Are these the new Croatian tops?
CroatianSports.com’s own Mihovil has unveiled that there’s been a leak on the internet regarding possible new Nike kits for the upcoming Euro 2012 tournament in Poland and Ukraine. The above shirts could very well be what Croatia will be wearing at the Euro Championships, however, nothing has officially been confirmed yet.
There’s only so much Croatia can do with the home kit. The red and white checkers are a staple of our nation and the repka in international soccer. However, a modern-day Nike kit paying tribute to the third place finish at the 1998 World Cup still hasn’t been produced. When will that happen? Below is the closest we’ve seen to any ’98 Lotto redesign.
Fan Illustration for Nike shirt
BUT WHAT IF CROATIA WENT WITH ADIDAS?
Croatian checkers with some Spanish flair
Wear do you rank these mock Adidas tops compared to Nike of past and present?
This is supposedly what the new kit will look like, I agree with the previous comment though, I like adidas designed kit, they usually never disappoint. Our national handball teams are outfitted in adidas. I like the 3 stripes always in the scheme of things, sort of reminds me of our 3 accents. http://soccerreviews.com/news/wikikitleaks-nike-euro-2012-edition/
The top 2 nike versions look hideous. Nike has got to go. The ’98 versions were not soccer jerserys, but polo shirts. My least favourite of them all. The Adidas attempts look like he’s on the right track for first sketch. We need to step it up a notch or two, something new, refreshing. A new era. Always liked Adidas jerseys best.
Onaj iz 98′, ali nike replika je savršen !!!
I am all for the black jersey great idea!
@HNK DAL….
We would only wear the the black when we play in Serbia!
oh god these are terrible, i dont know if i can decide which one is ugliest…
can we PLEASE fire nike already!?
sometimes innovation isnt good, why fix something that wasnt broke? i say we go with the classic shirts from 98
@ Mark the black alternate really like we should also put a big U instead of the croatian HNS! NO ALL white withe sahovnice on shoulder or arms and a blue with same pattern
@ EVERYONE:
Anyone who expresses pro-jugo sentiment is completely ignorant to the point where they shouldn’t even be acknowledged. End of story.
The Nike jerseys are obviously Photoshopped by an amateur seemingly just messing around trying to get some kicks. He did.
The smaller checkered sleeves are an unappealing approach to trying a different pattern. It looks like they ran out of the large checkered fabric before attaching the sleeves so they used a smaller pattern to finish the job. It looks odd.
The Blue jersey is just pathetic. They need to stick with the checkers being just an accent to the blue, e.g. running under the armpits down like the ’08’s or the entire sleeves like the current ones.
I think there should be an alternative 3rd kit which would be black. They don’t need to use any blue. Just black with checkered sleeves and a slight gold outline.
I’d pay $500 for a jersey like that!
@ pissed off
calling someone a partizan is your perogative although if you read and have read posts on this site for the past year or so you will find many people here love when something bad happens to Dinamo and are the first to scrutinize, criticize and then slag Dinamo for any and every reason possible…I think the fact that most but not all dalmatinci are Hajduk fans is the very reason they are visibly and vocally anti Dinamo! I have lived in Croatia myself and know the deep hatred between BBB and Torcida fans isn’t just on the surface…its not a joke!
@ Armada87 – I appreciate you understanding dude! I love Croatia along with all the diversities, differences in our regions and traditions, customs and many other things…most of all what really gets under my skin is that we are all Croatian from different part and with a different history…it just isn’t right for us to divide each other and make comments or references about how somebody else’s side has an association with something our parents and grandparents were against! The guys that put up this site did so to “Unite Croatian fans around the World” and I think they have done an amazing job….I think banter is healthy but theres a difference in banter and disrespect. I know you understand this Armada…but some here hav proven different!
@pissed off
True that!
@slavonac, then your dalmatinac friend is a partizan
@slavonac, dalmatinci would rather cheer for partizan than dinamo? bunch of bullshit that comment is. when dinamo pumped partizan 5:0 in 97 i was in cro at that time and on the coast, every person told me that everyone is cherring for dinamo
@DannyJ
Here, Here Brate! All these fools promoting that crap should be ashamed of themselves
@ Slavonac
I get you dude and my mistake for flinging it around. I get the same way if people (Italians usually) throw around the idea of Dalmacija and Istra as part of a Greater Italy. When people say shit like that, I wish they could open up those old foibe in Istra and throw whoever says that in them!
@ Armada – I don’t like it when people dig any Croatian team when it comes to anything related to Yugo or crap like that…banter is fine and normal but any reference to Yugo shit pisses the living shit outta me. There could have been some other analogy…why Yugo…thats not a coincidence and I’m probably a little sensitive with how easily people fling that crap around!
per your watching/knowledge comments…I’m not going to lecture you on knowledge…I think its good you watch and follow although knowledge comes in many forms…I think many people think they know a lot but actually understand very little, I’m not saying you do or dont…I’m just basing my previous comment on what I previously read and cause you pissed me off about the Dinamo dig! We shouldn’t go there with each other and say shit like that…everobody is sensitive about it and I’m sure you are as well!
I don’t care for Dinamo’s politics…I love the team and hope for the best! on that note…I’m not a fool to not know they are corrupt…so are many teams if not all in our league!
I bet none of you even lived in yugoslavia so dont comment on stuff you dont know. Our beloved 98 team won the WC 1987 and all played for yugoslavia. The logic on this forum is that if you were for yugoslavia that you cannot be for croatia. That means the1998 team were not for croatian stop it please thats who it was Boban scored the game winner 1987 and celebrated like crazy are people gonna tell me they hate boban for that? cuz they played for yugo that how it was back than you idiots.
@Slavonac
Thanks for the dig, pal. Let’s sift through your ramblings and see what sense we can make it of it all, shall we?
#1 – Stupid and uneducated comments, huh? I like to consider myself pretty educated when it comes to football. I watch as many HNL games as I can. I catch all the CL games that my schedule allows me and I’ve caught almost every NT game since 96-97. Plus not to mention, I check out various croatian football and general football sites. And I know my fair share of croatian soccer history.
#2 – If you read my comment and didn’t skim through it, like I’m guessing you did, I never compared the actual Dinamo team to Jugoslavija. All I said was the jersey reminded me of Dinamo’s solid blue kit and Jugoslavija’s old solid blue kit. It’s different colors, hue’s, etc. Blah, blah, blah. I think most people on this site and other Croatian sites and forums would agree that both kits lack creativity. Nike could of done a better job.
#3 – Unlike your Dalmatinac homey, I actually root for Dinamo in Europe. Whether I like it or not, on a club football level, they have been and will continue to be the face of Croatian soccer. So when I talk to non-Croats, while most don’t know jack about Rijeka and other mid table teams, everyone knows who Dinamo is and that’s what I usually talk about. Dinamo does have a lot of history and is the most successful club in Croatia, without a doubt. But this regime and mafia that are governing and leading Dinamo make my stomach turn and if you’re a Dinamo fan, you can agree to that and even poke fun at it, like I do from time to time. Dinamo have the potential to be A LOT better, but because of clowns like Mamic, Kruno Jurcic, etc. Dinamo gets embarrassed in CL, when with the right leadership, coach and make some smart transfers, Dinamo could be a bit more competitive.
I’m a Rijeka fan and make the same comments about them. Our team is straight TRASH this year. Our higher-ups are probably going to have to let go of some of our better youngsters, since financially, we’re hurting – like most mid table HNL teams. Did I mention we lost a Europa League game a few years to a Luxembourg squad made up mostly of AMATUERS?! Yeah. We’re fucking AWEOME…
You can go ahead and rant and rave about whatever shit is bugging you. Next time, you can take a dig at someone who doesn’t know shit and visits this site cause they watch the odd NT game and thats it. You’re barking up the wrong tree, brate.
@ Ziva – that 98 team had several players that won the U20 world cup for Yugo. I agree that very few played for each other at the senior level but that league was far better than what we have today…by a landslide victory! By no means am I suggesting we join with the Serbs…but from a total soccer perspective it may be healthier…on another note, I never want to see a bunch of Cedo’s moving to and being signed by Croatian teams….it would be a first step to what could be another round of Yugo…ewwww…just thinking of it makes my stomach turn.
as per the stupid comments I read about the uniforms reminding people of Yugo and Dinamo…far too many of you take cheap shots at Dinamo and then often make ignorant relations to and examples like …this Armada87 clown is a perfect example…and on that note he seems to make a lot of stupid and uneducated comments PERIOD! F%#@ it pisses me off to see people relate a TRUE CROATIAN TEAM to a freakin communist regime! Even going back to Dinamo in the CL…the league is terrible but they qualified…thats an accomplishment in itself! why can’t Croatians support a Croatian team? I remember several years ago my dalmatinac friend told me…he said “we dalmatinci would rather cheer for Partizan if the were playing against Dinamo”…thats just retarded!
“One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.”
Plato
@Ante B., there is a book titled: ‘Why Johnny Can’t Think’, America’s Professor-Priesthood.
Also, I was just thinking about Vukovar, and it made me think of William ‘Tecumseh’ Sherman’s ‘march to the sea’ – when he and his Union army completely destroyed the entire state of Georgia; it was a scorched earth policy never seen before in Western warfare. And Sherman actually liked the Southern people, he had spent alot of time there and had many Southern friends (before the Civil War of course). Go’s to show you how fucked up war is; “war is politics by other means” – Carl von Clausewitz. So I completely understand why the Southern man hates the USA and why the Croatian man hates Yugoslavia.

@Denis
Thanks for presenting us with your email from nike. It wouldve been nice to know something a little more conclusive, but thats expected, when regarding contracts and the parties involved. They want that to remain confidential.
Thanks for trying anyway.
I would like to believe that the contract expies soon, and that we will see hrvatska represented by someone else come 2014.
I understand why the savez made that long term contract in the year 2000. Nike made them a offer they couldnt refuse at the time, and they unhesitatingly accepted.
I have only purchased two croatia nike jerseys in total, and if they want my business they better come up with fresher more innovative designs to their shirts in the future.
@Mihovil
Thats exactly my point on why we souldnt have an all checkered out jersey. That means we cant use it, even on our home soil if the opposing team wears red and white home and away kits. eg: england, turkey, switzerland, austria, serbia. Then i hate the fact they get precedence to wear their home kit and we resort to an away strip.
Best solution to combat this is do exactly what you said, turn the blue jersey with checks running down the sides into a white or red kit and make that our home strip, while keeping the blue for away games only.
Makes sense to me. I think we are the only team in the world whom play home games in away strips.
@Toni and everyone else interested in the Croatian Nike contract
Last year, I spent hours trying to figure out Croatia’s Nike contract and actually got through to a Nike representative after persistently seeking more information.
Unfortunately, Nike’s lips were sealed. Here is that email:

Denis,
This is *****, we were in touch a while back during World Cup. Your questions around the Crotia National Team came back to me through *****. As you know, we are not at liberty to discuss the specifics around our contract with Croatia. With this in mind, we are able to provide you with the statement below. Let me know if you have any additional questions:
“Nike has enjoyed a great partnership with the Croatia federation for the last 10 years and we are confident this will be the case in the future as well.”

Hello ******,
Thanks for getting back to me regarding Croatia and Nike. I was hoping to get a little more information from Nike, however I understand and respect their policy. If allowed, can you tell me when does Croatia’s contract with Nike expire? From talks with Croatian media and officials, chances are that Croatia will extend.
I won’t bother you again regarding this issue.
Thanks for your time,

No worries, Denis, this isn’t a bother. Just hard working with sports marketing to get any details. At the moment, this was all that they had to offer so my apologies, but seems like this will be all we get from them. Let me know if I can help in any other way.
Thanks and best,

@ marshal,
Mi Ameri-hrvati smo vise pametni nego vi jugoslaveni, nase roditelji su zivjeli u taj jebeni jugo. Nisi mogu pjevati lijepa NASA, nisi mogu hr zastavu Imati, znamo me sto znaci jugoslavia, I onaj jebeni Tito, it udba, I svi ONI komunisti ko su unistili hr. Evo sta hrvatska treba, da svi iz dijaspore vratimo, jer znamo kako je zivot tamo i ovamo.
without turning into politics discussion, i just wanted to say shame on those who would want a yugo team and yugo league. look how many people had to die over how many hundreds of years and you want to just say ok, well we would have a good soccer team. fuck that, seems to me we do just fine ALONE on the pitch
ditto just about everyones comments… i personally can’t say i have a good knowledge of how it was back in yugo days but i am 30 now and from when i can remember i was only taught i was croatian and yugo may as well been the boogie man from my parents who were raised in communist shite so ill have to take their word on how shit it was
anyways, bring back the classics… lovin the eduardo retro one, nike sucks ass. 08 aways were nice, but im sure they wouldn’t bring back those as they wouldn’t make the money on changing a checker here and there, they need to change it up enough but that new away is ugly as sin
That NIKE away shirt is a travesty. A child could design something better. What’s with the identical red collars on home and away shirts? The home isn’t all that better either with the smaller sleeve checkers the only innovation (if you can call it that). That makes two away shirts in a row from NIKE I won’t buy because of how shit they are. Unbelieveable. Anyone know how long NIKE has the rights to HNS shirts? Bring back Lotto, or sign with Puma or Adidas!!!
PS. how heavy was the štafeta and how proud were you to deliver it? majku vam komunjarsku.
@Wallace, I had to use terms you were familiar with, that’s all…and even you can admit that you have a hard-on for the mommy and daddy professor line.
Also, to the guy who said we, Cro-Americans, don’t know what life was like back in Yugo. You are absolutely right, for 99% of us. There are some of us, however, who might’ve not necessarily worn the scarf, hat, and petokraka with Tito’s picture in the background but know what it was like. To further that point, it is my contention that there are a lot of us on here who know, have worked, spent a decent amount of time, lived, breathed, pay taxes, vote and know what life is like in today’s Croatia. Get off of your high horse, you picked the wrong group of guys to try to discourage.
Ex YU nogometna repka was the world champion in friendly matches, but you could count on them choking in official, let alone “decisive” games. Good technique, but utter lack of discipline and character. Don’t miss them at all!
@Ante B., this is what I said a few comments above: ‘I can understand why many of my fellow Croats hate Serbs, especially and specifically the ones who lost family members and/or friends in the war.’
didn’t you read that?
@Ante B., fair enough. Never is a long time tho; I imagine when a Scott saw his family massacred by the English, he thought never would England and Scotland be part of the same country – which is understandable of course. We are just talking about a soccer league. And I love it how people are using our terms: “mommy professor”….haha – awesome!
And yes, Yugoslavia NEVER again; and Croatia FOREVER. You see through 1,000 years Croatia didn’t have independence and fought many a war, some won, some lost, but she remained a Nation…The only thing that could destroy her is immigration and assimilation.
Wallace: never again in the same league with them, ever. Go to Vukovar once and you’ll understand. Until then, tišina. I’m sure mommy and daddy professor taught you to actually go and visit these places instead of what you learned in the classroom.
Ziva Istina: “Now, there are some hrvati who did cheer for yugo, who rooted them on during Spain 82, who supported the yugo Olympians in in LA 84. And now these same people claim they love croatia”
That would be the equivalent of a Southern White rooting for the USA in the Olympics, but loving the Confederacy more than the USA. There is no Confederate Olympic team. So I don’t really see anything wrong with a Croat rooting for Yugoslavian sports team in the 80’s.
AnteB: “Too many of our boys died on the battlefield for us to ever be in a league with any ex-Yu country ever again.”
I disagree Ante; the English and Scottish had many wars, various Germanic tribes had wars against eachother, Bavarians (Germans) had wars with Prussians (Germans), etc, etc, etc…….
As you may know, I’m against multiCULTism, so naturally I’m against Yugoslavia, the Soviet Union, etc. However, an alliance between soveriegn Nations will be the future, and they will be linked based on race/posterity and heritage: we share similar anthropology, history, migration routes, from even ancient times.
to answer some of the questions posed…..
Yes Yugo produced some great players and on paper what appeared to be some great teams. But, they never played for each other, they never played for the flag and they never played for their country. Ask the guys from the 98 team who also played for yugo on the difference. Now, you might argue that yugo produced results in other sports. Yes, they did. Yugo won titles in water polo and basketball, but the level of competition back then in those sports was much less than it is today.
My old man and those he associated with shaped my views and he never rooted for yugoslavia in any sport or in anything else. He watched, he paid attention and he was aware of what they did, but he never rooted for yugo. Now, there are some hrvati who did cheer for yugo, who rooted them on during Spain 82, who supported the yugo Olympians in in LA 84. And now these same people claim they love croatia……sranje
I never want to see a regional league with those bastards or have any sports association with them.
And for those of you in Cro that are reading this and claim we have no idea what the old yugo was like…..correct, some of us don’t, but some of us do. Easy to love a lifestyle where you were not required to do any hard work but relied on an unfair system.
TGC: “So much hate from some of you guys man, it’s a bit sickening. To be fair, if the Balkan teams actually did match up their squads and were able to coexist, we would be a absolute powerhouse.”
I can understand why many of my fellow Croats hate Serbs, especially and specifically the ones who lost family members and/or friends in the war. However, I think alot of people have no understanding of history and geopolitics and just need their mindless “two minutes hate” – which is what I believe you (TGC) are referring to. There’s nothing wrong with hate and anger if justified and channeled properly. Last, having a love for one’s own people/one’s own race is not “hate”. A Black man who would agree to bring in hundreds of millions of non-Blacks into all Black countries and ONLY Black countries AND THEN ALSO agree to “assimilate” his own people out of existence really fuckin “hates” is own people.
dr: “@goldenchild i think you are most deffinently wrong bcuz this isnt even that great of a generation if you look back at the players that came out of yugoslavia before they were way better than now and they never won anyhting… plain and simple bcuz they wouldnt play for eachother”
I think you’re right about why Yugoslavia never lived up to expectations considering all the talent – I believe that may be the reason why Spain had the same problem: remember, the Spanish had a civil war not too long ago and have different peoples and cultures w/i the geopolitical entity know as the country of Spain. I don’t know enough to comment on whether there was alot more talent in the past as compared to now in the former Yugo republics, but their sure is alot of talent now; I’d like to see some of you list an allstar team, would Zdeko be a starting forward?
marshal where do you live?
@goldenchild i think you are most deffinently wrong bcuz this isnt even that great of a generation if you look back at the players that came out of yugoslavia before they were way better than now and they never won anyhting… plain and simple bcuz they wouldnt play for eachother… still even saying that croatians for me would fill up most of the starting 11 if there was still yugoslavia especially in the midfield
@AnteB
Man, with you I never know these days. Lol.
I majored in philosophy. “Stalno philosophiram”.
I agree with your latter comment.
Euro 96 white and World Cup 98 blue are by far the best two jerseys Croatia has ever had, in my opinion.
I was also quite fond of the blue Euro 08 jerseys (which was basically a throwback to the 98 blue).
@TheGoldenChild,
Did they teach you sarcasm at LMU? I would’ve thought the picture of Ante Pavelic on the jersey would give it away.
This next comment is not sarcastic: the answer is always a NO to a regional league with ex-Yu countries. Too many of our boys died on the battlefield for us to ever be in a league with any ex-Yu country ever again. A regional league with other non ex-yu teams would be a good idea but nobody would ever vouch for that. Do you think Austria or Hungary would want to join us?
So much hate from some of you guys man, it’s a bit sickening. To be fair, if the Balkan teams actually did match up their squads and were able to coexist, we would be a absolute powerhouse. Just look at the squads, then think about it for a little, then get back to me if you still think I’m wrong….with a valid and intelligent argument besides “fuck those guys man”
@Ante B
You really think they are going to put =U= on their jerseys? It’s a suicide attempt on every level. All that’s going to come from that is negativity. Believe me, I get where you are coming from, but no way is that ever going to happen.
I like the Adidas Eduardo jerseys. Nice and sleek. Not sure what they would do with the blues, that’s what I’m more interested to see.
euro 96 white jersey is the best jersey we ever had! lets bring it back!
who is this dejan fello? there is no WE you dum ass!!!!! you only wish that ” WE” exsisted because then you would have something to cheer for in the game of soccer because your team just plain SUCKS again you DUM ASS
@ante b. that would be awesome for your idea… i like our jerseys and for the blue i dont know how that is yugo looking bcuz it has croatian checkers on it… the eduardo one is awesome too not crazy about the Adidas though ps:best soccer players come from livno… suker, kovac bros., and klasnic 😉 from yours truly, anthony nevistic
fuck yugoslavia zivjela samo HRVATSKA!!
The collared Eduardo jersey is by far the best of the bunch – those should be ’12 White jerseys. As for the Blue, I’d go with something very similar to ’98 or ’08.
YUGOSLAVIA! ALL THE WAY…I WISH BOSNIANS, SERBIANS AND CROATIANS WERE IN TEH SAME TEAM AGIAN…WE WOULD DESTROY!!
The comparison between our potentially new away jersey being similar to that of the old place jersey and a Dinamo jersey I do not see. However, with my fondness for alcoholic beverages over the years my brain cells and my color palette are not as good as they used to be. 🙂
@Shinobi
Agreed 100%. From a creative perspective there is much more that can be done with our home jersey and your vision for the home and away jerseys are excellent. For the home jersey I would just take the Euro 2008 blue away jersey and invert it. The blue is now white, keep the checkers down the side with a little more gold thrown in here and there since the shirt is now white. If someone said that idea above, all apologies. Kurt Cobain. 🙂
@DinamoDennis
It would have been nice to have our home shirts on when we play the Chetniks in WC Qualifiers coming up. The way it stands now it cannot happen. It would not be hard to modify the home shirt in order to have this work. Maybe a third jersey as well? We do have our centenary in June as well, you would figure something would be done from a marketing perspective?
@ARMADA87
Exactly!
@croatiansports.com
I am not sure if there is interest in what I am suggesting, but maybe consider having a “Design the Jersey” contest? It does not have to be anything special or even a contest for that matter. It would be cool to see what the Photoshop people out there or anyone out there can come up with. Willing to bet it would be better than Nike. 🙂
I’ve already tried to ask HNS if they would incorporate a =U= somewhere on their jersey and maybe a silhouette of Ante Pavelic: denied. F’ing komunjari.
it’s never been about fashion for me..But c’mon, a little creativity never hurt no one
“…sad je moderno nositi kockasto…”
Does a kit have to have all checkers though? Like our past 3 home shirts? We design them a bit different and still have a majority of the shirt be checkers.
The obsession with the checkered kit is that thats how people recognize Croatia. If you dotn know much about soccer but see the checkers you knwo its croatia.
I don’t get the obsession with an all checkered kit either. I like the checkers and it definitely has to feature predominantly on our home kit. But with the last 2-3 home kits we’ve had, there’s barely any difference in them! A few minor ones, but they all look the same to me! Doesn’t it make sense, from a business standpoint, to maybe introduce a different design every so often? To boost kit sales? Maybe do a throw back type kit with hints from the 96 or 98 home kits? Maybe incorporate some black into the home kits again?
Every so often, Nike comes out with decent kits (I like our Euro 2008 kits) but most of the time, Nike misses the mark.
There is plenty more they can do for the home kits. I know the checks are synonymous with our culture and should be incorporated in our soccer kits, but does it have to be full blown checker board checks on our home shirt? Cant there be some sort of compromise? why cant we have something like the euro 96 white shirt with checkers only comprising along the sleeves as our home shirt? Is there some written rule that we have to have to be fully checkered out? I mean our early home kits were just red were they not? and why should our away kit always be blue? Other nations change up their colours for home and away. eg: Brazil started with a fully white kit before they changed to yellow, germany were famous for wearing the green away kits, but thats also changed nowadays, england, russija, france and spain also alternate their colours on their away jerseys on a regular basis. So there is no reason why we cannot. I would love to see a red away shirt instead of the blue.
@ARMADA87 Some black added would be nice, i believe croatia did have black incorparated in their kits at the failed 2000 euro qualifiers.
@Nizic@DinamoDennis Trust me adidas would do it much better, this is just a fans prototype version, not original adidas, so you cant judge this poor attempt.
@Ziva Istina I dont see the resemblance to dinamo or yugoslavias shirts either. Yugoslavia did have some nice looking jerseys though. I dont like what it stood for, but i do appreciate a well designed shirt.
My vision for croatia home and away.
Home: White shirt with checks incorparated on the sleeves or the sides of the shirt. White shorts with checkered lines on each side. white socks with checkered hoop around the top part of the socks.
Away: Red shirt. White shorts. Blue socks.
Sponsor: Hummel, Puma, Adidas, or lotto.
Best home jersey: 1996 home white
Best away jersey: 1998 away blue
To you guys who think the jugo and Dinamo blue are the same and it’s hideous, I wonder what you must think about the crosports.com icon dawning a blue jersey. Yowza.
That “Eduardo” shirt (second from the top of the page) looks fantastic! Classic design, and unlike the others, not cluttered. Personally, I would add this one to my collection but none of the others.
I guess I just don’t see it for the people comparing the blue jersey with dinamo’s blue or the old jugo jerseys.
Differnt shade of blue in my eyes.
Don’t like the Adidas…….Noo wayyyy……
The “leaked” ones are the best…the blue one especialy!! Really nice!!
Addidas ones are gross!! To busy!
The tribute ones are a nice idea but look way to cold compared to the 98 ones with flolowing squars!
It’s funny. I’ve seen some beautiful fantasy Croatia kits created and posted on the net. Some that even incorporated some black into the kit, which would be an awesome look for us. Shit, even the kits posted along with this post as better than the ones leaked. Apparently, the ‘pros’ at Nike can’t design a decent kit for shit.
@ Svircic
Dinamo and Jugoslavia are exactly what came to mind for me too when looking at that away kit. Hideous. Just about as bad as those away kits we wear now. Nike really has to go. I’m not a fan of any of the kits they released for 2012-2013. No creativeness and very bland. Hopefully the training gear is somewhat decent and not a disaster.
Look at what the handball teams has, they are by adidas. That is an example of what a soccer jersey would like from adidas.
have to agree with dennis the way the blue adidas looks reminds me of yugo so for that reason alone thumbs down!
I like both the blue shirts, but I’ve always preferred the traditional checkers ONLY on the home shirt. I’d stay with the Nike kits.
The 98 Eduardo shirt is majestic!
Jugoslavia!!!!!!! Peace and unity among the Balkan people.
either way, im buying the new jersey when its out
I don’t mind the traditional checkered home shirt. The smaller checkers on the sleeves work well with me. However, the blue shirt is terrible. Reminds me of Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuugo and Dinamo. Sorry Dinamo fans for putting those two in the same sentence.

I do like the Eduardo #9 shirt with the collar. By far my favorite shirt.
