After a 2-0 loss to West Ham at Maksimir two weeks ago, Dinamo Zagreb rebounded in a huge way with a 3-0 victory in Belgium vs. Genk. Luka Ivanušec got the party started in the 10th minute with patience in front of goal before he struck home. Mislav Oršić would bang a finely tuned shot off the crossbar before striker Bruno Petković converted a slow and cheeky penalty in 1st half injury time. Petković would bag a second penalty in the 2nd half to secure all three points for the Croatian champions.
With the result, Dinamo move to 2nd place in group and currently own the tiebreaker over Genk. Their next two matches are against Austrian side, Rapid Wien, who have yet to tally a point from their first two games. Dinamo can quickly begin to secure second spot in group with results over Rapid Wien over the next month as Genk will have to play West Ham twice – the best team in the group.
Europski Dinamo is back.
Four points in the next two games against Rapid Vienna will very likely secure Dinamo progression.
beat me to it hahah
Nice to see our supporters there too. Much of the game you could hear the dinamo chants more than the home crowd. We have the best fans in the world (and I mean all Croatian fans). Its too bad that they threw flares on the field…will get sanctions for sure.
Good game for Dinamo. We’re back baby!
Basic, goal for Lazio!
Got a feeling in a generation or two, at least half our players will be Lukas
Will have a luka something “ic” in goal no doubt:)
Actually would be great to see
Modric ivanusec and sucic on the field at once before retirement
Heck zlatan is apparently is going to play for Sweden at 40….
Filip Benkovic sighting. On the bench for Leicester v Warsaw.
It’d be great if he got some Europa league minutes.
Dinamo’s been quite weak lately, I’m not confident for this match and I’m not confident in Krznar. My preferred lineup would be:
Saranic is not with the squad unfortunately so put Ivanusec RW, Petko AM and Juric at ST. I’d like to see Baturina get a cameo as well.
Ya…they seem to have fallen apart after the Sheriff beat down.
other than Theophile, I’m ok with this lineup!
Dinamo: Livaković; Theophile, Lauritsen, Franjić; Ristovski, Ivanušec, Mišić, Ademi, Oršić; Petković; Čop
He did well Markus! He’s good for this league…not much more.
