CSR ‘idea man’ and Croatian photojournalist Branimir Kvartuč took to the streets of Dubrovnik the night of the Croatia-England match on September 9, 2009 to talk to the locals about what they thought about the game. Branimir also caught up with an Englishman from London who watched the game in Croatia. He reminds me of Austin Powers. Anyone else with me on this one?
Thank you Branimir once again for the awesome coverage and shout out!
Yes, I liked the video very much. The interview with Austin Powers was good as well as the Croatians at the kafic talking smack about the Cro defense in the beginning.
Sweet, simple and to the point!
Welcome back Ante BBB!
@Brane,
Thanks for the coverage from Dubrovnik. Great idea of interviewing a Brit in Croatia. I wonder what his story is considering the fact that he married Croatian.
Croatian fans must have been pissed(both upset and drunk) after the match. Great candid video to open up.
Hey guys!
I'm finally back from Zagreb and have nothing to report sadly.
The game against Belarus consisted of me drinking my face off at Maksimir and my batteries ran out of gas.
I didn't wind up going to London because of some ticket mix up sranje so just stayed in Zagreb. Atmosphere was mediocre to say the least.
It's good to be back home but I miss Hrvatska
Hi everyone….
The atmosphere in Dubrovnik Nazalost was not "electric" a few people on the Stradun were wearing their checkers, however, the city did not project the game on a big screen like they did last year. There are two English pubs in the middle of Dubrovnik, I was at the Gaffe Pub, where there was a mix of Croatian and English fans, however, because of the quick English goal the atmosphere from the Croatian side was ehhhh.
The loss was disappointing because after the game everyone in town was not in a good mood.

Brane,
Great post and coverage from Dubrovnik. The English guy was in heaven, and the Croatian fans were left with unanswered questions.
How was the atmosphere in Dubrovnik, before, during and after the game?
croatian soccer report taking over the world!
