Here are the results for Aug. 20-22…
Hajduk reclaimed top spot in the Prva Liga Sunday, overcoming another slow start, en route to a 4-1 win over 12th place Zadar. Reminiscent of their mid-week Europa League playoff win against Romania’s Unirea Urzicini, the hosts again spotted their guests a 1-0 lead as Toni Pezo put Zadar in front in the 39th minute. After a relatively quiet game Thursday, Marin Tomasov regained his scoring touch to equalize for Hajduk just five minutes later. Player of the game Ante Vukušić put Hajduk in front to stay in the 48th minute before sealing the game for the hosts with a second strike in the 81st minute. Senijad Ibričić put the icing on the cake, adding a fourth goal for Hajduk in the 90th minute. Hajduk has now scored 19 goals in just five league games while allowing just four.

HNL TABLE THROUGH 5 MATCHES
Rukavina still scoring, but we're back to not playing Morales and Kramaric. Its always Rukavina and Sammir scoring. Dodo – 0 goals in 8 games.. situations becoming comical..
Hajduk are gonna need chasing down.. I'm not happy with the signing of the Senagalese striker cos that does nothing for the Croatian national team. Rather than bring Keric or bring through Kramaric.. Mamic thinks its right to put a Senegal player who already proven himself above this level in the number 9 slot. Especially if we loan him we are making a player for Loko Moscow.
Its not good. As i say it should be a limit of 5 foriegn players and am surprised Croatia with its strong feelings on this subject does not have this in place. Maybe its cos its never come up before and HNS never thought Mamic would be that stupid.
Mandzukic put on a solid performance on Friday, didn't have the greatest game but it was his Bundesliga debut against the strongest team in Germany ( maybe in Europe). He had Thomas Muller and Philip Lahm on his side and he did very well against them defensively using his speed and winning 50/50 balls. I would play him on the wing as he can use his speed that way, we got plenty of strikers anyway.
On another note I really think Bilic should consider playing a different formation due to the fact that we don't have a decent DM…that formation was built around Niko Kovac and just isn't as effective without him
Hmmm another win for HNK Split and Lakic and Ilicevic making Mandzo look shit and Bilic corrupt… Hmm reasons to be smug! Ilicevic deserves call over Pokrivac, but give Ivo few more months and then it should not be in doubt.
How much is Mandzo paying into Slaven Bilic's bank account for his place in team. No justification for it whatsoever.
Lakic stuffed the Croatian league, proved himself in Holland then dragged a sleeping giant out Bundesliga 2 and now scoring in Bundesliga 1. that is more than Mandzo has ever done..
Lakic, already scored 2. I'd say by time he reaches 7 or 8 he should start getting the call ahead over Mandzo every time… Mandzo still living off favoritism, but that time has to run out eventually..
