February 22nd, 2018 marks the 10 year anniversary of CroatianSports.com!
It was 10 years ago today, and shortly after Croatia defeated England 3-2 at Wembley in November of 2007 to deny them a Euro 2008 berth, that we began this quasi-journalism adventure. We have not only reported on Croatian sports in the English language, but we have also interviewed the “cream of the crop” of Croatian sports superstars; and them some. The list includes Luka Modrić, Josip Šimunić, Goran Ivanišević, former Croatian president Ivo Josipović, NBA MVP Steve Nash, former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp and world football legend David Beckham; to name a few.
Thank you all for your endless comments, praise and criticism throughout the years. Without you, CroatianSports.com would not be what it is today.
Here are CroatianSports.com’s Top 10 moments from the past 10 years:

Go away truth troll. Save your childish deragatory nicknames for your 4th grade playground mates.
,@ croatianperson
I relish I every goal scored by a Croat… But about 20 times more when it’s done for the national team rather than club. And i mainly only celebrate club goals for their possible relevancy to the repka. I do get some joy out of seeing Croats do well as well
But yes, the type of goal matters a lot. The goal against dortmund told you a lot more about bustalo than his rolling around on the ground goal yesterday.
I have always said, bustalo was one of my youngsters to watch. If all breaks well for him, he could someday be as good as perisic. He’s not the next robben though to those on the hype train
Fuck me left teste you aren’t kidding, that Milic really does look like Messi
@The Truth-Nobody said Bustaload’s goal was spectacular, but the goal had spectacular relegation impact.
ps- Wolfsburgs midfielders absolutely suck, or are blind. They refused to put the ball to his feet. Strange.
@Maminjo-we can also call up Sammir & Eduardo to make Argentina think they are playing a South American all star team.
Hrvoje Milić looks EXACTLY like Lionel Messi.
We should call him up to the World Cup just to confuse the Argentinians.
I should also say bustalo hadc what should’ve been a game winning assist
@ Truth – are you happy when Croatian players score goals are does it depend on the type of goal? Serious question
@ bz
I wouldn’t call that josip bustalo goal spectacular by any means. He pretty much swung and missed. Fell and rolled around on the ground. Before hitting it in. The defender was simply even clumsier than him
But it’s not all bad news. Bustalo is one of my young Croats to watch. The advanced stats favor him to be decent particularly because of his youth level performance. Particularly successful take ons and shots created. If all breaks well for him, he could some day be the next Ivan perisic for Croatia.
Wow Hrvoje Milic signed for Napoli did not see that coming
@ alexander
ill do it
@theTruth-Bustalo just busted a nut all over Mainz’ goalkeeper in the 6th minute. Now I understand your nickname.
Nice Ante, can’t believe it’s been 10 years!
Thought for sure we’d see a weeknight-evening streaming session with “Ron Jeremy” 🙂 lol

Hi to all those on the site. My sister has a 1 and 3 yr old and is looking for a full time Croatian speaking nanny to work on the lower west side of Manhattan. I think it’s a great deal for any Croatians who like kids and are looking for some work. 40k+ a year cash, vacation and flexibility!
If anyone might know of someone who would be interested (friend, relative etc) let me know and I will give you my email to reach out!. Thanks!!
