“UNITING CROATIAN FANS AROUND THE WORLD”
As leagues all over Europe begin to wind down and narrow their search for a champion, Denis and I (mostly Denis) had a great idea to include our most loyal supporters and diehard fans into the CroatianSoccerReport.com scene a bit more.
We would like Prva Generacija to voice their thoughts and opinions in our ‘Croatians Around Europe’ series. When you watch a game involving a Croatian footballer, you can create a little write-up of what happened in the game and how the Croatian player performed. Just like in ‘Croatians Around Europe’, add a picture or two and find a highlights video on Youtube and you’re all set!
Not just will this take some pressure off of Denis and I (as it usually takes us four hours combined to finish the post every weekend), but it will also produce different opinions of the games to run off of. No matter if the match is watched worldwide or if it’s Hrvoje Ćale playing lonesome in Turkey- we want to hear what you have to say! We will obviously be giving all our future writers full credit.
If you do find yourself in the mood to express your literary side, feel free to email all write-ups to CroatianSoccerReport@gmail.com.
CSR looks forward to hearing from all of you!
nice idea guys, id like to get in on this
Great idea guys. I have to admire how much effort you guys put into this website, well done!
As Croatian Soccer Report continues to ‘unite croatian fans around the world’, Ante and I are constantly looking for ideas on how to include you(now the Prva Generacija).
With hundreds of Croatian soccer players world-wide, covering each and every one would result in Ante and I to have no life whatsoever, watching everyone would be nearly impossible.
Also, a video highlight and a few pictures are not the same as a full on report of a player. Ante and I can dig out a picture or video of Hrvoje Cale, however, if he didn’t score or give up a goal in defense, there is no way of evaluating his performance.
this is where you come in. You happen to have Turkish TV (Why I don’t know), and you happen to catch the game….. email us a little write up, a picture if you can, maybe a little youtube video off your TV of a Cale highlight, etc etc…
Example: Dinamo-Kiev–uefa cup the other day, Vukojevic scores an “Ivica-in the right place at the right time Olic goal” For those of you that didnt watch the goal would think, “wow, great goal, Vuki is doing wonders at Dinamo.”
However, Vuki was caught out of position a few times, and wasn’t “the Croatian Pit Bull” at all..
Example #2….
A Prva Generacija member( or druga generacija) counters with “Vuki” was a beast… or agrees…
We want to be on the same page, however, ultimately, we want to learn from each other. With two, three or four different player summaries, we will see how good our analysis matches up against the rest. Also, for the games we didn’t see, our fellow Prva Generacija brother(or sister) will keep us informed.
I have to disagree with Ante, as this will put more pressure on us in evaluating write ups, and organizing everything. Also, we will continue to write and bring you Croatians around Europe, UEFA, champions league, and after hell freezes over, MLS.
However, I enjoy spending my time reading, writing, watching, and reporting about my passion: Croatian soccer.
Ultimately, I want to turn this website into something that I would be on for hours every day.
Also, any suggestions or requests are highly appreciated. Tell Ante and I what you want from this website!
