Dinamo lineup vs. Feyenoord: Moharrami, Lauritsen, Theophile, Gvardiol – Ademi, Jakić – Kastrati, Majer, Ivanušec, Petković
Dinamo is on an absolute tear in Europa League this season and posted their fifth consecutive clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Feyenoord Thursday night. With the win, Dinamo are guaranteed top spot in their group and will now play in the Round of 32 next year. The reigning Croatian champions will finish out group play next week in a “friendly” when they host Nikola Vlašić and CSKA Moscow at Maksimir.
Dinamo have been gritty on defense and have managed to score at optimal times in their games, killing all of their opponents’ momentum. Gvardiol looked fantastic at left-back against Feyenoord doing his part defensively while running up the wings to help out the Dinamo offense. We all need to be pretty excited about Gvardiol moving forward. Remember, he was purchased by RB Leipzig already and will move to Germany next season.
Petković landed his penalty for Dinamo and Majer added some insurance. Now the Modri will be returning to the knockout stage for the second time in three years.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
Lots can still happen in Europa League Group K for Dinamo Zagreb, but one thing is certain, the Croatian champs can book a place in the Europa League Round of 32 and top the group with a victory over Dutch side Feyenoord Thursday night in Holland.
Dinamo have yet to conceded a goal in their first four group stage matches and are in prime position to play in Europe past the new year for the second time in three seasons as they were bounced by Benfica in the Round of 16 in 2019 after an extra time affair.
A win gets Dinamo in but so can another result by default. If CSKA Moscow/Wolfsberger ends in a draw, Dinamo book their ticket to the knockout round no matter what happens in the Netherlands. Croatia #1 keeper Dominik Livaković has been solid in goal during Europa League play after having blunders for Croatia v. Portugal and Dinamo v. Osijek last month.
Dinamo are expected to field a strong team to counter Feyenoord at home, who will likely play aggressive ball as a draw may not be their friend on the night. Lineups will be posted an hour before kickoff. Expect the usual suspects to make the team: Livaković, Petković, Ademi, Majer, Gvardiol, Majer.
Let’s hope he doesn’t go down the pjaca unlucky train
Yea, I’m gonna give him a pass for now based on the fact that he had both mono and COVID, and his game with us was his first game in months (he hasn’t even played yet for his club yet).
.
He needs to get back to full form. This season might be a waste for him despite his excellent start with Wolfsburg. He’s in their lineup, but will probably take months to get back to how he was.
.
Mono took away quite some time from Ante Rebić when he caught it, and it kinda sidelined his career for a bit too.
Pongračić was lucky enough to catch both mono and COVID, lol. Fuckin guy.
Pongracic is on lack of focus alert. Not sure the kid knows soccer is about winning. 2 examples:
1)Watching him flirt with the Swedish forwards was weird. Good thing he plays for Wolfsburg, cause maybe one day he’ll wear the captain’s armband…but seriously kids making NT debuts should look like they care about winning a little.
2)When he tried to push upfield I thought, “oh cool a CB who can attack a bit.” ….but watching him walk back after pushing upfield in his competitive debut, then squib a pathetic backpass that got intercepted for a breakaway, I thought, “who the fuck does he think he is? Strinic?”…I literally have never seen any of our greatest CBs, you know likes of Lovren, Vida, R Kovac, Tudor, and Skoric, do that ONCE!
Looking forward to the Bradarić, Gvardiol, Ćaleta-Car, Pongračić foursome one day.
Our best still do this day was the Bilic and stimac combination
And that’s telling you something ain’t it
He was the most talented…
Doesn’t mean he was the best.
.
Robert Kovač was our best.
I agree Suba.
For some reason Juve thought he was going to be something.
Tudor was overrated
His performance at euro 04 was perfect example
Yup.
.
Tudor was our biggest talent back there. Unfortunately, he suffered from the same KIKS syndrome as guys like Lovren and Šimunić do.
Can’t believe Gvardiol’s born in ’02.
When’s the last time we had a great young prospect on the back line? Igor Tudor?
Lol, nobody is saying Mamić should be NT coach.
.
We’re just saying that there is a possibility, since he’s Dinamo coach and they’re doing well in Europa (and if you give a Mamić even a half-chance, they’ll take full advantage).
.
I don’t think it would happen though.
Srbi na vrbi
If that is the case
Dalic holds onto his job in my view
All you fuckers bringing up the topic the Zoran mamic should be national coach ought to be shot
Disgraceful
Aiding and abetting at its best
^
The same way Modric escaped perjury charges.
All this talk of Zoran concerns me
He is an opportunist just like his older brother
How has he escape any corruption charges
He was his brothers accomplice at all times
I don’t think Dalic is going start both Lovren and Vida. It seems pretty clear to me he has Caleta Car as a starter to be paired with one of Lovren, Vida and Pongracic with it most likely being Lovren. Pongracic getting mono really screwed him, if he was able to play in the nations league he could’ve beaten out Lovren.
Dalic takes too long to integrate the young stars into the backline…
decides to stick with Lovren/Vida for the March WC qualifiers…
Cro loses or draws a couple of games…
HNS panics and debates whether to fire him or not…
Zoran Mamic sees an opportunity, and rides his Dinamo success wave to usurp Dalic of the National Team heading coaching position…
.
.
Tell me this has zero chance of happening 🙂
Dalics approach is that loyalty will bring him continued success which is great but there comes a time for veteran to ask themselves is I am just hanging around too long
Maminjo
Well that is going to be Dalic eventual downfall
Step up Bjelica
I watched Athletic Bilbao today and they were ordinary.
Unfortunately, we might have to sit through one more tournament of veterans taking too long to move on.
.
I don’t know if Dalic would take the risk of sitting both Lovren and Vida for the Euros.
One will likely play, possibly both.
.
We will get bounced in the Round of 16 with those two starting, in front of a questionable Livakovic.
Saw caleta car play today
He looked very solid and actually quite good on the ball
Question is who lines up with him at the euros
Maybe Gvardiol
Let’s promote into the first team right now
Please let’s not entertain Zoran being izbornik
Not a good look
Gvardiol is quite dynamic for a defender. He’s strong, fast and has good skills. He doesn’t panic and he does well going forward. I’m really interested to see how he develops…he could end up being a very good player.
@Dannyj
Yea I think so.
RB Leipzig is a good team, and if he becomes a starter there it’s hard to justify any of our other guys over him.
Vida, Lovren play for solid clubs but Leipzig is better and Gvardiol is trending upward and the two of them downward.
We have good young group of defenders coming up in Gvardiol, Pongracic, Bradaric and Caleta-Car. The sooner we get rid of the old guard, the better.
Is gvardiol good nuff to crack repka next year?
Zoran doing better than expected
Maybe call back livaja too
He scored recently too
Great. Now Dalic is gonna call up Duje Cop again. 😉
Yeah, he smoked the woodwork.
I can’t believe that nobody has praised Rebic’s assist. What a touch of class, extremely high soccer IQ.
Vizinger also had a nice goal. We should keep an eye on him.
Did anyone see duje cops goal for liege
Ouch ????
Hope he has had his kids already
OK I’m wrong there frigin pagan godless satan spawn!!
@Canuckcro
Serbs are not Christian you Canadian fool.
Yeah Gvardiol had a great game yesterday, what a bull.
Always looking to go forward, which is a rare quality.
His forward pass at the 45+3rd minute led to the penalty, while most of the players – especially 18yo – would have played it safe.
Hottest prospect that we had in years.
Looked up redstar belgrade..or cz..2 players with 2 citizenships.cro and possible chetnici…Zoran popovic and stefan hajdin..just saying .They also have 2 blacks play in for the commy named team..look how serbs treated fellow Christian whites..so these 2 poor sernac..must really need a nickel over the horrific taunting by other belgrade team..is it worth it playing in the most barbaric backward landlocked gypsy colony..I don’t know just sayin.
Looks like Red Bull Leipzig might trigger a clause for them to bring Gvardiol to their club even sooner.
.
It’s a good sign that Leipzig is willing to drop cash to shorten his Dinamo loan season and bring him in sooner.
.
I’d rather he stay for the year finish out his season at Dinamo.
.

@ARMADA
Yup.
Dinamo is a seeded team, and Zvezda are not.
Per UEFA website…
Seeded teams
12 group winners
4 UEFA Champions League third-placed sides
Unseeded teams
12 group runners-up
4 UEFA Champions League third-placed sides
How the draw will work:
The clubs will be split into two pots, with the 12 group winners and the four best third-ranked teams in the UEFA Champions League group stage all seeded.
The seeded teams are at home in the second legs.
No team can play a club from their UEFA Europa League group or a side from the same national association.
Further restrictions will be confirmed before the draw.
Can Dinamo draw CZ in a knockout game???
Was he playng LB all game?
What a performance from Gvardiol today. Not only were his tackles wonderful, but he proved he could dribble the ball up the pitch like a winger. His first touch is gorgeous and his vision is quite nice as well. I’m so excited to see him play
ooops, that was me above
I was happy to see Dinamo get this win and to go through the first games without conceding a single goal, thats a damn good record and earned them $7.7 million euros…not bad!
last night I watched a documentary on Youtube about Dinamo’s academy, its very professional and structured. I recommend people watch it.
Congrats to Rijeka on getting a tie vs a very good Spanish team…well done!
Maminjo, Gvardiol played well and looks food when he pushes forward. I can’t wait to see how he develops.
In any Mamic I trust!
The only bad news about Dinamo doing so well despite having a weaker squad than last year is that it gives Zoran Mamic justification to become NT coach.
.
That would be bad news, and this coming from a guy who calls himself Maminjo online
@BZ
There is no real position for a bull in a chinashop.
Miloš Hvar
.
Russian League is ranked right behind French League (sixth overall in UEFA).
.
It’s odd that CSKA is doing poorly in Europa, but we see this in Europa a lot lately.
Rebic wins! 9 wins 3 draws 0 losses without Ibrahimovic.
Rebic is so good you can play him out of position, and he still can lead a team to victory. Guy creates space for everybody on the team. Winning soccer.
@Maminjo-going full Ziva. Short term Livakovic pain, for long-term NT gain. I had same thought, but the adequate goalie search may go on in perpetuity.
Petkovic scores!!!!!!!! I jest, but given how excited everyone gets about Kramaric’s PGs, it isonly fair to give Petkovic props too.
Speaking of, Kramaric lays a dud vs a low tier Europa league team.
looking really good for Dinamo right now.. up 2-0. CSKA is down 0-1 to Wolfsberger and in real danger of bottoming out the group. Pretty pathetic by them. They are having a good year in Russia too, tied on points with Zenit at the top i believe. Is the Russian league really that bad? Zenit awful in CL as well. Vlasic needs to go to a stronger league soon. Summer transfer window by the latest. Plenty of teams that could use him going into the spring.
BECAR,
.
Might be better for us if he completely chokes.
.
Forces Dalic to review his goalkeepers a bit better than to simply give it to the better Hajduk or Dinamo keeper.

Pretty impressive
While I’ll be cheering Dinamo on, for me, the most important thing is for Livakovic to have a good outing. He’s in desperate need of regaining some confidence.
