Game on! Dinamo shook up the HNL table Sunday with a last second win over Rjeka at Maksimir. Fran Brodić converted a 94′ penalty kick to lift Dinamo to a 1-0 victory. With Hajduk dropping points on Saturday, that means Rijeka, Hajduk, and Dinamo are now all within three points of each other for the HNL crown. Dinamo will surely close that gap with their game in hand. With 12 rounds remaining in the Croatian season, the title may go down to the final match of the season.
Dinamo 1-0 Rijeka
Varaždin 1-1 Hajduk
Lokomotiva 1-1 Osijek
Istra 2-1 Rudeš
Gorica 1-0 Slaven
.Pogba 4-year doping ban
Will FIFA look retroactively at 2018 finals
And if they can “prove” Pogba was doping (I doubt he started y’day)
Can they disqualify France and award Croatia as winner / gold medal (similar to what they do at Olympics)
Thoughts ???
Agreed, some competitive parity on top this year is refreshing.
I’ve really started getting into the HNL this season – having three teams so close at the top instead of the usual snoozefest in recent years of Dinamo leading by 15 points or so, has made a difference to levels of interest in the league from what I can see. Plus the big signings for Hajduk and the first ever Panini HNL sticker album released in Croatia has helped increase the HNL’s visibility.
Here’s hoping the title goes down to the wire on the final day (and that Hajduk win it of course – although that’s now looking less likely…), which would be great for Croatian football and the HNL product whichever of Hajduk, Rijeka or Dinamo end up as champions.
If Rijeka was to win in Zagreb against Dinamo it would be a huge step towards winning the title. As a Hajduk fan I’m hoping for a draw.
ako si hajdukovac onda žao mi je. kupiti suca i sve će biti bolje. samo pogledajte gol koji je sudac dozvolio protiv hajduka danas. jeste gubitnici ili kako vi amerikanci govorite, LOSERS
Nisam amerikanac born in Croatia and do not live in North America. I watched the match and have no problem with the Varteks goal. Hajduk complaining about the possible foul on Livaja prior to the goal ? the decision could have gone either way. Hajduk is just hopeless, played almost the entire second half 11 v 10 and failed to create one clear cut chance. As you say LOSERS.
