NET.HR/ NEW DINAMO KITS FOR 2011-12 SEASON
GNK Dinamo Zagreb have traded in their Diadora kits from last year for some brand-new spiffy Puma threads for this years campaign. The light blue kit will be used for domestic play in the Prva Liga and Croatian Cup competitions while the gold will be used for away games. Dinamo has also released a third kit, which will only be used in European play, a navy blue set-up with diagonal stripes fading into white on the top. This third Puma kit is very similar to the Tottenham Hotspur jersey from last season. The shorts are exactly identical! How much influence did the popularity of Crottenham have on the Dinamo kit this year?
SPORTSKE NOVOSTI/ A NEW SEASON ROLLS OUT AT MAKSIMIR
Dinamo will roll out the new jersey this Wednesday when they open up Champions League qualifying play against Azerbaijan champions Neftchi Baku on July 13th from Maksimir Stadion. Maksimir has received a small facelift this summer as new seats have been added, spelling GNK DINAMO across the stands. A brand-new set of grass has also been rolled out this week.
With the addition of Jerko Leko and Domagoj Vida during the summer transfer window, Dinamo should have no problem getting past Baku over two legs. Dinamo would then be seeded in the third qualifying round and could have a legitimate chance at cracking the Champions League group stage in September if they get some luck in the draw process.
Last season, Dinamo fell to Moldovan champions Sheriff Tiraspol in the third qualifying round of a roller coaster 6-5 penalty shootout loss from Maksimir. How far will Dinamo go this Champions League campaign?
It's not negative, it's called being realistic. Have you ever been to a league game in Croatia? Go, and then tell me if you think it's realistic or not.
Someone asked me if I was anti-white or pro-white? Like I have said before, the only color battle that matters to me is blue vs white and sometimes black vs red. I'm PRO blue. Get that through your head. Mama professor education? Thankfully unlike you I don't have to rely on the Turner Diaries for my edamaction, you sick fuck.

@anonymous,
I dont know which one. this is sounding ridiculous.
"luxurient-black-turkic"
thats hilarious.
@Hamilcar,
You make some good points about "preserving the white race" however, no one is interesting to speak about this topic on this website.
Whenever you do write about croatian soccer, your comments are solid and I like what you bring to the table.
As far as writing for CSR, when you are ready, shoot us an email. Lets see what you got.
@Denis, I'm well aware that my ideas may never come to anything forever; however, I'm very confident my creations will hold this entire world by its fuckin balls. I don't have anything specific in mind for CSR other than maybe I could write some sports articles/blogs, but a couple of my ideas if they come to fruition will have alot of add-space & perhaps even a croatian twist. And that comment about "luxurient black turkic hair" – I read something like in this book called 'Enemy at the Gate' by Andrew Wheatcroft – that's where I learned about Nikola Zrinski.
Ante B: "I want to agree with you because it is a valid point but Hrvati do not have the same mentality as Englezi."
Are you talking about the same Englezi who are infamous for their hooliganism, that atrocious incident with the Italian fans when many people (mostly Italians) were killed, plus that stampeding incident which was the catalyst to design soccer specific stadiums in England?
Why are you so fucking negative? Dude, grow out of your mommy professor education.
Ante B – its too bad…i think its a great experience to get soo close to the players you admire and love to watch…regardless of your age! could you imagine watching international matches so close…it would be amazing!
Anonymous,
You lost me at white power; I don't subscribe to that.
Slavonac,
I want to agree with you because it is a valid point but Hrvati do not have the same mentality as Englezi.
Durda Adlesic tried to become the Margaret Thatcher of Croatia with the incredibly useless 'zakon o sprjecavanju nereda na sportskim natjecanjima' but to no avail.
Croatia has an extremely long way to go but for now, no chance of moving the field closer to the stands…not a chance.
Ante B – i understand your comment but have to think if it is successful in England with all the problems they used to have then it can be possible anywhere. i think its a matter of using preventative measures like they do in England. After a while people would learn that misbehaving will only get you kicked out and completely barred from attending games.
…really?
bring the stands closer to the pitch?????…..not in Croatia, unless you have one cop for every two fans watching their actions.
You do realize we're talking about Croatia, right? Not America or Germany. Transformable stands? Again, you do realize we're talking about Croatia? Cost effective? Ha!
I have to elude to Allen Iverson's famous quote, "we talkin' 'bout pratice."
I still hold that, at this point, bringing the field closer to the fans is not effective, efficient and not logical. However, being the curious natured soul that I am, posit to you: how would you make it cost effective? Use Croatian standards of business (is to laugh), not American.
If you're intimating that hooliganism would make it unsafe, I would say that one could design transformable stands in such a way as to make it safe for the pitch dwellers as well as the fans themselves; of course the trick is making it all cost effective.
@Ante B, why? explain.
No chance they'll bring the game CLOSER to the fans in Croatia, not a chance. It's suicide.
One more, the upgrades to Maksimir look pretty good from what I can recall of what it looked like before. However, on one side of the stadium/field, it looks like they could easily install removable stands so that (at least on that side of the field) the fans are in essence on top of the pitch – which provides a better atmosphere and background both there and on the TV. I'm talking about that side of the field with the high wall and room to spare.
One more comment before I eventually own the new site. Denis, you can't possibly be thinking about cutting that luxurient-black-turkic hair of yours….hahahaha.
I saw the vid of the presenting of the kit. Grown men break dancing in dinamo kit. tsk tsk. Somebody should tell them break dancing went out in the eighties. What is it with people in Zagreb and their fascination with cheesey fads from years ago and awful music. I was surprised there wasnt a Chuck Norris impersonator in Dinamo kit.
@ Denis
Sad vec nista…

A moment of pause. Let's remember the songs we used to sing growing up.
Pimpek moj! Pimpek moj!
Samo hrabro stoj'!
Hrabro stoj, hrabro stoj
I niceg se ne boj!
Ja sam mala misica
Ti si mali vuk
Nasa mala kucica
Idemo na fuk!

“there have been many other useless/drivel comments they stayed up forever. What's better to keep up? drivel that has nothing to do with soccer/sport or substance which nevertheless has nothing to with sport?”
So what is your suggestion?
They need to hire a lawyer to help them decide what to remove? People like you would never be satisfied.
All I’m saying is let’s enjoy the site. If you don’t like something, skip over it. They can not make everybody happy. Each one of us can find something we do not like. If we can not ignore what we see, answer is obvious.

"NOBODY WILL MISS YOU. GO!"
haha, but I'll miss you 🙂
@AB, you're right about not giving enough time – I realize you don't have someone 24/7 reading these comments. However, it's still there and there have been many other useless/drivel comments they stayed up forever. What's better to keep up? drivel that has nothing to do with soccer/sport or substance which nevertheless has nothing to with sport?
@ the above mentioned spam comment,
That is just a web-generated spam bot comment. Nothing we can do. Usually it gets deleted right away but this one got through. Easy boys.
@ Anonymous, 11:15 A.M.
It is almost like I recognize you.
You were very fast to criticize CSR boys without giving them time to remove the comment or react to it in any way. You just look for the reason to spit the negativity. Let me just say that I do not like to read comments like yours either. So, if you leave, NOBODY WILL MISS YOU. GO!
AB
You're quick to erase anything that doesn't conform to our established religion of political correctness but you leave this shit above on the board – what exactly does this have to do with soccer/sport? I don't come to this site for this, and your hypocracy is even more reason not to.
A look inside the new Maksimir…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=836M3OiYAqk&feature=feedu
All you need to do to test the validity of "improvements" they have made to Maksimir is to go under any of the tribine and take a huge whif. If you've been to Maksimir and you know that smell, and it's still there, they haven't changed anything worth mentioning. Smoke in your eyes people, Mamic's way of doing things
The training tops dinamo wore today at their practice in Maksimir look much better than the gold and navy blue jerseys. I think the light blue is outstanding (minus the white stripe on the shorts).
The one item that is making me laugh is the media coverage the improvements to the stadium are getting. Having a heated field will help later in the year, but all of these other improvements are marginal. New seats, paint job and blue turf around the athletic track improve the view of the stadium. But, its still a dump. When with they (and when i mean they i also inlcude the idiots over at hajduk) realize they need to make improvements that rival what stadiums have in western europe. Concession stands, quality bathrooms, VIP treatment, restaurants, etc…
Only like the blue shirts, should have gone with the traditional white away shirt and retained the 'Euro' shirts from last season which was a darker blue
I wouldn't say Dinamo will have an easy time with Neftchi, as you mentioned this same club lost to Sheriff, and Neftchi are another one of these clubs with oil money. I expect Dinamo to progress, but it win't be easy
Modric demands out. I am really starting to despise Tottenham by the day. I was never a fan but now they are running there team like they are world beaters. You know damn well Modric was a man of his word and he should know better than to trust that dirty English garbage by the word. Put it in your contract and this isn't a problem but now since you believe the word of what he said you will have to pay for it sadly.
Tottenham has become a cancer to our NT. I can't imagine another Croat going there for a while after this is all done and resolved. The asking price on the players is as if Tottenham are 10 world team…Kranjcar forced to stay and Modric forced to stay…Corluka will ride the bench all year and Modric is being threatened to ride the bench…the funny thing is Tottenham feel as if Modric owes them something…they knew they needed 4th place to keep there best players and if they cant do it they will all leave. Tottenham will finally go back to being a miserable midtable english team and next season they will part ways with VdV and Bale at the very least.
Quick Update (Off Topic),

Srna plays the full match in a 4-0 win over Obolon to open the Ukrainian season. Eduardo not listed on Shakhtar squad.
Vukojevic receives a yellow as Dynamo draw 1-1 vs. Metalist.
Bijela boja je najbolja!
The light blue jersey is the greatest home jersey I've seen since I dawned one back in 1984. I absolutely have fallen in love with it. Puma nailed it, screw Diadora. However, the two away jerseys are complete shit.
the new shirts are ok, but i personally like the diadora branded shirts better. The mainstream brands all look the same, puma, adidas, and nike, thats why its just a coincidence that it resembles tottenhams last seasons kit, they just recycle the designs. That is the reason i prefer the smaller companys, you get more originality in kit design. Speaking of originality, denis keep the hair if you like it, dont conform because others tell you.
Niko Kranjcar linked to Fiorentina,
"Tottenham have reported interest in its Croatian midfielder Niko Kranjcar to Fiorentina on an estimated €12 million move."
Pletikosa flies to Glasgow for trial with Celtic.
We should have a poll:
Haircut yes/no
Just when it couldnt get any worse for Josip Mikulić the 25 year old, former NK Zagreb defender, picked up a 90th minute red card for Chicago Fire….. FROM THE BENCH.. against the Galaxy tonight
Denis, I'm afraid I have to agree with Mishko – get a haircut!
All these Dinamo fans are so sensitive. What is it with you guys?
As long as you dont "release the hounds" on me I'll be ok. Haircut will come once I get a few $$$ shot my way.
Denis you keep bashing Dinamo I'm going to gut punch you and then give you a proper hair cut so you look respectable you damn hippy. 🙂
The light blue jersey looks alright, the others are crap. They just don't spell out DINAMO…
Where can I get my dragi a light blue top (he'll probably read this soon) -future mrs ante b
I like that third kit. Take off that Dinamo patch and you're good to go.
Lets see how the locals react to this "facelift". "Irrigation system under the pitch and a heating system to keep it from freezing" sounds great!
the light blue jerseys are great. The other two are average.
I doubt they made new luxury suites (nothing luxurious about them). Probably added some fresh paint. This is a cosmetic improvement, still does not change the fact that place is a pit. I'm sure there is not much that has been done to aid in the comfort of a fan. Probably still using portable toilets.
Ha, the fist thing I thought when I saw these was, wow, 3rd kit looks like Tottenham's kit! They're realllly nice though. Got to get one for myself.
Also, It was a little more than a "little" face lift. They also installed an irrigation system under the pitch and a heating system to keep it from freezing. They rebuilt the concourses and made new luxury suits as well.
I love these shirts, they finally ditched diadora and these are excellent 😀
