Dinamo come back from two goals down to beat Swiss side Thun 3-2 in extra time at Maksimir in Champions League qualifying! This is a huge result, not only for Dinamo, but for Croatian football as the reigning champs were left for dead in Zagreb with only 45 minutes to go.
After an atrocious 1st half that saw Dinamo down 2-0 and 3-1 on aggregate after defensive blunders, the Modri flipped the script in the 2nd half against Swiss champions Thun. But all the momentum shifted in the 67′ when Thun defender Marco Burki picked up a straight red card. Beljo cut the lead in half seven minutes later awkwardly heading home Valinčić cross into the box. Then it was game on in the 79′ when Kačavenda would head home a loose ball in the box following a corner to make it level on aggregate. The match would head into extra time where Valinčić would be the hero for Dinamo slamming home a shot from 20 yards out to beat the Thun keeper with only eight minutes remaining in the match. It was a HUGE come from behind win for Dinamo!
Dinamo will now play the winner of KÍ/Kauno Žalgris in the Champions League 3rd qualifying round where they will be favored. A win in that tie will ensure Dinamo plays at least Europa League this year!
This is a fantastic result for Croatian coefficient. 📈

Jaga off 65’
Greek commentators bewildered he’s coming off
Only got to see 8 minutes – he’s was the biggest threat
3-3 on aggregate – especially weird to take him off if games goes to ET
Jaga 2nd goal of the season
Right b4 halftime to level it up 1-1 (3-2 aggregate)
It’s PAINFUL being the GOAT
😘
And yes MORONS it’s a World Class rocket
Hajduk is “Hajduk”-ing it again….sad because they played remarkably in the first leg.
Jaga starts btches!
Bravo UEFA!
It looks like UEFA is moving to boycott the WC over this FIFA cash grab that’s in the news. Pretty amazing if true.
It’s official; UEFA won’t participate in FIFA competitions if this private investment garbage goes through.
I imagine it fails as the AFC is against it and I think concacaf against it too.
It would be nice if this springboards Infantino being ousted and some reform to FIFA.
I hope they continue with the private investment bs. Then we simply have the Euros every two years. No more Argentina, crappy CONCACAF or Asia teams. Africa was the only confederation outside of UEFA to do well. South America got help from FIFA and VAR garbage. The Euros are much, much better than the World Cup and you can actually attend a game without taking out a mortgage.
JAGA GAME DAY !!!
14:30 Thursday 30th
For those still in Mykonos it’s on Skai.tv
@Crnkovic: Kangwa won’t play – can’t be added unless they get thru to Q3 – funny you say he’s slow as when I watched him I was thinking “I wish we had someone this fast on the Croatia NT!” i.e. slow for Zambia = Usain Bolt for Croatia NT 😂
😊. Yeah if you watch his clips he looks quick because he is cutting through Israel league defences most of the time he is on the move and defenders are commiting themselves towards the ball and he is just dropping his shoulder and going past them with ease. He doesn’t have real pace to beat a top defender one vs one. Majer would look quick in that league
Zambian football has literally zero infrastructure. All the pitches are terrible, the coaching is very basic (although it’s beginning to modernise now) and there are no academies to educate young players on technique and tactics. So it’s all raw talent, which means we produce lots of players who can stand out in smaller leagues but struggle to step up to top level. We were once feared in Africa, always one of top 6 teams, but we’ve been left behind as other countries have put serious investment into football. Here it’s gone backwards. I say here as I’m in Zambia now. I came for my dad’s funeral last week. Patson Daka is another example he has great pace and finishing ability. Smashed it at Salzburg after Haaland left, people were thinking he is the next Haaland. But he didn’t have the all round technical ability to compete in the premier league for Leicester, which I Ofcourse already knew having analysed his game. Zambia has a long way to go to catch up with the likes of Cape Verde who we would once beat very easily 3/4 zero. But good for the kids if someone like kangwa can inspire. Zambia is one the poorest nations on earth. Long way to go in every aspect of economic development. Best nature in the world though. I’m not kidding. If you want to go on safari come to Zambia. Lower Zambezi and South luangwa are the two best national parks on the world. Just be careful not to fall in the river because you will 100% be eaten by crocodiles, and if you take a oiss behind a bush make sure there is nobody already doing the same. A 19 year old tourist was trampled to death by an elephant about a mile from us when we were there. Needed a piss bad and didn’t check properly. Let me know when you coming anon I’ll get you a discount at one of the 5 star camps 🙏🏻
Remember when Anonymous said Saranic shouldn’t be diving head first off cliffs ?
Here’s what can happen – twice in a week same place

As previewed
Anonymous was putting IMMENSE PRESSURE on Brighton that they aren’t featuring Luka enough in their social media/videos (only split second/background)
Fast forward today
Brighton release a LONG 90 second video titled “Luka’s First Training Session” (which is a LIE as he was playing keep-up yesterday) but it’s 100% all Luka – entering the training, getting his bib, team talk, Luka dribbling, Luka skilling, Luka walking off the field – and CUTELY Luka grabbing a post-training Smoothie (not sure if Brighton have a partnership with Igor’s Hamburg bubble-tea place?)
Once again, as always, Anonymous is the GOAT – Anonymous speaks – the WORLD runs like little ants
P.S. Luka is the ONLY Brighton player wearing a tank-top in training – the rest wear sleeves – this is SMART from Luka and his BIG ARMS imposing himself on his teammates
Good.
Now focus some of your efforts on pressuring the government to stop the illegals from flooding Croatia.
😊
I’ve seen some of the stuff on X
TBH – some of the guys that are the loudest – I’m almost thinking they are double-agents or something (and trying to catch others that think like they portray like under Yugo times) – especially when they telegraph their “strategy” of befriending them, getting them to trust them, and report them?
It’s too much imo to be believable that their intention is as they portray.
Don’t telegraph the strategy (in any circumstance) – work in the background for those that want to report – also don’t understand why somebody doesn’t report/contact FB and tell them to take down illegal posts – they must be able to adjust the algos for key words, etc to catch them as they go up
The big issue – is of course who benefits – as long as people in the Government and “business man” (who give “campaign contributions” to those in the Government) – benefit from it and want it that way – it ain’t going to stop bc people are against it/report it (I mean it’s very unlikely not impossible) – best way is to run for office and make change as a politician (but doubt any outsider can just show up and get elected in position of influence like mayor of Zagreb or something – unless they are playing with Rimac type $$$ or backed by the same “business man” from which the problem originates to begin with)
Signing orsic was a mistake. Vidovic has been playing centre attacking midfield, it’s not his position. His position is LW competing with hoxha and orsic. 3 of the best players on the squad competing for one position means less minutes for all. Dinamo need to sell one of them immediately. Hoxha is ready to try to take a step up somewhere maybe Greece or turkey
It started last season, Dinamo want to make Vidovic into a #8. Problem with Vidovic is his speed, not fast enough to be a winger, his all around skill set isn’t up to snuff to be a midfielder, not strong enough to be a striker. He can do a little of everything but not great at any position. He is a forward that supports the main striker. A position that is only in a few systems which Dinamo dont play. Last season he statrted on wing and lost out to Hoxha, then Dinamo got the Idea that Vidovic should be a midfielder i dont see it.
Orsic looks done.
I remember an article on SN last year that Vidovic was complaining about being played on the LW as he say himself as a central #10-ish player – he didn’t like the responsibility of having to play two-way and track back – stuff like that
He has some nice moves at the end of last season (forget the game – but that one move where he Neymar-ed the ball past the defender on the by-line with the outside of his right foot while he was sticking out his tongue – it was magical/majestic) – the only way he will succeed is if he has the “tongue-out” mindset game in/game out
Can kacavenda make a come back and be on the repka radar?
He sure was promising before injuries
Nice goal from valincic
We need wing backs
Let’s hope he can catch form and hit some higher levels
I know it’s gonna suck hard with Luka leaving but I think we will be just fine long term
I mean…have we been so great these past two tournaments (Euro 2024 and WC 2026) where losing Luka would have been so devastating?
I don’t think whether we had Luka or not, that we’d somehow have been so much worse.
We were crap in all three games at the Euros, and we were crap for all but 1.5 games at this last World Cup (pretty much getting scored on every set piece and leaking goals in injury time).
I don’t think we’ll drop off at all once Luka leaves…but don’t quote me on this. 😉
Kacavenda could one day if he progresses. Chances are slim but he still has skill and smarts. He is a box to box #8 which we are deep in so most likely not but doesnt hurt to have more depth. I am a big fan and was dissapointed when Dinamo got rid of him last year. Kacavenda Zajc and stojkovic should rotate throughout the year.
Stojkovic and Kacavenda were both very highly rated before their injuries.
Stojkovic looks like he could achieve his pre-injury potential (or maybe 80 percent of it).
Kacavenda probably not. Kacavenda had to do a second surgery a few months after he came back from the first one, so he lost a lot of additional development time.
Kacavenda’s game was likely more impacted by his knee injury, due to his first step being so explosive. He probably lost some of that now.
He’s also going to be 24 in March, so he lost a couple of critical development years.
Check out Valincic’s laznjak at 6:46 which set up the first goal
When Valincic scored why did he point to himself/DZ logo and then the ground to convey “I’m staying here”
Bro – not even one club has put forward an offer for you – where would you go ? lol
Something isn’t right in this guys head
Looks like he’s just saying that Im here lol
Speaking of not right in the head..
Why did Valincic explode and yell at the poor ball boy at 08:01 after the Topic shot got saved/went out ??
Very poor mentality to pick on the ball boy – it’s not that ball boy’s job at the touchline to give the ball to the keeper – it’s the ball boy behind the net’s job (which he does)
Terrible terrible attitude – these ball boys look up to the players – they are their idols and want to be them one day – especially as this is at Maksimir (if it was away it wouldn’t matter as much) – the ball boy 100% didn’t do anything wrong and 100% didn’t deserve to get yelled at
Zero percent he gets called up for the NL – Bilic will have seen this – and you can’t have that attitude in the squad
Jaga and his Anonymous-like Monster Arms able to defend TWO players on corners/crosses
Valincic, Vidovic and Dominguez combined can’t defend one player (I’ve never seen such a free header in my life)
There is levels to this football thing
