Hey Ante. I would like to buy an XL version of the olic shirt in grey. I tried to click the paypal button, but when it directs me over to paypal, nothing comes up under account/payment…the just says 0.00 balance. Do you guys have an email for shirt related issues?
Ok, sometimes when I order shirts online they tend to run small which is why I’m asking. I am a big fella that normally fits in a large, but starts to look like a little debelusko if it runs small! Is it cotton?…and are all colors still available?
The shirts are being made this week. Make sure to put in your order via the PayPal button above and let us know the size and color of the shirt you would like.
I also have a very close friend in NYC who is also a hardcore hajdukovac who served in Bosna for the US Army who would especially take offense to your comment. He can’t do it now becaus he’s probably jacking off to a NY Rangers poster or something.
Despite that I will not apologize for anything I wrote about you in the past. I know a Croatian guy from Pedro who served in the Navy as well. He did his basic training near Chicago and served in Japan and the Middle East. Unlike you, he stayed pretty head strong and didn’t become self loathing. I think he’s somewhere on the East Coast now. For a second I thought it was you but this guy is a hardcore hajdukovac.
My next point: I live in California and I think you are off your rocker if you think people have a fuck NY attitude and that it’s not part of the US? You are completely and utterly wrong in every aspect of that argument. Especially for being a military man. Completely 100% wrong. What part of the US exactly are you talking about? I’ve been to every part of the US and have not heard one anti NY sentiment excluding talking shit about their sports teams. Sorry man but again you are out of it.
Either way everything about you is making so much sense to me, including your love for ‘seamen’.
Many Croats from Dalmatia and Istria were forcibly conscripted into the Italian Navy during WW2. I have a Great Uncle that spent almost a decade in a South American prison while his family in Croatia assumed he was dead.
Coincidentally, that man’s son became a great soccer player and captained Rijeka.
When east coasters go into the US Navy (enlisted men), they all get lumped into the NewYorker category. Country boys from Sussex/Hunterdon NJ or Pennsylvania get classified as New Yorkers or called “Brooklyn” less than affectionately.
@Armada:
Were you horrified by the other sailors during the preliminary dental exam?
For me, NY and NJ are good for economic opportunity. Anyone can come here and try to make a go of it. Northerners and foreigners would not have the same luck in most of the South.
Tom, based upon your use of the English language, I’m going to take a guess your not from the USA. And I take it from that, you’ve probably haven’t seen different parts of the USA. Hence, I think you’re the one who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I was in the military; I lived in different parts of the country, talked to people from all over the US. I’m guessing from your English your Croatian. Hey, you can tell me all you want about Croatia and how people from different regions interact. I’m all ears and interested. But when it comes to the USA, leave that to me. Yes, post 9/11 everyone rallied around NY, but soon after that, once 9/11 left peoples consciousnesses, they went back to the same old “Fuck NY” attitude.
Also, why do you include a stream of numbers at the end of each post “893893738978975”? lol
Have you ever lived outside of New York? Have you ever had friends outside of NY? If you have, you know that most Americans (from all over the country) don’t consider New York to be America, but most likely the exact opposite, an island unto itself with it’s own way of doing things, ‘different’ people and customs. To most, when people from the US talk of America, they talk about small town America, with people who have been living in this country for 5-6-7 generations, not 1 or 2 like most of us on this site.
Allen: “when people talk America, they talk New York!!”
LOL, the majority of Nueva York is foreign born. Furthermore, the decendents of those “evil-racist” White colonists who founded New York City now represent about 4% of the city’s population. And don’t ever forget buddy; you’re included as one of the “evil-racist” Whites who “stole” the land from those “peacefull” “environmental” Injuns.
It’s pretty sad to hear some of the stuff you say. No one is saying you have to walk around with a Croatian flag or jersey on 24/7, hailing the greatness of Croatia. But jeez, at least be somewhat proud of your heritage and at least make attempts to learn some customs, culture and maybe some language? Even if you don’t know Croatian, try listening to some music at least and then translating the lyrics to songs you actually like. For soccer news, use the Google Translate page and read sites like SN, Slobodna Dalmacija (since your a dirty dalmo 😉 )and others and read the English and then see what the actual Croatian is. Just by doing these things, I picked up a lot – not to the point where I’d like to be (100% fluent) but at least I can understand basic convos, get the gist of what an article or newspaper article is saying. I feel you on dealing with the old men too, but if you find the right one, they usually have some pretty good advice and interesting things to say.
And a little personal note: saying you “don’t have time” is a bad excuse. Aren’t you a college student?! lol Think you don’t have any time now, wait until you have a gf, work a 9-5 and have a bunch of shit on your plate haha.
that kinda makes me sad, i get people are busy and they have other priorities blah blah blah, but thats exactly how you loose culture
children become too white washed dont care to learn the language and less and less gets passed on to each generation and before u know it your family is a bunch of cakers with a croatian last name left to identify them but nothing else
or maybe im just bitter i spent more then a decade of saturdays in croatian school/they did a good job of brainwashing me haha
but really, dont b surprised if your grandchildren r like grandpa, whats croatia a food?
No I don’t and it’s because I love the Croatia national team soccer. I’m from Zadar and still proud, if that pisses people off well so be it. I have way more priorities in life than learning a language.
They can’t beat me because I keep my conversations with them a minute long. I just have my beard, tell them I can’t speak Croatian because I don’t care, and I go along with my life.
I just started following the website a few weeks ago from toronto. WE shud go to hrvati bar my sister discovered it a while back, check it out. near Christie station, showing euro. Why are people talking politika on here? big mistake.
@Lule…..obviouslly more to the game than speed, but you need it to be an elite team. By the way, who are the 7 guys you think had speed on that roster.
People hate on New York yet when people talk America, they talk New York!! I may not root for the sport teams (which is a crime to some people because sports means life oh my god!!) but I love NY and sure we have our problems, but it’s a hell lot better than irrelevant and nothing to do New Jersey.
@ Ziva you dont need speed all you need is a keeper rock solid obrana and a set peice guy and guy to head in crosses Greece 2004! Just for you since you talk speed and hate tudor, Pletikosa Simic Kovac Simunic Babic Srna Kovac Pranjic Rapajic Prso Olic! 7 fast guys, better than what we have to day love living in the past cuz the future is not bright! Zivili
lol Whitestone, currently in Astoria though. There weren’t any projects by me. Once you get into Flushing, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, etc. jebiga, some blocks and parts are flat out horrible.
My favorite part of NYC is the massive amounts of rats in every street/building. I also love how there are housing projects peppering almost every neighborhood.
I grew up in a pretty clean, quiet and overall nice neighborhood in Northeastern Queens. NYC is pretty varied; you have some neighborhoods where mansions on the water go for millions, there is no crime, no filth, etc. But then of course you have complete dumps where crime is high, it’s filthy and you can find basement apartments for like $550/month. Have some family in northern NJ – nice places, just not my cup of tea.
FOR THE DIASPORA SCUM LIKE ZIVA AND THE STUPID DIASPORA WHO ARE PROUND OF PAVELIC AND THE VELIKI -U- SO PROUD NEVER LIVED IN CROATIA BUT YET MOST OF YOU IN DIASPORA THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING BUT YOU DONT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT CROATIA LEARN TO SAY LJULJACKA THEN TALK VELIKI HRVATI AJ DODITE ODE ZIVITI E BOLJI SU VAM DOLARI VELIKI HRVATI HERCEGOVCI SU BOSANCI! I read something funny today about Jelavic I thought might be interesting…the discussion was about the top 10 Premieship Bargains of 2011/12:
1. Nikica Jelavic, Everton – £5.5 million: It speaks volumes that, courtesy of his ten goals in 13 matches (eight in the Premier League) since arriving at Goodison on January transfer deadline day, Jelavic is now both Everton’s and Rangers’ top scorer this season.
By the way, a belated 32nd anniversary to some of you and your family members. It was 32 years ago this afternoon when Tito was announced dead. For most of us in the diaspora it was a time to rejoice, but for some of your family members it was a day of sadness. 😉
L.A. Kings Win !!! Just need 1 more to advance .@Kvartuc i am very happy and proud of your new gig !!! This is going to be great for all the Cro fans. @ziva , dude be nice like U were before . Leave Split , & the Islands alone !!! Bog , Hrvati , i Hajduk !!! Torcida 4 Life !!!
From my understanding, we (Croatia) will have our own page amongst the 16 teams on soccernet (ESPN FC) for Euro 2012. The dude from ESPN told me we can upload anything we want, including content, articles, video whenever we want upon their approval. I assume as soon as a game is over, we will write the story and send it to them to apply.
Not a bad gig as we’re already doing it anyways. They pick super-fans from the 16 countries to send them content. I sent them a link to CroSports. That was the end of the conversation. My goal is to drive traffic to CroSports this summer.
I have been advised by a fellow ESPN writer to put the full story on CroSports and give ESPN the shorter version. Standard procedure.
Rob Uvanovic will be in Poland during the tournament. If he’s up to it, I think we could get some really great footage of fans etc to show the world.
@ Mihovil
The reason your comments always go through moderation is the fact that you post long links. The website thinks its spam. We have had over 100K spam comments since the release of CroSorts.com in October, so we had to increase the security. I get the comments in my phone, and if theyre good, I release them immediately. Just so you know for the future.
@Slavonac………i am in complete agreement with with. Heard and seen the same. But, me using the term commie randomly and liberally is not a big deal. Calling boduli commies just fits the steroetype, nothing more, nothing less.
Ziva – I’m in my early 40’s…I love being Croatian and have a huge sense of pride for our people. when I was 17 – 19 I lived there…saw a lot of things…and believe me I saw a lot of things…I was only 1 of maybe 3 guys that wore a crucifix on my team (i was living and playing soccer amongst hrvati, muslimane and cedo’s)…Tito was everywhere (his picture i mean) and I couldnt believe what I was experiencing because from how I was raised…we came from a different planet. but i realized something after many months…that was their life…thats was their environment…they didnt know differently and if they tried to change things they ended up with huge problems…in short…i learned not to judge why people did what they did…some people had to and I could care less…i dont like yugo’s, commies and especially those serbs who pretend we are all the same…since hrvatska has been free I love us as a people and i love our passion to let everyone know we are HRVATI…so i just cant stand when someone is being called a commie! my father’s family suffered like hell in slavonija because of the communists…his whole family lost what was theirs for generations and it all went to the commies…he was in jail several times and his uncle died because he was an ustasa! you dont know people’s story’s…they can be far more dramatic than what I just mentioned…so imagine if you called a guy a commie and his family went through hell because of the communists?
@slavonac………..relax brother……We still have a month to go before euros. The last thing I want to do is talk about soccer formations and how using a 4-2-3-1 or a modified 4-1-3-2 (but any day you want to discuss, go ahead.) is better than the other. This is a dead period right now. But, if you want to start the topic, I’ll be more than happy to repond and add my frivolous thoughts.
But, back to your question….yeah, I wrote it….Boduli have a reputation of being the biggest commie lovers from back in the day. So, you have a friend from Korcula….well, good for you. So do I – and I have a bunch of friends who are from the islands or their families are from the islands. I’ve been to Korcula along with many of the other islands in Cro; great time. But, I still bust their balls for once being commie-lovers.
@Ivica……you gave me a nice chuckle when you mentioned Siroki Brijeg. Always had a good time there, but that city (if we want to call it that) might be the largest selo in the world. Amazing how a selo can become a grad. But they love their serbo-turbo music in Siroki.
And you are correct. Siroki is part of Bosna. Once the hercegovci realize this and start paying more attention to the government in Sarajevo and less attention to the government in Zagreb, things will begin to function much better.
By the way, when posting, we really need a sarcasm key.
Ivica – he is trying to be a bigger Hrvat than you and he has a problem! we have them here…there was a guy who thought he was ante pavelic…since we were kids this guy talked like he was above everyone…now we all have kids and families…nobody invites this idiot to any functions and he has been cast off the island. people end up getting tuned out because of crap like that and life is difficult enough…we dont need someone call us a commie because of a region our parents come from…this is a lack of respect and education…from that persons parents…and believe me…there are a lot of seljaks out there that think they are a somebody!
FYI: MARKO PERKOVIC THOMPSON came out with his first single for his new album. Its called UVIJEK VJERNI TEBI! For those of you who like his music enjoy!
People from everywhere in Cro are good people.
They each just have their vices that you simply have to tolerate.
I have a buddy that’s from Siroki, who is a good guy from a good family but he’s so insanely right wing, I don’t know what to do with him sometimes, lol. You can’t have a conversation with him or introduce him to anyone without him throwing words like Yugo, communist, atheist, etc at anyone and everyone.
He calls me a Partizan and a lazy Dalmtinac even though my family is probably more right wing and hardworking than his is.
I love to jab at him all the time though about Hercegovina not technically being a part of Croatia. It gets him so riled. It’s awesome.
@Ziva – I’m guessing you’re kidding right? you must be! I’m not sure why or what gives you the balls other than the fact you’re not standing in front of the people you call commies? were you insinuating people from the islands are commies? I will just tell you this…one of my best friends family is from korcula…and if you said that to any of them they’d definitely make an example of you…I’m losing respect for you more and more. first you claim to know about soccer…you know facts and stats…you know nothing about the actual game, what it takes to be a player and how a team prepares, formations, tactic, strategy…you know facts about teams and players…your comments are all safe and fact based…which doesnt make you stupid or knowledgeable…it just makes you a source of facts…but your comments about people and where they’re from is way offside! I hope I misunderstood you and I hope you really aren’t calling people commies based on where they’re from cause saying those things from behind a computer says a lot about you!
I’m just enjoying the ride. This little website has come a long, long way since its inception in December of 2007. I couldn’t be happier with it.
I wish I could just sit at home all day, watch soccer, report on it and upload some videos. What a dream job. Maybe I’ll get to Zagreb in the next 24 months. Imagine what I could do from there. Exclusive interviews on a weekly basis.
You guys would all be very happy campers. Hopefully everything goes smooth for Euro coverage. ESPN Soccernet just contacted me. They said that for EURO 2012, they will be launching a new site called ESPN FC. Croatia will be represented by the writers of CroatianSports.com.
“I get chills every time I watch that video. The announcer should get some type of award.”
Euphoria @ it’s finest!
@Ana @DinamoDennis
I will take anyone over Dick Howard. Although he does not do the play by play job duties, he is unequivocally the worst Canada has to offer in regards to football/soccer analysts. He literally goes nuts when anyone mentions goal line technology as he is dead set against it. He is nothing more than annoying really.
@ARMADA87
Yep, I was there. Our buddy the moron Mornar had a beyond wide open net sitting in front of him for the win and he misses the net. How he did that to this day still boggles my mind. I had to listen to my friend bug me for two days making fun of that miss! Tudor was so so lucky Prso bailed him out against Slovenia.
@Ante Kvartuč
“I’ll tell you, we could have done a better job than Nike. I take it you like the Olic design. More are on the way if people actually buy them. We’re making little to no profit on them. $6/shirt plus $5-6 shipping anywhere in the world. Had to pay our designer. We’ll see. but it sounds like corluka has to be next…unless another HERO emerges at Euro.”
Hopefully the next shirt will have a picture of our team after a victory with the Henri Delaunay Trophy.
🙂
Great job on the shirt and the updates yesterday! You should work from home more often.
@ziva & armada 8965331 , U idiots just can’t stop talking shit about our beautiful Split . We know dumb ass armada896421 is from Italy , but where is shit talker ziva from ? Torcida 4 Life.
Nk San Jose is gonna have one tough time to defend that title….that’s a fact. No flopping this season Dukic. =)
For those of you arguing about the 4-4-2 and other formations, here’s a little homework. His comments on Italy are also interesting, and you can have a good argument for or against on how we would fair against a team that played that way.
You’re right. Lebo left as a free agent to OC and CroatianSports.com picked up the young Ante Marusic from San Jose for a future third-round pick and cash considerations.We expect big things from Ante.
@Ziva@Armada,Thanks for your detail on that,I really was just wondering on that one.I usually consider that I hear about a lot of these things,but really never did hear this mentioned by anyone before.Yes,he was a talented defender.By the way,so hilarious on the Splicani insults and Istrian compliments!(yes,now I am being just a little sarcastic! -)
Tudor was probably one of the most physically gifted and talented defenders we’ve produced; tall, quick, good in the air, could contribute on the attack if needed. But #1 it was well documented how the Kovac brothers DID NOT like him and those 2 were the heart and leadership of the team for most of the 2000’s. #2 Like Ziva said, he’s a damn Spilican, what do you expect?!? 😀 not all Hrvati can be even keeled, scholarly and good looking Istrian like myself 😉 lol
Cant wait to see how this shirt will turn out. I will most likely have a shirt in three different colors.
How is team CS looking for the tournament? We have a draft coming up really soon. I haven’t played soccer all year. Do we have enough heads for 2 teams?
Tudor was and is a head case for many reasons:
1. grew up in Split (that would do it for most)
2. never bought into the team atmosphere with the repka
3. ask the Kovac brothers what they think of. Had issues throughout and almost came to a big fight at the 06 WC
@Armada87-you have been describing Tudor as being a total headcase for coaches etc.My memory is usually pretty good,so I am not sure if I am missing something about him,but what made him such a huge “headcase”??
Razov’s team moved to Division A. Caught up with him at the wedding this weekend. Don’t worry Ante B, you’re gonna be ok. Just get a nice 7 & 7 in a sippy cup, stand in goal, and aim for the ball in the middle.
It’s gonna be great watching you go toe-to-toe vs. Ante Razov, the MLS’ fourth leading scorer. Maybe you can ask him to sign your jocj strap after the match.
@ sime,
I’ll tell you, we could have done a better job than Nike. I take it you like the Olic design. More are on the way if people actually buy them. We’re making little to no profit on them. $6/shirt plus $5-6 shipping anywhere in the world. Had to pay our designer. @ andrej L
no not the british guy, theres some other guy
and its not about the accent….im sure craig is a nice guy but as a commentator u wanna hear them really get into it kinda like the guys in south america haha…he just acts too reserved for my taste
@ Ana and Dinamodenis
Craig Forrest is an alright commentator. Met him at a bar one time too. I don’t like hiring just a guy with an English accent. At least Craig knows his footy, he just has no passion for the game….and are you talking about the old British guy who does the world/euro cup for TSN??
Nice!pherhaps a deluxe version could be made available with a little recording gizmo like in the fancy birthday cards,you press the sleeve and get “jedan- nulaaa,druga minutaaaaa!”that would be a neat party trick!
@dinamodennis
craig forrest needs to b fired, and replace him w. someone from the uk lol the best commentator is that irish guy..or was he scottish…eitherway im sure u know who im talking about haha
Me playing soccer that weekend is official. Our foot race might have to weight as I can only exert enough pressure for the games. It will happen one day I promise. Who knows it might be just be impromptu. I already owned you in fuss ball
Giovanni Rosso LOL talk about a blast from the past… He reminds me of that Euro 2004 squad and the complete lack of talent we had on that squad. People think we’re thin going into this Euro, people need to take a look at some of the scrubs we sent to Portugal that year: Rosso, Ivica Mornar, Stjepan Tomas, Mato Neretljak, etc. and the even though he was talented, the headcase of alllllll headcases, Igor Tudor.
Pink would actually work since the design is a positive. I can definitely do that for you. No shirts have been made yet. Once I get 8-10 orders, I will go to my shirt guy.
Send me an email or we can talk on facebook later tonight about your special order. but it can be done, no problem.
If you needed an XXXL I would accomodate you sir. So when’s that foot race? We can do it Memorial Day weekend. And film it for the fine audience of Croatiansports.com.
@vatrena cast
our commentators are shit? i dont know where u live buddy and what commentators u get stuck w. the but the croatian ones are awesome! theyre so full of passion and funny and dont censor themselves
everytime champions, euro or wc rolls around i get stuck listening to canadian commentators, theyre the worst, so boring and no passion and everything is too censored
seriously ill take any fob commentators over them, polish…russian…i can understand only half of what they say and its still more amusing then the canadian ones
Great shirt guys! I will definitely wear one as I have always supported Olic on this site since day one. May I please have a XX small for my girlish figure (read: man boobs). Hvala unaprijed! XXL would be perfect
Off topic boys, I think it might be time to do something with that headline “Buy The Latest Croatian Gear” and the two old jerseys that are under it. Funny how I haven’t noticed how out-dated it is ’til now. Must have been the Olic shirt offer that drew my attention there…
Sick shirt. Could have added all the other hero goals against Italy,Germany, England…Still would rather have Jelavic and Mandza start over Olic and bring him on in the 60th for an energy boost
I’m in Croatia now and want to things: see a match, buy a real jersey not the fake one u can buy on the conor. Can anyone help me with this
Hey Ante. I would like to buy an XL version of the olic shirt in grey. I tried to click the paypal button, but when it directs me over to paypal, nothing comes up under account/payment…the just says 0.00 balance. Do you guys have an email for shirt related issues?
Yes, cotton. I would suggest an XL then. Only grey is available.
Ok, sometimes when I order shirts online they tend to run small which is why I’m asking. I am a big fella that normally fits in a large, but starts to look like a little debelusko if it runs small! Is it cotton?…and are all colors still available?
@ anon
Not too late.
I wear a small and Denis wears a Large if that’s any indication for you.
How large do those shirts run? i.e. Is the large more like a medium? And, is it too late to order one of them?
@ Fellow
The shirts are being made this week. Make sure to put in your order via the PayPal button above and let us know the size and color of the shirt you would like.
All the best.
Put me down for two shirts.

It’s pretty sad to hear some of the stuff you say. No one is saying you have to walk around with a Croatian flag or jersey on 24/7, hailing the greatness of Croatia.
@ Ana
yea I know who you’re talkign about…the dude witht the big mustache!
You tell em Ana .Allan needs to learn croatian , and stop wearing pijama pants with a suit coat .
@allen
that kinda makes me sad, i get people are busy and they have other priorities blah blah blah, but thats exactly how you loose culture
children become too white washed dont care to learn the language and less and less gets passed on to each generation and before u know it your family is a bunch of cakers with a croatian last name left to identify them but nothing else
or maybe im just bitter i spent more then a decade of saturdays in croatian school/they did a good job of brainwashing me haha
but really, dont b surprised if your grandchildren r like grandpa, whats croatia a food?
No I don’t and it’s because I love the Croatia national team soccer. I’m from Zadar and still proud, if that pisses people off well so be it. I have way more priorities in life than learning a language.
I fail to understand why you frequent a site primarily devoted to Croatian soccer.
Allen you must learn croatian
They can’t beat me because I keep my conversations with them a minute long. I just have my beard, tell them I can’t speak Croatian because I don’t care, and I go along with my life.
@Ana , I am pretty cute 🙂
@ sime
i dont know if ur trying to b cute or u really cant spell…thats sad
@allen
dont let them get under your skin, then they win haha, same goes for dukic, seriously they piss u off, piss them off back 😛
Croatian old men= some of the most unbearable people ever to talk to. UGH
Ana chuti
lol I LOVE hrvati bar! & the old men on here love any reason to argue haha
I just started following the website a few weeks ago from toronto. WE shud go to hrvati bar my sister discovered it a while back, check it out. near Christie station, showing euro. Why are people talking politika on here? big mistake.
damn seems like theres alot of us from tdot on here, we should form a toronto chapter of cs so we can yell at the tv together haha
nisam ljut. nego zalim sto vas majka rodila tako glupo. i onda znam da je svit u kurcu jer ima ljudi ko vi na njemu.
Get em Dukic . They dish it out but can’t take it. Pizdas . Ziva 87943114567950 Istina .
zasto ste ljuti, moj dukica?! haha
@Dukic…so, what is your problem????
@armada
no i actually press ctrl plus f and search your or zivas name. if it comes up more then twice i exit.
ali stvarno. dosadni ste ko vrag. ko muva na govno.
anyone from bergy on here??
@Ivica
Which part of T.o
Dukic , U r right on . Armada & Ziva very bad and govna people. Not very nice . 87573321345690086543
Dukic, let’s face the facts; you still read the posts and you still reply to what I or Ziva have to say, so who’s kidding who, brate?
@Tom
My Croatian may not be the best, but your English is HORRENDOUS. Get some lessons, bud.
once i see an article that has more than 2 posts each from ziva and armada i close it. keeps me less stressed. you guys should do the same.
@Tom……what’s your problem?????
Armada is & lives queen . Junk ,crap , italy new york , uck . 8790532157536780 & ziva 1 in the same. Pedery
Miki Rapaic is a definite burner. Probably the fastest midfielder we ever had.
@Lule…..obviouslly more to the game than speed, but you need it to be an elite team. By the way, who are the 7 guys you think had speed on that roster.
I’m from Toronto (which is not a bad city at all), but I still think NYC destroys Toronto in almost every facet.
Zivili
Tons of Hrvati in Queens though, mostly Dalmos and Istrijani
lol Whitestone, currently in Astoria though. There weren’t any projects by me. Once you get into Flushing, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, etc. jebiga, some blocks and parts are flat out horrible.
By NYC I mean Manhattan, but the outer boroughs have their fair share of both as well.
My favorite part of NYC is the massive amounts of rats in every street/building. I also love how there are housing projects peppering almost every neighborhood.
Let me guess College Point, Whitestone or Douglaston?
@ mali
I grew up in a pretty clean, quiet and overall nice neighborhood in Northeastern Queens. NYC is pretty varied; you have some neighborhoods where mansions on the water go for millions, there is no crime, no filth, etc. But then of course you have complete dumps where crime is high, it’s filthy and you can find basement apartments for like $550/month. Have some family in northern NJ – nice places, just not my cup of tea.
@Armada:
Born and raised / work in NYC. It is a filthy dump. Do yourself a favor and move to Monmouth County,NJ you won’t regret it.
@Lule……..Pletikosa(When he was good i know he was injured but still) Simic Kovac Tudor Simunic -N Kovac Rapaic Srna Kranjcar -Prso Klasnic
That would be a very slow team. Would never work in today’s game. That team had plenty of flaws.
Simic was done at that point. Tudo was a locker room cancer. Skill level on that squad would be high, but not much speed.
I’m a proud New Yorker – and what? Zagreb and ‘mighty’ ‘Spalato’ don’t got jack on my city – YEAH BRO I JUST SAID IT
😀 😀 😀
JEBO VAS PAS, JEBO VAS PAVELIC TUDMAN(TITOVA DESNA RUKA). ZIVIJA DRUG TITO I ANTE GOTOVINA!
Id take the euro 2004 playrs available not the 23 Heir Otto called but player that should have played, i am not living in the past im just saying look, at thi 23 man team

Ziva = Jerk
This ziva is full of it . Hey Dukic , please tell the people what a ass this dummy is .
Nice recognition for Jelavic.
@Ivica….negative. on the more. And while the map says otherwise, Imotski to me will always be part of Hercegovina.
Jelavic Wins Player Of The Month
http://is.gd/vqsmvm
Ziva is a Dalmatinac, likely from one of the more inland towns instead of the coast.
He’s probably from Sinj or Imotski.
@Ante Kvartuc
Sorry Ante. Thank you for making me aware of the situation as I have a workaround.
🙂
“Not a bad gig as we’re already doing it anyways.” “My goal is to drive traffic to CroSports this summer.”
Exactly! Spoken like a true e-commerce guru!
@ Ziva,
From my understanding, we (Croatia) will have our own page amongst the 16 teams on soccernet (ESPN FC) for Euro 2012.
Great links! Thanks.
Why are my comments always awaiting moderation?
Was it something I said?
🙂
@Ana…..negative. go south.
@Slavonac………i am in complete agreement with with. Heard and seen the same. But, me using the term commie randomly and liberally is not a big deal. Calling boduli commies just fits the steroetype, nothing more, nothing less.
Ziva – I’m in my early 40’s…I love being Croatian and have a huge sense of pride for our people. when I was 17 – 19 I lived there…saw a lot of things…and believe me I saw a lot of things…I was only 1 of maybe 3 guys that wore a crucifix on my team (i was living and playing soccer amongst hrvati, muslimane and cedo’s)…Tito was everywhere (his picture i mean) and I couldnt believe what I was experiencing because from how I was raised…we came from a different planet. but i realized something after many months…that was their life…thats was their environment…they didnt know differently and if they tried to change things they ended up with huge problems…in short…i learned not to judge why people did what they did…some people had to and I could care less…i dont like yugo’s, commies and especially those serbs who pretend we are all the same…since hrvatska has been free I love us as a people and i love our passion to let everyone know we are HRVATI…so i just cant stand when someone is being called a commie! my father’s family suffered like hell in slavonija because of the communists…his whole family lost what was theirs for generations and it all went to the commies…he was in jail several times and his uncle died because he was an ustasa! you dont know people’s story’s…they can be far more dramatic than what I just mentioned…so imagine if you called a guy a commie and his family went through hell because of the communists?

word on the street is that Ziva is from zagreb guys
For those of you who like his music enjoy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFIAE47WeA8
@Slavonac
It’s awesome.
people from siroki are good people…and I’ve never ever heard any of them call someone a commie especially when they dont know the person!
Ziva Istina sounds like he is from Siroki Brijeg, lol
Telling Croats how to be Croats since 1991 🙂
@Ziva – I’m guessing you’re kidding right? you must be!
@Ivica….that is true, his family is from the island….which makes him a commie. All those boduli are/were yugo-lovers.
@Tom…….does it matter where I am from. The truth knows no location.
@Ante…..congrats on the ESPN news. Just curios???? Will these be timely pieces done right after matches or general profiles.
@ ante k
very cool news about espn soccernet! congrats!
if the olic shirt is a success, you might have to open up a forum just for brainstorming of new shirt pics/ideas/phrases.
@Ante Kvartuč
Bravo! Working in Zagreb would be amazing! If you don’t give up on it you will always have a legit shot.
Congrats on the ESPN news as that is quite the honor! Keep up the good work!
@ Mihovil,
I’m just enjoying the ride.
Almost there…
@TheGoldenChild
“I get chills every time I watch that video. The announcer should get some type of award.”
Euphoria @ it’s finest!
@Ana @DinamoDennis
I will take anyone over Dick Howard. Although he does not do the play by play job duties, he is unequivocally the worst Canada has to offer in regards to football/soccer analysts. He literally goes nuts when anyone mentions goal line technology as he is dead set against it. He is nothing more than annoying really.
@ARMADA87
@Ante Kvartuč
@Dukic
Found this for ya. It is just over nine minutes of Robert Prosinecki highlights taken from a Barca game in 96.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_obereGP0o&feature=relmfu
Nk San Jose is gonna have one tough time to defend that title….that’s a fact. No flopping this season Dukic. =)
For those of you arguing about the 4-4-2 and other formations, here’s a little homework. His comments on Italy are also interesting, and you can have a good argument for or against on how we would fair against a team that played that way.
http://www.uefa.com/trainingground/coaches/video/videoid=537341.html?autoplay=true#tg_formations
big time baby. nk san jose is coming in strong. lots of talents. lets see if we click.
@ Dukic,
You’re right. Lebo left as a free agent to OC and CroatianSports.com picked up the young Ante Marusic from San Jose for a future third-round pick and cash considerations.We expect big things from Ante.
@ante
you forgot ante marusic. he is playing for you too.
@ Ziva
Come on now, Tudor is barely a Splicanin.
He’s raised on Hvar. He’s an otocanin.
Rotten child on your team means instant elimination. He may look like Steve Kerr but he doesn’t have the magic like him.
Daaaaaamn!!! CroatianSports making long lasting friendships. Whatya know…
Good for you guys…
And to think I didn’t even get an invite 🙂
Me and Fisto over Dinamo and Hajduk? This isn’t 2009…the guy is in my wedding…Dinamo Hajduk isnt even a topic for discussion anymore
It has just been confirmed:
FISTO is in!!
Can’t wait for BBB and Fisto to get into it over stupid Hajduk/Dinamo stuff…
No Fisto?!?!
@ Denis,
I think these shirts will come out nice. Once we get some orders, I will contact Uli.
As far as the tournament, these people are confirmed for Team CroatianSports:
Ante Kvartuc
Denis Svircic
Rob Uvanovic
Ante Baricevic
Joe Buscaino (1 game)
Shain Rossi
Matt Lebo
Possibles–
Dragec
Josip
Roko
Rossi’s brother
Any of the Prebanda’s??
I don’t think we have enough for 2 teams…
Thoughts anyone…
Cant wait to see how this shirt will turn out. I will most likely have a shirt in three different colors.
How is team CS looking for the tournament? We have a draft coming up really soon. I haven’t played soccer all year. Do we have enough heads for 2 teams?
@Mali – Oh damn! How the heck did you remember and not me?? Geez, don’t tell my girlfriend. haha
I thought you had a loved one’s birthday to celebrate.
@Mali.. So I would make it to Alabama? Ha ok. I can deal with that. Now I just need to know if they need me.
@Colin:
One third of one way.
Never heard the HRT broadcast, gotta love the enthusiasm.
@ Ana / Ante Kvartuc – +1 on the pink lady version, great surprise for my sister’s birthday. Any chance they’d be done by May 19th?
Hey, If you guys need a goalkeeper in your croSports soccer match, Mali hrvat has on several occasions offered to pay for a greyhound bus to LA!
@Ante K
Razov’s team moved to Division A. Caught up with him at the wedding this weekend. Don’t worry Ante B, you’re gonna be ok. Just get a nice 7 & 7 in a sippy cup, stand in goal, and aim for the ball in the middle.
Please, Razov could easily take three of us on at once.
Please tell me were in the “B” league because if we’re in the A league, nema sanse da cu igrat
@ Baricevic,
It’s gonna be great watching you go toe-to-toe vs.
We’ll see. but it sounds like corluka has to be next…unless another HERO emerges at Euro.
@Kvartuc , you guy’s should have designed the Rep. Uniforms.
@ andrej L
no not the british guy, theres some other guy
and its not about the accent….im sure craig is a nice guy but as a commentator u wanna hear them really get into it kinda like the guys in south america haha…he just acts too reserved for my taste
Skills?! Atrocious. I haven’t played soccer in at least 15 years. By ball up? You mean on the floor after running for five minutes.
@ Ante BBB
Welcome to the team. Looking forward to watching your Dinamo skills on the field. Will you be partying with us that night.
FYI to ALL–Ante BBB is a puppy dog in person. Hopefully he balls it up for TEAM CROsports this tournament.
Nice!pherhaps a deluxe version could be made available with a little recording gizmo like in the fancy birthday cards,you press the sleeve and get “jedan- nulaaa,druga minutaaaaa!”that would be a neat party trick!
I will wait for the Armada 8975321 Italian Rejka shirts . But this is nice too
@dinamodennis
craig forrest needs to b fired, and replace him w. someone from the uk lol the best commentator is that irish guy..or was he scottish…eitherway im sure u know who im talking about haha
Kvartuc,
Me playing soccer that weekend is official. Our foot race might have to weight as I can only exert enough pressure for the games. It will happen one day I promise. Who knows it might be just be impromptu. I already owned you in fuss ball
Ivan Rakitić se potukao na treningu!
http://sportski.net.hr/nogomet/nasi-u-svijetu/rakitic-se-potukao-na-treningu-seville
@ Ziva
Giovanni Rosso LOL talk about a blast from the past… He reminds me of that Euro 2004 squad and the complete lack of talent we had on that squad. People think we’re thin going into this Euro, people need to take a look at some of the scrubs we sent to Portugal that year: Rosso, Ivica Mornar, Stjepan Tomas, Mato Neretljak, etc. and the even though he was talented, the headcase of alllllll headcases, Igor Tudor.
Let me know when a Corluka shirt comes out.
Bilic doesn’t care about formation: (another Redknapp)
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/slaven-bilic-spain-italy-two-084000886–sow.html
I’ll wait for the Petar Krpan or Giovani Rossi tshirts.
@ Ante
I can make you an XXL if you want one.
Is it official? Are we racing in 3 weeks? You once told me that you could beat me in a 100meter race. do you want to go on record right now with that?
Bare foot or shoes?
@ ana
You leave Craig Forfest alone!
Oh I see it only goes up to XL. No worries, I’ll just take that one then. Foot race? I’m down! Only after copious amounts of Jameson.
@ ana,
Pink would actually work since the design is a positive. I can definitely do that for you. No shirts have been made yet. Once I get 8-10 orders, I will go to my shirt guy.
Send me an email or we can talk on facebook later tonight about your special order. but it can be done, no problem.
@ante kvartuc
whats the sizing chart on these?
& u feel like accommodating your female readers by offering xxs or xs in pink? 😀
@ HRSport,
I will get back to you in the next 24 hours.
@ ante B,
If you needed an XXXL I would accomodate you sir. So when’s that foot race? We can do it Memorial Day weekend. And film it for the fine audience of Croatiansports.com.
How many seconds of a head start do you need?
@Vatrena Cast

@vatrena cast
our commentators are shit? i dont know where u live buddy and what commentators u get stuck w. the but the croatian ones are awesome! theyre so full of passion and funny and dont censor themselves
everytime champions, euro or wc rolls around i get stuck listening to canadian commentators, theyre the worst, so boring and no passion and everything is too censored
seriously ill take any fob commentators over them, polish…russian…i can understand only half of what they say and its still more amusing then the canadian ones
I’d buy the shirt without the commentary, just Olic telling everyone to STFU.
Great shirt guys! I will definitely wear one as I have always supported Olic on this site since day one. May I please have a XX small for my girlish figure (read: man boobs). Hvala unaprijed! XXL would be perfect
@Ante
U’r welcome! Did you check your FB-Messages? I’ve wrote you regarding a cooperation with HRSPORT.
Looking forward to your feedback!
Pozdrav
Vjeko
our commentators are shit
very sharp….will definitely pick one up!
@Allen
Time to turn a new leaf. You know you want one.
I get chills every time I watch that video. The announcer should get some type of award.
@HRSport
Thanks for the link and glad you guys like the design.
Danke Danke!
I’m sorry but I’ll never wear anything Olic related.
Really nice work! We’ve made some “promo” in Germany! 😉

Fantastic shirt, Team CSR! Once I get paid tomorrow and I’m gonna snap up one of these bad boys!
Another awesome idea, I think is this picture (the silhouette of Carli) and a caption “TRI – NULAAAA!!!”
typo on m part that is necu not nacu -U-
I almost cried when he scored that goal. The lighting that went though my body will never be forgotten. A nation thanks you for that goal Olic!

Off topic boys, I think it might be time to do something with that headline “Buy The Latest Croatian Gear” and the two old jerseys that are under it. Funny how I haven’t noticed how out-dated it is ’til now. Must have been the Olic shirt offer that drew my attention there…
I will be wearing this shirt to the bar when I watch the CL finals.
Sick shirt. Could have added all the other hero goals against Italy,Germany, England…Still would rather have Jelavic and Mandza start over Olic and bring him on in the 60th for an energy boost
Awesome!
🙂
