Croatia takes on a tricky Macedonian side on Friday from Skopje in World Cup 2014 qualifying. This will be the third match for the Vatreni, already defeating Macedonia by a narrow 1-0 margin in Zagreb and dueling out the Belgians to a 1-1 draw in Brussels back in September. Surely, Croatia should earn all three points in this match but Macedonia proved themselves less than a month ago. Croatia was unable to break the bunker and went into halftime with no goals to their name. Macedonia broke through on multiple occasions, but with no true striker on their squad, could not finish the chances they were given. Napoli’s Goran Pandev was let loose in front of the Croatian goal and rifled a shot off the crossbar. Fortunately for the Vatreni, it did not cross the line on its way down.
Last we saw the Croatian national side in Macedonia, it was a water-logged muddy pitch with Croatia knowing they already booked their ticket to Euro 2008 at halftime. Macedonia ultimately won the match 2-0 in a second half where Croatia protected themselves from injury.
Jelavić saves Croatia from embarrassment at Maksimir
But come this time around, aside from the three points all Croatians think they should grab in Skopje, all eyes will be on Brazilian-born Dinamo Zagreb player Jorge Sammir Cruz Campos. Manager Igor Štimac and the HNS have called up Sammir for this round of qualifiers, but will he see the pitch wearing the Croatian checkers? Many Croatians around the world are upset about the call up, saying that it is merely a ploy from Dinamo Zagreb director Zdravko Mamić to cap his player in order to sell Sammir at a higher price tag.
What’s the final verdict on Sammir? Will he play against Macedonia? And if not, will he see the pitch against Wales on Tuesday in Croatia?
I was lucky enough to watch the second half of the match and got to see Sammir play for the first time.
Honestly, I thought he played well and he looked confident on the ball. Certainly didn’t look out of place.
Forgive my ignorance (and no I am not a 1990 cro) but why is he so despised in comparison to Eduardo?
@Elvis Sammir is fluent in croatian, something that the most part of the poeple here can not do.
I just the number 15 printed on my new cro jersey!!!!!
Looks awesome with Sammir printed just above it!!!
I will now be known as…..drum roll please…………………………
THE JOCK! DO YOU SMELL WHAT THE JOCK IS SNIFFIN?
Ziva Istina says:
This is the best thing that can happen to Hajduk and to many of the other clubs in Cro
Agreed. Put them in private hands (they can now be picked up for a song) and let real business people run it.
The end of the kurvin pir in Split.
This is the best thing that can happen to Hajduk and to many of the other clubs in Cro.

Nemam putovnicu, ali imam putnicu. Jos iz ’41-e.
“demovnica” – LOL
Think of all the Balkan Babes that they can have. Corluka would have a field day.
@Anonymous
Sign Language. It worked for coco.
Actually, the players would love traveling to Sarajevo, Ljubljana, Beograd, and visa versa. Don’t kid yourself on that. The problem would be for the fans to travel and the fan trouble that would be a result of this league. I still don’t think it will happen.
Either way, Hajduk wont be around to play in it anyway.
How the fuck are our cro boys gonna be able to communicate with Sammir..?!? none of them are fluent in Swahili.
that league is gonna be f**kkkkkkkkkkked. I’m sure all the players of the hnl will just LOVE traveling to Belgrade and Sarajevo on a regular basis, visa versa.
that league wld be sickkkk…

@ IvicA
I agree with you, the foreign clubs might swoop in and gobble up our young talent. And our domestic clubs would be foolish for off-loading talent at a young age.
The clubs are better off holding on to our unpolished diamonds, developing them themselves and then selling them at a larger profit in the future (ie Mandzukic 8m, Lovren 9m). Instead of being tempted by short term gains and selling their assets–players in this case–early.
And yes, our youth players get better development in our system.
Couple things-
@haet should have a voice on the site. Especially with Sammir joining the nat team. If ever there was a time the time is now.
Anyone who doesn’t appreciate Croatia being pure Croatian is lying to themselves.
And if iI’m ever in battle I want Nije bitno and Haet on my flanks.
It would be interesting to get a little more info on Haet- are you a Croatian sports fan…at all?
@Matija
It is supposed to kiša lightly tomorrow.
As much as I would like to see the Jelavic/Mandzukic combo up front, I like the 5 in the mid field area for the game tomorrow in order to stagnate and control play.
@IvicA
Interesting… I am going to try and find out more information.
What lineup do you want for tomorrow?
Start with Mandzukic then run him out and sub with jelavic around the 70 min, Pack the midfield, dont let the macos have time on the ball , and if its wet shoot from long range..What are the odds of us losing there two times in a row ???
At the end of the day I don’t care what colour he is or where he comes from. If he’s a Croatian citizen he has every right to play, period! However that being said Sammir is not good enough to be on our team let alone our bench. We are a top 10 soccer powerhouse not a house league team.
@anonymous
Funny you bring that up. I actually asked about it a couple years back. You need to be a resident. A friend of mine has one, despite him not living there since he was 10, lol.
@ARMADA87
Not sure how the EU will impact us in terms of our football program.
Yes, Italians have been scouting Slovenia more, but that is in large part due to the fact that Slovenians can be bought for CHEAP. The price of your average Croatia player has gone up a lot, and Serie A clubs cannot compete with EPL sides who have all been inflating every young Croat’s value.
I do think more Croats will be going at an earlier age, but I’m not sure if that is a good thing.
If a player goes very early for a significantly smaller transfer, then the buying team doesn’t have to feel pressured to play them through their struggles. However, If this team had spent a considerable sum of money on this player, then the team will allow the player to play through his mistakes and develop (at the expense of the team’s win loss record).
A perfect example is how Mandzukic was purchased for 8M Euro, and couldn’t score at all when he first moved to the Bundesliga (he managed 1 goal in 16 games). Wolfsburg insisted on playing him despite the horrible streak. They couldn’t afford to simply throw away 8M Euro. Lucky for them, Mario put it together. I highly doubt things would’ve gone the same if they spent only 400K on him.
Same thing happened to Lovren too. Lyon dropped 9M on him, and he was Mr. Red Card for pretty much every game when he first moved to Ligue1. Lyon kept playing him, developing him, and now his value has increased.
I find that a lot of the younger U21 and U19 players who decided to leave for other youth teams at an earlier age, rarely receive the proper development and exposure to become future stars. Yes, it’s crooked how Dinamo has a monopoly on Croatia’s entire youth talent, but the formula works.
@IvicA
What about OIB?
i like srna in defense, but i guess we need more firepower in the mid
@Chopper
I don’t know what a demovnice is. But I have a domovnica and a putovnica. Are those good enough?
😉
Demovnice? What the shit is that? Are you trying to say domovnica?!
Joe
I agree with the Sammir comment.
I hope someone is dumb enough to buy him in the winter transfer window.
That will be the last we hear of him on the repka.
http://www.radiostanica.com/
Great website for many radio stations from the Ex-Yugo countries.
i say we go with two strikers. mandzukic and jelavic are in such good form that i can’t see how they don’t start.
thanks to all for the websites to check out the game….hope to cut away from work and watch as much as i can
let’s keep the talk about the game…….he’s on the team for this round of qualifiers and i bet he gets some time so be prepared. let’s just hope that our boys win handily, sammir only plays in garbage time to get his first “cap” and will then be sold in the january transfer window, never to be heard from again on the repka. i won’t dive into the ethnic, political debate here….i will simply observe that my problem with him on the team is that he is NOT GOOD ENOUGH, plain and simple
i will be watching and supporting…..i know you all will too. these boards will be damn interesting tomorrow….looking forward to it!
Nije Bitno,
I’m not an expert and never wil be, but here’s my opinion.
I don’t mind seeing Cro play with one striker at this time.
I don’t like to see Jelavic on the bench. I think he’s very good.
However, I think Cro should be playing with two DM. Since Kovac retired, Cro has been very vulnerable in that area.
Remember the last qaulifiers. We always played with two strikers. Most of the game they would stand up front, barely touching the ball. For whatever reason, they were not getting any service from our mids.
It may be better to secure our back end with two DM and attack with three mids and one striker.
Remember the game against Italy in the Euro’s. The first half, we could have been down two to three goals. In the second half we played with two DM and One Striker.
However, with weaker teams that don’t pose much of a gaolscoring threat, one DM and two Strikers may be better.
Croatia vs Antwerp
I’m happy with saan.tv. the streaming is good.
However, you need to use a Croatian asdress.
You may need to contact family back home if you don’t have and address.
Tomorrow’s Macedonia-Croatia game can be watched on ESPN3 (free) along with more than 20 other qualifiers through your computer or through Xbox live (have to download the free ESPN3 software)
I watch it through SaanTV – about $5 per month. You get 8 Croatian TV stations live 24/7 including HRT2, where most are televised.
Mandzukic-Jelavic can’t set each other up. Once the ball is played through to one of them, it’s usually all or nothing.
We need a striker who can score from beyond 5 yards. Kranjcar and Perisic are the only players with that ability…and they are midfielders.
In more upbeat news:
Marcelo Brozovic and Renato Kelic are getting a lot of interest from Serie A (Genoa and Roma, respectively) and on another board, a poster made a interesting point.
Once we’re admitted to the EU, the flood gates are gonna open and Italian teams will probably swoop in and snag a lot of our youngsters. Just like what happened with Slovenia once they went into the EU. Bad for our soocer, but probably better for our youngsters.
@ Ziva Istina
Do you use Saan.TV to watch the Croatia games? Where do you watch them online?
@Nije Bitno
I don’t see a feature on CroatianTV america, to subscribe to watch programming online.
Do you know where I can watch this game on line? Or anyone else perhaps knows?
Guys, this is a sports site and the topic is the crucial fixture against Macedonia. Leave the political shit at home! And technically, if you do not have a demovnice (if you don;t know what this is then forget it!) and/or a cro passort then you can’t talk shit about being a cro.
My two cents is Sammir has been in the Prva liga for way too long and it’s obvious he’s not good enough otherwise he’d be playing abroad by now. Stimac clutching at straws I say.
Maybe I was thinking about Balkaniyum. If so, apologies.
It’s tough these days to keep up with who is cetnik, who is a serb, who is a hrvat, who is a brazilian-born wanna-be hrvat and who is a self-hating hrvat.
Anonymous – nista i drugi puta
Ziva are you sure SAAN is a Serb run program? It is my understanding the company is Croatian and based out of Zagreb. I know Balkaniyum is Serb based for sure.
Please advise.
@nije bitno
Puno hvala!
on top of that you get all radio stations too
heres a website to get croatian tv in your homes.
http://www.croatiantv-america.com
you get HRT 1, HRT 2, HRT plus, RTL, nova i even think the zagreb channels.
for those of you asking, yes SAAN.tv is good quality. However, its a serb-run company. So, you will be giving your money to serbs.
But, the quality is good. In fact, the quality is so good that you will be able to clearly judge on a 19-inch computer monitor if our guys are playing with heart and pride.
IDEMO DO VARDAR IS PLESATI SAMBU UMJESTO KOLO HAHAH!
Is Saantv good i was also wondering
Obama 2012.
Miki, kind like the US of A?!?!? LOL
Franjo Sjebo the 2 generals who are rotting in haag. He did always say we will have 200 rich families and all the others will be slaves in croatia
Hej guys does anyone watch on saantv is it good and does it slow the computer once you load microsolf silverligh thanks,
One day Ljepa Nasa all the commie corrupt scum will be behind bars. Sammir will not make me stop watching but i will no longer be a diehard fan.
stimac going with only one attacker…. perhaps wants more midfield spots to possibly slide sammir into?
The moment Sammir suits up and actually plays is the moment I stop watching that team. It’s not because of his race, it’s because of what and whom he represents-an extension of Zdravko Mamic. It will be my own private decision and protest.
Ok guys I gotta go the Polish girls have shown up.
Franjo Josip? All good! 🙂
She’s a Serb that masquerades as a Croatian citizen in order to more easily tear Croat fabric.
No-one mentions this but what are your opnions on Franjo? Did he work for Croatia’s best interests?
She might as well be. Her profile is below.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/profile/slavenkadrakuli?INTCMP=SRCH
Haet, te si popizdi
Drakulic? She’s Serbian.
I doubt she’s a Croat. Politically, definitely not.
I believe she is a muslim from Bosna.
What about the other one Slavanka?
@ Doktor
The first question I have to ask is she really croatian?
Then what’s her Yugo connections?
Mook. LOL
This all started with that Mook Mario on Italy and it got worse with Sammir. Before then noone brought their poltics here. Sad that Sammir has divided us so.
HAET, click on the link below:
http://be.linkedin.com/pub/ines-sabalic/33/789/564
That c*nt, some years back, made her self (in)famous by writing in an article for the Globus weekly that Croatia is “too white.” She is one of the many that, in the name of EU diversity and multiculturalism, would like to see a team full of Dammirs. She is an advocate of white depopulation.
@ Doktor Prle – Dobro si reka
I understand this is a sports site so this is the last point I (me) will make on this board.
Did a group of Croatians one day get together and come up with the bright idea to import Chinese people and make them “Croatians”? Did the Croatian people get to vote on this?
OR
Did somebody (I’m guessing the European “Union”) pressure Croatia to take in non-Europeans???
Now ask yourselves: is there ONE non-white country where the native population is being pressured to accept people of a different race and “assimilate” with them??? Isn’t it true that this is only being done to white countries – Croatia being ONE of these white countries?
And you guys want to talk about “Dinaric sub-race”???
(And please note that Croatians aren’t “native” to Croatia, we got there around 600 A.D., but of course we consider ourselves native), so don’t give me bullshit about the American Indians you learned from your second grade teacher. Capiche?
Zacepi usi. 😀
@ Doktore – Ma popija bi bocu od muke slusajuci njega
Has Corluka healed enough to be affective. I have a small worry with Lovern back there with him if Corluka isn’t fit.
@ nije bitno . i would like to see the two stirker line up, but i think you’re right. the buzz going seems to be for just mandzukic up top
@ anonymous
“The problem is that pairing up front hasn’t shown consistently they can actually play together and be effective.
”
I’m not sure we’ve had enough time to really see. So far, I think the results could be promising. In the Euros Mandzukic had three goals and Jelavic 1 playing together (pretty solid, I’d say). And so far in this qualifying campaign jelavic has one goal (macedonia), and mandzukic has practically two assists (1 real with the header to jelavic vs macedonia and the other not really, but he did put the cross in that trickled on over to perisic). So so far, I think it hasn’t been too bad. they seem like our two most talented strikers and seem like a real load for defenses to handle both, so i still it worthwhile to pair them and hope they can grow together. i dont know for sure, but anyone have an idea of the formation they play in everton and bayern?
game is on ESPN3:
http://espn.go.com/watchespn/index#type/upcoming/startDate/20121012/sport/soccer-futbol/
@ HAET – Who are we playing tomorrow? what tactical approach do you think we should come with tomorrow? what players would you play? whats your favorite club team in cro? what part of cro are you from?
Elvis, I didn’t say anything about their females. 🙂
Nije Bitno, ajmo popit rakiju!
@Doktor
I can introduce you to some major Polish ass.
The Japanese aren’t a sub-race. The Japanese are Deutsch. The Germans of Asia. 🙂 🙂
Damn its the day before game day and this is the only shit you all have got to write about?
Actually, HAET is very intelligent. The problem might be in his approach.
Here’s a wiki post on HAET….
You’re a fucking WHACKJOB, shut the fuck up!
I don’t get a warm feeling about neither Poles nor Deutschbags. 🙂
@Doktor.
Yes but that’s because we are Dinaric and in his world he saw that as better than say Polish or Russian Slav. There’s nothing wrong with Slavs. My point is that it is hard to dream of European Unity when Eastern Europeans would have been exterminated. I have Polish friends and I feel much much closer to them than a German. Plus they have better looking babes. I just want HAET to Focus more on Croatia.
@Elvis, meanwhile, back on planet earth, Croatia was a staunch ally of Nazi-Germany. Besides, stop living in the 1930’s, Germany and Russia are staunch allies now. The days of whites killing whites in global wars has ended and will never start again, and this is because the facts on the ground are forcing ALL whites to fight for white survival. That is all. This is a sports site. Why don’t you copy and paste what “wiki” has to say about the Ustase?
There are quite a few sub-races of the white race. I don’t know why you’re laughing. You should read up on it. It is, afterall, a very big part of your territory.
Croats, for the most part, are not Slav(e)s. Although the Croatian langauge is part of the “Slavic” family of languages.
Hitler, for whatever it’s worth (to me it doesn’t mean a damn thing), did not view Croats as untermenschen. That much is known.
@ jm – I’d go with that too but I think we will be out there with one forward and that being Mandzo.
This is what they are saying today for our lineup tomorrow.
Očekivani sastav Hrvatske:
Pletikosa – Vida, Ćorluka, Šimunić, Strinić – Vukojević, Modrić, Srna, Perišić, Rakitić – Mandžukić
http://www.index.hr/sport/clanak/hrvatska-odradila-trening-na-filipu-ii-stimac-uvjeren-u-trijumf/641316.aspx
@Tibor, so you are saying that Croatia and Eastern Europeans can’t over-run a white Western Europe, but will easily over-run a non-white Western Europe? So YOU are saying we are inferior to Western Europeans and SUPERIOR to non-whites?
All I’m saying is that ALL white countries have a right to stay white just like non-white countries have a right to stay what they are. And I don’t want Croatia to become German, I want Croatia to stay REAL Croatian – although by the responses of many of you here, I’m starting to waver on that now. “Dinaric sub-race” – LOL! seriously?
From Wiki”
Anti-Slavic racism was an essential component of Nazism.[8] Adolf Hitler and his Nazi movement regarded Slavic nations and their peoples as Untermenschen (sub-humans), one of a number of “inferior races” that were, unlike the “Aryan master race”, incapable of creating culture or civilization.[8] They were in fact seen as a threat to European society (which they were not considered part of), and were characterized as eastern barbarians who would eventually overrun the Western nations in order to destroy them. In order to counter this perceived threat, and because according to the Nazis the German people was in need for more territory to sustain its surplus population, an ideology of conquest and depopulation was formulated for Eastern Europe according to the principle of Lebensraum, itself based on an older theme in German nationalism which maintained that Germany had a “natural yearning” to expand its borders eastward (Drang Nach Osten).[8] This drive was focused especially towards the Soviet Union, as it alone was deemed capable of providing enough territory to accomplish this goal,[9] although they reached a much more advanced state in occupied Poland due to its immediate proximity to Germany. According to the resulting genocidal Generalplan Ost, millions of German and other “Germanic” settlers would be moved into the conquered territories, while the original Slavic inhabitants were to be annihilated, removed, or enslaved.[8]
The problem is that pairing up front hasn’t shown consistently they can actually play together and be effective.
Yes they are both in form in top European leagues, but they don’t seem to mesh. Someone said it best previously when they suggested Jelavic is the classic English style single front man who needs to be fed balls to latch onto…..Mandzo has shown real skill in the air, but generally likes to get the ball deeper, isn’t a great dribbler…..I don’t know, not sure these two can play together frankly.
back to the soccer i suppose. i like having talent on the field so gotta go wit hthis line up
pletikosa
srna corluka schidenfeld strinic
vukojekiv
rakitic modric perisic
mandzukic jelavic
gotta have mandzukic and jelavic in there. second most effect goal scoring tandem in europe. without much threat (hopefully) out of the macedonian offense, we need to do our best to put guys out there who can beat the bunker
You’re a bunch of idiots on parade, I’m sorry. How many times do I have to tell you the anti-whites have defined you as white? You’re not eligible for “affirmative action” and other special rights and privileges, you are defined as white by Federal Civil Rights Laws. You are from Croatia, one of the countries anti-whites insist have an obligation to import third worlders and “assimilate” with them – they don’t demand this of ANY non-white country.
Nobody ever says things like Japanese are a sub-race of Asians or whatever, only self-hating anti-white whites find every excuse and justification known to man to justify white genocide. If you can’t understand that 2 + 2 = 4, then you’re right, I’ll stop sounding like a “broken record” and try to convince you that 2 = 2 = 4.
I’m done here, go look at the English and French National teams from 40 years ago and look at them now; 40 years from now, Croatia will look like them. Good luck.
Hey this might be a long shot, have any of you fully downloaded WC 1998 3rd Place Game? I am at 97.1% on the torrent and stuck there for MONTHS. Need someone with it to get back on the torrent and seed it. I need this game in my collection!
Nice post, Tibor.
@Haet
Why are you so stupid? As stated I am a Croatian Nationalist. If you think we look like Germans you have a problem. We are a seperate race within Europe. You push this White Unity agenda but you fail to define white. You think we can all come together and sing Skrewdriver songs. Western Europe is Finished. It is our duty to over run it and conquer it when it does. Sounds crazy right?
Most of us are members of the Dinaric sub-race of the White race. When I say sub, I don’t mean inferior.
Always back to the same old garbage…….
Elvis, I’m sorry but you’re a retard, you make no sense. And calling you a retard has everything to do with what you have posted here. Everybody sees your nonsensical posts.
@ everyone – check this goal out out!
http://www.24sata.hr/nogomet/dubrovnik-ima-svog-genijalca-zabio-gol-kakav-se-rijetko-via-284981
@Haet
You have to understand that we are a different race from those Europeans that you want to protect.
@Kardinal Stepinac, ever here of birth control? Who wants the expense of children? what woman doesn’t want a career? who wants to increase the “carbon footprint”? white people are “racists”, why would we want more of them? etcetera.
There was a front cover story with a white baby on the cover in either Time magazine or maybe Newsweek with the title “Are White People born Racists?” The title did not say ‘Are Anglo Saxons Born Racists’ or ‘Are Scots-Irish Born Racists’ etcetera. They are talking about me and YOU too.
@HAET
It has alot to do with the fact that the idelogy that you follow claims that you are inferior. It’s the perfect crime. Let the person who you are trying to get rid of get rid of himself.
First, I’m not the only one talking about this; I’m one of many on this site. The difference is I talk it in a way you are not used to and haven’t been TRAINED to deal with, hence the barking at me.
@Elvis, you changed the subject, your response has nothing to do with what I said. What does Central European Medieval history have to do with “white guilt” and the terrible damage caused by it in the here and now? Are you not guilty of perpetuating this “white guilt” to the detriment of yourself and your kind?
Which invasion?
@HAET
Where was Western Europe when the Turks invaded us? Who came to our aid? I know th Hungarians did and so did some Polish Knights. Who else England, Italy, Austria? None of them did. Infact Austria prevented us from retaking Bosnia and driving the Turks out.
@Toni 2
not enough sex=negative rate
Anyone have a good krvavice recipe they can share?!?
Anyone know why most western countries have a negative or neutral growth rate?
@ Kardinal Stepinac – Yeah probably he will but its okay i expect that from him. I think we are starting to think his mom dropped him on his head in that basement when he was a little Ziva.
@ HAET – damn dude davis nas s tvojin pizdarijama!
@nije bitno
Those are the players I would go with. Mandzukic and Jelavic to start.
No name doesn’t matter. Ziva will still cause you grief. Stay home and do not go out in public.
One of two things is possible tomorrow – we win by the skin of our teeth or we win big.
I care not to discuss stalemates or tragedy (loss).
@ Kardinal Stepinac – Its a jersey but there isnt a name on the back of it. Yeah im with you, I’d play Mandzukic and Jelavic up top.
Elvis: “As I have said we did not enslave Africans nor did we give the natives the chicken pox. I have no guilt for being a Croatian.”
Here is a prime example of someone “educated” by Mommy Professor and a truly DEVOUT adherent to our established religion of Political Correctness. Elvis is saying people of Western European descent should have white-guilt for things that happened hundreds of years ago and therefore their children should be subjected to genocide via third world immigration and “assimilation”. Never mind that ALL other races have conquered and enslaved people, and that our race, the white race, was the first race to END the practice of slavery everywhere we had the power to do so. Elvis also can’t comprehend the fact that anti-whites don’t distinguish between Croatians and Anglo-Saxons, neither is eligible for “affirmative action” and other special rights and privileges – this is an undeniable FACT. But it doesn’t matter how many times I point these things out (“broken record”), because Elvis is two legged cattle who will go thru his entire life with mommy professor’s prod up his ass.
@Nije bitno
Is that a jersey I see. You know Ziva will not be happy with you.
I prefer two forwards.
@ Ziva – BTW there is no name on the back of that jersey hahahahaha
@Doktor Prie
Well done on your post. Thank you for calling it what is.
“Looks to me that the 1990 turn-coat “Croats” are making inroads at this site. The very same people that think Croatian identity is exclusively a matter of Milovan Djilas/Mose Pijade/Marsal Tito – AVNOJ Croatia defined borders.
F*cking losers”
Svaka ti cast.
Do you guys think we should play more defensive tomorrow vs makedonija, with one forward or play more offensive with two forwards up top? just curious on what peoples thoughts are on this? If so what forwards or forward?
Just letting people that post know there are 2 Toni’s that post here. Not sure who posted first but I’ll use the handle Toni 2 from now on.
This guy HAET with his reverse-propaganda is too funny.
Mitch said “It is unfortunate that it appears to some people that the colour of his skin has something to do with the disquiet about his inclusion in the squad rather than the “Mamic” factor.” We are already seen as racists around the globe.”
I agree! Croatia looks more diverse now doesn’t it? And since Croatia’s population is getting smaller and smaller because of low birth rates, Croatia has an obligation to import more people from undeveloped countries and give them opportunity. This solves the population problem and the racist problem in Croatia all at once! Anyone who disagrees with this is just an ignorant hater and a Nazi racist!
Sammir just isn’t good enough to play for our repka plain and simple. Everybody knows that this is the only way these idiots are going to make a buck on him.
Ziva, your first poll question is a loaded one. Croatia wasn’t on the map prior to that – which makes your question even more the better! Makes perfect sense.
I’d like to suggest a poll.
Those who are OK with Sammir on the repka, did you know where Croatia was on a map prior to 1990? Can you speak croatian?
I’m willing to bet the answer to both questions is a NO.
Halilovic…………no way he should be called up to the repka. Based on what?????? Hype???? The kid may be great down the road, but that is down the road. He has done nothing that deserves a call up. Lets see this kid on the field against decent competition before we decide he should be called up.
@anonymous…….you are correct, with Sammir playing people will still watch and check the scores and continue to post about the repka. I however will not cheer for the repka once he steps on the field. I don’t know if anyone has ever torn both ACL at the same time, but I wouldn’t mind seeing it on Friday.
We’ve already discussed how and why Halilovic could be Croatian. Ultimately, none of us knows what his personal sentiment is regarding national identity. And that card trumps all. Time will tell.
Looks to me that the 1990 turn-coat “Croats” are making inroads at this site. The very same people that think Croatian identity is exclusively a matter of Milovan Djilas/Mose Pijade/Marsal Tito – AVNOJ Croatia defined borders.
F*cking losers.
Dinamo zaslužan: Naši klubovi više neće igrati u 1. pretkolima

@horvat great line-up i think that is the perfect line-up to have for these two nxt games.. the ideal would be srna rb and ilicevic rm but he is injured
Halilovic should have got the call. Sure his dad is Muslim, but jebi ga, the kid is born and raised in zagreb, his dad even played for dinamo and the national team.
Hrvat, Halilovic’s father is a musliman, mother Croat…..according to this site How Croatian is Halilovic?!?!?
It would have been way better if we called up thee 16 year old alen halilovic. At least the kid is croatian
I see Toni, so now we’re into the “I’m a bigger Croat than you” I gues, eh? Not the first or last time I’ve heard people like you beat their chest to that little ditty.
I could honestly care less if Sammir is on the NT or not. Based on his history and playing ability, I suspect he will watch a few games from the bench and then drift off into irrelevence.
Based on all current FIFA regs he is qualified to play for this Repka, just like Eduardo before him and all the others who were born in countries other than Croatia. It is 2012.
It’s so easy to get guys like you all fucked up by posting a few comments re Sammir. I like all of the comments about not watching, ignoring the NT now, etc. I call BS! You will all watch and check the scores and continue to post on here. Just alot of talkers, nothing more.
Y did we call up that cigan this is ridiculous.
I am really not thrilled with Sammir on this team. I am not comfortable with foreign players representing me. He could have went to so many African countries to play. I pray he breaks his big toe. When we play Serbia I had better not see this ass play and if any of you defend him in my presence we are going to have fistacuffs.
I am psyched! My Macedonian friend won’t even respond to my unrelenting trash talking! He is resigned to defeat lol

Since you think everyone can become a Croat simply by saying so you have no right to talk shit about anything. Sammir is just another foreign cancer just like those in Krajina were. He is taking a Croatian spot on the team. You are the type of person who would have said 22 years ago what does a soccer riot in Zagreb have to do with Yugoslavia?
What the fuck does Vukovar have to do with Sammir?!?!?
Toni, you are quickly becoming the king of incoherent comments.

Maybe the back line of Vida Corluka Lovren Stinic is the best
I think the key is to have srna dangerous down the flank like he once was. If we attack with srna from the right and perisic from the left with modric through the middle and two big strikers I like the offense.

Na vješalima. Suha kao prut.
Na uzničkome zidu. Zidu srama.
Pod njome crna zločinačka jama,
Ubijstva mjesto, tamno kao blud.
Ja vidjeh negdje ladanjski taj skut,
Jer takvo lice ima moja mama,
A slične oči neka krasna dama:
Na lijepo mjesto zaveo me put!
I mjesto nje u kobnu rupu skočih
Do you guys know where I can watch this game on the internet?
I cannot even begin to explain the contempt I feel for Igor Stimac, Zdravko Mamic, Davor Suker… and the rest of the treasonous, money-grubbing gang that has all but destroyed what the Croatian national team stood for.

Show’s how much you know Toni……entering the EU does not preclude you from expelling those that have entered your borders illegally. If you don’t have a proper EU passport, you’re out!
Facts are your friend.
And here they come. Bad thing is that when we enter the EU we won’t be able to send the bastards back.

The picture looks like he switched jerseys with Modric after a match with Brazil- wish that was the case…
Mitchy boy,
As I have said we did not enslave Africans nor did we give the natives the chicken pox. I have no guilt for being a Croatian. We are a very small country and we need to support and look after ourselves first. Ask youself if Sammir was good enough for the Brazlian team would he not be there? Sammir used us. If he gets sold to another bigger team I bet you will never she him in Croatia again. He is shit.

@ Mitch
He is taking the spot of a Croat plain and simple. He also has rhat ghetto NBA look. Da Silva was tolerated because he was a nice guy but Sammir is Ghetto.
Balkan League…..sure, why not? I’m ll for our fans getting attacked on road trips and then attacking others for home games.
Any chance badelj can play the DM role and free up modric enough to bs himself?
The “super league” is pretty much the brainchild of Mamic right now. Talk about selling your club out and the rumor actually has some pretty good merit to it. It has support from the other leagues and looks to be true. Feels like they’re taking a few steps backwards with this one.
Stimac should come out of retirement and take the field!
Croatia is not playing on friday.
Talk of a Balkan Superleague in 2015??!

Somebody have seen this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdLvDlAhZeU
i am no longer a fan of the croatian national soccer team. i wont root against them but i honestly have no desire to watch this team. sramota.
Dukic what about that?
Croatia is not playing Friday.
Yeah that photo looks funny!
I have never seen him play, but what the hell, if he is good enough and truly wants to play for the right reasons, then I have no problem.
It is unfortunate that it appears to some people that the colour of his skin has something to do with the disquiet about his inclusion in the squad rather than the “Mamic” factor.
We are already seen as racists around the globe. While some truly are, I dare say that most are not.
I dont like to put Srna on Def midfield ( Libero ).
and put him as ideal formation on RM>

I’d be almost as upset to see Lovren actually play as I would to see Sammir play. He’s been giving Vida a few tackling tips in attempt to make himself look better. Prove me wrong Dejan! I’m waiting.
@Ernest
Not a bad lineup, but Schifo hasn’t been really in form lately and I don’t trust Lovren being paired with anyone other than the reliable Corluka as a CB pairing.
Don’t like Vukojevic, and would rather start Radosevic again.
Badelj has been hot, so I’d like to see him start. Moving Srna to RB, and starting Badelj in the midfield would be my pick.
The lineup below seems to have the best combination of in-form players, many who have been scoring lately.
– Pletikosa –
– Srna – Corluka – Lovren – Strinic –
– Radosevic –
– Badelj – Modric – Perisic
– Jelavic – Mandzukic –
