As it turns out, Dinamo Zagreb kept it interesting after leading the match 3-0 by the 22nd minute to advance to the playoff round of the Champions League despite drawing 3-3 (agg 4-4)
Dinamo were able to advance on the away-goal tie breaker after Molde FK scored three goals in the second half to tie the match.
Marko Pjaca broke the scoreless draw in the 17th minute to give the Modri a 1-0 lead.
Their determination lead to a second goal by Arijen Ademi only minutes later, and again a goal from Marko Rog, who scored only two more minutes later.
Dinamo’s goalkeeper, Eduardo shone brightly as well, saving a penalty shot in the first half as well as facing another penalty that missed the net.
The Norwegians refused to be discouraged by a three-goal deficit were able to score one of their own in the 43rd minute.
Dinamo were perhaps too comfortable with their two-goal lead heading into the second half and sloppily awarded Molde a third penalty in the game; this time, the home team were able to capitalize on the opportunity and made the score 3-2.
The 72nd minute gave a glimmer of relief to Dinamo after Molde’s top scorer, Ola Kamara, was sent off with his second yellow card, but it only gave Molde more determination to score and tied the match at 3-3 in the 75th minute.
A draw was in favor of Dinamo since the tie breaker was on their side, but the Modri kept it closer than it needed to be and narrowly advanced to the playoff round of the Champions League.

Will I stick it to Kvartuc for a 6th straight season? Stay tuned.
@Poglavnik…….I’m in tune with everything and anything related to Cro. As we celebrate Oluja and hrvatstvo and view the media coverage, the other side of the story are the serbs. They bitch and complain and bitch some more. Just telling you what Partizan is doing today. Nothing more, nothing less. Just like the fine folks over at Fox News, I comment, you decide.
@Mark……..don’t know if I should be honored that you approve. This is never about posting the most popular items where usually the majority is wrong, it is about being honest with the readers and visitors to this site.
I encourage all of you who live the “za dom….spremni” lifestyle to reach out to those non-Croat speaking diaspora hrvati and explain the meaning of what today means to all of us hrvati.
Sretan vam dan pobjede i domovinske zahvalnosti!
Love how Ziva’s in tune with Partizan’s pre-match itinerary.
@Ziva
Bravo. Finally a post from you that didn’t make me roll my eyes.
If people are going to talk shit in Croatian they should at least use right grammar. This is not aimed at you ante. Your Croatian is superb.
Tik tak tik tak tik tak…
Mamicu znaj blizi ti se kraj
Odjebi ‘doli’ i vise se ne vracaj
Great accomplishment to make it to champions league, well deserved Dinamo.

bravo Dinamo, samo naprid
A how about the city of Split’s other favorite team – Partizan??????
They plan to have a minute of silence before tomorrow’s game against Steau Bucharest. Now, if you were a hrvat playing for Steau tomorrow, what would you do during the minute of silence?
Europski dinamo has been very fortunate so far to play shit teams that are not even Europa League group quality.
Next round will tell us good Europski dinamo really is.
Any bets for Thursday’s game with jadan, mali i nemocan hajduk? I can easily see them getting croatian mental midget syndrome and shitting the bed.
Anyone read anything about how many – if any – fans of a jadan, mali i nemocan hajduk are expected in Norway?
@Ziva Istina
Don’t be trypical diaspora.
Not sure where you hang your hat, but the diaspora in Southern Ontario are VERY much in tune with your reference to Oluja and many things Croatian….typically, your references to the ignorance of the diaspora leave me scratching my head as this diaspora is very much able to order breakfast, lunch and dinner in CRO in Croatian, drinks when required and to give someone shit when the need arises.
Dinamo came out guns blazin’ Oluja Style! But Man, that was one helluva roller-coaster ride!! If they keep this up, I might be on blood pressure medication in no time.
And Now it’s time for Hajduk to finish off the One-Two Combo against the Vikings.
Well done Dinamo. On to champions league.
Coric’s first touch of the ball was a give away leading to the equalizing goal
3-3
The first was questionable, not much to debate on the 2nd and 3rd.
3 penalties….so far
Never a doubt for Europski dinamo as we celebrate Oluja. No chance they would fall on the 20th anniv. celebration.
Now many of you may be asking, “what is “Oluja”?”. I hope not, but if you are that is clear sign that your parents/relatives/people of influence have failed you. Just reach out to someone who knows. Don’t be trypical diaspora.
On a day like today and tomorrow, we need to celebrate being a hrvat and everything that binds us.
