Three pressing questions for Hajduk fans from Poljud:
1. Will Hajduk finally win the league this year?
2. Will Rebić be a positive or negative for the club this season?
3. Will ‘domovina’ Croatians travel to North America next year for the World Cup?
CroatianSports.com’s own Peter Novaković was at Poljud Sunday to ask some Hajduk faithful these questions:
Why did uremovic move to japan? Lol
Money
9m over 3 years
Which he can happily blow away with Roppongi only a hop skip and jump away

Hajduk won’t win the league, but they will likely improve from last season due to Garcia and a few of the youngsters he’s been playing. It doesn’t help that Dinamo is loaded with depth in every position.
#2:
Rebić gives Hajduk more depth, but they needed to fill other areas before spending on him.
He’s a wildcard that will probably end up being a negative long term (due to the money spent on him, and ir hurting the development of Durdov/Brajković).
Short term, he might be a good boost but there’s an equal chance he doesn’t have any impact.

There will be Croats, just as there were Croats in Qatar. There are always those with money (who pretend they don’t have it) and then there are those resourceful ones.
As a Hajduk fan I’m not optimistic that we can win the title. Last season with Dinamo playing so bad we missed a big opportunity to win after 20 years.
Garcia likes playing attacking football which is great, but this will also expose our defence which in my opinion is weaker than last year. We need to quickly find some good CB’s.
With Rebic he needs to get fit first and then we’ll see what he can do in HNL.
Sego has been disappointing on the left wing for Hajduk and Brajkovic has been given the nod by Garcia in that position.
We have had a good start to our WC qualifying campaign and should qualify and I expect that some fans from Croatia will travel to North America but I expect that majority of our fans will come from USA, Canada and other diaspora countries.
Nema sanse da Hrvati u Americi and Kanadi mogu napraviti istu atmosferu kao sto je bila na Euru proslo lito.
But good luck.
What good did that do anyway?
It was our worst ever finish in a tournament (2 points on -3 goal diff.) and we were one of the favorites to advance.
prediction-Rebic goes postal on whoever they play next game he is allowed to play and takes out 5 players, 2 coaches and fills in the complete officiating team with a flurry of punches. Go Ante Go.
As a Hajduk fan:
1) 10% chance. Pajaziti, Bamba, Livaja, Ivusic, + are all top HNL players. But Hajduk is gonna Hajduk.
2) Meh. My guess is a Brekalo-level impact at BEST.
3) lol no.
