Dinamo Zagreb defeated Astana for a fourth time this year to keep their Conference League campaign alive. A Zagorac penalty shot save in the 12th minute helped Dinamo set the tone for the rest of the match as they settled in. Gabriel Vidović would open the match scoring in the 48th minute with a cool, calm placement of his shot from inside the box. Kaneko would seal the deal in the 79th going top shelf with a wonderful shot following a corner kick.
Dinamo now only need a draw against Ballkani next month in Zagreb to book their spot in the Conference League knockout round next year.
Past few days roundup updates for our defenders and strikers
Stanisic with 2 assists last night. will continue to play regularly but not in bundesliga..i personally feel he is more suitable playing against possession offensive teams like psg.
Roko simic and musa dropped to bench for a month and have not scored any goals since mid oct
Juranovic will have a chance to revive his career in the club with the coach around
Caleta car has been dropped to the bench for a month
Gvardiol is doing well with the assist. 2nd best player on pitch with Ake stressing him out.
Medic on bench last match..finally saw sosa started 2nd match for past 6 wks
Benkovic is dropped to bench for a month
Dijon dropped to bench for two months
Bradaric is playing well and regularly.
Erlic and pongracic doing well.
Kramaric will be back to form soon
Budimir will continue to do well
I think that Roko Simic was injured ? and has missed our recent U21 matches and came on for Salzburg the other day for the last 20 minutes. Josip Sutalo has missed last couple of matches for Ajax and I think that he must be also in the injury list? Mario Pasalic last night was not even on the team list and Brekalo came on in the 82 min for Fiorentina.
And Belgium is ahead of our republic yet again. I will never understand this
Livakovic got lit up tonight for 6
Hope Livakovic doesn’t become a Svetlovic just as his personal phycologist is retiring this year from the team.
Good performance by Dinamo in the second half and a well-deserved 2 – 0 win in the end. First half not so good where Astana was the team with better chances including a missed penalty in the 11 minute when Zagorac saved well to his right.
Astana were kept chanceless in the second half and when they were reduced to ten men with 20 minutes to go it was all over. Goals to Gabriel Vidovic early in the second half and a second to Japanese player Kanake.
It was good to see Gabrijel Rukavina finally get a chance replacing Vidovic in the 85 minute.
Good to see Gabriel Vidovic score again today.
He scored a big game winning goal just a few days ago against Osijek, and now today as well.
Just as people on here were questioning whether he is a still good prospect or not.
That still needs to be determined. Scoring goals in HNL and against Astana doesn’t give anyone a yes/no if he is legit.
He’s 19.
He’s scoring game winners in the HNL and Europa.
He’s a good prospect.
If you saw the game, there is nothing to cheer about Vidovic’s performance. Petar Sucic had a good shot on goal and the goalkeeper saved it, the ball went to unmarked Vidovic 10 meters out who slotted it in. Against Osijek he came on as a sub and scored a deflected goal in stoppage time.
Good on him for scoring the goals, it’s good for the confidence but I still stand by my assessment that he is not a left winger and never will be. It will be interesting to see if Dinamo will pay 4 million for him to Bayern at the end of the loan period or Vidovic going back to Bayern. Cannot see him playing for Bayern and if I Was Dinamo, I would not pay the 4 million.
dobar si.
It is one thing to read stats and another thing to watch the games played.
I hope that Dinamo win and keep the Cro flag flying in Europe albeit in the third-tier competition. Difficult match ahead with artificial pitch, subzero temperatures, extra travelling and different time zone. Dinamo to win by and odd goal or two.
