Dinamo Zagreb entered yesterday’s return match against Israel’s Hapoel Beer-Sheva with a five-goal aggregate lead. This lead was cut to three goals rather quickly when Hapoel scored twice before the half. With an almost-nervous feeling creeping up on the Modri, Mario Budimir and Izet Hajrović stepped up to even the score at two.
This returned the dominating five-goal lead, winning the two-legged tie 7-2. The win punched their ticket to teh third round of qualifying where they await the victor of today’s match between Danish side FC Midtylland and Kazak side Astana FC.
NK Osijek travel to Glasgow tomorrow to try and regain control of their Europa League destiny. They are currently behind 1-0 entering the match against Rangers, but are prepared to take on the Scots and hope to advance to the third round.
