DINAMO (4-1-4-1): Livaković – Moharrami, Šutalo, Theophile, Franjić – Mišić – Menalo, Ivanušec, Ademi, Oršić – Petković
Dinamo Zagreb could have locked up a Europa League knockout stage berth with a win over Genk Thursday night at Maksimir. Instead, they will now have to wait until the last match of group stage in December against West Ham. A draw against an already qualified West Ham in London will see Dinamo through OR a Rapid Wien win/draw versus Genk.
Dinamo controlled the 1st Half and opened up the scoring when Theophile-Catherine sent a perfect long ball from his own half to a scorching Luka Menalo down the field. Menalo would split the defense on the break-away, take one touch off his torso, and poke the ball through for a 1-0 Dinamo lead. However, Dinamo would concede in 1st half injury time when Genk’s Ike Ugbo hot a perfect shot under the crossbar to beat Livaković following a corner. Genk were the better side in the 2nd half but the match would end 1-1.
