Rozalija Kučko reporting LIVE from the San Siro!
MISS CSR VISITS MILAN FOR SOME SHOPPING, PASTA AND CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL!
Naši dečki za njih su “spirt of the team”. Sve pohvale, Modrić, Čorluka i Kranjčar opravdali su u fantastičnoj igri i time doprinijeli pobjedi Tottenhma nad moćnim Milanom.

FLAMINI TWO-FOOTED TACKLE ON ĆORLUKA
Vedran Ćorluka received a long-awaited Champions League start in Tottenham’s backline Tuesday only to have his night end early by a dirty two-footed tackle from Mathieu Flamini in the 55′. The Frenchman came in ‘studs up’ as he shot himself towards Ćorluka like a torpedo. Luckily, Flamini only caught a piece of the leg, otherwise it would have been ‘Good night Ćari’. Only a yellow card was given even though it was an obvious red in today’s game. French ref bias?
“I went to the Totenham dressing rooms to see the physical condition of Corluka and to apologise,” Flamini told Sky Sports after the match.
Ćorluka writhed in pain, even biting down on his own forearm for comfort. Moments after the tackle, Milan’s Robinho tried to take Ćorluka off the pitch so the game could be continued. Ćorluka snapped at the Brazilian and responded with a ‘Ajde u pič..!’ from the ground. Ćarli was stretchered off the field but returned to the Tottenham bench 15 minutes later with boot on foot and crutches in hand. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but Ćorluka may be out for the season with ligament damage in his ankle.
Ćorluka will luckily only be out a month. Here’s what he had to say after the match:
“As we expected when my leg cooled down, everything about my ankle looked worse than just after the game,” Ćorluka told Sportske Novosti. “My ankle is swollen. It hurts so much, but the doctors are saying that things are not as bad as it seems. Luckily nothing is broken, but I will still be out for at least four weeks.
“I will know for sure how bad it is today [Thursday]. When I first saw my ankle, I was sure it would be at least two months, but luckily it is not so bad.”

GETTY/MODRIĆ(R) VS. ROBINHO
Luka Modrić made his return to the Tottenham lineup for the first time since his appendectomy on February 1st. He came off the bench in the 62′ for a fatigued Rafael van der Vaart. Modrić looked good in his return game and set up the play that lead to the game’s lone goal as he fed Aaron Lennon for a 50-yard dash down field to supply Crouch with the winner. Modrić is hailed by Tottenham fans to be their best player, and it showed in Spurs 1-0 win over Milan. The man has improved his portfolio 10-fold since last season in the Premiership.
REUTERS/KRANJČAR HUGGING CROUCH AFTER GOAL
Niko Kranjčar even got in on the Tottenham fun as he was subbed in for Steven Pienaar 77 minutes through. Seems like manager Harry Redknapp did not forget about his latest hero this week. With Bale expected to return from injury soon, will Kranjcar go back to the bench as an unwanted man after a spectacular three weeks?
GETTY/GATTUSO GOING WWF ON THE SPURS COACHING STAFF
AC Milan captain, Gennaro Gattuso completely lost it Tuesday night as he shoved Spurs’ assistant coach Joe Jordan by the neck and then gave him a slight headbutt at the end of the game. Gattuso should have been ejected for the first offense. The French referee for this game was horrible. Gattuso is not eligible to play in the return leg because of yellow cars accumulation.
“I lost my head and I’m taking responsibility because I did something I shouldn’t have done,” said the fiery midfielder, a former Rangers player. “Jordan was breaking my balls throughout the second half but that doesn’t justify my reaction. I was annoyed about the words I’d exchanged with Jordan. We were both speaking Scottish given that I played in his country in Glasgow but I’m not going to say what was said. I made a mistake doing what I did to an older person, and that’s it. I’ll wait and see what (UEFA) decides.”

WHO PUNKS ASSISTANT COACHES?
AP/SRNA(R) GETS INTO IT WITH TOTTI
After a Simone Perrotta 28th minute opening goal, Shakhtar bombed Roma with three goals in 12 minutes to return to Ukraine with a comfortable 3-2 win in Wednesday night’s first leg of their Champions League sweet 16 tie. Shakhtar captain Darijo Srna started and played the full 90 minutes, while Eduardo came on in the 66th minute. Roma fans’s booed their team at the Stadio Olimpico as they came out for the second half and also at the end of the match. Shakhtar are making their first appearance in Champions League sweet 16 and will surely be satisfied with today’s result.
@Allen19,
"Their are plenty of talented seniors, but your right the best players leave early. "
I would be a lot more interested if some of these Freshman-Juniors would stay in college longer.
Not enough talented seniors in college bball. Take a look at the past 10 nba drafts. How many first round picks were seniors?
There are still plenty of talented players, but you are right the best players leave after a year or two. I do hate it, but oh well. Still the team I root for St.John's the team has ten seniors and their best player Dwight Hardy may win big east player of the year. A senior winning the best player in the best conference in college basketball. Their are plenty of talented seniors, but your right the best players leave early. From Oden to Durant to Wall to Cousins… list goes on and on.
@Allen Steven,
"I am heated". ya think? 🙂
We are comparing apples and oranges here.
"NBA is rarely exciting". In the stands yes, on the court no. Sure NBA players are lazy and fail to show up at times. However, NBA action and college action can not be mentioned in the same sentence. Men against boys.
However, if you are comparing the NBA stands versus College stands, well its pretty much clear who the winner is.
You cant compare European fans to American fans. The only "torcida" in the states is found in College Bball.
The reason college bball doesnt interest me anymore, is because it gets raped of talent year after year. 90% of great college prospects leave after their second year in school. Not since Tim Duncan has a quality college player stayed 4 years in college. This means that college Bball to me is a bunch of Ivica Olic's running around the court. All heart and no talent.
First off great report from the lady, she was great and the fans were fun to hear. They didn't seem that crazy about Corluka, I don't blame them a special right back named Kyle Walker is coming back on loan from Aston Villa next season and he is going to be a special piece. Either Corluka or most likely Hutton will get the boot.
Please, NBA is rarely exciting. Yeah they have more skill, but college is where dreams and amazing things actually happen. NBA is full of corrupt crooked players that have no heart. I rarely watch the Heat anymore a team I supported for ten years, other than Wade and Haslem really can't say I love the team. Sorry NBA other than the big time games are better. I laugh at the comparison of EPL to HNL. NBA doesn't have the care from fans to make the EPL. The NBA fan base is a freakin joke, nobody yells and nobody chants. I am a season ticket holder for St.John's ( top 25 mofos!!) and there are about 10 chants we make it. I have my players I love in the NBA ( Wade, Mike Beasley, Andrew Bogut, Jared Dudley are some players.. I am a Heat fan although disgusted to be one and do like the T-Wolves) but my interest for NBA has been going down and down. Leigh vs USC those are two teams that won't smell the NCCA tournament. Watch the Big East, BEST CONFERENCE IN BASKETBALL!!! Screw the NBA, I am heated.
I want to be first to say that am glad to see Ivan Klasnic back to his normal self. Its not for any player i'd travel to a random city to watch a match when none of my friends are free to come.. Versus York City Klasnic wasn't himself … This is the real IVAN KLASNIC!!!! Killer goalscorer…
Its a shame there is no vacancy in the national team for him. With Perisic, Kalinic and Jelavic having emerged i can't see where we can bring Klasnic in. Mandzo needs going out, but is there any point in bringing Klasnic to international matches if he isn't going to play .. probably not .. still enjoy watching his goals in a Bolton shirt.. 5 goals with not one start in the league is not bad going..
Also want to say why it Dujmovic not starting ahead of Vukojevic .. When Dujmovic came in he supplied a pass and stopped conceding goals VS Czech so i think he deserves the start in the next match. We need to find another defensive mid for national team. Brezovec, Ademi, Marin Ljubicic or someone like that needs to start showing something over next 12 months as 2 defensive midfielders is not enough..
Rozalija is without a doubt the most attractive member of the CSR Team. Just throwing that out there 🙂
Another winner by klasnic
Man check this out. This is getting to be comical.
Check this out….one guy voting for two people. So much for Stimac cleaning things up.
This is incredible.

Welcome Igor Stimac the new president of the HNS!
Finally this corrupt Dinamo strong hold at the top is starting to crack!
Get ready Mamic will be toppled next!
I must add though only in Croatia can you have two elected presidents serving at the same time:)

Look out for the Mavs this year, they'll be a very tough out.
I don't think anyone here is arguing that college players are better…we know they are not….
I think some of us prefer the college game (2 hours) and the effort put in by the kids and not the lazy attitude of nba players in the regular season.
for those that think that college basketball is better than the NBA…please. basketball is about putting the ball in the basket….and NBA players do it better than anyone in the world. sure, the college game is exciting because of the school pride and great game atmosphere provided by the students. and march madness is a great tournament, but if you want to watch the best players play, you have to watch the NBA. NBA players are in the NBA because they are better than college players. they shoot better, rebound better, jump higher and play better D. in fact, the D in the NBA is so good that the refs have to constantly call ticky-tack fouls for the stars otherwise no teams would score 100 pts. the worst bench warmers from the NBA D league would crush any college all-star team.
i'll concede that the NBA regular season is long and boring to some (unless your in a fantasy league like me, and a random Thurs nite TNT game between OKC and LAC matters because you have russell westbrook and eric gordon on your fantasy team). but you'll never see better quality basketball than you will in the NBA playoffs.
it's pretty simple when you break it down…college players are amateurs and NBA players are professionals, hence the NBA is better.
klasnic cleared of rape charges:
http://www.bljesak.info/content/view/69238/159/
College Basketball is more exciting to watch because of the intensity of the players and fans. Like Marko Petrovic's preference of Euro Ball over the NBA. (regardless of wheteher hes talented enough)
@Ziva,
"The regular season means nothing in the NBA."
The regular season means nothing in all 4 top sports.
MLB, NHL and NFL as long as you make the playoffs you have a chance at the trophy.
NBA, Not since Houston I believe has there been a 4 seed to lift the trophy.
But I get what you are saying… Lakers would not lose to Cleveland if it were a playoff game. Actually, I take that back. sadly, it would be Lakers in 6.
The only thing worth watching in the NBA is the last 5 minutes during the regaulr season. Playsoffs are a different story.
The regular season means nothing in the NBA.
I prefer watching the college game and then watch the NBA come playoff time.
@ Denis
I'm from Cleveland but I'm at school at Miami University (near Cinci)….hence my occasional drunken posts ranting about Miami hockey or football.
I agree with Anonymous… NBA is like EPL, while NCAA is like HNL..
Earlier this year, I was at Lehigh-USC… I must have seen 5 missed layups.
College Basketball has heart, but heart can only do so much without talent. NBA is "where amazing happens."
Please tuck your head between your legs if you think college basketball is better than the NBA. The NBA has far more talent and is far more interesting. Its like saying you prefer to watch the HNL over EPL…
College basketball is slow and boring. Its all about zone defense and the 35 second shot clock. Sure crazy stuff does happen but only due to the fact of these players making multiple amateur mistakes in crucial moments of the game.
Dont get me wrong there is good college matches but the only time I would tune in is the final 5 minutes of the game.
I am not really following the NBA ( college basketball is A LOT A LOT A LOT AAAA LOTTTT better than it) but it looks like the Celtics year to lose. They have Miami's number and I don't like the Spurs chances against them due to tough matchups. Lakers look out of it, don't think they wil make the final.
Goldenchild really good posts my man. I will be getting a Kranjcar jersey of whatever team he goes to next as well. If he was just a bit more physical, I think he starts over Peinaar ( still not impressed by him) but since Niko doesn't really like contact he didn't. Corluka will train next week, just hope Harry doesn't fall in love with that thickhead Hutton. Corluka was really playing well the past four games… and how many games did they win with Corluka in ALL FOUR!!!
@someguy,
Its hard to keep track of everyone on CSR, one more time, where are you writing us from?
I met Derek Fisher and Andrew Bynum today. Bynum is a dick, hopefully, the Lakers get rid of this sinking ship.
Lakers are struggling. I'm not gonna lie. They are looking like the Miami Heat. Gasol put up 30 and 20 against cavs and Kobe will get his. The rest of the team took an early vacation.
Lakers need a trade just to bring some new blood in, just for a change. Problem is, Artest is signed for another 3 years and Lakers owners dont want to give up on Bynum. It hurts me to say this but the Celtics will win the title this year. Spurs or Lakers will represent West.
Awesome stuff Rozalija, great contribution to CSR as usual!
I have a question for Svircic….
how do you feel losing to the worst team in the NBA? hahaha….GO CAVS!
Everybody loves Luka. No real love for Kranjcar and Corluka though. Typical. Kranjcar comes in and puts on a show, and still nista.
Once Niko leaves Tottenham, I'm buying his next jersey, no matter where he goes.
It always boggles my mind how Italians are so classless sometimes. Robinho is not even Italian, but it looks like the players over there are rubbing off on him. Trying to pick up Corluka made me more angry than Gatusso. The guy just got two footed by a flying karate move(whatever that was, since it wasn't a tackle) and is trying to get him off the field. Give me a break.
Gatusso is just a hot head. The announcers said how excited he was before the match. So I'm guessing there is some history there + it's champions league.
Anyways, Modric with the pass to start the Crouch goal.(weird) Kranjcar coming in late was nice to see, I'd like to see him go in sooner, but I understand the coaches decision.
Go Hrvati.
Side note: Klasnic scored the game winner for Bolton last night, according to FSC.
Bravo Rozalija,
famozan report sa mog San Sira,
next time idemo skupa gledati i
navijati za Crottenham!!
Pozdrav svima!!
Valentina
P.S. jedva cekam uzvrat na
White Hart Lane!!
Hvala svima.
How many times have we seen a parking lot sports interview and with a kiss….unbelievable!
Soccer is all about getting into your oponent's head. Whether it is to determine his next course of action or whether it is to make him so hysterical that his actions become detrimental to his team's action. Gattuso was affected by the latter of these two conditions. A shameful display of lack of control.
The hit by Flamini was criminal. The fact that he was allowed back onto the pitch after that incident was an affront to the sport.
The Croatian boys made a difference and the fact that Modric was playing a Champions League match only over a week after his appendectomy is a testament to the fortitude of his desire to win. Charlie was a hero. Anyone who saw the hit must have been writhing in agony alongside him. The fact that they dropped Kranjcar in during the second half demonstrates Redknapp's growing confidence in a recently absent Kranjcar. No doubt he was looking to snatch some of Kranjcar's recent magic for this game.
As for the Rossonieri they were sloppy. They were given no quarter by Tottenham and it showed. Both Robinho and Ibrahimovic were monumentally frustrated. The commentator on TSN got it right…these guys didn't do their homework on Tottenham.
I don't think that we have seen the last of AC Milan though. They will regroup and the next leg will be a real test.
Bravo decki.
I really don't mind the gattuso stuff. It reminds me a lot of some of the players i played with (fucken licani!). It brings some life in the game. However, that flamini bullshit is not acceptable.
Good news for Carli …
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/881606/vedran-corluka-sidelined-after-mathieu-flamini-lunge?cc=5901
@Rozalija,
Nije moglo biti bolje. Nothing is perfect so 9.9/10 🙂
Like Valentina, it looks like you made a love connection in Milan as well.
1000 thank you very much's for the report. Next time, try to get some female Tottenham fans on tape. You know me and British women.
As for the game, Flamini should be banned the rest of the season. Looks like Carli is out for the year.
Gattuso is a bitch that needs to get popped. Someone just needs to clock him one.
Great result by Shakhtar. Now all we need is Bayern over Inter and ariverderci digici!
Super report Rozalija!! 2 thumbs up!! Great to see the reaction of fans before and after the game. Couldn't have done it any better myself. Bravo!
As for the game, what Gattuso did was an absolute disgrace to the game. Flamini's 2 studs up challenge on Corluka takoder. Another example of Italian league garbage. Great result for Tottenham. Hopefully they can hold on in London.
