DAY 2
Marin Čilić came off the bench to join Ivan Dodig Saturday in doubles action to save the day for Croatia. Čilić/Dodig surprisingly lost the first two sets to Nestor/Pospisil but got their act together to take the final three sets for the doubles win. Croatia are now up 2-1 on Canada going into Sunday and only need one win to move onto the next round. Borna Ćorić should lead off in singles against Denis Shapovalov. But if he should lose and a fifth match made necessary, expect Ćilić to pick up the racket to bring Croatia home in Osijek.
DAY 1
Croatia is hosting Canada in Osijek this weekend in the first round of the Davis Cup World Group. Australian Open finalist Marin Čilić was rested Friday night in singles action where Borna Ćorić defeated Vasek Pospisil in four sets but 179th ranked Viktor Galović was unable to make it two Croatian victories on the day. Canada’s Denis Shapovalov easily disposed of Galović in straight sets with the two nations now heading into their Saturday doubles match tied at one. The first team to win three matches moves onto the next round.
So what are the potential matches? Hopefully borna does his thing but cilic should crush it at home and the way he playing

Čilić played today with Dodig, overcoming a two set to none deficit to win in five. He’ll play match number five if Ćorić can’t finish off Canada in match four.
Is Cilic allowed to play on day 3 ? cos if not we might be in trouble
