#respect!
Luka Sucic who?
Go Petar
Petar’s tireless running and defense is more valuable to us right now.
what does Misic have to do to get some love from Dalic. He is playing great and only 30 yrs old. We need another CDM on the team. I’ve never watched Moro play so don’t know what he brings over Misic other that sitting on bench in Italy for the majority of his career. Baturina also had a good game but was a bit less influential the past games. Shields the ball well and is strong for a little guy.
Susic & Pjaca with co MOTH IMO. So impressed with Susic’s box to box play. Pajaca still has the crazy river dance step overs that are effective. Played great down the wing. He deserves minutes on the National team. Dalic needs to stop calling up so many CAM and give opportunities to to other players. We already know what Vlasic brings and we don’t need it. He should stop getting called up. Know one know’s what Moro brings so he should also stop getting called up.
The danger with not capping Sandro is that he may end up playing BiH
There’s no danger there.
Everyone wants to play for us.
If he plays for BiH, it will be because we don’t want him.
As an example, I don’t think for a second that a player like Niko Sigur chose Canada over Croatia. Dalic and the HNS likely sat him down and told him that guys like Petar Sucic, Martin Baturina, Luka Sucic (and possibly a few other young mids) are ahead of him in the pecking order (and likely will be in the foreseeable future).
They gave him the opportunity to switch to Canada, and he took it. Now it seems like he made the decision himself, but in reality, there was simply zero chance for him to become a regular for us (especially with several younger guys already ahead of him).
I think Sandro Kulenovic has a shot to become a regular for us…but there definitely is a large group a younger strikers who could easily usurp him.
Beljo, Matanovic, Matkovic, Frigan, Simic, Crnac, Ivanovic, and Ljubicic are all younger than him, and all you need is for 1 or 2 of them to pan out (which would permanently put Sandro on the bench). There is a pretty decent chance of this happening…but despite this, I still highly doubt that he plays for BiH.
Don’t think so. I think Sigur got but hurt for not being selected to the main roster for the Euro. Never seen him play so don’t know what potential he has but Dalic deciding to take an injured Vlasic to Euro’s knowing he was not going to play one minute was as bonehead as can be.
Same thing happened with Sosa when he didn’t get called up to the NT. Only difference is Sosa was 24 yrs old when he decided to switch to Germany. The funny thing is that Sosa’ career has only degressed since being called to the NT. Same can be said for Bradaric. Both playing for mid-table teams in Italy.
Sigur should have remained patient and picked Hrvatska. He is a Swiss knife and can play multiple positions. Big things don’t come easily. Rushing to pick Canada while nursing minor injuries didn’t make sense. He could have easily picked his country of choice next fall. Focus needed to be on Cro u21 and Hajduk.
Yeah idk about your point regarding Sigur.
Unlike the other mids you mentioned, he is also very much capable of playing on the back line.
He made the switch over to Canada shortly after Juranovic and Stanisic went down, so there was a position open for him in the squad.
He likely would’ve been next in line to take the right-back position had he stayed with us, especially given that he was in the Euro Prelim Squad.
Sandro Kulenović, late blooming Croatian striker! 2nd goal was beautiful.
So you only play 8 games in the league despite the fact there are 36 teams? So is it just drawn out of a hat or how is it decided who you play? How is it equitable?
There is seeding involved. Frankly, I preferred the previous version. But mo’ teams mo’ money.
This format is so much better. It keeps more team alive for longer. More parity. You’re playing 8 different teams. In the past teams like Real Madrid and City would play teams like Genk and Slovan Bratislava in their first 4 games…lock up top spot…and play their C-squads for the last 2 games. It sucked.
Obviously this is to combat the Super League from UEFA but this format will get spicy going into the last 2 games. I like it.
Dinamo will probably need another 3 points to make it to the knockout stage?
Next match home to B.Dortmund, followed by Celtic at home and then next January, Arsenal away and AC Milan at home.
Kulenovic in good scoring form and one has to wonder when Dalic will give him a call up? Kulenovic should at least be on the standby list.
Gvardiol with a silly push in the back resulting in a spot kick and third goal for Sporting against Man City.
Kulenovic looks terrible on the field…yet scores goals. I don’t get it, ha ha.
He will probably get a callup sooner or later.
Re: Dinamo’s point total…
3 points should clinch, but Celtic won’t be easy. They just beat RB Leipzig 3-1 which is not easy to do. They also managed a scoreless draw against Atalanta in Italy last time.
They’re in great form right now. It will be tough to pull out the full three points on them.
I was hoping we would catch Dortmund’s current bad form and squeeze out a point against them in Zagreb in three weeks. Same as AC Milan in January…but Milan just pulled off a big win on Real.
This next month should tell us if Dinamo is going through.
Budimir looks even worst when he plays. Looks like all arms and legs flailing around. Kulano always seems to be in the correct position and is good with headers.
With playing Milan last, and Dinamo at home, Milan should have qualified and may play a weaker squad. Dinamo must play well as well as have some luck, so more points should be available that match.
Great result with some lucky breaks with 2 of the goals. Incredibly poor defending for the goal conceded, with both defenders taking the central attacker and leaving the outside attacker open.
As someone previously commented, a shame Dinamo couldn’t hold onto the lead against Monaco. With 9 points after 4 games, they would be in great shape to advance. Need to take care of business v Celtic at home, and any other points are a bonus.
Sveto ime Dinamoooooo!
Holy Dinamo
Looking forward to hearing reports on our prospects
This run is really good for the young guns confidence
Yeah. Defensively, the entire backline is bad (except for Torrente) and should be replaced.
No point in paying these foreign guys if you can just replace them with Dinamo youth players.
Good effort by Dinamo to turn it around and lead 2 – 1 at HT after a poor start.
Dinamo look dangerous going forward, however their defence looks a bit suspect.
Close VAR penalty decision went Dinamo’s way. When VAR called the ref to come and a have a look for a potential foul on Slovan player in the box I thought that’s it, however English ref Taylor in the end made the right call but it could have easily gone the other way.
I was surprised he needed to review that. Never a penalty “for me.”
