Oh boy!
Dinamo almost had a huge Champions League road win today in Ukraine; only to have their dream dashed by a 75th minute Dodo equalizer to force a 2-2 draw in Donetsk. Both Shakhtar goals came from sloppy and open Dinamo defending but the usual suspects – Dani Olmo and Mislav Oršić – once again came to play.
Oršić would feed Olmo in front of the net in the 25th minute for a first half equalizer and then cooly convert from the penalty spot in the 60′ to give Dinamo the lead. Oršić nearly scored again in the second half dribbling the ball nearly 60 yards down field only to have his shot clank off the post. Olmo then hit the outside of the post in injury time – but at the end of the day – Dinamo have to be happy from a draw in Donetsk.
Regarding Olmo – who was nearly sold to Ajax in the summer – his stick just keeps on climbing. The same can be said for Oršić. Barring a complete implosion, Dinamo are trending to finish top-three in the group which means they would at minimum play in the Europa League Round of 32 in February. The question is: when will Dinamo sell Olmo and for how much?
Dinamo are in fantastic position going into their November 6th match against Shakhtar in Zagreb. Once again, a draw would be a respectable result but a win over Shakhtar and a Man City victory over Atalanta that same day would ensure Dinamo’s profession in Europe following the new year. Should the match end 1-1, Dinamo will hold the tiebreaker over Shakhtar in more goals scored versus “said team”.
Dinamo’s defense left goalie Dominik Livaković “high and dry” on more than one occasion and manger Nenad Bjelica should clean that up in the next two week.
Things are looking good for Dinamo Zagreb at the moment: both on the field and in the bank account.

So funny, you’d rather write what you did than address the Croatian part of my comment?
Lol, how about the comment I read on Youtube, you don’t fit in lol!
Is where I should say “stay on your meds”? Lol, because you seem to be imagining that you’re a Croat!
Your mental stability is frightening! The way things get processed in your head boggles my mind. Even if I wanted to, I can’t.. Please don’t ever leave your mama’s basement. For the sake of humanity I truly hope u aren’t armed..
Also, what about the time @Poglavnik said his kid would speak better Croatian than most of the people on this site. How the fuck would he know that, is he a detective lol?
How many comments has he ever written in Croatian? Umm, that would be none.
The guys a Canadian idiot.
“Pog is just your typical scared white guy. Frightened to say anything to anyone that isn’t white or christian…but doesn’t hold back when criticizing someone who is white or christian. Ha ha.”
I agree, he is a muppet.
Lol, he mocks Catholic Croats whilst on his keyboard.
But do you reckon he’d say anything like that to his Mohammedan friends in person, or to Catholic Croats for that matter? No chance.
Maybe he just doesn’t want to answer the question because he feels he would be betraying Canada and it’s multiculturalism. It’s easier to mock what you don’t care about, and that would be the majority Catholic Croats.
– Comment from Youtube
Sinovi Hercegovine – Hercegovac za Hrvatsku diše
@Poglavnik is no Hercegovac. He’s fucking Canadian in character.
I hope Croatia smash Canada if we play ’em, I gonna give @Poglavnik so much shit!
So calling one guy a moron that happens to be a Catholic Croatian (according to you anyway) and me having Muslim friends certifies your accusation does it? You really a moron.
Keep up you’re stellar detective work!
Also..to answer the other anonymous guy posting above…
no it has nothing to do with skin color.
just wanted to know why Poglavnik is so quick to label Catholics as being idiots, but won’t do the same for Muslims.
What’s the difference if they both believe in God?
Then they are both idiots, no?
Pog is just your typical scared white guy. Frightened to say anything to anyone that isn’t white or christian…but doesn’t hold back when criticizing someone who is white or christian. Ha ha.
Poglavnik. Why won’t you just answer it?
^
I can tell it wasn’t. I asked the question initially and I knew you wouldn’t answer it, and I don’t need ya to answer it. Your silence confirmed to me that knew you came across as moron there.
I think it’s @pro white guy that wants an answer from ya because your Mohammedan buddies were not white.
Umm that other dude was you..
Hope u get your meds right one day.
If u need something a little stronger, hit me up!
Hey Pog.
You didn’t answer that dudes question from before.
Why do you consider Croats to be idiots if they believe in God, but you consider your Muslim buddies to be two of the most intelligent people you know?
Are they not idiots as well for believing?
Or does your thinking apply only to Catholics?
^ ^
Haha!
Gaad damn is she fine!
You creeper..
My dream was about banging caleta cars girlfriend
Sorry Duje
@DannyJ-talking about dreams is lame, but I had the same dream last night (Monday night), except we were losing 3-1.
Same shitty dream on the same random night. Mysteries of the Unknown, somebody call Time Life.
Atlanta just got hammered 5-1 by Man City.
Dinamo managed to keep it scoreless in Manchester, until the last 15 minutes. Dinamo just out chanced Shakhtar in this game as well.
Honesty, Dinamo has easily been playing second best in this group.
Bjelica almost pulled off the Round of 16 with a garbage Austria Vienna side, and now he looks like he’ll pull it off with Dinamo.
Excellent coach.
Would be devastated if he somehow isn’t our next National Team coach.
I’ll definitely take the tie. We will smash Donetsk at home I bet. Dinamo is looking pretty good so far
Whoscored.com and Sofascore.com are more technical and stats oriented, both have Dinamo Zagreb second.
Why is Dinamo ranked third in the group below Shakhtar on UEFA.com and all these other sports sites?
Dinamo is +2 and Shakhtar is -2 overall in Goal Diff.
Even on head-to-head we are ranked ahead of them.
Ugh, I hate little things like this.
And just to make it an even better day Red Star lost 5-0
He’s looking great too. Holding the back line, on the road, against Ronaldo.
Corluka starting for LOK vs Juve, surely we can cap him one more.
@ dannyj
If Croatia make another great run in the Euros. I can see Dalic stepping down and cashing-in and getting a nice contract in Europe at club level….
…At that point the door will be open for Bjelica, who wouldn’t mind getting some major exposure coaching Croatia in a World Cup qualifying cycle. Plus he knows a lot of the players from working with them at club level.
@Dannyj
The NT is for Croatians.
I suppose let’s hope man city beats Atalanta
Then I guess will mostly come down to the home match against Shaktar
Scoring two away goals assuming is a big positive today in potential tie break situation
I totally agree on Oršić getting mins
But for this must win or I I guess must tie game at least
We should keep the continuity we have
If u want to call it that
He has to get minutes in the friendly and going forward
He has showed good form for past couple seasons? Correct me if I’m wrong
That run in the second half was highlight reel
Do u guys think Bjelica would take over if dalic stepped down?
I figure we get in to euros dalic will stick round to after euros and then go
Unless he sees the ship sinking and will jump off even before euros even If we qualify
Before the tournament, we were all talking about what it would take to finish third and stay in Europa, lol.
Bjelica’s response was: “hold my beer”.
Is it too late to cap Bjelica for our National team as well?
Everything this man touches turns to gold.
Shaktar need to win in ZG to go through. Dinamo is in the driver’s seat.
Orsic’s 4th goal today puts him joint top scorer of the Champions League so far this season.
Dinamo goin’ toe-to-toe with Shakhtar and almost winning! If they play like this surely they win the return fixture in Zagreb.
I can’t imagine how Orsic doesn’t start OR get significant minutes off the bench (like 30min), versus Slovakia.
Good job from Dinamo not selling everyone and pulling out some more bucks this way and cashing in at the end
Smart business and not bad soccer to watch all around
Cap that black defender and play him with Peric against Slovakia and we should be just fine
He is the black schildenfeld!
A very well played road game. At times they were the stronger side, always looking dangerous. I predict 3 points back in Zagreb and that sets them up nicely to go through as second in the group.
Nice point
Let’s go baby!!! Oršić is the man. Four goals already this Champions League, right?
What a PK!
Wow no kidding
Oršić demanding time from dalic
So unlucky not to score and would be one of the goals of champions league thus far
What a run from Orsic
Damn I missed the first half.
Is Bjelica starting Gavranović because Petković isn’t really a counter attacking player?
If we pull out the draw because of this, Bjelica is honestly an amazing coach.
Ya would be amazing if they could get into knockout stages
Had a bad dream we lost 2-1 against Slovakia
I sure hope I’m wrong
this dinamo team is the real deal! I feel like a good second half and we can steal a win!
OLMOOOOOO
Recovering from injury
agreed, why is Bruno on the bench
No Petković in the starting lineup. Wow.
If anyone finds a good link to the game later, can you please share it.
