Dinamo fail to hold onto a 2-0 2nd half lead and DRAW Monaco 2-2 on a rainy night in Zagreb in Champions League.
Petar Sučić and Martin Baturina both scored with fantastic goals! Baturina rocketed a shit from 20 yards out to put Dinamo up 2-0. He was voted MOTM with a 8.7 rating.
45′: GOOOOOALLL!!! Dinamo catches Monaco on a 90-yard counter. Baturina finds a wide open Petar Sučić on the far side. Sučić cooly dances in the box, makes the Monaco defender miss, and calmly chips the ball into the back of the net. 1-0 Dinamo going into halftime!
The pitch at Maksimir is completely water-logged and the ball is not traveling well on the ground. Dinamo have had their chances and could have scored in the first 10 minutes. Let’s see how the 2nd half goes with it completely pouring rain in Zagreb.

Might look in a couple weeks again. Jebi ga.
Pogba 4 yr ban down to 18 mos
Vuskovic 2 yrs up to 4 yrs
Something is off
As Anonymous has mentioned before
Vuskovic could be a #9 (almost Zlatan-like)
2nd goal today shows that once again
Hopefully Budimir, Igor, etc watch the video of the goal and try to emulate next time they are on the field
Yo Dalic –
U sure u still happy w/ ur decision of Prpic on stand-by instead of Luka Vuskovic (future captain of the National Team) ?
lol
Hats off to nose-pickers for that decision
Prpic hasn’t been doing too bad not sure what your issue is with that guy. The other problem is that Vuskovic is still too young. In all probability Dalic is scouting him but doesn’t want to make the decision based on age. Then again neither does Tottenham who is waiting till he is older to play him in their squad.
Now, Dalic has shown that he is a bit too overprotective of the youth. In fairness to your point Vuskovic is showing great potential and that he will be a great player when the time comes. However, I think Dalic is heavily reliant on experience, right or wrong in most cases it seems to be working.
And to be honest you need to quit with this nose picker comment lol. What is with that? Lol.
Think about the experience a 17-year-old would have on the repka too. Remember in 2016 when Ante Ćorić had to spend the whole tournament hanging out with Ante Čačić? No wonder the kid became addicted to video games! Dalić’s greatest strength is understanding his players as people, and for all we know, he may have already discussed this matter with Vušković. Vuško does not need to be there sitting on the bench instead of training with other guys his age.
Vuskovic
9.8 Sofascore (!!!!!)
9.2 FOTMOB
Frigan
7.0 Sofascore
7.1 FOTMOB
Devine
7.1 Sofascore
7.0 FOTMOB
Whole stadium is chanting “Luka ! Luka ! Luka !”
Vuskovic was partly responsible for 2-1 goal (he weirdly dinked it instead of properly clearing it) – but rushed to net to grab the ball and get re-start going (than there was a VAR check)
BUT
3 minutes later he takes responsibility top of box – does a 1-2 with Frigan – and scores top-corner while he’s falling down
This taking responsibility after falling behind 2-1 – he’s a future captain for Croatia and Tottenham – this is on level of Luka Modric taking responsibility

Marco Pasalic gets the call up.
Bradaric rare start Verona today
Today
Labrovic / Jakic starting 2:30pm
Vuskovic / Frigan 2:45pm
I continue to be pretty impressed with DCC, great on him getting out of a terrible situation and turning things around
He looks great for us, and he’s doing well at Lyon.
He’s always had good dribbling and long ball passing talent. Also good for headers.
He was always just a tad too slow and undisciplined defensively (leading to a lot of ‘kiks’ moments). But the speed can be mitigated with good positioning and smarts, and it looks like he’s gotten smarter over time and developed that part of his game with experience.
Igor 1st half
Frankfurt up 2-0
Very important hold-up play by Igor deep in offensive half a la Harry Kane
He got fouled 4-5 times doing this (where he ended up rolling around the pitch trying to get players booked)
One of these fouls lead to free kick that led to 2nd goal
Also 2 important headers/blocks in defence area
Going forward Marmoush is focal point – and likes to do everything himself (and not really pass it to anyone)
One niggle – in 12′ min Igor headed the ball in the box onwards to a winger – who had a chance but defender kicked the ball away – Igor put his hands on his head (u know in disbelief) – the problem was ball was still in play and another Frankfurt player picked it up and fired a shot on goal – Igor needs to stop the hands on the head stuff (he took himself out of the play for 2 seconds, instead of being switched on, as the play wasn’t dead yet)
Otherwise strong play overall from him in 1st half – he definitely deserves to be on field – Frankfurt keeper (6’5” 21 y.o. Brazilian Santos) also made at least 4 really good saves (1 was a beautiful save on a penalty that was going into the corner) – Frankfurt also lucky as Germany int’l CB Robin Koch almost got a red card on Immobile in 8′ as he was the last man – but VAR called the play off-side on Immobile so they rescinded what would have otherwise been a red card
Igor starting w Marmoush and 32 yo Mario gotze
Franjo ivanovic starting – no Ghanaian fusieni next to him this time unfortunately 🙁
Fuseini serving out red card suspension from previous CL round

Kramaric and satulo both starting
17 yo Mikey Moore gets his first start for Spurs finally !!!
As does 18 yos archie grey and Lucas bergvahl
Sorry – also first cap for 19 yo striker will lankshear
Zvonarek came on at 82 minutes for Sturm Graz against Brugge.
I watched from the point he came into the game. He played about 12 minutes, there was four minutes of extra time. He had only a few touches of the ball. He set up one Sturm opportunity. He worked hard, came back well defensively, e.g. running one attacking Brugge player down over 30-40 yards, stealing the ball, and moving it back upfield. But not much to report….overall Zvonarek, who won’t turn 20 until May 2025, was steady in the midfield in this Champions League game.
Brugge 1-0 over Sturm.
Spurs new boy Solenke called up to England
First (and only cap) was back in 2017 in a friendly

Dalic called up 25 initially (plus standbys)
Euro 2024 squad size was 26 (an increase from 23)
Not sure squad size for Nations League fixtures
The best thing about the Marco Pasalic call up
Is there there has NOT been an injury announced to someone else
i.e. they usually announce so and so is injured and has to withdraw (and a day or two later replacement announced)
This is a straight call-up – i.e. increase squad size – so pretty sure someone will have to be sent home from the original list (unless he didn’t call the max first time around)
Did anyone watch Moro vs. Liverpool y’day ? (if someone is sent home it would likely be someone played y’day, Wed, Tues CL/Europa, etc – where Dalic didn’t like what he saw – as opposed to last weekend, as he wouldn’t wait till Thursday as Marco hasn’t played since Sunday)
DALIC CS.COM BURNER ACCOUNT CONFIRMED AGAIN
DALIC FINALLY SWALLOWED HIS PRIDE AND CALLED UP MARCO PASALIC !!!!!!!!!

I love rog assist..the way he drove through pass several defenders and made a split passing to baturina for 2nd goal is amazing. We need such players for NT
Rog pjaca coric are called up for NT in euro 2016 previously. Fyi
I can see Rog still coming into his own. There are just few players with so much relentless aggression in how they play. He was excellent in 2016 for that very reason, and if he recovers from his injuries the way Pjaca has, he can still be very good. Remember, Cagliari only loaned him to Dinamo while he recovers from his last injury. He could be headed back to Serie A soon.
“Rocketed a shit from 20 yards out.” Impressive!
that’s what u call explosive diarrhea
Shame that Dinamo ended up with a draw.
Three biggest positives of the game…
#1. Baturina is going to be a star. Whatever weaknesses people thought he had (pressing, defense, physical nature) was put to rest today.
#2. Sucic further solidified his position as a future National Team player. Fantastic finish under pressure.
#3. Nenad Bjelica has bounced back and re-established himself as one of our top coaches and there’s potential for him to one day take over the National Team coaching position.
1. No
2. No
3. Yes
NO on the first two items?
But a YES on the third (and probably most contentious) item?
Fantastic finish by Sucic. First the fake on the defender with his right then the chip with his left. Suker in his best days finish.
Baturina fantastic today. Showed why he is a top player today all over the field with a fantastic goal and nice assist. Dinamo was in cruise control up until the mistake by Nevistic then some questionable reffing at the end of the game. The French guy for Dinamo with a stupid challenge for the pk
Great goal from Baturina
Uefa mafia strikes again, dinamo robbed
Ref was shit but the penalty was deserved. And the Petkovic thing in the box, he fouled the Monaco guy first. Goalie error on the first goal is why they tied, not the ref.
Petar Sucic, baturina, petko start
Moro start – erlic bench (someone pls watch report back Moro vs Liverpool)
Modric bench (thx god for load management)
Zvonerek, grgic bench
Watford vs Preston North
20 yo Antonio Tikvic on watford bench (think this is first time on bench for a non-cup game – mostly playing for reserves still)
Vs chewy Osmajic (chewy = Suarez’d player in the neck last game)
Ivor Pandur aka the Pink Panther
Highlights match y’day

Cyprus league is a joke (especially for a 29 yo keeper – would be different if he was young – and we don’t need another 29 yo w Livakovic) – Cyprus is ranking #123 by FIFA – they have never qualified for a World Cup nor a Euro – for Euro 2024 – Cyprus lost all eight matches they played
Cyprus vs. Championship (which is the most highlight scouted league in the world, by far)
Largest transfer out of Cyprus league ever as EUR 3 m for Maksimovic
Largest transfer into Cyprus league ever was EUR 2m for Manea
vs.
Largest transfer out of Championship ever as EUR 63 m for Lavia
Largest transfer into Championship ever was EUR 19m for Tresor
Who cares what Halilovic did or didn’t do in the Championship – that’s on him
Even moreso playing for the 1st place team that is relatively stacked – there is a reason England #1 Pickford plays for Everton (which every year could be relegated if not for him) – it’s bc he’s always active / getting shots / while being exposed w/ relatively week players in front of him
Playing for a first place team and facing a couple shots on target every game (esp. against teams mid-table or below) is not particularly challenging
Not to mention he let in EIGHT goals over two legs in Europa League 1st round – so they got dropped to the Mickey Mouse Conference League (it’s not a real competition – nobody takes it seriously – just a competition for left-over teams so UEFA can make more $$$ – save of course Chelsea – who btw haven’t included Cole Palmer in their squad for that – as they don’t see it as a serious competition)
So I’m afraid there is no logical argument that Cyprus > Championship
I like that Pandur has had to face adversity and fight hard for his place – very good progress over the last couple of years – he of course has to continue performing well – if he continues performing as he did last game – you could see him get transferred into Premier League next season (probably as a back-up / depth for a mid/lower table team) – nobody is going to buy Ivusic out of Cyprus
My point is Dalic / nose-pickers should keep open mind on keepers – neither Ivusic nor Kotarski should be guaranteed #2 and #3 just bc they are lazy (and if someone legitimate comes around that can challenge for #1 position – we should also be open to take – Livakovic is good – but not world-class)
No one said Cyprus is a better league than the Championship. I said Greek super league has about five very strong teams with experienced players who are on that top-five league level.
1-1 Rapid vs. Başakşehir after 45 min
