HNS President Davor Šuker and Croatian manager Ante Čačić were in Los Angeles this weekend in preparation of Croatia’s friendly match against Mexico at the Los Angeles Coliseum on May 27th. CroatianSports asked Šuker what this game means for future Croatian friendlies around the globe and where the state of Croatian football stands today.
When asked how much luck plays in winning a major tournament, Šuker stated that “it’s the last thing you need” while manager Ante Čačić said “you absolutely need to have it in order to win.”
This will be the first time Croatia plays in North America with the game being organized by Soccer United Marketing, an extension of the MLS to organize and grow the ‘beautiful game’ inside the United States. CroatianSports would like to also extend our appreciation to Professional Soccer Network for its assistance in facilitating this exclusive interview for Croatian fans across the globe.
10,000 Croatians are expected for the game in Los Angeles which will basically be a home game for Mexico. Expect a sea of green with 50-60,000 Mexicans showing up for this match.
Have you guys seen this listed of players not coming! Just published on goal
Basically everyone is not coming
It is filed with no names from the first division – very sad
Time to sell the tickets for face value and spend the day looking at furniture with the wife
Brutal
A betrayal? Very interesting, and cannot be easily dismissed!
This would suggest that Denis and Ante are no longer friends though, and if they’re no longer friends then that would mean their friendship was only incidental and for the sake of utility, and this kind of friendship easily ceases, if one of the parties is no longer useful.
Judas betrayed Jesus….is Denis our modern day Jesus?
@Anonymous
Ante Kvartuc just put up nice thank you to Denis, where he has said that the door is always open for him to return to Croatian Sports.com, and when we consider that it was Denis that resigned, what more can Ante do?
Let’s say for arguments sake they’re no longer friends, well then they would do well to remember what Saint Jerome said in his Letter to Rufinus the Monk, which was,
“The friendship which can cease has never been real.”
If there friendship wasn’t real, what was it?
Lazio:
“I’m sure Denis and Ante are still friends…”
What makes you so sure? I think it’s pretty obvious this didn’t end amicably…
I told Serbians they wouldn’t have won the Champions League without Robert Prosinecki and that Macedonian player they get angry.
@ Soul Champ:
Well said.
I’m not sure what the incentive to give a cookie cutter friendly interview to Suker would be.
I don’t know the site’s particulars, but I’m guessing that any ad revenue is generated by click counts.
A less pragmatic approach and a tougher interview would definitely generate more interest, but I’m sure access would not have been granted under those parameters.
@Maminjo et al- Suker’s unity comment is clearly a reference to the generation of young players who aren’t willing to play a lesser role. I was surprised he did not add:And so, my fellow Croatians: ask not what your country can do for you–ask what you can do for your country
@Soul Champ- always uniting. You are a good man.
@ Denis
Thank you for 10 years of leadership in bringing the Prva Generacija together.
I look forward to buying you a beer sometime when I am in Cali or you are in NYC or we are in Dalmacija.
Sign off video was authentic.
Vision alignment is key.
Not sure what you or Ante do for jobs ?
It seems Ante would like to parlay this project into a career or a viable business ?
If this is the case the evolution of CSR to CS and beyond needs to continue to expand.
Being an out and out Homer that I am, I feel sad when Hrvati can’t come to a new understanding together.
We all have family all over Croatia who don’t speak to each other over land, money and who makes the best pršut ?
Sports are a multi BILLION dollar business. I have been around the under belly of grassroots basketball and it is not pretty.
I do how ever believe in creating a viable money maker with ethics in the domain of sport that serves the community.
CS has that potential.
My wife is due in the early June with our third child.
So I cannot make the Croatia scrimmage with Mexico in LA.
I was more excited for CS involvement then the actual match.
Hoping to see an Denis/Ante full circle broadcast from the Alpine to the LA Colesuem.
ŠTETA …
Sve najbolje Brate.
@Maminjo
True, there was no prolific striker for Portugal, but what Portugal had was a champion team, a very disciplined team.
Portugal like to play a counter attacking game, which Cacic knew beforehand.
Right before Portugal scored we were attacking, which opens us up for a counter attack. Where were our midfielders when Sanches recieved the ball on his own? They were all upfield, just like Poglavnik says Strinic was. Strinic got stripped of the ball and the counter attack was on. Who do you reckon should’ve been keeping an eye on Sanches?
Like I’ve been saying all along Portugal is better than Croatia. We know Portugal won, Croatia lost, but what if we played a more attacking game? More opportunity for Portugal to counter (and we saw what they did with their last counter attack, and possibly there only real counter attacking opportunity in the game, I can’t remember?), I would still say Portugal win, Croatia lose.
To put the whole blame on Strinic for the loss is rather simplistic, you know football is a team game!
Like him or hate him, Šuker maybe has a point.
It is true that we as a nation are never united and this wont help.
And, winning a world up is definitely a long shot, no minnows have won it right? Just think, a country such as Germany, they will make the Semi almost every time, it’s almost a certain bet. We have a long way to go.
Granted the Euros have had Greece, Denmark and Portugal win it. But the ultimate prize is the World Cup.
As for my personal views of Suker, I liked him as a player, and loved how he went to visit Pavelics groblje… Pravi Hrvat.
Difficult to assess his role for HNS without all the details. For all his supposed shiftyness, he possibly achieves a lot of success in different ways, all of us cannot understand.
Agree, we didn’t learn anything in the interview though.
The most important thing is coaching and make the right decision to conduct well power mentality as they willing to forget their status in respetive clubs. have a guts to make early subtitution as he spotted a player whose contributes are less. another thing like benching a player who’s play bad recently either in club or national team.
Btw, who was the Šukerman prolific striker that carried Portugal their trophy this past summer?
Was it Eder?
I don’t think that’s why Šuker laughed.
He laughed because winning a World Cup as a small country is almost impossible and he brought up the 98 success as something that we should be happy with.
This is a loser’s mentality. There are 11 players on the field. Our 11 players can match with any other team’s 11 players.
He can be satisfied with a third place finish almost 20 years ago… I won’t.
I’m sure that Denis and Ante are still friends, it just seems that Ante has changed the vision of what this site was supposed to be, and Denis can’t work in that environment, hence to save the friendship Denis has decided to resign, this is a good decision from Denis.
My favourite part of the Suker interview was when he was explaining what you need to achieve some beautiful result like they did in ’98! You need “power, unity” and a striker banging in more goals than the others, like Sukerman did in ’98!
Maminjo, I think that’s why Suker was laughing when Ante asked what we need to win some trophy. Suker knows that this team is no where near it. Where the ’98 team had Suker, this current team has our LB, LW defensive striker Mandzukic, and we all know how many goals he scored in the last qualifying and Euro ’16 campaigns! It was 1 goal in qualifying and none at the Euros in 3 games. Kalinic had 1 goal at the Euros, and mind you that was without Modric pulling the strings and dictating the tempo in midfield, like he did against Portugal.
You guys are taking all this shit too seriously.
Comparing this to some sort of Za Dom Spremni battle?
What is this? The battle of Siget?
It’s just a sports website.
The best one to get Cro Sports updates, proven by the fact that news portals from Croatia visit this site for info…but just a sports website.
No reason for drama or fighting between pals.
…unless there’s actual money involved.
In that case, then you gotta cut that muthafuka up!
I was hoping he’d speak English like Baka
thats true Poglavnik…he was a good goalscorer
Still our best ever player!
As good as Prosinecki Boban and Modric are, none of them took their game to Suker’s level for the National Team.
Davor Suker looks like Lyle Lovett!
Is it just me or does Davor Suker in the main photo at the top look like the creepy drunk uncle who thinks he is still cool? Give the man the old school 90’s leather jacket that all the old wogs wore at Cro church….
“Uniting Croatia fans around the world”
Denis is the voice of reason and the considerate personality this website needed. he has a human side to him…humble and understanding, informative and reasonable…I think his personality spoke loud and clear…
I don’t know Denis. he and I had exchanged emails once and although I felt he was trying a bit too hard to be Mr Croatia/Dalmatinac, I thought he’s a pretty good dude!
I had no idea Kvartuc and his brother started this site. If you ask me, I thought it was Denis that ran this site because of the professionalism he’s always portrayed. If I had to choose one person on Croatian Sports.com as a person who’s been credible, fair and objective (except when its about Hajduk or dalmacija 😉 ) I’d easily say it was Denis. I believe he’s a man with great principle’s in real life, the guy always demonstrated he has values, his love for Croatia is not questionable, his tolerance for stupid people’s comments was pretty darn high.
Sviricic…you’re a special guy bro! I know I pissed in your cornflakes a few times and yet, you always treated me and everyone else here very fairly and well, that says a lot of your upbringing and character. your parents did a great job of raising a son who’s very loyal and loving of all things Croatian…and…you behave as if you respect Catholic values unlike some here that talk the talk but don’t treat people very well!
you will be missed Denis!
To be fair, they will im sure put the video on the site with an article written by Denis in due course. Anyone who is subscribed to the CSR YouTube knows that often videos are up there a day or two before an accompanying article is actually posted on the site so don’t get your knickers in a knot over that. I don’t think Denis is being censored and i look forward to his farewell article post which im sure is upcoming.
geez Denis 13th place in fantasy made you do this? All jokes aside, best wishes
It’s been a while since I’ve posted but as a person that personally knows all founders of this once great website (with the exception of Branimir) I feel as though I had to come back once more to express my feelings on this very sad situation.
Denis Svircic, your hard work, sweat and sleepless nights are very much appreciated throughout the years and the website will definitely feel your exit in the most rapid fashion. Good luck to you my friend I know this decision wasn’t easy for you.
On a final note, I’m really disappointed on the other founders not giving this man at least a respectful note of appreciation to 10 years of loyalty and commitment, knowing the past few years even though being a family man he still put in a remarkable amount of time to the website.
That’s my 2 cents, I feel as though I’ve earned the stripes to put them in as I supported this site hosting 2 watch parties and participated in the Vegas Cro vs Serb watch party.
Ante B, spot on brate! I agree 100% “do the right thing and put the video on the site”
nije bitno signing out
Bog i Hrvati, ZDS, HZV!!!
Do the right thing and put the video up on the site
Ante – good interview, considering the constraints. I have no interest in beating Suker down. I would love if we use this friendly to combat Fifa/Uefa…”so what if an idiotic Croatian fan threw a banana at an african migrant, we were called a Puto by 60thousand, in California ( the most lgbt friendly state in the Usa)”
Great interview Ante! Keep up the good work!
Solid interview Ante. Totally understand the situation. Hopefully, after the match they are willing to sit down and answer some tougher questions.
interesting how they are censoring denis. Why not post this video on the site?
Man the fake news is great this is more entertaining than a trump rally…
I’m blaming Mamic and Russians.
The split occurred because denis wanted to continue to operate under the moniker ziva istina to drum up visitors to the site but ante thought over the summer that the charade had gone far enough. It was time to pull the plug on the fake personality ziva istina. Subsequently, the sites visits and comments had gone down causing denis to push harder. But ante would not give in
I’ll admit that even i am sad to see denis resign. He might not always have lived a zds life but he did the best he could. His parents did not fail him as he speaks Croatian, and he attends church, allowing him to check two big boxes on the checklist.
Right next to that video was one of ante and denis back in the good old times with Oliver. They looked so happy together. Can we have some more details on what caused the falling out? This is not an uncommon occurrence. Frequently when hrvati from the hierarchy deal with those who are not, it can only last so long.
Denis Svircic Resigns from CroatianSports.com
https://tinyurl.com/kxeulk6
Google his name and a Youtube video pops up.
very sad to hear about Denis! thank you for everything man!!!
Denis resigned?
Was it just me or did ante address him as kum suker at one point? What was up with suker giving an interview while laying down. I thought denis was going to pop in next and start feeding him grapes
Sad day for the CSR nation.
Thanks Denis for all your hard work.
You will be missed..
Cuvaj se brate.
I can’t see any difference between Suker and Ante – they both complimented each other nicely on this PR opportunity.
Denis – still counting on you to address the topic soon.
Vatreni,
Your last post nailed it. I’m very sad about Svircic resigning 🙁
yeah better to kidnap this man and interrogate under the light that’s how Calciopoli has leaked in Italy back then.
Kvartuc,
you can ask harder questions, you just have to lead up to the question by stroking his ego and when you ask the tougher question, pretend you are uninformed…ie…”Davor, you are a legend to us diaspora and represent us all over the world…when people talk Croatia soccer, they first remember Davor Suker. Us diaspora read and hear tidbits of news from the savez and the Croatian league, but as you can imagine, we have no idea whats true and what isn’t…can you tell us….” (now ask the question you want)
overall it was interesting to see that you guys got an interview but it almost seems as if you were just happy to be there. serious journalists gain or lose credibility based on their types of questions and responses to the answers they get.
Undoubtedly a huge miss by ante. So what if your credentials are pulled and you never get another interview. You would’ve fired the shot heard round the hrvat world. To think of all those people who put country ahead of self during the war (in the end to simply benefit the hierarchy) and you wouldn’t live the zds life and make a sacrifice. On a side note, hierarchy always denies being hierarchy to the people
Was very disappointed to see Ante & Denis going their separate ways. Think we all know this interview was the crippling point. Denis wants justice and Suker to be called out for what he is- A legendary player who is now a puppet for Mamic. I definitely have to stand with Denis here because kissing Suker’s ass will allow continued access but Ante’s interview could have been a huge moment in Cro football if he was called out on their bullshit. Ante I hope you see the light and fight for justice instead of just access. The good fight is a much more noble cause.
Sad to see Denis resigned ;/
Denis resigned?
Soccer Muzzling is more like it.
@ante b
Those weren’t serious questions they were examples of what not to do……and your type of question is leading; asking someone why they think something is so presupposes that they already admitted to something and when he answers why it leads back to the same answer of asking directly
But at this point it’s semantics and all for the birds
The man has spoken and it was exactly what I assumed; promo.
And almost forgot.
Soccer United Marketing asked us to pull the Suker/Cacic question post. They did not want anyone to know they were in LA. They did not want anyone to know they were giving an interview. They did not like the questions being discussed.
They are watching us. Please be on your best behavior. 🙂
Gentlemen,
(especially @Ante B, and remember I have my Melrose mullet on as I type this 🙂
Soccer United Marketing (who is putting everything together for May 27th) agreed to an exclusive interview only to promote the Mexico v. Croatia game. Suker and Cacic were not available to answer any other questions. The organizers specifically asked me: “No Federation questions.” They also said this is the only interview they have ever given to a visiting coach/president while they do their one-month inspection before a match.
Croatian Sports motivation for this interview is to ensure that as many Croatians know about and attend this first ever appearance by the Croatian National Team in North America. I realize there are much more hard hitting questions that could have been asked, but I assure you, they would not have been answered during this interview. There is a lot of investment here by all sides and two major shoe brands (Adidas and Nike.) Croatian Sports is the smallest player in this situation and we feel lucky to have gotten any access for an interview. While I personally agree that there are answers that Croatians want, there was no path to getting those answers during this particular interview. It just wasn’t going to happen guys.
The future may hold tougher questions. But you can’t go in there guns blazing. In any situation. None of these guys have to talk to you. Whether it’s a fan at a game, a rookie NBA player or the President of whatever.
@Idemo,
You get it.
@Truth
Keeping tabs on me huh? 🙂
Definitely not in hierarchy. More like bottom of the totem pole. But thanks?
i understand from Ante’s point of view. Didn’t want to make any issues because he wouldn’t be allowed in locker room at Coliseum. We’re all huge fans of Cro here and it’s hard to imagine CroatianSports.com not being in locker room for pregame & postgame in L.A. Will be a great event & I will always support Croatia even though I want Mamic, Suker & rest of mafia out
No, your question is forward and insulting. Ask him WHY does he think so as it was bad even during the tail end of the Markovic period. That would’ve been perfect! Then he’s finally on the record. The friendly with Estonia happened because of a clerical administrative error when we played a game with a player who wasn’t registered. He wouldn’t have been admitting anything. I would’ve loved his perspective on everything and not just on what you might think he would say.
Because the truth….the answer…..reflects poorly on him, that’s why there is no answer.
“why do our fans disrupt matches”
Answer: savez is corrupt. Fans are stupid. They’re protesting( protesting what) my corruption.
No matter how you slice it how you ask it you’re asking someone to shoot themselves in the foot.
You’re gonna ask why we don’t hire foreign coaches…..infront of the current coach? Ya right.
You expect him to admit that we Owed Estonia a solid for not ratting us out, come on now.
@pog
I think free press is a bit different, you can write what you want about somebody; but don’t expect them to validly it or put themselves in the corner.
We expected way too much.
So now there are no answers? I don’t accept that premise at all. That’s bush. Let’s play devils advocate and say there are aren’t. Why not ask in a polite and professional manner to get his perspective and insight then as to why there isn’t a supposed answer? This format wasn’t an upad like the BBB did which is what you were referring to, far from it. Imagine if Suker did send Kvartuc u picku materinu. That would’ve made a bigger impact and would’ve been construed as denial from even the president of the HNS.
Rakitic is getting eerily similar to prosinecki at same age
Lot of miles nagging injuries in those legs. Almost at the point of just being a good substitute.
Whole midfield for Barca was shit. Thought Iniesta looked well past it with some of his touches. If he buries that through ball it’s 1-1 instead of 2-nil just a few minutes later.
Busquets has been missed..
@Idemo
So why have free press at all?
If Suker’s just looking for someone to polish his knob better some other rag than the good folks of CSR.
None of the questions that the fans would have liked to hear are that offensive. They could have been put forward in a respectful manner and not been insulting.
Mandza 100% right behind Dybala for MOTM
I don’t think anyone is saying it wasn’t fluff, cookie cutter or weak. Build what relationship nothing to build he didn’t want to be there he did it for promo. Every single interview will be like this.
The people that ask the questions we want answers to are the people throwing flares on the pitch, showing up to mamic pressers and threatening to beat his ass. Since there are no answers they result to that.
It literally is what we got or nothing. The second you ask some left field shit it’s cut the cameras and give me the tape.
Rakitič has lost it. The few time they would pass him ball all he can do is one touch pass back to a defender. Can’t take on player one on one, no crosses, no speed. Definitely should not be a starter for a team like Barcelona.
Manzukič beautiful assist on the second goal.
I’ve been listening to the same excuses of building relationships since I started coming on here back in 2009. Face it, the questions were cookie cutter, uninspired and weak, Something the founders of this site didn’t want this site to become happened. The majority of us weren’t expecting a grill session but I have to agree with the truth. This was a fluff piece. Like poglavnik said, it’s almost better it wasn’t done at all given the expectation we had when the now twice removed prior article. Fine, don’t go after him with Mamic balls to the wall but there’s no reason you couldn’t politely ask about the fans, the issues with the savez, etc. Maybe we expected too much? Doubt it. I still think it was pretty weak.
@idemo
Ya i agree there is a thin line. But somehow i would’ve snuck in from our 98 team which was a wonderful blend of youth an experience. Who if you change time would you insert into our lineup now! Besides him. Would it be jarni or asanovic? In my mind very important pieces if not the most important. Would love to hear his response.
There’s a very thin line in interviews, most tell alls are decided before hand, why would anyone agree to anything that might smear them, ha ha ha can turn into mrs u picku materinu really quick
@ ante
don’t listen to the nonsense. i agree that the interview could’ve been harder hitting, but hey, we get it. you’re not going to get the interview and this access if you’re going to come out and be a jerk…catch 22 i suppose…maybe next go around you drop the dagger and just live in peace never getting an interview again
in general, you’ve been doing great work. keep it up. really enjoying all the hoops specials as well including nance
Ante could not ask the tough questions because his family is tied into the Croatian hierarchy. And hierarchy looks out for each other. It’s a sad scam that was pulled on the people during and after the war. The elites drummed up nationalism, so that the regular folk felt they got something out of the war. While the elites got the tangible prize as they stripped and divided up the countries assets robbing it blind and the effects of that linger and hurt the country still today
Honestly I’d rather have no interview with him then.
Love the guys that do this and much respect to them but whats the point really if you’re just asking questions that they’re comfortable answering? I’m not saying be a dick from the get-go, but you’ve got to mix in some tough ones with the softballs.
It’s like Trump only calling on his right wing rags for questions.
Utterly pointless.
You could just look up any old FIFA interview with Suker since he’s been running this shit show and get all those cookie cutter questions and answers.
The 7:25 mark is the worst part of the interview.
Šuker pretty much laughing at the question when being asked what it would take for Croatia to take that next step and possibly get a trophy.
This guy’s not serious.
He has that small country mentality. Just happy to be here.
Wow. I’ve come out of hiding just to respond to some of you mujos telling Kvartuc that his interview wasn’t strong.
1. CSR never gets this interview if certain questions are asked. If Ante started talking about Mamic, you know we wouldn’t have an interview.
2. Lovren question and state of the repka were good enough to walking the line of “questionable” questions.
3. If you guys want CSR to get more access, then they have to develop relationships with teams. Not come in like a fucking bull in a china shop asking about every negative thing that has happened with the team in the last 15 years.
4. If Suker got one thing right…”Croatia has 4.5 million managers, coaches, etc.”
5. I love Cacic now
The Portugal loss was the result of 2 stamps not being called and 28 fouls with only 1 yellow not to mention a handball in extra time-no PK. The ref cost us the game. “Spotska sreca.”
High pressure situation? I think not, it was the epitome of counter attack
I like Kramaric on the wing.
Someone here was defending him and saying how well he’s playing despite him playing on the wing, but I think it plays to his strengths. He’s good at cutting in and likes to shoot from distance. Also he doesn’t seem that great in the air or much of a target man.
if there was anyone to make that old Ziva Istina bet on scoring from outside the box he would be my pick.
I still blame Strinic.
It was sloppy defending all around as far as covering for each other but he shouldn’t have been so careless with possession. After playing nearly 2 hours and with pk’s just around the corner you’ve got to be more responsible.
If you read between the lines they both basically told you that the fix was in. “Sportska Sreca ” =The Fix. Suker basically said you need the calls
I wish Ante asked about the refs and the Fix- seemed star struck.
Watched the Cro-Por goal several times. Go back and watch it. It was a 3 vs 3 situation. 2 of our players I believe Srna & Corluka both went to Nani. Vida was with Ronaldo & Quaresma made a run through Middle by himself. Our team falls apart in high pressure situations. It was a simple 3 vs 3 but we fucked it up. Some of our most experienced defenders. Not Strinic’s fault. I don’t think Strinic is top class but he’s our best LB. started at Euros and now can’t make 23 man roster. Makes no sense
i wouldn’t point out just rakitic; they all sucked
Ok mentall panic.. brace yourself about these fact:
1) we can say Rakitic is over and the next manager of Barca looks at young milan Pasalic who can both score and passes. Would that be Cacic learn from club manager about potential player?
2) Perisic is worse. yes we can put Mandzukic on left but can we meet someone like Dybala who has great finishing + running?
Rakitic with the stinker.
I wonder if Raketa is starting to lose it. Some start to fall off sooner than others. He is 29 this year. Actually, he has a lot of mileage. Kid’s been playing high level football since he was 18. I’m surprised he still hasn’t hit 30 yet.
But I think that if Kramaric would be given his spot on our NT, we’d see him do really well for us. It’s really hard for a coach to bench a Barcelona player though. The media would be all over it, especially if we do anything but win.
Strinic was way upfield and coughed up the ball. U can’t be that careless in posession when you’re out of position. Especially against a team that can counter like Portugal. Bonehead move by him and I’m sure he knows it.
I agree he’s probably the best we’ve got at that position and has been for about four years that being said it’s not one of our strengths.
Nice work getting and taking these interviews gents!
I’d be interested to get Ante’s thoughts after meeting them personally..
you don’t get to ask every question you want, doing so will ruin your career in journalism, majority of interviews have questions cleared before taping
Mandza killing at LB
Why were there no questions asking why Strinić does not start for our team? He is one of the best left backs in Italy and in the world for that matter yet we have to watch Pivarić play in his place.
Strinić should not be blamed for the Portugal loss; he was obviously fatigued and needed to rest. If he would have played for us in Brazil during World Cup 2014, we easily would have beaten Mexico. He would have been the difference maker guaranteed!!
Put him in the EPL and he is a superstar on his footballing acumen alone.
We should beg him to come back!
Curious here. What was the method to the madness for taking down the previous post several times where we posted some great questions? Scratching my head on that one.
Should have told Suker he is more liked in Spain than Croatia.I Anyone one know if Selena Gomez or Becky G will be at the game considering their Mexican heritage. I know Becky G is a football fan.
I will address the CroatianSports.com nation soon. If Ante got one thing right it was “there is a method to our madness.”
The only thing that I will tell you right now is that I’m not happy and a dozen direct messages from some of our followers tell me that they are not happy as well.
I think antes family is tied into the Croatian hierarchy. I suspected it when they were able to meet gotovina that one time. Having access to guys like suker and cacic cements the idea
Ante I think you are great at doing interviews. I expected you to represent the majority of Croatian fans who believe Mamic & Suker are at fault for the toxic relationship between fans & Savez. Croatian journalists cannot ask certain questions because people who own the newspapers have good relationships with Mamic. I would have asked Cacic why he didn’t make any subs till almost end of regulation vs POR.Why he didn’t make a sub when Portugal coach brought on Sanches who took control of central MF.Real journalism is getting down to the tough questions and not being politically correct. Unfortunate but hopefully u get another chance.
I thought Denis was doing that interview. What happened?
Suker and Cacic wer doing him a favor; you don’t grill someone doing you favors. Only reason they agreed was for promo I bet
Wow. What a weak interview. Finally a chance to get some answers to the questions and complaints of so many followers of this site and around the world…. Anger levels so high that the very founder of this site will no longer watch the national team and you guys wimp out and do this fluff piece…. There is some truth for you. Sramota
Ante, I don’t know man. Pretty weak interview all things considered, especially with Suker.
Golden ball winner at the world cup? lol
hahaha vecernji lsit http://www.vecernji.hr/nogomet/suker-se-osramotio-ne-zna-kako-se-zove-igrac-koji-je-stradao-u-najvecoj-tragediji-hnl-a-1162543
Nice job!! You guys are hitting the big time
Question I’m still trying to make arrangements work wise to get to the game
Anyone gonna have any tickets they holding on to for sale?
Well done Ante….Sukers Spanish on point
