The Croatian national handball team have qualified for the Main Round at the 2012 European Championships in Serbia with another 31-29 win; this time over Slovenia Wednesday night. In their opening round match, the Croatian Cowboys barely got by the Icelandic squad by the same score after being down one at halftime. Croatia’s Ivan Čupić was the player of the match, scoring nine goals on only 12 shots.
With a 2-0 record in group play, Croatia have already qualified for a spot in the Main Round. With a win or tie over Norway on Friday, Croatia will win Group D outright and be allocated to the D1 spot in the next round, where they would play potential Group C winners Spain on January 22nd and most likely France and Hungary thereafter. The French have been Croatia’s achilles heel in recent years, but the Cowboys only have to finish in the top-two in the main round to qualify for a semifinal berth.
If only our football tam wa like our handball team
its still important to beat Norway, we need to carry as many points as possible to the next round
Much better against Slovenia, defensively though still need to improve
This has been a good tournament, watched most of the games and many coming down to final minute
Bravo momci!!!!!
Idemo dalje!!!!
