Croatia U-21 Starting Lineup: Posavec (Hajduk) – Uremović (Rubin Kazan), Benković (Celtic), Katić (Glasgow Rangers), Sosa (Stuttgart) – Šunjić (Dinamo)- Halilović (Standard Liege), Moro (Dinamo), Vlašić (CSKA Moskva), Brekalo (Wolfsburg) – Jakoliš (Admira Wacker)
The Croatian U-21 team is stacked with talent. Vlašić, Halilović, Brekalo. Romania should not have been a problem for them in their Euro 2019 opener Tuesday night in San Marino.
However, it was Murphy’s Law in its finest form. “Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.”
11′ The ball barely nicks off of Benković’s arm in the box – and after a VAR review – a penalty is given.
14′ Hajduk keeper Josip Posavec hesitates off the line to grab the ball and gets caught in ‘no man’s land.’ It’s a wide open shot on goal for Hagi who makes it 2-0 for Romania inside 15 minutes.
14′ Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo is subbed out of the game due to an apparent knee injury following a slide tackle. Brekalo will receive an MRI on Wednesday but he is expected to miss the rest of the tournament even though he walked off the pitch under his own power.
66′ Stuttgart’s Borna Sosa looked amateur at best when he got completely turned inside-out by Romanian Baluta to make the game 3-1.
It was a comedy of errors for this Croatian U-21 side. The one highlight of the match for the Mali Vatreni was Nikola Vlašić singlehandedly putting Croatia back in the game in the 18th minute with a decent running strike from 23 yards out. Croatia had their chances to get back in the match with eight corners, four shots on target, and 55% ball possession; but conceding two goals inside 15 minutes and losing Brekalo for the rest of the match was too much to overcome.
I have to put the magnifying glass on 23 year-old captain Alen Halilović. This could have been a breakout tournament for the supposed wunderkind, but with another subpar performance – where he looked almost invisible on the day – his prophecy of being the Croatian Messi may be over before it even begins. It’s a shame if he can’t spark two solid games against France and England after a pathetic showing vs. Romania.
After missing two penalty kicks against England, the French U-21 side scored in the 89th minute and added an injury time England own goal to pull out a 2-1 victory. Croatia will face France on Friday in a must-win game.
^
That’s so true.
Croatia is just a nationality anyone can get at anytime they choose.
To be Croatian is a choice, just like Yugoslav communists that killed Catholic Croats have now chosen to be Croats. And they only chose to be Croats because the Serbs made them choose.
No Croats without Serbs, so please stop acting like you’re proud to be Croats, you’re only fooling yourselves and not the Serbs.
Is that you Crnkovic? Are you watching me at
Most precious blood?
^
You’d speak Croatian then?
Huh? They are Dinaric Dalmatians.
@Elvis
Let’s keep it simple here, if both your parents aren’t Croatian, then, like you say about Black/White Miss Croatia, you are not a Croat.
So, @Elvis, are you a Croat? I say NO.
@Haet
What are you talking about I’ve
Been bitching about Sammy and
Miss Black Croatia for how long now ?
Imagine seeing a headline in a Japanese paper that said “American born Jap scores his first goal for Japan” and it shows a White man w/ wearing a Japanese jersey. You’d think it was a prank. But we are required to pretend any non-white is a potential white national. The kid pointed out what everyone else can see that the emperor has no cloths so the kid was Justifiably punished for Hate Speech while everyone agreed Free Speech exists.
@Elvis, look at that link you provided on June 18 at 9:09am, scroll down a bit and you’ll see the headline “American born Croat blah blah blah”, and it shows a negro named Morris wearing a Croatian jersey. And that’s a headline in a Croatian paper!
If he’s “croatian” then there’s no such thing as croatian and WTF is the point if anyone can be “croatian”? What’s the point of having borders? To keep a random selection of humanity on one side and a random selection of humanity on the other? -That’s RETARDED.
So it’s “racist” if you don’t want Croatia to look like Morris in the future but you think “anti-racists” have a legitimate point? Self sacrifice and treason are legitimate points to be considered?
And VAR not being for us (Pogba offside position and pushing Mandzukic in the back forcing an own goal, Griezmann dive).
As soon as the tournament ended I was saying Belgium were the best team. France had a good 10-20 minute spell against them where they got their goal to beat them otherwise Belgium had the best quality.
If it wasnt for that extra days rest when we’d already played an extra game worth of time thanks to all the extra times, and of course VAR being agaunst us (Perisic)Either way quite the fucking run by us.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/soccer/worldcup/2018/05/18/michel-platini-soccer-1998-world-cup-fixed-france-brazil/623327002/
@Razbijac
100% correct
To clearly see the French victory, one must understand the context of the times.
Ethnic and Racial tensions were tearing French society apart last year. There were riots and violence on the streets. Clearly the people weren’t united.
France had to win, and were the favorite, as a WC victory was a way to bring the people together and unify them.
A loss woulda been total chaos for French society, and the powers that be deemed it necessary for Les Blues to win.
Clearly we were the best team of the tournament. Had France been in better political and economic shape, they wouldn’t have won…..FIFA woulda been like, “Guys you had your victory 20 years ago, now it’s time for someone new.”
The story of a small nation overcoming all odds to win the World Cup woulda been a stronger narrative.
The only person who needs a rock off his head is Antoine Griezmann.
I don’t think most of us would say we were the best but we were driven. There’s a difference. As far as the final Croatia might still have lost but yes France was given two goals to make sure we lost.
France was the EU favorite. Multi-racial France had to win over the proud white Croats. So many France supporters said this. France was very afraid of the violence that would happen if they lost. There was some even though they won but a loss would have been much worse.
A white Nationlist Croatia winning the WC could have caused a revolution in Europe. The fix was in.
Fact, We have ALWAYS done poorly at the junior level
Think about this, France sat back and and went for the counter attack in a World cup final against a country of 4 million people. Explain that to me?
I have heard several non Croatians confidently assert we were the best team in the tournament and we were by far the better team in the final. The French were given two goals and the other two were literally almost all they did all game. Better team doesn’t always win. You Serbs will always be jealous! Truly one of the most beautiful Countries on the planet.
Not bad for 4 million people!
Yeah…..Nobody f*cking thought Iceland and Nigeria would go over a Croatian team with Real Madrid Juventus and Barclona players. Are you delusional? You were even labeled as a dark horse before the tournament began because everyone knows Argentina is too inconsistent due to a lack of effort at these tournaments. If you think Iceland or Niger were favorites over Croatia then you are delusional.
It’s called luck when the draw plays out in your favor and all the heavy weights of that tournament ended up on the other side of the draw. Call it whatever you will. When Serbia won the U20 WC, we got lucky with the draw as well. For small countries like ours, you need luck to win a tournament or go far but you can’t f*cking deny it. That’s just ignorant and small-minded.
Mate, you absolutely were not even the 3rd best team at the tournament.
It goes:
France, Belgium, Brazil then Croatia/Mexico (only put them here cause they were playing some beautiful football and they beat you guys last time around). Like I said, you got lucky in the draw. Nothing wrong with luck. But you have to face the reality when it slaps you in the face.
If you truly think Croatia was better in the final then I don’t know what to tell you. Allowing 4 goals off sloppy defense is not being better by any definition. The result would have been worse if their GK wasn’t trying to do his best Neuer impression
Nobody is minimizing your achievement. However, you’re acting like you were the best team at the tournament which is hilarious.
How is your Croatian Messi, Halilovic, doing?
You guys are just re hashing what I stated earlier!!
The srpski poster almost sounded like me. I actually agreed with a lot of what he said. I see a talent hole emerging for Croatia in the next few years and qualifying for tournaments will become tougher
@Vlad, correct. Croatia will always continue to produce players with talent. Our u21’s had one bad game and some haters just wanna claim it’s over for us.
Look at the u19 Dinamo team. They have even more talent playing alongside Marin, who isn’t overrated at all. He’s been scouted by so many top clubs and continues to perform. Props to Dinamo for keeping him and allowing the kid to develop.
Look at the talent Palaversa has. Too bad he’s gonna be loaned out most likely by Man City for a while. Hopefully he can be consistent and perform and show his talent too.
Look at guys like Kulenović, Ćuže, Horkaš, Žiger, even guys like Ivanušeć, Teklić, and Kovačević (just traded Hoffenheim from Hajduk. These are guys all under 19, (Ivanušeć just turned 20) that continue to impress and play very consistently.
Most of you may not know about him, but Luka Sučić (16 years old) plays for the Salzburg u18’s and has been gaining lots of attention with his recent performances. The kid won a player of the tourney award in a tourney that they won with teams from La Liga and some teams from other top 5 leagues (u18).
We have another guy named Marko Bulat, 17 years old and playing for Šibenik, who has gained a ton of attention from big sites and clubs and carried Šibenik in the 2018-19 season. He will probably be at Dinamo or somewhere even bigger in no time.
And we all know that sometimes it takes longer than normal for our biggest talents to become superstars. Modrić, Rakitić, Perišić, Mandžukić, etc. weren’t superstars at age 21, not even 22 or 23. Even older too. We just gotta have patience. The future is bright. I know this season hasn’t been our best, and maybe next season will be the same, but we should all be okay with waiting for our next big accomplishment for the National Team.
Luka samanic chosen 19th over all in tonight’s nba draft.
A great fit for him as the spurs are known for their ability to hone young talent.
Internet is brutal, people are saying Halilovic looks like a transitioning lesbian. Keyboard warriors! What are they gonna do when all 5’6″ of him kicks them with his vicious right foot.
cetnikz r only good at stealing money from normal good peoples money from former yugo.Yur all POS total govno…!!! admit your war CRIMES than yu stooge cetniks can talk to normal proper humans like us cros and slovenes ..who built your wealth that yu stole off us..then tried to kill us..rot in hell !!
Darko Milicic the human victory cigar…now that was a baller SRPSKI.
WHO was he drafted ahead of again?
Don’t you jealous pricks have your own site to post on…maybe ante can give you guys some pointers and web creation pointers.
Can’t wait until Jovic bombs at Real..Serbs aren’t exactly known to excel in pressure situations.
A lot of talent in that U-21 Serbia team. There’s so much talent they don’t know how to handle it, hence the reasoning for getting embarrassed in their first two games.
Croatia has always and will continue to always produce talented players it’s just how it goes. Weather they reach another World Cup final or not who cares. But one thing I can guarantee they will always be a decent nation in soccer.
Dario is trash
Forgive me for the hoops talk but Dario got traded again…to Phoenix.
He can’t be that unhappy going from the cold of minny to the desert warmth.
Kovacic is also overrated. Never progressed in his career. Doesn’t do anything in the attacking third. He can’t assist nor score goals. He’s only good at keeping possession. Brozovic is good though though he is turning 27 this year and has injury problems. Rebic has potential but he’s completely wasteful. I’ve watched every Frankfurt game this season and he’s a frustrating player to watch even though I love him as a person and think he’s an awesome guy. That’s about it. Lots of overrated talents like Pasalic, Halilovic, Coric, Benkovic, and so on. Like I said, the only ones showing great potential are Vlasic and Brekalo but not elite level world class potential.
Antonio Marin? Dude, calm down about him. He’s EXTREMELY overrated. Halilovic was a justified talent but his frame was too small and never developed physically plus all the expectations got to him. Marin is so uni-dimensional. Reminds me of all those people that thought Nemanja Radonjic was going to become the next Cristiano Ronaldo
You guys had 2 good tournaments in the last 20 years at senior level. In the latter, you had unbelievable luck with the draw and penalty situations. In all other tournaments, you massively underperformed and sometimes even lacked talent before Modric and Rakitic came along.
Anyhow, time will prove me right. Good luck in your remaining 2 U21 games. Hopefully, it’s not another debacle.
Reality is you guys only have 2 elite potential players in this generation. Vlasic and Brekalo. The latter is a bit overrated. The former isn’t anywhere near the potential of reaching the level of a Modric or Rakitic.
Maybe a Perisic…
Truthfully, you’re going to drop off HARD in a couple years. Don’t be surprised if you start failing to qualify for big tournaments. If you guys are insulted or hurt by the truth, that’s your problem.
If you can’t accept that you have a balkan mentality of losing to minnows then you’re in denial my friends.
Reports of Lovre Kalinic going to Nantes where Vaha is the coach
Raquel would kick the tar out of Anonymous.
Anonymous is right.
You got to have balls to throw rocks at at man, his wife and their 2 daughters. I can only imagine how much courage it took when they were hiding behind the bushes to wait for Rakitic’s family.
And then the running away. What if Rakitic should have taken off after them. Their courage must have been immense.
Lol. Pussies like you. Posting anonymous. Pussies going after his wife and child. Get a life loser.
Pussies? More balls than you.
Those fans who did that to Rakitic and his family are little pussies.
Cause he has Cro Citizenship. Glad
To know you Fanooks think it should be given away.
If he ever vacations in Croatia we will throw rocks at him
Like we did to Rakitic.
Why? Pulisic is a Yankee 100 percent. He doesnt speak croatian, doesnt the know culture, and the only connection he has to croatia is his grandfather
Fuck Cristian Pusilic, wish him the worst.
His grand father is probably turning in his grave.
His father is a douche.
And Olmo is now worth double after starting and scoring for Spain….
….He’ll set a club record for Dinamo in transfer fees when he’s sold.
He Olmo played for us.
Why tickle my Olmo?
Olmo scores for Spain
Yup, it’s official. Vlašić signs with CSKA until 2024
@iggy
France team was gorillas in the mist.
Apparently Vlasic has signed for 5 years In Moscow
What’s up with Colina? Is he the LB we have dreamed about since the sranjic days?? Saw he was nominated for wunderkid or whatever it’s called
David Colina will be our hero.
I watched most of the game and have to say the hand ball and Brekalo injury combined did them in. This team actually has some very good talent (Brekalo, Vlasic, Sosa (aside from
the awful giveaway), Benkovic) and players that will be good for us down the line. I even thought Bradaric looked ok and will be one to watch.
I will write off Halilovic. He’s a lazy player with talent and hence the reason he hasn’t been able to get PT anywhere. Unless he decides to play with some heart and come back and defend this kid will play in 2nd and 3rd tier leagues the rest of his life. The biggest problem is naming a kid like him captain…he doesn’t lead by example.
Jakolis was Kramaric 2.0 without the finishing skills. Very selfish play in my opinion.
We were hit on the counter so many times and they had loads of space to create. We just seemed out of sync both offensively and defensively. There is no way we will beat either England of France and will finish the group 0-3…just keeping it real. Hopefully they can play like they care and Gracan can make a few changes to light a spark in these kids.
Is the France youth team an Africa United team ?
Vuki is right
As bad as we looked at times we had a lot of ball control
Some bad luck
We weren’t as out played as the score suggests
Where have we been in last few years of youth…no where
Like others have said if we get 3-4 guys that can play we mix it up and we be ok
I do agree about the size thing Mandzukic Rebic Perisic
No one is signing up to want to defend these guys
Make em take up some Olympic/powerlifting
They can stay lean and become stronger without sacrificing much speed if any
Also, agreed on Halilovic. Hasn’t showed me anything in quite a while. He does show flashes of talent, but just lacks tactical awareness and a consistent final ball.
Wanna know what’s upsetting. The players on the pitch are very talented and showed INDIVIDUAL flashes. Very few plays where I thought they were working well as a team. Was always one of the things I used to say about our main team. I said this before, that early penalty literally killed us and was in my opinion way too harsh. Then Posavec did his best Lovre Kalinic impression and hesitated to go for a cross and it cost him. 2-0 down that early in a game is very deflating. The Vlasic goal was huge and anyone that was actually watching the game knows after that, the only thing Romania could do was sit back and counter (granted that was their main strategy anyway). If not for Borna Sosa handing Romania a goal, there was a very good chance we find a way to score. I’m still high on Sosa, he looked pretty good up until then. Whether or not people here think so. This team has the ability to beat France and England. They just need to wake up and realize it.
Halilovic is a poor mans robben…without the talent!!
He’s done…he can’t even get steady time in Belgium that says it all.
Alas overhyped youth again
I always chuckle when people talk about the bright future and reel off 15 names of guys under 23 who were good at dinamo Zagreb
Oh yea we’re going to be so good! We have nikola moro!
It’s just sad watching halilovic. He just does the same cutback to his left over and over again. Not sure there has ever been such a one footed player. I won’t close the book in him but sad to watch today
Romania was simply better
Unless we finish as the best 2nd place team…that would require victories over France and England, plus results going our way in other groups, still a long shot….
And WTF were there so many Romanians in the stands???? It was like playing an away match. Hope fully the stands won’t be packed with frenchies and pommies in the next fixtures
Well, there goes our dream of playing in the Olympics.. sigh
Who woulda thunk it?
Today proved everything I already knew:
Brekalo is the best player
Vlasic a close 2nd (although he looked better today)
…but both are puny. Perisic and Rebic are strong, fast studs.
The best thing Dalic ever did was put Brekalo at RB to learn how to defend, but inexplicably the experiment ended after a successful result.
Almost every other country has talent like Vlasic and Brekalo, what sets Croatia apart is our size. We will be bery aberage playing small ball.
I have to agree with Maminjo’s comments.
Even if you have a good squad at U21 at best 2 or 3 will become national team material. In our case we have so far 3 we can realistically count on: Vlasic, Brekalo, and Caleta-Car. And that’s SO FAR!
The next U21s, are guys that were born after Jan 1 1998. Hopefully we get 2 or 3 repka quality guys from there.
At the end of the day it’s not whether a specific team is “good” or gets outta the group, it’s whether that vintage or generation of U21s produces a coupla guys for the national team.
What a game tho between France and England.
France misses two penalties, but scores two goals in the 89’ and 90’ to win 2-1. We gotta best France to keep our hopes alive
Wow don’t mind that comment it got screwed up
ST – Kulenović
LW – Brekalo if healthy
RW – Vlašić
CAM – Halilović
CM – Ivanušeć
CM – Moro
LB – Sosa
CB – Katić
CB – Benković
RB – Bradarić maybe?
GK – Posavec
This is how we should line up for next match:
………Brekalo (if healthy)…Kulenović……….Vlašić………..
…….…………………………Halilović………………………………..
……………………Ivanušeć………………Moro………………
………Sosa………Benković……Uremović………Bradarić?
…………………………………..Posavec………………………………..
How many times is the god of halo going to dribble into traffic and lose the ball?
Is he really captain material as well?
ZERO chance of winning this group!!
This team was the weakest side in the group after US!
We still have a shot at winning the group, but it will take some luck. We need to win both and get favorable results else where, whether in our group or in other groups. It’s unlikely but I won’t write them off until we see what happens against France.
Zlatan would have Made us win the
2008 euro and 2012 Euro. He was that good.
Instead he was a Yugo Cunt thug who
Now plays in stupid MLS. Swedes still
Consider him a Balkan gypsy.
LOL at the hyperbole about our future.
U21s mean NOTHING for future senior team success.
I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true.
We’ve always been HORRIBLE in junior tournaments, but our senior team has had a lot of success.
Serbia are one of the most successful countries when it comes to junior tournaments, but they don’t deliver at the senior level.
There are also quite a few regulars in these tournaments like Austria and Poland…but these teams never do anything at the senior level.
If we lose all three games, it doesn’t mean a thing.
I wonder how much caleta my car is in the shop playing would have impacted the end result?
If BOTH Vlasic and Brekalo don’t pan out to be great talents we will struggle over the next decade.
@Branko
It’s the citizenship thing. Why did the HNS help him?
You don’t give stuff away for free.
So Romania is the new East European power house? Watch Croatia beat France next. Our defense has been shit since the WC and that includes these guys and our senior side. As a matter of fact it was shit before the WC to. They decided to cover a lot of ground and our D got better but generally our D sucks unless we give 110% effort.
Why are we even bringing up Pulisic
Seriously ????
Hey I almost bagged my prom queen.but she left with another dude.I was that close!!
Let’s talk about zlatan then and all the WHAT IFS???
The roma’s Were far hungrier you could even see it in the fan base, and the players obviously.
20 years since they have had something to root for and they say this generation is better than the crew they had in the 90’s…time will tell.
We have ruled eastern euro soccer for 2 decades and it might be time others have their day and say.
Soccer and life goes in cycles…the Croatian salmon laid her eggs last summer and are now rotting or have been consumed.
Let’s hope some of those eggs can survive and thrive in a cohesive unit once again in our lifetimes.
I’m not betting on it!
We will revert to an average side soon.
We will make the euro’s but crash out to a hungrier side in perhaps the quarters if we make it that far.
See?????????????????????
Wow ..
In and out of work and watching match.
I am curious what Halilovic cares about in life?
Funny how talented players who lack connection to something greater just don’t perform when it matters most.
Mandžukić is a prime example of what heart does in big moments.
I will not write off Halilovic yet as he has all the tools .. but making him captain ??
Romania are good and have some excellent forwards but they played like it was a World Cup final.
Scottish ref was perfect for there physical play.
These hand balls replayed in slow motion are death to defenders.
Unfortunately that is the new norm .. need to adjust.
Brekalo is there best player and his loss was the biggest breakdown.
Sosa error due to lack of PT.
I love all our technicians but can we choose some athletes too??
Romania looked like men amongst boys.
What is the point in launching free kicks if we cannot dominate aerial duels?
There is something about our grassroots system that lacks power.
Vlašić is family trained and is the only one who scored.
If we thought Romania was physical .. good luck with the speed and power of both England and France.
Jebi ga.
Take the best of this crop and let’s make a run for euro 2020.
Also feeling suspicious of our u17 hosting flop a few years back?
Who are the coaches of these youth teams and why are we NOT ready to compete on the level of required intensity?
Forgive me ..
Pulisic should of been on this team instead of playing vs Guyana tonight in meaningless gold cup.
Could you imagine him on one wing and Brekalo on the other and Vlašić at the 10 hole?
Klinsman capped his ass quick that clever striker!!
Meh.
Maybe Nenad Gracan is the problem.
Don’t really watch these games, so it’s really hard to gauge whether it’s a player or coaching issue.
How did the god Alen Halilović look?
The handball/pk combined with Brekalo coming off turned us off for a bit mentally. It was really unfortunate timing. They then seemed to settle a bit but panicked as the clock continued to tick. It is very disappointing but you can’t write these guys off just like that
@Miloš yeah, the class is there, the team is not a bad team, but we needed more heart and firepower. Some of our guys seemed to give up in like the 80’ minute.
We need to win both of our next games. We are in the group of death and lost what should’ve been our easiest game.
It’s one thing to say we have a shot at top 4 but to say “if the Mali Vatreni were ever going to win a trophy – this is it.” is just a bit too optimistic for me.
well there goes olympic dreams…. made 3 costly mistakes and paid ultimate price for each one. handball was a bit unfortunate. really frustrating game to watch. couldn’t put anything together in the final 3rd. they seemed jumpy and very antsy. kind of got shellshocked after falling down 2-0. you can see there is class with the players on the team but they couldn’t put it together
Let’s just hope that England and France tie
Didn’t think much of this team. I see about 3-5 players that may be around in 10 years otherwise don’t know why the hype. Especially in a group with France and England.
This team is a disaster, disorganized at best.
Romania just looks so much more fit than we do
Our offense can’t get anything started
Mental midget syndrome strikes again.
No way this guys are ready.
We had a lot of control just couldn’t do anything
Missing Brekalo no doubt
How can anyone say croatia playes better? Except corners they had nothing….. this romanian team is fr sure much better than croatia…
What a bone head play from Sosa
Sure the Romanian did well but come on man
This is the first time I’ve watched Domagoj Bradaric play live. From my understanding, he mainly plays left-back for Hajduk, but seems to always play on the wing for the u21s. Looked really shaky after first coming on and has slowly been getting into the game. Had two nice little moments of skill including a nutmeg, but for me, his final ball needs to improve.
I can definitely see us winning this game, but they need to score and stop getting beat with long balls. Jakolis is bang average and has been every time I’ve watched the u21s. Hopefully he can do something, if not give Kulenovic a shot.
I was actually pretty impressed with Uremovic. I’m pretty sure his main position is center back, but he’s done well at right back and stopped some dangerous attacks. He isn’t the fastest though and has been getting caught in behind.
Overall, really bad first few minutes, but definitely look like the better team after Vlasic’s bit of brilliance. This Romania team is not bad at all, but if we’re gonna have any shot in this group we need AT LEAST a draw.
Just started watching after it was 2-1
Sounds like a terrible start but while i watches we controlled most of the play
Romania fouling like mofos
If we can capitalize on one of these set plays…
We still in this
Let’s hope second half goes well
We are having lots of dangerous attacks right now…keep it up, and we will score soon
If they stop getting caught on the counter, I think they will win this game
Ah ok thanks Ante. I’m going to start watching now. Hopefully this goal will bring back some will to win. Bravo Vlašić.
Good response from the boys. Lots of energy!
Brekalo got cleaned up on a tackle. Limped off on his own power. Doesn’t look serious but sucks he’s out of this game already.
GOAL VLAŠIĆ
What happened to Brekalo? I saw he got subbed and I can’t watch the game right now
All the excitement and 13 minutes in and were done. Fuck!
This team is a joke
Wow. That’s never a penalty for me. Perisic’s in the World Cup was much more of a handball than that.
If you’re in the states, you can watch on ESPN 3/WatchESPN. Other than that, this is a good place to go when you need soccer streams: https://www.reddit.com/r/redditsoccercity/comments/c20axc/1630_gmt_romania_u21_vs_croatia_u21/
https://www.croatiaweek.com/croatia-chase-another-diaspora-talent/
Any link on this game?
This is the confirmed lineup:
Brekalo……Jakoliš……Halilović
Moro………Sunjić………Vlašić
Sosa…Katić…Benković…Uremović
…………Posavec…………
Also, 19 year old Franko Kovačević from Hajduk has just been sent to Hoffenheim. Good for him. He’s a great young player.
If that’s true looks like we got a real douche on our hands
Anyone have a stream for the match?
Maminjo – story behind Caleta-Car, is actually kinda BS. He insisted on not going to the euros because he has a pre-planned/pre-paid vacation that he didn’t wanna cancel. That’s supposedly why Dalic didn’t get into either game last week for the main squad
https://www.vecernji.hr/sport/izbornik-dalic-na-poseban-nacin-kaznio-caletu-cara-1325475
What was the issue with Caleta-Car?
His team would not let him participate?
Did this have anything to do with the fact that France was in the same group?
Go the young Vatreni
Confidence is high all round keep the momentum going for more Croatian success
