In the first game and just a little after ten minutes Modric made a rare mistake and attempted to kick a ball behind him without realizing a opportunistic English would put himself in the way and create a perfect penalty situation acting like a victim who was attacked by the karate kid. I think this messed with Modric’s mojo and took him off his game by feeling responsible for costing Croatia a goal so early and creating an uphill battle for everyone. I hope Luka recharges his battery and clears his head and comes out like this is his last World Cup and gives it everything he’s got… Let’s go out and beat Panama and Ghana and go from there.
Harping over this last game and acting like Luka is a bum isn’t going to help us. Let’s make the proper adjustments, advance to the next round and go game by game from there. Let’s goooo….

We will find our rhythm tomorrow. We didn’t get an easy team as per usual in our opening match. We made mistakes especially defensively. Move on and stay focused.
What we need to do tomorrow.
-Play aggressive but smart. Don’t let Panama walk over with their dirty tactics.
-Counter attack. Panama are a fast team too.
-Score first. I can’t emphasize this enough. I don’t think we’ve scored in half of our World Cup matches which is at 31.
-Don’t let off the gas at any point like we did in the second half.
-Better coverage on corners and set pieces. Panama is a small team unlike England. Should be easy for us.
Anything less than a 3-0 or plus win would be concerning. Ghana will park the bus against us Saturday. I can’t see Ghana getting a result against England.
