Croatia should be happy with a 0-0 draw against England in front of an empty stadium in Rijeka Friday night. England hit the post twice during the match and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford missed two sitters in front of the goal. Although, you have to give credit to Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Dominik Livaković for making the saves and being in the right place at the right time.
The Croatian defense looked shaky at times but newcomers Tin Jedvaj and Josip Pivarić held their own, especially coming down the flanks. The Croatian midfield of Luka Modrić and Ivan Rakitić looked uninterested on the day as England controlled ball possession for 54% of the match.
Even with solid looks on goal from Ivan Perišić, Ante Rebić and Andrej Kramarić, both sides looked as if they were playing a friendly. Too many soft passes from both teams led to countless turnovers. Now both sides sit on one point through the first two matches of Nations League.
Croatian fans are now rooting for Spain to beat England on Monday. Barring a complete collapse in which they lose the last two matches of group stage, Spain will finish first. At this point, the Vatreni are looking to finish second in the group which would allow them to stay in League A come next UEFA Nations League tournament.
Croatia-England Match Highlights
ZIVELA JUGOSLAVIJA
The draw was fine. I remember the days when we
We’re losing matches late. We couldn’t draw for shit.
Lets hope for some revenge against Spain.
Modric is better than Boban Zee also Prosinecki was bettee than Boban Prosinecki even said Modric is the greatest ever Croatian footballer.
You mean boban d or. Lol. Zvone is the greatest!
“Hazard has said Modric deserves the Balon Dor good to see.”
He plays in the engine room for a team that won the CL and a national team that came 2nd at the WC so it’s hard to make an argument that he doesn’t deserve it.
Hazard is a better player than Modric no doubt, but his teams didn’t do as well as Modric’s.
But here’s the funny thing, some on this site didn’t want Real Madrid to even make the CL final let alone win it, without which I don’t think Modric wins those awards.
They said Modric would’ve been tired at WC, but now they’re the ones celebrating loudest Lol!
But I’m not hanging shit on ’em because I know without any doubt that they’re rapt they didn’t know what the fuck they were talking about.
Real missing Ronaldo now, Modric gotta lift his game.
Will 1 goal and 6 assists be enough to get Real 3rd place in La liga this season?
Portugal had like 6 draws if you include the final when they won Euro 2016. They had the weakest group and they had 3 Group Stage draws they were very luck not to lose to Hungary 4:3.Then they had a ET game us us and Poland. Also they defeated Feance in ET 1:0. Hungary won their group.
Hazard has said Modric deserves the Balon Dor good to see.
Federer has played so much tennis over the years that the shits taken it’s toll, and that that explains his form slump a while back (around the time when Cilic beat him), so he started playing less tournaments to freshen up and it worked a treat.
Cilic hasn’t beaten Federer since, but has lost to Jarry.
Bonus though, Cilic will be fresh for his next tournament, Federer at 37 not so much because he made a SF again.
Cilic made hay while the sun shone at that US open, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
@Iggy
Are you stupid?
If you don’t read my comnents don’t respond you fucking Yugo cunt.
“Federer started playing less tournaments to freshen himself up”
There is no bait to be had… This is what I’ve said along
The world cup result was largely luck and it’s back to reality for Croatia
270 minutes with only one lucky goal?? Doesn’t sound great
England shouldve won yesterday if not for some terrible finishing
Interesting how one of the commentators refused to be Croatia fan boy and talked about how they’ve only won one of their last six competitive matches. Penalties count as draws
I love the way your argument is that Federer was shit when he was 33, but he’s actually good now that he’s 37.
fucking LEL
Why anyone takes the bait from that moron is beyond me..
I’m guessing after midnight is when his meds wear off.
“Again I like to point out that Croatia wont win every single game until the end of time.”
This is true.
In fact beating Denmark and Russia on PK’s are considered draws.
PK’s are used to sort out who advances to the next round.
Lot of luck involved with penalty shootouts.
France, Belgium, Portugal and Spain topping their groups proving who the big boys are.
Croatia the runners-up at the WC are last and winless in their group, proving that at the WC they made hay while the sun shone.
Thanks Russia for beating Spain on PK’s.
England shoulda beat Croatia yesterday as well, very lucky Croatia to get a point.
My favourite part was when Pivaric was chasing a ball back towards his own goal and Sancho was 50m away and Pivaric still shit himself.
Lucky Sancho didn’t start yesterday or it woulda been a rough day.
“So Croatia is pretty much mediocre at every sport, and any success Croatia has had is a result of a pure luck or an opponent beating themselves.”
Should I believe when Croatia lose it was always fixed or they weren’t motivated?
What if the big teams aren’t motivated against Croatia?
Or is everyone motivated all the time against Croatia?
“So…Cilic won his grand slam because of Nikishori beating all the good players for him, and the good players that Cilic faced being out of form or something.”
Are you stupid?
How can Nishikori beat all the good players when there is the other side of the draw?
Cilic beat Federer who was gassed at that point from too much tennis, and Nishikori beat Djokovic, that’s all I said, and that’s what happened.
Also @Iggy is a communist former Yugo you moron, so bringing communism into the convo is stupid as.
Personally, I would like to see a shakeup in the midfield. We could do better with Kovacic replacing Rakitic. That would add pace to our attack, which was sorely missing against England. Kovacic is not a defensive midfielder, so the replacement for Brozovic should have been Badelj; with Kovacic replacing Rakitic. Then Rakitic can play as a substitute for any of our midfielders, which is a valuable role in itself.
^^ Well put. 0-0 is not such a bad result against a top team, when our top team is trying to figure out the new lineup and the stakes are relatively low.
The fact of the matter is that Crostia DOES play better when they are more motivated. Historic games have shown that.
It’s been seen when we’ve beaten teams like Germany, Italy, England when nobody thought we should have.
It’s been seen when we just squeak through to qualify for tournaments because (now all of a sudden) everyone has a motivated sense of urgency.
And then of course our latest world cup run…
So it’s pretty much undisputed fact that Croatia plays better when they feel it matters more.
Again I like to point out that Croatia wont win every single game until the end of time. They will lose some, they will tie some .. so wouldn’t you rather they were winning during the world cup …when it mattered more .. then winning these last 2 games …when it matters less?
I will say this though.. I wonder how both the Spain game and England game would have played out if we had an in-form Mandzukic playing?
With Spain you could argue we still may have picked up a loss … but against England we could have won (if Mandzo didnt pop one in ..someone else could have because defenders would have been focusing on him)
@ maninjo
“When I first started working, almost every older Croat family member would ask me whether there was a benefits package. Never asked about the salary. They just needed assurance that the company will cover the stupid teeth cleaning at the dentist..”
Yep, I couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve seen it myself. The Tito Regime instilled a sense of poverty and helplessness that became so pathological and pervasive, in order to make people reliant and in awe of the Regime.
Anyway gettin’ back to football….our only hope now is for Spain to defeat England at home this monday in order to clinch first place. This way they field a second string squad against us in Croatia on our last game–which will enable us to gain points to avoid the dreaded relegation.
Also, this Monday we got Jordan of all countries in a friendly. Just how the heck did we get this match???
@HRV
The Tito effect was awful for Croats. Anyone over 50 still suffers from it.
When I first started working, almost every older Croat family member would ask me whether there was a benefits package. Never asked about the salary. They just needed assurance that the company will cover the stupid teeth cleaning at the dentist, lol.
Croats of that generation need someone to rule over them and take care of them, even if they are intelligent and talented…the subordinate mentality takes over. Almost as if they do not deserve to achieve.
That’s why I like that thr youth in Cro are taking advantage of the Internet and other avenues to achieve.
Mate Rimac, that kid from Solin who made the Steorea Smart bench, that Surf and Fries guy who expanded worldwide, Albert Gajšak from Makerbuino… Self made and calling all the shots themselves (unfortunately having to pay their own dental fees however).
“ROGER FEDERER has warned Borna Coric that he will be playing aggressive tennis as he hunts revenge for his Halle Open loss”
This makes Borna’s win even sweeter.
@maminjo
Excellent posts. I laughed on the Tito line. I just remember that idiot Black Zodiac way back praising him constantly. I think way too many suffer from this subordination.
Hey Anonymous Dick: You’re looking at it the wrong way. Croatia is the BEST runner-up in World Cup history, and in fact, one could easily make an argument that they should have been WC champs. But let’s not go there again. It still makes me sick as reading your ignorant posts.
When Cilic won his US open it was because he was playing unbaliable tennis both Feder and Nadel have said when Cilic s in top form he is untouchable. Coric won because he played great today not luck. Iggy thank you for all your tennis updates and your prediction was spot on. Let’s hope Coric has a great game against Durkovic and see what happens.
@ Iggy
Thank god for the Shanghai masters!
@ Svima
I want to see all the elite U21 ballers in that November senior squad.
Let’s beat Spain and then go to Wembley and send home England AGAIN!
That November crew needs all sorts of young energy.
Finally the November UNL squad will be forward thinking.
I am particularly interested in LB and RW.
That LB spot has been the obvious target of everyone we play.
Then offensively the RW will add the missing dimension.
Still believe in crew for November:
Halilovic
Kovačić
Pjaca
Rog
Sosa
Vlašić
But it’s all for naught anyway since, even if Coric beats Nole in the final, he just got lucky cos
(a) he didn’t beat Nadal
(b) murray is injured so there’s that
(c) he was born after pete sampras and andre agassi retired
(d) Federer is past his prime and so is Nole
(e) Oh and DelPo was injured so obviously the whole thing is luck
(f) he could have been born in another country and then he wouldn’t even be Croatian so really it’s all just luck isn’t it?
(g) did he win? I mean, what IS reality? Ever heard of Cartesian doubt, after all?
LEL it’s actually pathological, your condition
lmao
so Cilic doesn’t deserve to win unless he personally beats Nole, Fed, Murray and Nadal all on his own, none of them are ever allowed to lose to anyone else?
You’re just stupid
Anyway, Coric just smoked Fed in straight sets, JUST like i posted ^^ above when i gave a 100% iggy guarantee he’d win!
So Croatia is pretty much mediocre at every sport, and any success Croatia has had is a result of a pure luck or an opponent beating themselves.
I’ve mentioned this before, how people over analyze and dismiss all the positives…yet completely ignore the negatives. I don’t know what to call this mental condition, but it’s prominent in many Croats.
I blame Communism that taught subordination.
I think Anonymous suffers from it.
So…Cilic won his grand slam because of Nikishori beating all the good players for him, and the good players that Cilic faced being out of form or something. I see.
Yet no mention of Cilic being denied an Australian Open title when he made the Finals, and the organizers suddenly decided to play FInal indoors (to favor Federer) and only letting Federer know in advance (and not Cilic), so Federer has time to adjust his equipment with Cilic’s being set for outdoors.
The Croatian Football team wins the silver because of a lucky streak of wins, yet zero mention of unlucky games (or referee screwovers) with Euro 2016 being a prime example.
Croatia is one of only six teams that made the World Cup semis (or better) twice in the past 20 years…but yea, they are just lucky because the good teams got beat by crap teams, and then Croatia beat the crap teams, so it was easy. lol.
There is a logical explanation for all the victories in other sport as well.
God I miss Tito. He really took care of me.
U21 conversation in and of itself speaks to the positive position we are in.
The fact that we have a team that can compete on a premier U21s level is unprecedented for modern Croatia.
Depending on the need for the senior team, a few will be called up and then even younger phenoms will step up for the u21’s.
U21 success was the real story yesterday.
@Iggy
Obviously you’re the resident meathead on this site.
When Cilic won the US title Federer was gassed from playing so much tennis at that point and came up against a fresh Cilic who regularly bowed out at the 3rd or 4th round at tournaments.
Do you even follow tennis?
If you do you might’ve remembered that Federer started playing less tournaments to freshen himself up, why didn’t Cilic smash Federer then?
Cilic made hay while the sun shone, there’s nothing wrong with that, but it was because Federer wasn’t playing his best tennis at that time and Nishikori beat Djokovic.
Huh? When Cilic won the US Open he schooled Federer in the semi final in straight, easy sets, a match Federer refers to himself as when Marin “smashed him”. And now you come on and say Nishikori somehow won it for him?
God you’re a cunt.
@Maminjo
Do you watch football?
How many times have you seen fouls payed that really shouldn’t have been? But the foul that was called on Griezmann didn’t have to result in a Mandzukic header for a goal, that’s on Mandzukic.
Put the blame where it belongs.
Shouldn’t Perisic have known that the ref was just looking for any reason to call a penalty, that’s what you expected of Lovren in Brazil lol?
Put the blame where it belongs.
France are WC champions motivated for UNL.
Croatia runners-up not motivated for the UNL lol.
Motivated Denamark is in League B topping their group.
Motivated Russia is in League B topping their group.
Motivated France in League A topping their group.
Motivated England is above us in our group.
Croatia is League B standard in my opinion, the sooner we get where we belong the better.
@Maminjo
Do you reckon that Croatia is the only unmotivated team in the whole UNL lol?
Doesn’t mean that at all @Iggy ya muppet, all it means is that Croatia made hay while the sun shone, nothing wrong with that.
Our problem is when the sun doesn’t shine, like getting Spain and England in our UNL group.
Like Cilic when Nishikori won him the US open by beating Djokovic, he made hay when the sun shone, since then he’s had Federer twice and what happened? Like I said the sun doesn’t shine all the time.
^
Rest lol, so they need rest after the England game, what do you think about that Maminjo?
At the cunt who said are the worst runners up; like, obviously you’re a cunting cunt and that’s just BS – but let’s play along.
Okay, let’s say, you’re right, we’re really a poor team, worst runner up ever. That just means our momentous silver medal run is even MORE mythical and outlandish and incredible than would be the case if “we’re just that good”.
Great! Thanks for that, now im EVEN happier and prouder of our WC!
Thanks, cunt !
Modric, Rakitic, and Perisic confirmed to be out vs Jordan. Dalic is letting them rest.
Pretty excited for the game. No pressure and some B team dudes. Hopefully a few goals
@anon
I get what you’re saying. The team has been playing poorly these past two games. Could be a nice big combo of Injuries, Retired players, and motivation. Hopefully Dalic uses brekalo, vlasic, and sosa to bring some life into the squad. After all, he did say the UNL will be used for experimentation.
I think Brekalo deserves to be put over Pjaca atm. I don’t think Vlasic deserves it yet over kova but i would prefer to see Vlasic over kova
“Brazil getting hammered 3-0 in France ’98 were worse.”
I didn’t mean the result in the final, I meant the Croatia squad in Russia is the worst runner-up in WC history.
I did watch this game against England and Croatia gave 100% in my opinion, they’re just not good enough.
Look at the quality teams, France, Belgium, Portugal and Spain, and look at Croatia the runners-up at the WC, lol.
@Anonymous
You’re a fool.
Do you watch the games?
Or do you just look at the scores and make assumptions?
If you watched the past two games, you would see a complete lack of motivation from our star players. If this was a tournament, they would not have floated around like they were doing today. Even the English were being stupid today.
Also…Croatia is definitely NOT the worst runner up in World Cup history.
First off, there have only been 13 teams that ever made a World Cup final.
Secondly, seeing that we outplayed France who lucked out on a free kick dive, a penalty, and two Subasic non-saves (after Cro had to open up thanks to the refereeing)…they were one of the better runner ups in World Cup history.
Netherlands getting slapped around in 2010 against Spain all game, were much worse.
Brazil getting hammered 3-0 in France ’98 were worse.
Germany standing zero chance in 2002 against Brazil (after getting the easiest path to a final in World Cup history). You could easily argue that team being the worst ever finalist.
And this is just recent history.
I’m not even taking into account teams from long ago (like Sweden) who were slapped around in the World Cup finals by multiple goals at their home turf.
But I only like to comment on games that I actually watch.
Yes, Brekalo does deserve to play over Pjaca.
Pjaca is still recovering and is not fully fit. He’s been okay at Fiorentina, but Brekalo has been awesome at Wolfsburg and for our junior squad.
Vlasic is also red hot, but he’s a different player than Kovacic. If we need some offense, then slotting him behind the strikers and dropping Modric and Rakitic behind him is what I do. Kovacic is pretty sterile offensively, and Vlasic would be a great sub-in for one of the central midfielders if things get kinda stale. Today would have been a perfect game to sub in Vlasic for Kovacic, as none of our central midfielders were really doing anything offensively. I would put Vlasic in our top-5 already for the central midfield with Modric, Rakitic, Brozovic and Kovacic.
Sosa will easily walk in and become an instant starter for us.
He is already better than Pivaric on both ends of the field and is a more complete player than Barisic (despite being much younger than these guys). He’s already starting in the Bundesliga, while these other two are stuck in Ukraine and Scotland. Sosa will get called up for our UNL games in November…but maybe not as a starter right away (since Dalic likes to maintain a positive locker room atmosphere). I definitely see Sosa starting once the Euro qualifiers begin.
But, then again…since our LB problems are well documented, if there is any U21 player that gets an immediate start for these next games in November, it would be Sosa.
Caleta-Car was part of the World Cup squad, so him being called up is not a surprise once the final U21 game is played on Monday. Benkovic is having a good season on loan at Celtic, and will be called up also.
We would be fools not to call up at least these five players from our U21 squad against Spain and England in November.
“Croatia is notorious for not caring about games that aren’t on the big stage.”
Lol, they don’t care when only Croats are watching!
Why didn’t Dalic start these players if he doesn’t care,
Livakovic
Bartolec Mitrovic Jedvaj A. Milic
Badelj Rog
Pjaca Pasalic Bradaric
Livaja
or does Dalic care but Modric, Rakitic, Perisic, Lovren, Vida and Kovacic don’t care when they put on the checkers?
Why not rest players then like we did against Iceland at the WC, Lol a game where we cared and still rested players, but in the UNL where we don’t care we’re playing our senior guys?
Lol, so Belgium, France, Portugal and Spain care, that’s why they’re topping their groups?
Lol at Rakitic he’s played 8 games this season for Barca, the same as Busquets, and they’ve both played the 2 UNL games, but Rakitic doesn’t care and Busquets does.
The point is, you fanboys can make all the excuses you want, “don’t care,” “not motivated,” but the fact is, France (WC champs), Portugal (Euro champs), Belgium (3rd at the WC) are topping their groups, but Croatia the runners-up at the WC are bottom of their group.
Serious question guys, is Croatia the worst runner-up in WC history? I think we are.
If the U21s do beat San Marino and automatically qualify for Euro 2019. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them get called up to the senior squad for the remaining Nations League and possibly even Euro 2020 qualifying matches.
Question is does Brekalo really deserve to play over Pjaca. Or does Vlasic deserve to play over Kovacic. I think Sosa has the best chance to play along with Benkovic or Caleta-Car. But it can’t hurt to have them train with the senior team over guys like Cop, Santini, or Milic.
Croatia is notorious for not caring about games that aren’t on the big stage.
We always slack in qualifying against mediocre teams, and nobody is watching the UNL (other than hardcore fans). The casuals don’t even know if its existence, nor is it even being broadcast on any major sports networks.
In a way, Suker and the rest of the HNS cronies are correct in focusing on the Olympics and the Euros. Really, the World Cup, Olympics and the Euros are all that really matter.
UNL recap.
France (WC champs), Portugal (Euro champs), Belgium (3rd at WC) and of course Spain topping our group, these are the really good teams.
Germany have a game in hand against Netherlands so they could yet challenge France.
Where are Croatia the runners-up at the WC Lol?
Croatia making hay while the sun shines at the WC was good, the opportunity coming about when we beat an Argentina side that was in disarray.
Beat Denmark on PK’s, beat Russia on PK’s, beat a young England team in extra time, that’s making hay while the sun shines.
Look at Croatia now Lol.
That’s why I was hoping for Iceland and Poland in our group, we would had a chance in that group.
Anyway, looking forward to League B that’s where we belong, and I would suggest we’d be a great chance of winning League B! Bring it on!
according to the effectiveness

This tournament is an excircise in futility. No purpose to it. Let’s get up and get on with it with Europe qualifying. This is a sham.
here some consideration in the following ->
1) Pivaric… for entirely 90 minutes with him, He is vulnerable!
Strinic + Pivaric = 90 minutes (just fine)
2) Kovacic – Modric – Halilovic / Kovacic – Rakitic – Halilovic
will be the most efficient combine in the middle!
(running & dribbling – passing – running & dribbling)
3) Lack of Good Finishing
-1- Perisic
-2- Kramaric
………?………
Pjaca… depend on him to score a goal is a far-fetched
Brekalo… could be a good one with Perisic on the other side!
..Brekalo……..…..Kramaric……………Perisic..
…………Kovacic…Modric…A Rebic……..…..
…Vrsaljko…….Vida….Lovren…….T Jedvaj…
…………………Lovre Kalinic…………………..
Great post Soul Champ.
Agree with all of that.
Why would you take off Perišić ?
Is Spalletti solid in effect?
I can now see clearly why Kramaric is both effective and limited with this last match.
His movement is intelligent and his ball skills are clever.
He simply lacks the athleticism to be an elite striker.
He is slight and is not explosively fast.
Those weak shots were down to a physical and fast England D.
Unfortunately for Kramaric to be relevant he has to bang in a goal today.
Vida was more dynamic than Kovačić ?
It’s like Kovačić is deferring to some inner attached spirit.
Dude should be breaking the lines every opportunity he gets.
Pedestrian flick here and there ??
Rakitic has no interest and Barca run his ass into the ground.
Modrić is being wasted once again.
Jedvaj had a pulse but he is no Vrsaljko.
Barišić was missed .. if you can believe that .. but actually true.
England is trash. I hope Spain puts them to the sword on principal alone.
Vlašić needs a call up after San Marino duty.
We created a handful of real chances.
Rashford .. man .. these English dudes freeze all the time.
No wonder Mourinho needs Perisic.
So glad “Tap in” Mandžukić retired as his goals are easy to replace .. oh wait .. one goal in 270+ minutes.
Sve znaju ..
And one more thing, Kovacic still sucks!
We looked like shit and Modric and Rakitic like many times before had no influence on the game.
Thankfully it won’t be so hard to qualify for the Euros cuz we are so fucking inconsistent.
Yeah what was up with Krama’s tentative, scared attempts? He looks like he feels the pressure of being the #9 now
^correct sir!
That answers the question of whether or not fans are important
Kram cannot finish he missed 3 chances.
Yeah i didnt care for it. I think for us it’s hard to care cos let’s be honest we just played in a WC final in a dream run. Pretty hard to get excited about some shit-kicking quasi-friendly games after that if im honest. Give me Euro2020 tho for sure!
Also thanks for all the BJ advice but i decided to go with Betadine sore throat antibacterial gargle. I will let u all know how it goes! 🙂
Who would have thought that a Croatia-England match would produce about 10 comments on this site, mostly about gay sex.
Something has gone really wrong – this League of Nations is a bust.
Look out Iggy!
This Runaldo guy is looking to sodomise you!
Croatian guns SILENT for the 2ND game in a row. They’ve yet to score in the UNL.
If there were fans present, I do think Croatia woulda ridden the support and upped their game and won.
And like the 2 muppets @The truth and @anonymous said Croatia wasn’t even motivated for this match, and @The truth went so far as to say England was more talented, lol and England still couldn’t win.
England can get fucked.
I spose, after a 6-0 loss, 0-0 against england in an empty stadium isnt too bad as far as results go.
The good news of the day is the u21 victory and Coric also winning.
Coric will also defeat Federer tonight which will be nice 🙂
I 100% guarantee – i give an Iggy guarantee that Coric gonna smash Fed tonight!
We’re lucky Sancho didn’t start.
Sancho was man of the match.
Finishes in a 0-0 draw, truly uninspiring. We were lucky tbh.
Nice game from Jedvaj
Oh wow.. Livaja is on guys.. ITS GO TIME. now england are REALLY FUCKED
LOL
England totally dominaing us now and we’re just barely hanging on
looks like we’re gonna lose 🙁
Are you talking frome xperience goku
I thought you were gay iggy? dont let my hopes up
I heard gargling some jizz after a blowjob does wonders for sore throats
My favorite part was when Lovren took out Sterling 😀
Hmm might give it a go cheers
lel
Krama prolly should’ve scored there
i reckon if we had fans we’d be winning by now
Iggy I had a sore throat too…my boyfriend fixed it with his hot dog in my throat
wow Vida did an awesome run lel
Sweet we’re not losign yet
man i’ve had a killer sore throat for days now, anyone know of any treatment that actually works for it? Even Codeine isn’t helping with the pain!
Our U21s are in the Euros.
Makes that 6-0 loss to Spain almost worth it lol
Haha was about to post that ^^
good stream
steam
http://buffstreamz.com/watch/soccer-stream.php
Any links to the game?
Geez these under 21’s interest me more than the national team. Almost. Lol. Fun to watch the future though. ZDS.
In stoppage time Brekalo makes it 2-0 HRVATSKA!!!
2-0 Brekalo
Greece down to 10 men now! still 1-0
Sosa with a nice pass to Vlašić, who turns in the box and puts it on net (with the Greek defender deflecting it in).
Halilović also with a nice long range shot that was curling in, but the Greek keeper was excellent to save that.
There are like 8 or 9 players on our U21 team that should be called up ahead of guys like Livaja, Čop, Santini, Pivarić, etc.
Hopefully they win this game and we can start calling them up as soon as next month for our Spain and England games.
in first half stoppage time Kapetan Alen Halilović nearly made it 2-0 on a beautiful curling free kick from around 27 yards out but the goalie was able to cover the top right corner and push the shot away
Happened in the 40′ after a deflection on his left footed shot. He received the ball just inside the 18 yard box and made a quick turn and shot in one fluid motion!
Vlašić makes it 1-0 HRVASTKA
Nepoznat….thanks brother!
working stream for u21 qualifier vs Greece:

Jedvaj looks demonic in that photo! love it.
No shit. According to that stat, Kane is worth almost half of the entire Cro team.
I love the valuations in the image.
In what world is Ross Barkley worth 25 million Euro (the same amount as Luka Modric)?
Long live death!
