, Župarić, Rugašević, Matoš, Mazalović (od 58. Jurić), Vitaić, Filipović (od 79. Terzić), Mišić, Bartolović (od 70. Puljić).

RNK SPLIT 4 – 1 NK ZAGREB
RNK Split remains dominant at home, and handed Zagreb a 4-1 beating at Youth Park.
Ante Rebić scored first for Split in the mini vječni derbi, but NKZ was able to respond with a goal of there own when Besart Abdurahimi hit the back of the net, and made it seem as if Zagreb would be able to hang in there with Split.
But Ciro’s Heros were unable to hang in much longer. Only minutes after Zagreb tied it up, Rebić scored again, shortly followed Henri Belle with another goal from a penalty kick.
Ante Erceg capped off the match with a goal of his own, and that did it for Zagreb.
The Poets dropped back into the relegation zone while Split sits in fourth place.
Crna Gora is where some of their best athletes would come from, so it’s def a loss to them.
Yeah, 99 included crna gora…..isti kurac as serbia. last I checked crnogorci attacked hrvatska as well.
CrovsAnt beat me to what i was going to say which is.. i think the 99 game was bigger but there is a valid point that that was still jugoslavija and i think mihatovic is from mentonegro and a couple others too werent they?
so this is the first time its just us and them, croatia vs serbia and no one else involved (this is where ziva mentions sammir) so in that regard it’s a first..
what would make it really be a big game would be if we both qualified and then got in the same group in a euro/wc .. that then would be massive
I’m Sure Papa likes either Boca Juniors or River Plate
Papa loves Dinamo I Hrvatska.
Papa Frane 1 , Love’s Hajduk , i HNS ! Naprid Bili !

I think they will keep picking really old guys to keep this thing going $$$$$.
Definitely not as creepy as Benedict but 76 years old?!
Damn it…Now Argentina is gonna win the word cup
even funnier!
A black pope LOL
“Iako ime pape još nije poznato, već mu je otvoren Twitter profil”
hahahaha
*please be a black pope. please be a black pope*
If the Catholic church really wants to embrace change then they will go the african, N.american or S.american route.
i hope hes not african cause then we will never hear the end of it from HAET! I personally think it will be one of the Italians but we shall see soon….
Some are saying it could be an American or African, will see.
I wonder who it is……
HABEMUS PAPAM!
they should have kept Brown……at least they played D with him. He never got a chance to have Nash at the PG.
Either way, not a Lakers fan. So, I am enjoying it.
You mean coach Kobe Bryant? lol I dont think D’Antoni even coaches this team at all. The guy is an ass never liked him. I would have liked to see Jerry Sloan as coach or of course Phil Jackson.
And any chance you are a Lakers fan????
No way Pua and Howard can play on the same team with the current coach.
Luca Banti – Ref assigned to the Wales match
http://is.gd/E6J6oi
Ziva i beg to disagree . Wait till pau and hill come back . New dynasty .
LOL…..back from what?????
You know when the lakers will be back? When they sustain a winning record against the like of the Spurs, Thunder, Grizzlies and Clippers in the west.
Until then, they are not back.
Lakers r back
@Colin…….correct. Which means nothing. If anything, that would be good for the serbs. This refs doesn’t buckle under the pressure of home fans. He made the right call last week against Nani and Man U. Although, he missed a few potential PKs.
I heard that the same Turkish ref from the United-madrid game will be officiating the match next Friday.
Amen to that! Always loved giving cetnikuse ustaski kUrac!
This game means more to the serbs than it does to us, so I expect them to go outside their normal preparations as they look to get a win.
I always laugh when coaches do this. Shit, you know our guys wouldn’t listen to that. Corluka will be getting laid every night in ZG as they prepare for the game. Hell, it’s a good thing UEFA doesn’t test for STDs, because Corluka would have something with all the “questionable” women he has used and abused.
Also, if the serb players wont be banging serb women, we need to make a flight into BG to please their women.
We need to one up the Serbs by all of us promising to not have sex starting from today until after the match. Ziva are you with us? Unity!!!
http://www.croatiantimes.com/news/Sports/2013-03-13/32468/No_sex_for_Serbian_footballers_before_Zagreb_match_
1999 was far greater. War was fresh in the minds of many. I’m not saying this game won’t be big, it will, but it will not approach levels of 1999. Tudjman got out of his death bed and went to the game. It was basically a knock out game in 1999, do or die. This one is not. We can lose and are still in decent position to get second place.
I’ll be happy with a win and satisfied with a tie. That would mean the serbs are still 6 points behind us.
I think the hype scale is much higher than a 7 or 8. It’s at par with the 1999 game even though it is the middle of qualifications. Any time these 2 nations face each other in any sport the hype is big, but much bigger when it’s a soccer game. The day of the game there will be a huge buzz in Zagreb as it will in all of Croatia so regarding the hype it will be there just as in 99 possibly even greator
@ Ziva
You can’t compare a Yugoslav team from 1999 to a 2013 Serbian goon squad. That Yugo team boasted the likes of Savicevic and Mijatovic–non Serbs of course–which provided a lot of quality.
I’m hoping for a 4:0 demolition–as any patriot would–may not happen, but still I think have a right to demand the best.
@Ziva Istina
“Right…… those same serbs with their gamesmanship and dirty tricks that got them the result they needed in 1999. Please, don’t forget we have Srna who is one of the biggest floppers in soccer or Mandza who appears to have something to say to the ref every match.”
http://tinyurl.com/a9zzsc8
You used a key word, “contingent.”
Had the army consisted entirely Croatian warriors, the outcome of the battle would have been different. It’s hard to fight when you have cowards in your ranks. And I’m always in favor of honoring our great ancestors.
The main point in my posts are: Serbs are a goon squad, that will resort to dirty tactics. And they deserve annhilation.
4-0 for Cro?????????? What is wrong with some of you. Anything is possible, but tough to imagine 4-0. We would all love it, but only someone with the homer glasses on is calling for 4-0 win.
This will all depend on the first half hour. If we get an early goal then things can open up. But, the longer this game remains tied the uglier it will get.
I don’t know how many of you were around or even followed soccer in 1999, but that game meant much more than this one. That was the last match in the qualifying cycle, first matchup in Cro since the war. This is in the middle of the qualifying cycle and not even close in terms of hype and anticipation from the 1999 match.
On a hype scale, 1999 in ZG was a 12 on a 1-10 scale. this game is a 7 or 8.
Right…… those same serbs with their gamesmanship and dirty tricks that got them the result they needed in 1999. Please, don’t forget we have Srna who is one of the biggest floppers in soccer or Mandza who appears to have something to say to the ref every match.
If I am the serbs, I am happy with the choice of the ref. Based on Man U game, that ref is not afraid to make the right call against the home team in a big match. So, I doubt the serbs bitch about the ref.
@Croatia vs. Antwerp
Don’t forget that there was a Croatian contingent at that Battle. I am in favor of having a monument placed there to remember those who fought.
@ IvicA
That Serb team will resort to flopping to get opportunities in dangerous positions.
Plus looking at that Serb roster list, it looks more like a goon squad. They will try and bully us. They will resort to fouling us, as it’s the only way they can stop us. They’ll even take turns getting yellow cards, to stem the flow of our attacks. Srna and Rakitic will be very busy taking free kicks in this match.
Yeah don’t underestimate the serbs alright. Don’t underestimate their gamesmanship and ability to play dirty. They never go toe-to-toe, instead they throw sand in your face and then run when the going gets tough (ie Kosovo 1389, Oluja).
Yeah Baby!! Just got confirmation that I have match tickets! My brother and I are flying out from South Africa.
Going to be awesome to see Ljepa Nasa again.

I’m a 7 foot tall african- Croatian bi-sexuual with red hair an i feel that i have my right to my opinion!
That pic of Iggy looked like a poster child of 1930’s Jewish Soviet Communists.
@Anonymous
no worries brother!
@Kreso
did not realize you would get so offended. Now that is gay. Sorry about that brother.
@Anonymous, Good that iggy took down that pic, it loked so gay.
Don’t be so vain, go fuck miley cyres if you want, brothers sharing comments is different than a fuken beauty contest.
As for the lakers, they just suck ass! Kobe will never win another title! Only way he’s matching Jordan with 6 rings is if he takes his aging talents to south beach
Should we beat the Serbs? Yes. On paper we are a much better team. I just hope our players are not over confident and have their game faces on and feed off the energy from the crowd that day. No game is a gimme, and lets not forget that the Serbs beat the Germans 1-0 in the euros or w/c(cant remember which)when everyone thought Serbs had no chance. The soccer ball is round and anything can happen unless the soccer gods (FIFA/mafia) have a hand in the fixture. 4:0 would be nice but don’t see that happening. I do believe we will win but won’t be a blow out
Good that Iggy took down that pic, it looked so gay
Hopefully Macedonia take some points off Belgium in their 2 games
*HOLD ME*
LOLOL
@jm, how is it racism? they’re the same “race” as us – caucasian. It is simply serb-hating, and everybody knows that is a noble pastime that should be admired and encouraged. If people are going to be banned for racism Zenit St Petersburg should’ve been kicked out of all european comps long ago.
@ante: definitely not underestimating.. i get so nervous sometimes i can’t even watch Cro play even when its against a neutral team.. my heart is going to be pumping so fast during this game, i know i will be shaking and terrified of losing !
It seems like the Croatian media and many of you guys here are underestimating Serbia. Granted, Croatia dominating them 4:0 would result me with a BAC of 4.78 and two mysterious tattoos at least, but never, ever underestimate your opponent. That’s what Croatian Confusious say
I gotta agree with ziva. croatia is the perfect candidate to be banned. recognizable enough in the soccer world that other federations would have to take notice and allow uefa to deliver a strong message. small enough that in the end no one will really care. and i agree, no one is coming in to defend croatia b/c no one wants to defend racism if that is the reason they get banned. i reiterate, i think it could make some sense to look at some of the 150-1 , 200-1 lines on macedonia qualifying for the world cup. croatia and serbia both kicked out, it could start looking much nicer. you could get some really serious juice if they haven’t gotten kicked out by the second time they play. at that point, odds would have to shoot to something in the 1000’s to 1 as mathematically macedonia would likely be eliminated and the tail risk of both croatia and serbia being banned likely wouldn’t be priced
hahaha.. no wig.. my hajir is awesome !
but apparently u need to log into the forum each time before u come to these pages for it to be “signed in” .. at least thats how its functioning for me
Poko loko
Iggy , what happened to yer photo ? That wig and cig r funny
hjahaha.. 4-0 would be like the best fucking day of my life !! LOL
@Antwerp
4-0 beatdown would be a dream come true. All other sports meetings combined don’t amount to what the winner on the football field means to each side. This is THE sport in Hrvatska & Srbija despite the talent and popularity of many other sports there.
It sucks that Perisic isn’t playing, but then again, he isn’t 100 percent anyway.
Srna, Modric, Rakitic, and Mandzukic alone are too much for Serbia. Anything extra that we can get from our remaining forwards/midfielders is bonus so long as they don’t screw up on the defensive end.
Serbia’s only chance for victory is to flop when they get near our box and hope for one of Ivanovic or Kolarov to capitalize on a deadball play. But Kolarov barely even plays anymore for ManCity. Sulejmani is decent, but he’s had an injury-plagued year too and doesn’t really play for Ajax either. Tadic and Ivanovic are their only in-form offensive threats (assuming the red-hot Ljajic doesn’t get called up).
I’d be pissed if we do anything other than win this game. There’s no excuse for it.
Lakers Champions
I’m dreaming of a 4-0 demolition, plus some in-fighting between serbian players and that would be the icing on the cake.
im gonna be partying and celebrating that day..
Platini is just saber-rattling to scare the fans, so they don’t do anything crazy. He’s just posturing, so the HNS and police tighten security.
The fans will behave, since most of the tickets went to the Croatian elite and well-connected people. Most of us simple folk will be watching on TV or live stream.
Lakers what???????
You cant be referring to their win over a very bad Orlando team.
Wake me up when the Lakers beat a legit team.
Lakers
Well, Platini has lived up to what he has said so far and how done much more, including walking the walk.
He said he would bring financial fair play into the club game……that will start next season.
he said he wanted to revamp the Champions League and give the smaller clubs a better chance to make the groups stage……he has done that. Dinamo is a perfect example of that.
So, based on what Platini has said so far, he has followed up on his words.
Yes, but Platini isn’t a hero. He likes his cozy new position, and the best way to stay in that position long term is to talk the talk, but fly under the radar when it comes to walking the walk.
He has done this well thus far. I would be surprised if he strayed away from what he usually does.
sure they can……money means everything. Lip service is given to those with power and money. Action is taken against the poorer.
either way uefa would paint themself into a corner if they ban us because you know at russia 2016 there’s gonna be the usual monkey chants/bananas thrown etc etc and prolly at every game with black players.. they cant ban us then do nothing to every other country..
if platini dare does anything with us i will kick his cunt all the way to china
Nothing will ever happen to Russia over the their fans….. Russia has money and plenty of it. UEFA will never touch that cash cow.
If – and this is a big IF – UEFA ever wanted to make an example out of someone, we are the perfect candidate. We are a big enough name to draw attention and force others to notice, but not a big name where people would lose money of Cro missing a tourney and have other complaining for us.
We’re conditioned to the fact that Croatia does well only when their backs are literally to the wall. Well, looks like we’ve stepped up a little and said jebi se to Platini. You mess with us, we’ll beat the shit out of the previous fourth army on the world.
yteah i posted about the tennis in another thread
russia would be in big trouble considering how vocal their racist elements are.. they are hosting 2016 arent they? that’s gonna be interesting..
we have nothing to fear from platini.. dun worry we’ll be right as rain
@Ziva
Great call on the Raonic “upset”
Banning small countries doesn’t mean squat to me. I’d like to see FIFA ban super power football countries like the Germans Italians English Spanish etc… Now that would be setting an example.
Bravo IvicA!
Couldn’t have said it better myself!
“Wah Wah Wah…nobody cares about us, we’re Balkan scum, we’re small and a bunch of nobodys, etc”
Now that Miro and Ziva are done crying…I think Cro possibly being banned would be a big deal and a decision that UEFA would have to think long and hard before making.
By setting this strict of a precedent, then other bigger countries like Italy, Russia, and France would have to clean up their fanbase issues (which I highly doubt they would be able to do despite the warning shot by UEFA).
Croatia will already have some solid grounds to appeal simply based on the fact that, unlike the rest of Europe, Croatia hasn’t had a fan violence incident in over 2 years whereas there have actually been fan deaths in many European countries and attempted murders via molotov cocktails in others (we all saw that one in Greece).
If Cro somehow loses that appeal and any comparable violence continues in other countries, Platini will have some egg on his face and it would open the door for every football media outlet to call him out (and trust me, those English writers would exhaust this to death).
Platini is exactly the type that would put himself before a cause, and he’d never let himself be put into this position. He’s a big talker, but I doubt he follow through unless something truly remarkable happens.
By the way, Cilic goes out today at a Masters series event in familiar fashion to another opponent who is better than him.
I think Tomic has another one of his typical performances earlier in the tourney.
Nobody cares about us thats why Belgium was favorites in the group by idiot experts who know shit about sports what have they done to get reapect we since 1996 have only missed 2 tournaments not to mention all of the players from the jugo days. No respect for us
to go along with the theme…
while all of us are hyping this up to be one of the biggest matches in NT history – browse through some of the bigger, global football sites and you won’t see one word about the “grudge match of the century” and the “eternal deathmatch” between Croatia v. Serbia upcoming.
While in our little universe, this match will be big – in the big scheme of things, no one gives two shits about this game….
Nobody cares about Croatia to them we are not big bucks so its eay to set an expample on us if the serbs qualified like we have for tournaments they would be picked on since they suck we are the only decent team from that part of world its easy for them and when they see mamic suker can you blame them?
Italy would bat and eye and clean up their act. italy wouldn’t do anything to help Croatia.
Thinks about this people…..cro gets hit with a ban for hooliganism, rascism or whatever……what federation would stand up and say, “no, they should not be removed.” It’s like standing up in a court room and supporting a child rapist. it’s bad PR.
@The Anonymous1″ banning Cro or another small country sends the message that FIFA means business…..forces other federations to start fixing the problems. Yes, it is about money, but Croatia doesn’t generate money and tv ratings for UEFA and FIFA. Again, nobody would miss Cro. I didn’t hear too many people during the 2010 WC saying, “boy, it sure is a shame Croatia didn’t quality for the World Cup.”
@ Poglvanik Italy is Italy
I agree.
HUGE news!
@Ziva
You really think Italy wouldn’t bat an eye!?
Theyre the type of country that would be next if FIFA sets that precedent.
Only 12000 cards weresold to fans the rest to HNS family and sponsors

1999 serb documentary
right and that was for pretty major ongoings of the time lol.. if that is th eonly precedent.. i dont think a bit of fan trouble is going to cause anything like that.. and no way should u lose points ever either
IIggy t was jugoslavija not serbia 1992 that got banned.
It would signal a major change in uefa’s disciplinary methods.. that would be massive, massive news everywhere my furry little friend
it would be fucking huge news~!
is there any precedent for a country being banned other than the serbs in ’92?
If Cro got banned, wouldn’t a few other countries follow? They would make a precedent that they would have to live up too. Won’t happen cause FIFA is all about the $benjermains$ nisu oni budale when it comes to $$$$$
it would be a big deal to you if Cro got banned. It would be big news for one day in the soccer world and an afterthought for everyone after 24 hours. It’s all hypothetical anyway….but, Cro getting banned is big news in CRO and the neighboring former Yugo countries. it’s not big news in England/germany/Italy, etc
Well not much we can do til then. Lets hope for the best people!
Don’t be such a pessimist Ziva.. it would be a big deal of Cro got banned and i think some of those countries WOULD stand up for us. I know i would by sympathetic if a country like holland (similar size, also good at football) was banned for something stupid like this.
In any case, there’s not going to be racism at Maksimir, i mean we aren’t picking on serbs because they are a different race.. it’s because they are cunts… seems legit 😛
The world fifa would like to see belgium wales scotland norway austria swiss do well not ex jugo countries they hate croatia facts are facts, would not be so proud of our german connection of the 40s
Past political associations have nothing to do with soccer federations.
The Germans do a great job of ensuring secure environments in their stadiums. They would not help us.
Actually I was hoping the exact opposite.
I was hoping the Germans would help us, considering our past relations.
@Poglavnik…….People might be sympathetic but nobody is going to go out of their way to help Hrvatska. In fact, I can see the federations from countries like Swiss, Austria, and even Germany leading the fight against us. It would be a little payback for them after poaching some of their players or a preventative measure by them. Puppet Suker does not have the political IQ to lead a charge on Hrvatska’s behalf.
Ziva is right the world and europe look at us as hillbillies seljaci no respect to platini we are balkan scum and to the english.

@Ziva
We’ve been a top 10 country in FIFA’s rankings for over 10 years now. It’s not like we are some tiny ex-USSR nation. We would have a lot of sympathy from the sporting world. People would care.
@Elvis……I don’t find it hard what is said to the serbs. I hate them and want nothing to do with them (well, maybe their women). I see what is going on here and I am worried every minor item will be glorified and over analyzed.
@Poglavnik………hugely hypocritical stain on FIFA’s face????? Like they would care or anyone not a hrvat would care or even take up our cause. We are a guest to UEFA/FIFA’s party and we have to play by their rules. Not everything is created equal and not everyone has to play by the same rules. I don’t, you don’t in certain situations. Same thing here…..Croatia, and countries like it, are held to a different standard – and there is nothing we can do about it with the likes of Puppet Suker.
We (Hrvatska) are the minor guest who has the ability to crash a major party. We are like a hillbilly being invited to society gala in NYC and we show up in Jeans and boots while everyone else is dressed for a white-tie event .
@ Ziva
True but my fear is that Croatia is a small country with a good football team. Who better to make an example out of. Mind you the racist things are low with us. I find it hard to believe that they are so worried about nasty things being said to Serbs.
We’ll be alright.
We’d have so many grounds to appeal based on other countries doings that we should be fine.
If not, this would be a hugely hypocritical stain on FIFA’s face.
Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer should even be able to clear us of this shit!
Don’t expect much from Puppet Suker on this. His lone concern is doing everything in his power to get appointed to FIFA’s executive committee.
If the savez had any balls (they don’t) they would put together a list (with video links) over the last six months of rascist actions and hooliganism my fans across Europe. Start with Israeli fans booing arab players, then move to Italy and reaction Bolatelli received from Inter fans in his first match for AC Milan.
Can you believe the frog has tried to intimidate our government.

If you (or anyone) can find some highlights of any of the games, please feel free to post them. MaxTV no longer offers the highlights to locations outside of Europe :/
Curious to see any highlights from that Osijek game. A Croatian goalie, born in 1990, that singlehandedly won a game for his team? It would be nice if our country filled with giants can produce an adequate replacement for Stipe down the road.
Thank U Dr. Colin . Bog,Hrvati,i Hajduk !!!
