Laž! All UDBaši working here!
Mr. Crnac, if you only have one week, and don’t have a car, stick to the Split/Bol/Hvar trifecta. Try and split time with each.
Talk about the biggest udba on this site posing under other names is Ivica.
🙂
Also Mr. Black the island Krk is also nice depending how far north you plan on going. This summer in Croatia has had a lot of rain but August is usually guaranteed great weather.
Also another stunning place is Plitvice national park. Check out some images on line. Place is stunning.
All good choices being given.
I would say try to hit Korcula if you want laid back style.
Avoid the beaches of Makarska. The surrounding beaches in the smaller cities/selos are better and less crowded. In Makarska you are met by half of Sarajevo. But, if you enjoy that, then more power to you.
Also I recommend the town of Jelsa on Hvar. It’s a refreshing break from the glitz and glam of Hvar Town. It’s more laid back.
Oh Hvar has tons of beaches, you just need a car to get to all the nice beaches and hidden coves. I brought my car to the island via ferry last year and had a blast.
There are nice beaches you can access from Dubrovnik. There is Lokrum island which can be easily reached via municipal ferry. It takes only 10 min to get there. The island is a national park with olive groves and pristine waters. Extra bonus if you are a Game of Thrones fan, as many of the scenes are shot there.
Supposedly Brela is one of Europes most beautiful beaches.
I was there on my hunny moon.
It is close to Bol and Makarska.
@Mr. Black
Makarska is beautiful too.
Birthplace of Alen Boksic!
I accessed Brac from there.
And you’re only an hour and a half bus ride from beautiful Ljubuski, BiH
Also, if your friends are jock sniffers, you’re guaranteed to see Zvonimir Boban at Varadero cocktail bar in Bol.
But don’t humiliate yourself trying to get an autograph or take a photo with him or anything. Bol has a large Croatian (Zagreb) contingent, where nobody gets star-struck and everyone is just having a good time on their vacations.
So, there isn’t any of that North American fanboy screaming for celebrities going on over there, so it will be weird if your friends do that. People will be like WTF, lol.
@Mr. Black
Don’t listen to Milan. He’s an UDBa agent trying to ruin you vacation. 😉
Unless there is rain, the water is not cold on Bol in August.
But because there is some wind on Bol (there is a lot of windsurfing and kite surfing on the island) it’s easy to get sunburned because you never feel sweaty and hot. That’s the best part of that beach, but you can get burned if you’re out there all day because you don’t feel it.
Hvar is also a very good option too because it has a nice big trg with a lot of people. It’s a lot busier with a good buzz, and it’s fun to see the rich douchebags pull into the docks with their ridiculously luxurious yachts.
But Hvar doesn’t have beaches. However, it has very clean water, and rocks that you can jump off of into the water from. But, nothing compares to Bol’s beach though, and Bol’s restaurants are a bit better. Hvar is more fun in terms of people watching and bigger party.
If you have only a week, I’d stick to one (or both) of those islands, with maybe a night in Split.
@ mr black
You can’t go wrong with any place on the coast. Only drawback with Bol is at times the water is cold and strong trade winds exist. Enjoy.
Ivica,
Thank you vey much.
@Mr. Black
Tell your friends to go to Bol on the Island of Brač.
Hands down, the best beach in Croatia. Fantastic restaurants too.
Also, it won’t be too hectic when it comes to nightlife in August like Novalja or Hvar can be. But at the same time, there is still a young crowd that goes for the lounge type of party (it has a couple of good cocktail bars on the strip) so they can always choose to go out and party if they want to, yet not be overwhelmed by some drunken crowds polluting the entire town.
Apartments Belvedere is an excellent place to stay on Bol (right on the strip), but there are plenty of other apartments that they can rent if these are already booked up. They can check them out on the Boltours.com website.
Another place I would recommend is Dubrovnik.
The only problem with Dubrovnik though, are the beaches. They’re not that great (especially when compared to Bol’s unbelievable beach). However, there is so much history and architecture in Dubrovnik that you could walk for days and not get bored. It also has a good selection of restaurants (especially you like oysters, since oysters are their thing over there).
If I were your friends, I would do Bol for the week, but also spend a night or two in Split for some cafe lounging and shopping in the stari grad. Also, I’d recommend taking a day trip to Hvar while they are on Bol.
Ouch.
We have a guy who comes on here as Ziva’s dad. Pathetic.
Oops! Surely Ziva will attack my spelling if opinions!!
Mama – we are all entitled to our opionions. Fuck, Pee Wee Herman still has fans….
Lets also get Sarah Palin I say! She can see Russia from Alsaka. That will get a few comments going.
Lol ! You seem to have a little man crush on Ziva, ohh mama pretender. Its good to see that someone will stick up for Ziva, otherwise the ratios are just terrible and too askew.
Nope. I am just amazed how Ziva can command so much input from you all. (Damn even I have to comment) Plus you gotta give the credit he is usuallly correct and knows his stuff. No one comes close to him.
Imagine if no Ziva on this site. Boring. You know you will laugh with some of his lines.
Ante(zivas step dad) – the drugs are a minor thing. It’s the ass & tits that has Ziva all flustered!
Mama – that’s you Ziva isn’t it or Mama Istina to the rescue??????
I know thats not you mama,we have been on the same page for ages about the boys upbringing. If Sarah Palin came on to the site, she could get lots of people replying also.No big deal there.
@Ziva,you will always be “Moj mali Zrconja”
Wow. This site is shit without Ziva. He has everyone replying to him and he usually is correct.
The most bothersome part for me would be the music.
Followed closely by the pedophilia and “homosex”.
Ziva,I understand that you are quite against Zrce. You state that it is rife with Drugs, pedophelia and homsoexuality.
Its the drugs that bother you isnt it? I know you are anti drugs.
Ziva,
Aside from your spelling, your ability to ignore good points made against u is superb.
Elvis wow is right! I now understand why Ziva is so afraid of Zrce!
guys google Zrce and check the images. Woww!!!
Yeah Ziva your spelling is spotless always. Who gives a fuck. The point being your hypocritical ways….
@Sepp…….glad you asked. As always, happy to help.
Ideally, a jersey with no number. If you have to wear a #, then OK. But, under no circumstance should a grown adult man ever – and I mean ever – wear another person’s last name on their back. it is disrespectul to your won family name. Then again, some of you may have no such problem. I guess I can classify that as those who dont live the “za dom…..spremni” lifestyle.
I encourage people to wear a jersey if they want. But, no need to wear one with someone’s name on the back. Don’t you think it is kind of strange and perverted to wear the name of someone on your back who is probably younger than you. It just smells like teen girls going nuts a boy band concert.
@Ron Jeremy……I get your attempt at humor. But, come on man, at least spell the word correctly. And if you are going to Zrce, then my prayers are with you. That place is heaven for drugs, pedophilia and homosexuality.
At a Footy match proper attire would be Causal wear. Fred Perrys and Stone Island stuff.
Sepp – I vote for #8. Who gives a fuck what that troll thinks.
I say he wore rakitic underwear.
@Ziva,
So what is ok to wear then? What do you wear to NT games? What did you wear to each of the games in Brazil (assuming you really were there?)
1. Rakitic #7 jersey with name on back?
2. Repka #7 with no name on back?
3. Repka jersey with no number/name?
4. Some sort of Croatian shirt?
5. Serbian NT jersey?
6. A t-shirt that proclaims your love of sucking donkey dicks?
7. Wife beater shirt.
Friends, should we have a poll?
lol disregard my family cause i wore a rakitic jersey. Look at the comment you made about your own mother above. Fuck outta here Ziva.
Friends of mine (3 couples 25-35, one baby) are heading for Croatia this month. They like to have a beer from time to time, the beach and some fishing. What would be the best place for them to go? They’re looking for an apartment for one week.
People need to chill.
Kovacic spent way too much time on the bench last year.
The year before, I’d be willing to guess, he played more minutes in his first 4 or 5 months than he did all of last season.
Hence the regression…
Yea i admire the way the guy plays soccer. Its a beautiful sport and its a pleasure watching him play. I dont pay attention to babies and wedlock and what ever other rumors about him you use to finger yourself to.
Hello dečaka tražim gej strejt muškaraca bazen stranke. JA sam pročitao da je Hrvatska dobro mesto za to.
Ron Jeremy spot on.
Hi Ziva remember me? I’m gonna start filming my new movie Kralj Kercino in Zrce later this summer. Wondering if you’d like a part so we can take care of that big V issue of yours?
You know what they say about people who live in glass houses right? You literally perform jock sniffery with your unlimited knowledge of the sex lives of our athletes!
wait a minute, you admire Rakitic???? For what? Kicking a ball????
Fathering a child in wedlock?
The other rumors about him that I won’t share here because some of you are uncomfortable with it
Yea dude, you can only offer advice but if no one is asking for advice then you shouldnt probably give it. Would rakitic wear a jersey with my name on it? is the irrelevant and the stupidest retort. Why would he? im not a pro athlete that he admires. So while im wearing my rakitic jersey, you continue to jerk off to his youtube hgh light reel.
And for your info, my family doesnt care if i wear a pro athletes shirt lol
@Ziva, we know about your crusade on jock sniffing, give it a rest man, you’re beating a dead horse.
Who in the fuck cares what others do, worry about yourself. To each his own.
Eat, drink, fuck, don’t pay taxes and be merry.
– Stay on the kovacic bandwagon
– The kid is 20 years
– And has a rare ability: attacking forward off the dribble
– His two runs against Iceland were a glimpse
– Some day him and halilvoc will terrorize opponents running at them with the ball
It is just strange……..would rakitic wear a jersey with your last name on it? No, of course not. So, why wear one with his name on it. It disrespecting yourself by wearing another man’s name on your back. A name of an individual you don’t even know.
I bet you are the same person who would go up and ask for a photo or autograph if you saw him or some other celebrity.
I’ll never understand fanboys. They act like teenage girls when they see a boys band. Your obsession is probably no different than what my 13-year old cousin’s obsession is with One Direction or whatever the current boy band flavor of the month is.
Either way. I can only offer advise and help. If an adult male wants to disregard his own family name and wear the family name of another person, then its on them.
Dude you go in circles with all your bullshit to the point where what you’re saying doesnt even make sense.
and why do you have your panties in a bunch over that? Who gives a shit. It shows support. I wore a rakitic jersey during the brazil game to support my country and rakitic my favorite player. I dont wear it casue i wanna be him. that shit does have to stop tho its annoying hearing you preach about something so stupid all the time.
Yeah, but me thinking he is better than what he showed is much different than what he ACTUALLY showed. He showed nothing at the World Cup.
Now, go back to being a jock sniffer………I still can’t believe grown men are willing to wear the name of a person they have never met or know on their back
All this sniffing talk has really got my kobasica going.
For those in Cro………big time jock sniffing opportunity for those who follow organized afterschool backyard fight club participants.
http://www.index.hr/sport/clanak/index-vas-vodi-na-upoznavanje-sa-stipom-miocicem/763307.aspx
Dude you must be stupid…
“So, to repeat…….I do think Kovacic will be a much better player than what we saw the last 12 months” -Ziva
Thank you for showing your stupidity. Go back to living in the basement and calling your mom a bitch.
thanks for proving my point.
go back to jock sniffing and wearing whatever jersey you select to wear.
No i can read just fine but you must have trouble reading your own writing. Please see above…
Do you have trouble reading?????? Being a fanboy will do that. I said Kovacic will be fine. All I said is that he did shit at the World Cup and his last 12 months were very uneven.
My comments about Modric were correct at the time I said them. I viewed his play in the moment. How was he playing in that point in time. They were accurate comments. Even he said so himself that was underperforming.
Ziva im gunna put a kovacic jersey on you in your sleep, take a photo and post that jock sniffing shit all over the web so that people all over the world can see,
If you dont think the kid will be better than what we havbe seen so far then you my friend have no ability to see potential in stars. Neither modric nor rakitic have shown as much potential as this kid is at 20 FUCKING YEARS OLD. And i can clearly remember you shitting on Modric when he joined real and then praising yourself for guessing that he was gunna be a bust (ti si pametna) and then as soon as he stepped it up you closed your mouth. hajde Šuti budalo
He was criticized for his play at the WC, like many other players.
I dont give a shit that he has offers from other clubs. All I care about is how our Croatian players play for the repka. I take no pride in how our players play at the club level. Madza and Modric won Champions League titles the last two. And guess what…….who cares. I want success with the repka.
it’s OK to be a fanboy like you are, but take off the homer glasses every now and then and see reality.
So, to repeat…….I do think Kovacic will be a much better player than what we saw the last 12 months. I am not knocking him. I am just stating how he has played in the last 12 months. Same thing I said with Modric when he first got to Real. I echoed the bust word after an article about him appeared in Marca. He did play like a bust his first 5, 6 months. Then he stepped up his play. I view and I respond. No fanboy rhetoric on my end.
lmao you actually made me laugh Ziva.
He played well when their season was basically over.
Listen, I want to kid to succeed. I just call it as I see it. He sure wasn’t FLOURISHING at the World Cup.
Tough to leave the confines of the fortified basement. The bitch upstairs cooks and cleans. Can’t beat that.
You tell me what player, that has 20k+ bids for him from top clubs turned down, deserves as much criticism as they get here on this site?
Ziva,
Once you get out of mamas basement or when your balls drop, i’ll take off my homer glasses. Which ever comes first. Maybe flourishing was a poor choice of wording but it is obvious that the kid is progressing and not regressing. It is also obvious that the coaching staff and media is noticing. He had an awesome end to last season and started the last 8 games, I believe.
@ Soul Champ
not dropped… I mean Ivan is talented, but when are him and Luka going to gel and really boss the middle of the park like we all hope they will? granted, NK is partly to blame with having Ivan as a holding midfielder but when is he going to grab a game by the horns and really become a game changer? is he just going to be one of those guys that is great for club and meh for country? maybe we should deploy him as a holder and let Luka and Mateo wreak havoc in the middle with guys like the Bozandzero and Rebic manning the wings?
lot of questions leading into Euro 2016 and this I’m sure will be one of them…
pa… I’d give up my small toe to hop on a plane right now and take a walk around Korzo, hang with my family in Novi Vindolski and Crikvenica and catch a few HNL and Europa Liga games at Kantrida
You are comparing Rakitic to Totti and Pirlo??????? World Cup winners.
I’m sure Rakitic will have a great La Liga season again and I am sure he will underperform for the repka again.
Same song and dance.
@ Armada
Our shared love of all things Rijeka always garners my respect.
Homie Rakitic dropped for Euro 2016?
Did a basement Hrvat abduct you walking na Korzo?
Have you seen Totti and Pirlo in there late 30’s producing the magic .
The best is yet to come from Rakitic!
Need my man Kek to give some tactical lessons to our boy Kovac and get all this talent working together.
Put Kovačić on the wing and let his talent have some freedom.
Let the generals run the middle.
Kid has the weight of the world on his shoulders for no reason when we have Real and Barca studs in their prime.
FYI – taking my son to a match at Kantrida in May.
It has been too long since I walked the Korzo.
—
I’ll be honest… with Kovacic, I’d be ok he starts over Rakitic come Euro 2016. I mean I don’t think Modric/Rakitic/Kovacic can work in the middle of the park. Too many cooks in the kitchen. Plus, between never being played in his proper position or never really living up to his club hype, I’m over Rakitic… He’s good captain material and maybe he could just play DM for the NT?? Just don’t see this triangle as a viable option longer term…
Our standards for our young players have gone way up since Modrić became what he has become.
What did Modrić do at age 19?
I doubt many of us even cared when he was loaned out to Inter Zaprešić.
This past season and a half for Kovačić was supposed to have up and downs, but he made an unexpected strong start to his Inter career and now we’re concerned because of last season.
Rakitić at the same age made a similar strong start to his Schalke career too, then plateaued for a couple of years… But look at him now.
Anything can happen with Kovačić, but we only really saw how good guys like Modrić and Rakitić really were once they hit about 23. We gotta give Kovačić (along with guys like Halilović and Rebić) at least another couple of years before we start freaking out.
Love the underdog role and vibe around Rijeka with the team. Also it looks like the “cliff” at Kantrida will still be visible and the look will be like no other stadium, man things are looking good for us!!!
@ Ziva
your Rijeka comments are spot on.
Outside of the Kvarner, Istra, Primorsko-Goranska and maybe a touch of western Lika, no one gives a crap for or roots for Rijeka. I would never expect Rijeka to have a national following, no matter how well they do and personally, I like it that way. Rijeka is a blue collar, port city with a different identity compared to other coastal cities.
Part of me would like that scenario to pan out that you mentioned as well. Of course it would be great to see Rijeka make a run into the Group Stage, but I wouldn’t mind Rijeka getting a tough team for that Playoff round and bowing out and really focusing all their energy on making a run at Dinamo.
Up with seeing my NY Knicks and NY Jets win Championships, I could die a happy man if Rijeka win just one HNL title in my lifetime… Cico would never here the end of it on here hahahah
@ RE: Kovacic
kid has all the tools to be a great one and while we have seen flashes, this year is gonna be a big one for him at Inter – if he doesn’t step up and really lead that midfielder, he should move to another club and if he continues to progress, he’ll be one of our key players for the Euro qualifiers… Personally, I’m in the camp that thinks he’ll be our next “great one” over guys like Halilovic
These “he’s regressed” are rubbish…. Kids 20 years old, he’s bound to have some ups and downs at this age.
Kovacic was one of the few bright spots for Inter last season.
Their Slovene goalie and Icardi are also promising.
Seems that the Kreteni have fired you up,you are on fire!
By the way,Ziva wants to know how he can sign up for Cynical Croats who hate talented Croats. He loves it!
Kovacic regressing ?
Majke boze !
What basement treachery is this ?
Yeah just like Modric regressed during his first 6 months at Real Madrid ?
What kind of ruž Marin do you pessimistic people smoke ?
Inter and Serie A are dysfunctional entities.
You smotani are going to blame the 19 year old for him not being the consistent number “10?”
This commentary is worse then the Modric bust BS ?
Mazarri he is an arrogant ARSE!
Inter is comprised of mercenary B talent cast offs . Have you seen the “tail” with Palacio? Lost chances for Argentina v Germany?
For the repka Kovacic needs to play out on the wing .
Didn’t have a good one v Brazil and then gets buried by Kovač.
Single handedly put us in WC with inspired runs v Iceland.
This is another example where the repka should be supporting him during a challenging club situation. Klose and Podolski had rough patches at Bayern and Germany supported them through it and the rest is history.
Interesting to me that the veliki Hrvati who live ZDS lifestyle are always the first to sell out on of our own in a tough spot?
Same smotani who need Halilovic to score a hat trick for Barca against Real Madrid in a el Classico to “earn” some minutes for the repka against Malta.
You guys should create a new site “Cynical Croatians who hate talented Croatians . COM !”
Maybe too long …
Just go with Kreten.HR
lets hope kovacic has a strong campaign.. he did start to pick it up quite well at the end of the year
didn’t he have that game with 3 assists?
i might be way off on this but don’t think modric or rakitic were changing many games at 20 years old?? id say for sure this year and the next are his to show who he is, if not then maybe he will be a bust… lets give him the benefit of the doubt… he has made some top quality plays
I agree wih the last two comments. Still time for Kovacic. I just don’t get homer comments like he is “flourishing”. We have yet to see him flourish for an extended period of time.
Some people, not you two, need to take off the homer glasses.
^ ^
This isn’t baseball…
A footballers career can turn in the blink of an eye.
Remember Ricardo Quaresma?
When him and Cristiano Ronaldo came out of Sporting Lisbon they were both 20 years old and Quaresma was valued higher than Ronaldo.
We all know who’s better now.
Or Jack Wilshere, future captain of England, youngest Arsenal player ever, yadda, yadda, yadda…
Point being you don’t have tons of years to develop your talent.
You see it all the time that a young player peaks early, and doesn’t progress any further.
At that age a footballer needs to be like a shark.
You’re either constantly moving forward or you’re dead!
about Kovacic .. I am prefer him to be substitute
for Central Midfilder !!

Kovacic is 20 years old and people are already talking like it’s the end of the world for him. He’ll mature and develop, as time goes on. He was non-existent in the WC. Still have we forgotten he was one of the main reasons why Croatia even qualified? That run and perfect ball to Srna was one of my top 10 favorite Croatia moments ever.
Well done for Rijeka, Split and Dinamo. Hopefully all three teams and maybe Hajduk all move on. It would be good to see all four teams competing in something other than prva liga action.
Best hope for Rijeka is to hope Dinamo can somehow have an extended run in Europe where they have to play two matches per week and that Rijeka gets eliminated in the playoff round and fails to qualify for the Europa League.
Rijeka’s looking good this year.
Hopefully they’re not just another Lokomotiva Zagreb (comprised of Dinamo players) and can actually challenge for top spot this season.
I always wonder if Mamić got his fingers in there and has some sort of agreement with the Rijeka clan.
@Adame……you think Kovacic career is flourishing?????? Man, you must have some low expectations for him. If you call this flourishing, then I don’t know what to tell you. I hope this is not flourishing. Kovacic was one of our worst players against Brazil. He had no influence on our game and he was put in a position to have influence. Now, I don’t know if that was Kovac’s fault with the tactics, but Kovacic was not scene against Brazil. Now, he may go on and have a great year ( I hope he does), but what we saw from him in the last 12 months was actually disappointing. Everything you are commenting is your wishful thinking and not on what he did. Again, I think he will be better. But, his performance in Brazil was nothing special at all. Not even pedestrian. But, you keep wearing that Inter shirt with his last name on it.
@Croatia vs. Antwerp…….nobody cares about RNK Split in Cro, yet alone Split. Nobody cares about Rijeka outside that region either. Face it, there are only two teams in Cro that will draw people’s interest in Cro: Dinamo and jadan, mali i nemocan hajduk. Those are the only two teams that get TV ratings within Cro.
He has a ton of talent and I hope you and Inter’s faith prove me wrong.
Just seemed to me like he caught Serie A off guard in that first season.
Don’t think those defenders expected this kid to be taking them on from the middle of the park like that.
I realise how much Inter have invested in the kid, but there’s a reason he rides the pine.
Either he has a delicate psyche (most likely) and they don’t want to break his confidence by throwing him in all the time or he’s just not ready to be the “number 10” game in, game out.
Wish him all the best, but you need to be more than a dribbler at that level and on that stage..
Looks like hajduk ain’t the only club in town. RNK Split grabbed an unlikely victory against Chornomorets. Split has come out of hajduk’s shadow and is now grabbing all the headlines.
They are a side comprised of two aging veterans Bilic and Dujmovic, Cameroonian journeyman Belle, and Serbian Outcast Vidovic. And that’s not all. They gotta a’coupla decent youth prospects to round out the squad.
This team proves the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. If they make the Europa league, it will be a Cinderella story indeed.
For hajduk fans, don’t worry, you still have time to switch allegiances to RNK Split.
Nah i dont think so. This season will tell us whos right. I strongly believe the kid has a lot of talent he wants to show off and i think inter now realizes it.
^ ^
Ok, “shit” is a bit rough.
Look at Mateo Kovacic at Inter on Youtube and notice that all of his highlights are from 2 years ago (which was like a 4-5 month stint) and barely anything from last season apart from that game where he had a hat-trick of assists.
I was pumping his tires like crazy two years ago.
Now all Im seeing is a selfish dribbler.
He’s young, but compared to two season’s ago I would say he’s regressed.
lol regressing…inter turned down offers from a few different big named clubs in europe to keep him. jesi li lud?
and regressing? They’re talking about how he is going to be the mastermind at inter. The kid is on the up and up. far far from regressing. I dont think the world cup is a solid foundation to base any players level of quality on. the entire team played like shit together.
@Poglavnik
Really? Go on youtube and type in “Mateo Kovacic vs Brazil”. That performance was quality not shit.
He had trouble with adjusting to the temperature but i wouldnt say that he looked like shit at all.
Kovacic looked like shit at the WC.
Seemed like a much bigger talent 18 months ago.
Dudes a ball hog, and tries doing way too much.
Feel like he’s regressing at this point.
Hopefully he turns it around.
and look at kovacic, dude rarely saw the pitch with inter while we were qualifying for the world cup. Stimac still called him up and started him and now his career is flourishing. We need to stop this conservative style bs and play our potential stars with our current stars.
Ziva,
One thing you are not realizing is the difference between our repka (well maybe not yours considering all you do is shit on it) and the club teams that the “kids” play on like halilovic and rebic. They have competition for their positions at their clubs so sometimes they may not get to see the pitch that much. Which is why you do want them on the national team. Just because they dont see the pitch that much at the club level doesnt mean that they cannot play good football and contribute to the team. It just means that theyre next in line. On our repka, quite frankly idk who could play the right side better than halilovic…perisic maybe but him and halilovic can switch out. And on the left, we have olic who switches with rebic. Once olic, who is almost there, retires then that will be rebics spot. The repka has sucked alot lately, im all game for taking the risk and calling up some new blood that show potential.
I’ll just blame Mamic for Hajduk shitting the bed on defense against FC Borat
in more positive news…
Rijeka up 3-1 in the 72 minute
Kramaric, Leskovic, Kvrzic
RNK Split surprisingly up 2-0 vs. Chornomorets
You see this starlet like Halilovic !!
http://www.mangareader.net/captain-tsubasa-rising-sun/10/8
you wont get any excuses from me. This is a young team and mistakes like today are expected.
I think it is time for all the supporters of jadan, mali i nemocan hajduk (remember, no capital “H”) to go to church and pray for the club. It is time to ask for forgiveness for the club. I know most dalmatinci are afraid of walking into the house of the Lord, but maybe that is what is needed.
@armada
waiting for the excuses
jeeez… what happened in that Hajduk-Shakhter game?
Actually, I take that back. Vrsaljko was a bit above average. I still rather see him on his natural side. While he did well defensively, we didn’t get much going forward with him.
Spoke to soon about jadan, mali i nemocan hajduk……..gave up a late goal to go down 4-2. Another great defensive blunder.
I haven’t see that many loose holes since STD Corluka’s various flavors of the week.
@Ivica……I agree with much of what you wrote. Yes, the circumstances of the game dictate if they should see the field. But, I’ll go back to the World Cup.
For me Vrsaljko was average. I think we praise him because of how bad that position has been in the past for Cro. I do think Strinic will be the starter in qualifying.
As for Rebic……he played well against a team that quit and played well when the game was laready decided against Mexico. Credit to him for at least playing well against mexico when the rest of our mental midgets didn’t. i just want to see more of Rebic to understand what he can do well and what he cant. The world is Italy is that he is not good tactically in uderstanding his positioning on the field. More time at the club level can and should fix that.
Anyone watching my beloved jadan, mali i nemocan hajduk……actually playing better than I thought they would, especially with the ball. Their D is another story. gave up some very soft goals, but if this score remains they have a shot to advance.
Dani Olmo to Dinamo = Mamic is brilliant
@German Croat
Serbia is in a tough group with Portugal, Denmark, and a very underrated Armenia. It also doesn’t help that Albania is in their group, and will probably try a little harder against Serbia than they would other teams. I could see Serbia losing vital points to Albania in a draw.
But, despite the incompetence of the Serbian FA, it at least looks like they are trying. Unlike our savez, who just seem to hire based on how many degrees of separation they are from one another.
I don’t know if hiring a semi-retired Advocaat was a good call though. Not sure if this dude really gives a shit. They did the same thing when they hired Clemente. I’m sure it is a bonus-laiden agreement where they are desperate to simply qualify.
@Ziva
You said the same thing about Rebic and look how decent he played at the World Cup despite not playing for his club.
Now, personally, I wouldn’t have started integrating him during a World Cup match, but we didn’t really have an option off the bench so it’s understandable why he was brought on, and I think many here know it was the right call.
Radosevic is in the same situation as Rebic. Stuck on the bench as a youngster on a top Serie A club who already have a lot of depth at his position. This doesn’t mean that Radosevic isn’t a quality footballer. It’s not like Napoli bought him for no reason.
It makes perfect sense to try him out as an option in a friendly or in this upcoming qualifier against Malta (if we’re up a few goals). We’ve already proven to ourselves that playing Rakitic deep is a waste of his talent, and we had to burn a World Cup tournament to confirm it. We learn, we move on, and try something different when we get the chance. The last 20 minutes of this Malta game (assuming we have a multi-goal cushion) is definitely a good opportunity to try one of our unproven DM options.
You were the biggest critic of our wingers and saying how they will never be able to provide the service our forwards require, but now it looks like we have some decent options with guys like Perisic, Rebic, and Vrsaljko all taking next steps in their development. None of this would have been known if we had kept our younger guys like Vrsaljko and Rebic on the bench, and waited until they produced regularly at club level first before the repka.
Again, I wouldn’t do this type of thing in tournament or important qualifying matches…but in friendlies and in the last 20 minutes of a qualifier (where the game is all but sealed) is the place to do this. I know you’ll try and twist this like in your last comment, but nobody is saying to load up our roster with tons of unproven talent. Integrate them slowly by playing them with our veterans during friendlies or in the last few minutes of a qualifying match…a couple players at a time at most. Instead of pushing the same formula that doesn’t work. This is why I will lose my shit if I see Pranjic (yet again) playing as LB on our roster.
Cro can easily get a foreign coach……it is not an issue. But, any foreign coach worth his weight wont take the job because they have to answer to Mamic.
Kovac answers to mamic, that is why he got the job. Plain ans simple. It pays to be kumovi!!!
Dick Advocaat is the new coach of Serbia. Now they have a foreign i still don’t think they will make Euro 2016.
Laknat: lol if halilovic is ever a super star ill always remember the days of the god of halilovic!
i brought up radosevic strictly cause he played the one game against a top quality side belgium and didn’t shit the bed and never been heard of since
ya i know no club time but still? doesn’t add up
Your expectation to deploy a youth in the qualification
will become True as my project for overhaul the team !
http://www.easypolls.net/poll.html?p=53a98132e4b00f1381969dad
Stop with this Radosevic crap…..kid needs playing time at the club level.
I can see playing one kid, but go ahead and give big minutes to kids like Rebic, Halilovic and Radosevic without them earning at the club level and we are setting ourselves up for failure with the qualifiers.
You are basing your thoughts on worthless friendly matches that have been played so far.
In our next friendly, we should definitely be trying out some young players here and there (at least in the last 15 minutes to get some burn). We’ve wasted too many friendlies in these past few years where we neither tried out any useful formations, tactics, nor did we integrate any youngsters.
Radosevic would be nice to try out, seeing that we’re hurting badly for a half decent DM. If we’re up a few goals on Malta, I’d like to see him get 15-20 min alongside Modric with Rakitic pushed up.
If he does well in the garbage minutes, try him for a full half or full game in the next friendly. Stuff like this could get him some exposure, and improve things at club level (or at least get him a loan to a decent team where he could play).
If more money and their club careers are the major factor that drives these players to perform (which is what some on this site fully claim it to be), then he’ll probably come out hungry and play hard for the repka. Worst case is we get a player who is working hard for the repka, but for the wrong reasons, lol.
This should be a no-brainer! It seems pretty obvious that Halilovic is a future Croatian NT star or starter at the very least. Surely a cap to Malta would be a positive developmental move.
Since we are thin at the wing position I’d say give Halilovic a run if he continues to show he’s one of the best Barca B players or even makes the A roster…never know.
I’ve been a Rebic fan since I first saw him play a year or ago…has the speed and strength we’ve lacked upfront. Since our old guard is slowly on the decline we need to give these kids a shot.
@ Ivica – …in the end, you and I will be right about Kovac.
Even if it is all nicely set up for him to succeed with qualifying for Euro2016, I still think he will do what many of us thought Stimac would and started to do – start alienating the players by stubbornly playing his favorites.
@ Soul Champ – yeah, I found it odd that Radosevic played well an his only match for the Repka and Halilovic looked good in the friendly against Porugal and then – nothing.
…and how do you sit on the bench at Dinamo and have people taliking you might make the Barcelona senior squad a few months later?
A WAY lot more to this than we know.
What more do we need to see from Halilovic ?
If he can be the best Barca b player he can play against MALTA!
Would have like to have seen him 0-0 vs Mexico then leaving on Pranjic and bringing on tired ass Jelavic.
Fear and Flaws!
Sounds like a nice cafe conversation with unemployed ovci .
Ajdu picku materinu !
Just can’t be with that we have a superstar with a golden left foot. Who happens to feel an attacking need for us.
Rebić is a beast. No basement BS can deny that ISTINA.
@ Ivica
Owe you a pivo homie you are real generous human being to put forth such intelligent commentary for all the zemljaci.
Hrvatska needs more like you .
@Bobby
Well hopefully Kovač can figure out how to manage against Malta without them and grind out a victory.
😉
http://www.24sata.hr/nogomet/rijeka-ipak-u-prijenosu-ako-nece-htv-onda-cemo-mi-sami-378163
More good stuff from Rijeka – will live stream their next match since it won’t be live on HRT.
Also, Rebic suspended 1 match – he and Perisic will now miss out of Malta in September.
shitty for perisic… was just hitting his groove again
however at least its the shoulder and not leg involved… he was in good shape before and will recover quick…
lets hope he continues to play well and we have a quality winger for years to come
if my memory serves me right radosevic played the one game against belgium and never again??
as far as i remember he did nothing bad to not let him play again and he hasn’t. wtf? i still say go with some youth, seriously wtf we scraped in and basically shit the bed with mexico with our all stars.. may as well try some young dudes
yes i agree let him mature and develop but say we are playing malta in now a much less pressured qualifying for euro and we are up by one or two(humour me) why not throw him in there for some minutes? even if just playing for barca B
im not saying to start him against italy…
Once again Ziva, well said, you always are the one who makes sense on this site and you back it up consistently.
I concur. The kid’s gotta earn it!
I wouldn’t rush him into the senior squad and put undue pressure on him. The last thing we need now is for this kid to flop.
Give him time to develop further. He needs to improve tactically. Also he needs to get a hellava lot stronger ya know.
One more thing. Nice job Dinamo against the Danes. We got one foot in the play-offs!
My worry is brining in a young player who doesn’t deserve a call up and then does shit for the repka. You can run a kid by doing that.
Rebic is a smal sample size to say it would work. i’d like to see more of Rebic. For one reason we can see what his flaws are. He did well at the WC against a team that gave up (Cameroon) and in garbage time (Mexico). But, he did well when given time. So, that works in his favor. I want to see what his flaws are and what he can do playing full 90 minutes and he has to do that at the club level for 90 minutes.
listen, if the half bosandzero is the real deal and Kovac thinks he can make an impact, then bring him. But, I rather leave him off the roster until he makes Barca’s main roster.
@Živa
Rebić didn’t show anything at Fiorentina, but was called up for the World Cup and played really well.
If Halilović is talented and playing decent for Barca B… Then why not try him out despite him not playing for the A squad yet?
You keep chewing out players like Rakitić who play well for their club but poorly for Cro, but at the same time you have this strict requirement that they must play well for their club first, before getting a chance with the repka.
If a player has shown that he can play in a position of need or a position where our current players are not producing on par with what they’ve been doing at club level, then they’re worth calling up at least in a friendly or as a late sub in a qualifier.
Sweet win today. Well done.
@German Croat Kovac – I watched almost every Benfica game last season. Lazar Markovic is the greatest talent the Serbs have produced since Dragan Stojkovic.
He has skill, speed and desire. Have to disagree with you.
As far as Hajduk is concerned – I know the fans were against the Americans buying the team last season ( the defensive lineman Suh from The Detroit Lions was part of it), but, they desperately need stability, a good structure and a new way of operating in that organization.
This was their chance to do be on a proper road like Rijeka and leave the intimidating Mafia-style way of management to Dinamo.
As it currently stands, they are heavily influenced by the Torcida. All they currently do is put out fires and go day to day to survive – no long term vision. More of a cult/gang atmosphere right now instead of a proper club.
Realistically, the most they can achieve is to be a good feeder club, like Porto, Benfica, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, and some of the French and Belgium clubs – but they are a far cry from that.
Fans of those teams take great pride in knowing they constantly produce great talent. James Rodriguez (Porto – Monaco), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Ajax) Angel DiMaria (Benfica), Eden Hazard (Lille), Radamel Falcao (Porto), etc. bring great amounts of money to these clubs which keeps them solvent.
If Hajduk could hold on to their talent longer, they could make much more money, but, right now everything in Croatia is done on a much smaller scale – a victim of the poor quality of the league and the HNS not doing enough to help the clubs.
Nice to see what is happening to Rijeka right now. Need that to start happening with the 8 other clubs.
So, nobody is following the Aab vs Dinamo Champions League qualifying match?
Wasn’t Vidic washed up last year with Man U.
And unless Chicharito is going up against the Croatian backline and Pletikosa, I’ll take a wait and see approach with him at Inter.
persicic sucks
all soccer games r rigged dumbasses
Chicharito to Inter. Should be a great season for them and I can’t wait to see the hook up between him and Mateo. And with Vidic there I like where they’re going.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2144988-inter-milan-transfer-news-chicharito-move-key-to-bolstering-nerazzuri-attack
shame to hear about perisic. his progress has been derailed by injury before.
finally got healthy and was hitting his stride
could have taken it up another notch at the start of this season
who breaks a shoulder playing soccer?
@Ziva
It is what it is. They only have themselves to blame for this mess.
Oj,očete li imati i head to head ligu,da se malo bockamo,ne samo na dosadne bodove?
Lazar Markovic will be the next Milan Jovanovic at Liverpool. FLOP.
Opps, here is the read……
what so you fans of jadan, mali i nemocan hajduk?????
http://www.index.hr/sport/clanak/skoblar-za-index-hajduk-je-danas-nula-a-ponasanje-onog-cinkera-malesa-bilo-je-sramotno/762766.aspx
Let the kid show something at Barca before he is brought up to the repka. Right now, he hasn’t done shit to warrant a call up. We all know the potential is there for something special. But, let him earn it at Barca. Nothing should be handed to him.
Also, another good read about the current state of jadan, mali i nemocan hajduk (remember, they don’t deserve a capital “H”). This time by Josip Skoblar……Only thing I really disagree with him about is Males, but he makes good points.
I keep syayng it, the only answer for jadan, mali i nemocan hajduk is for it to fall into complete bankruptcy and start all over in the third division of Cro soccer. So, what so you fans of jadan, mali i nemocan hajduk?????
@ Allen …
I am OUTRAGED!
Ćorluka is slow as Bozic. Need to pair Lovren with another athlete who can play a high line to move the creative midfield up the pitch.
Time to throw in Halilovic in for Perisic. The kid is ready and we need to stop the conservative BS.
PLAY the phenom NOW!
If Perisic is back October, that would be great. November at minimum for Italy.
…and Liverpool has signed Lazar Markovic from Benfica to replace Luis Suarez.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artem_Milevskiy
Hajduk’s new signing – two time Ukrainian player of the year, over 50 caps for the national team, but, has had his troubles off the field as of late.

Perisic will miss the beginning of the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign for Croatia.
I’m part Aussie, so I love you already Kreso.
@Allen
Bring it on bitch, can we finally have some fun on this site!
After this great WC in general for soccer (football), my love is back and I’m going to commit to this.
I have sighned up, if you don’t beat me sram te bilo, da cu te batine!
