Going into Tuesday night’s game against Malta, Croatia did not control their own destiny for automatic qualification to Euro 2016. They needed to beat the Maltese AND have Italy defeat OR draw Norway. And it didn’t look good for Croatia early as Norway would score in the 23rd minute off an Alexander Tettey strike from outside the box.
Italy was already qualified; the game meant nothing to them; but they would not go away. With the match still in Norway’s favor (1-0) in the 73rd minute, a huge defensive blunder at the back enabled Alessandro Florenzi to tap the ball in the back of the net to tie up the game after some miscommunication between the Norway goalie and defender. Graziano Pelle would end Norway’s dream of automatically qualifying nine minutes later with a fine left-footed strike and with Croatia winning in Malta, Italy once again saved their Adriatic neighbors.
What do I mean by again?
Let’s track back to World Cup 2014 qualifying.
The cardiac Croatians were at it again and could not finish qualifying on a strong note. In their last three matches, Croatia drew Serbia and lost to Belgium and Scotland.
Why is this important?
If you remember, only the best eight 2nd place teams made the playoff that campaign. With Croatia withering to be one of those teams and Italy once again qualified, all Denmark needed was a win against Italy on October 11th, 2013 and a win a few days later against Malta to secure a playoff spot and end Croatia’s World Cup dream.
And with Denmark up 2-1 in injury time at home, Alberto Aquilani scored to force a 2-2 draw and keep Croatia’s World Cup hopes alive.
Aquilani scores off his knee cap
And because of that goal, Denmark would drop two vital points, Croatia would sneak into the playoffs, defeat Iceland and ultimately open up the World Cup against Brazil.
Croatia has needed help just to simply qualify for these tournaments as of late. And it’s been Italy to the rescue for the Vatreni. So next time you’re hanging out with Italian buddies talking life, soccer, whatever.
A simple ‘Grazie’ should be in order.
——————————————————————
HRVATSKA Starting XI: Subašić; Srna, Ćorluka, Vida, Pivarić; Badelj, Kovačić, Perišić, Rakitić, Pjaca; Kalinić
Today, Croatia finds out if they’re going straight to France or have to qualify through a November playoff.
The sad part.
The Vatreni would have already been given a pass into the tournament as the best 3rd place team (no matter what happens Tuesday) if they weren’t given a 1-point deduction for the ‘swastika match’ against Italy in June at Poljud.
Hungary have already locked up that spot. Not that 3rd place is anything to be proud of with the raw talent that a team like Croatia has.
So how does Croatia qualify automatically for Euro 2016?
Croatia must:
Win at Malta AND have Norway lose/draw at Italy. If Norway defeats Italy Tuesday night in Rome, Croatia is going to a playoff. And in a must win game, I think we can safely expect Croatia to beat Malta. So all of us will be watching the Norway scoreline. I personally think the Italians will draw 1-1. All the pressure is on Norway at this point. They must score in Rome.
Should Croatia fall short, they would be a seeded team for the November playoffs. Possible teams to play would be Ireland, Turkey, Sweden or Slovenia (based on today’s FIFA rankings.)
And who wants to be drawn against a hungry Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sweden, who missed out on the World Cup in Brazil through a playoff loss to Portugal?
^ ^
Nice video and great tune!
THIS IS TORCIDA – ENGLAND ’96
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Svab2uWCIhw
Aleksandar Holiga is a subversive element and should be dealt with accordingly by legal means. When Croats regain power in Croatia (coming veeeery soon).
By the way, Torcida, the core that revived the supporters’ group in the 1980’s has already booked its arrangements in France. I will remind all of you that Torcida, and Nesvrstani before them, basically invented organized support in what was once Yugoslavia.
They were ALL Croatian patriots and nationalists. By the same logic, they have booked their arrangements for EURO ’16.
Take your boycotts and shove them where the sun don’t shine.
@ Slavonac
Did Mamic own Ciro and Bilic as well?
Also, did Mamic have a big part in the golden generation during Euro 96 and WC 1998?
Did a lot of the players from ” the golden generation ” from WC 1998 get along with Mamic or did they just not give a shit about Mamic ?
Interesting theory: http://www.portaloko.hr/clanak/projekt-svastika-sdpov-pakleni-plan-rusenja-hrvatskog-nogometnog-saveza/0/79364/
I thought the article was good but it misses a ton of important facts.
here, this Zoric guy says how Mamic got involved in Dinamo but doesn’t explain how? I think we all have to know how Mamic got in…this seems a bit to loose for me.
“His chance for a breakthrough finally came in the 1980s through his friendship with then-manager Miroslav Ciro Blazevic who allowed him a foothold into the club, a foothold which he has never relinquished since”.
once again, I most likely agree with what this guy is saying but the real issue to me is HOW? How did Mamic gain power unless others helped him:
“Though Blazevic’s reign at the club came to an end (for the third time) in 1993, Mamic remained and grew bigger and bigger in his omnipotence to the point where he now seems immune to law enforcement with the league bowing to his feet despite much pushback from fans of Dinamo and other clubs.”
one of my biggest beef’s with Mamic is how stupid he acts and how mentally challenged he looks…and yet, after all the threats and controversial comments he’s made, the law stands by and watches…a lawless country allowing one man to behave like a tyrant…who’s the idiot in all this?
Zoric says this about Boban…”Many Croatian fans see Boban as the ideal CFF President due to his popularity within the nation, but laments the fact that Boban is hesitant to throw his name into the ring due to the widespread knowledge that he’d be entering a highly corrupt political arena, despite his knowledge of the nation and love of Croatian football”
I have a question…did any of you know that Boban was given a lot of property in ZG…apartments, small buildings and properties? Did you know how he got those properties? anyone care to guess? Dinamo and the relationship with HDZ gave Boban a lot, how do I know? I know through my connections in ZG…can I prove this…NO…but this has been info known by many. why is this important? because Boban just came out and said the he would vote for SDP and Milanovic…the opposition to HDZ and Dinamo!
this article was written by an American Croatian (from MN) and I give him top marks for this, the guy did a great job. He got much of his info from another American Croat…from LA, I’m guessing a friend of the boys down in San Pedro. a key point we should all consider is that Anthony, the guy that actually provided the info, is not living in Croatia, is an avid Hajduk fan and is offering his opinion…saying many things we all hear and read about daily. its not like this guy has the “inside scoop” and is giving us facts from the ground level, he is giving us his “opinion”, based on his sources, which really equals nothing more than what Ante B says. are they right…Yes…do they offer anything more than what we speculate and read of almost daily…NO!
I think the article is good for those that really haven’t heard or read about the issues in Croatian soccer but the deeper issue is still the same question I’ve asked weekly….how does Mamic get away with what he’s been doing? Who else assists him? why haven’t laws protected the players, teams and league?
it takes much more than Zdravko Mamic to achieve his corruption. he has to have government assistance to get away with all the things he does…nobody seems to care about that!
good article but much of the same we hear and read daily. I’d appreciate a more drilled down article with more facts, rather than the general “same ol” but I think this will bring awareness to those that read it.
that artilce is a waste of time, anything with holiga name attached is a joke, definitely jugo trash involved with this article, very sad what these individuals are doing to croatia
Why are fans, especially of Dinamo Zagreb, boycotting the National Team, a much smaller piece of Mamic’s empire but not the club itself, where he really makes his money?
Talk about making absolutely no sense. Think about it.
@Vatrena Cast
Yesterday I asked you to educate me and you told me to go educate myself. If you’re trying to educate, try harder.
Does supporting the NT mean I’m supporting an unjust and corrupt system?
Me and my friend Ante B aren’t boycotting!!!!
@ VATRENA CAST
I READ THE LINK YOU POSTED. INTERESTING ARTICLE. ILL BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT, I LOVE SOCCER, IVE PLAYED IT MY WHOLE LIFE. I UNDERSTAND, STUDY, AND LOVE THE GAME. I LOVE THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THE GAME. MOST OF ALL I LOVE WATCHING CROATIA PLAY, IM NOT SAYING THEY ALWAYS PLAY WELL, I JUST LOVE WATCHING THEM PLAY. THE PRIDE ASPECT OF BEING CROATIAN YA KNOW?
I REALLY NEVER PAID MUCH ATTENTION TO MAMIC AND ALL THAT. IM NOT IGNORANT, I KNEW SHIT WAS FUCKED UP ( LIKE SEEING SAMMIR START A WORLD CUP GAME ) BUT I ALWAYS IGNORED THAT SHIT AND JUST WATCHED THE GAME.
I DONT BELIEVE BOYCOTTING IS THE ASNWER. I WANT TO SEE CROATIA PLAY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY PLAY WELL
@ VATRENA
MY QUESTION IS, WAS CIRO SO DEEP IN MAMIC’S POCKET BACK IN THE ” GOLDEN GENERATION” ? ALSO, WAS SLAVEN BILIC MAMIC’S BITCH AS WELL??
I’m trying to educate. You don’t have to read my comments but you choose to.
We need to boycott Hajduk and find out where did all the money flow to.
So you’re going to continue to punish us instead of the HNS, Mimic, and Sucker.
Awesome boycott. Really sticking it to em and forcing change.
Boycott is well under way, thank you very much!
Go start your boycott already and beat it
http://outsideoftheboot.com/2015/10/16/the-sad-state-of-croatian-football/
I’d take Kalinic in his leanest Ukraine years over Sammir at the peak of his HNL career.
Sammir did not deserve a spot on the team in my eyes.
All he did for most of his Dinamo career is score penalties against inferior opposition.
I would’ve taken a young prospect over him or any other “Hrvat” playing in a better league.
Good choice Ante B, enjoy watching the matches!!!
I’ll never understand why Vatrena Cast is boycotting, he said the HNS didn’t stand behind Joe Simunic but that didn’t stop Joe from taking the assistant coaching role. Is Joe supporting a corrupt system, has he got his head in the clouds?
Nope. I definitely don’t care as much as I used to where I wouldn’t be able to sleep the night before and have it be the only thing on my mind. But, unlike the others, I understand why Vatrena is.
Sorry again, but Ante B are you boycotting or not?
………wow.
As Ziva says, take emotions out of it and do what’s best to get the result. In the end, Sammir did piss all but at that time he was what we had as a viable option
Carry on.
I believe that it’s in the eye of the beholder and a personal choice.
Sorry. Let me clear up my last statement. I was not against Dudu being on the national team at all.
Sorry to intrude.
I believe boycotting is negative, Vatrena Cast believes it’s positive. What do you believe Ante B?
Merit is different than preference
This is why I don’t understand you guys. Why is it different when you guys say you were against Dudu and Sammir than when I say it? Is it because you guys accepted it and I didn’t? Was it for different reasons? From my view, it’s a double standard.
Maminjo makes a very valid point. I was against Sammir but at that time he was the best player in the HNL and scoring at a good pace.
I also wish the person above with “anonymous” would sign in as that person has made some very valid and interesting points.
I understand that argument Maminjo, I have felt like that as well but in these days, I think we have to accept it regardless of if we agree with it.
I never was a fan of his Ante, but lets face it, they had few options and he needed to field a decent player that had the physical and mental capacity to fill in the gap, we went through this a while back and by the end of it all, most here agreed he was one of few available and capable options.
Sammir at his peak, was probably the best player in the HNL at the time, so you can’t say he didn’t belong on account of his skill level or ability. The National Team regularly has one or two players on the squad that plays in the HNL, so it makes sense to have the best player in the HNL on the NT squad.
HOWEVER…
Sammir is Brazilian and, despite having Croatian Citizenship, should not be representing Croatia at NT level. Personally, I’m against having a team filled with football expatriates, so in my opinion, Sammir had no business being there because he wasn’t Croatian. Not because he wasn’t skilled enough.
I was also very much against Dudu’s inclusion for the same reasons. Both Dudu and Sammir came onto the National Team as top HNL players. Both represented by the Mamić family too.
It’s hard to argue for one, but not the other. OK, in hindsight, Dudu turned out to be a much better player, so it’s easy to slander the Sammir inclusion. But at the time of their call up, their situation was the same.
Looks like Kovac made those decisions during those two games as well. Why didn’t Sammir play against Brazil or Mexico? Why wasn’t he called up after?
…and when there are injuries, fatigue, strategical changes?
Who played in his position during the Brazil and Mexico games? There’s your answer.
Bobby,
This is your problem which isn’t even a problem. You’re viewing the situation through the prism of a Western person. However, as a Westerner, you should know that due process is a very long journey. USKOK is taking the steps that it can but when you’re in a country that is controlled by the mafia, baby steps. Remember it took almost ten years for the name Dinamo to be returned.
ahem….this is funny…”Sammir was put on the team because of Mamic and had no business being there. He hasn’t been called back since”
who else was better in those circumstances, during that time, that had some experience?
the allegations are hilarious…regardless of the topic or whenever something goes wrong, its always Mamic’s fault!
we’ve been through this exercise before…who did we have during that time…ready to go and fill in?
.
@ Ante B – has anyone in Zagreb thought about challenging the legality of that list? Isn’t that something you could actually use USKOK to your advantage over?
Or are the lawyers, courts, and anyone else you could approach all controlled by Mamic anyway?
Cubs fans, to their credit, have always been on the right page. They have waited for their owners to join them.
You can’t take one aspect of Dinamo Zagreb’s situation (the list) and compare it to what the Chicago Cubs would or wouldn’t do.
The rest of the comparisons between the organizations would not be the same or make any sense.
What if you think that Cacic and the entire coaching staff (Big Joe included) are a bunch of incompetent arse kissers. And that you find the NT’s directionless, headless chicken style of play extremely disheartening to watch and believe that at the Euros they will come unstuck against the first team that plays organised football with a real coach and not necessarily even a footballing powerhouse.
Does that put you in the same category as a certain southern region of Croatia (according to this forum anyway) as anti-Croatian and communist with a Mamic fixation?
It turned out to be the right decision. Sammir was put on the team because of Mamic and had no business being there. He hasn’t been called back since. I sleep peacefully at night. This is coming from a Dudu lover who loved having him on the team before you go down that route. Anonymously, of course.
So the Cubs fans, management, and club haven’t been “in sync” for like 107 years?
Heck, they still haven’t won the world series yet this year… so I guess we’ll see if they’re truly successful and “in sync” or not after a few more weeks.
Speaking slower? If that helps you remember you were also a boycotter, then whatever. Maybe you turned off the tv and your memory as well when Sammir was in the game.
Only on CroatianSports can you read that fan loyalty, boycotting, not boycotting, etc. are both positive and negative at the same time. Asti Gospe I wonder if the Cubs organization ever decided to ban their fans when they were the white stockings, colts or orphans? I wonder if there is a list.
Again, it’s what he said that was odd to hear for Croatian sports fan. There’s success when the management and the fans are on the same page. For the Cubs today, the success is making the NLCS. And that’s with a rookie coach and mostly rookie players.
I grew up a block from Comiskey Park, home of the White Sox, that is, to this day, a half-Italian, half-Croatian neighborhood. St.Jerome Croatian Church is right down the street.
Back in the 1970’s I worked at both Comiskey and Wrigley Field as a teenager, selling souveniers.
It was at a time when 70% of Chicago were Cubs fans, due to the fact that in the 60s -70’s, WGN TV, which televised the Cubs, was available to everyone in the city. The White Sox were on a UHF station which was a weak signal and hard for people to receive.
Remember, at that time, we had a total of 8 TV stations available.
Knowing that Cubs fans kept coming out to Wrigley Field no matter what product they put on the field, the owners (PK Wrigley, chewing-gum magnate) had no incentive to go out and get the best players and pay the high salaries.
It didn’t matter to them, they would make the same amount of money from ticket sales and WGN. That stadium, outside of a few week days at the beginning of the season when kids were in school, was always full.
Wrigley later sold the team to the Tribune company, a daily newspaper in Chicago, which owned WGNTV (which stood for Worlds Greatest Newspaper)
Wrigley had no floodlights, so, all games were during the day – and they still had 20,000 people come out. The Tribune people added them.
So, Theo, you have done nothing special to bring Cubs fans into that stadium – they have always been there.
And I wouldn’t want a model for not having any incentive of putting a winning team on the field because the fans came anyway.
Ironically, to a certain extent it has been the Cubs’ fans loyalty (full houses to watch a last place team) that has led to them waiting over 100 years.
I see you’re the brains of the operation so I’ll speak slower.
“Everybody is in sync from the fans to the management of the club. That’s what you need to be truly successful.”
The management. And fans. On the same page. Together. Croatian soccer does not have that at the moment.
Hopefully that was slow enough.
“Maybe in your world, lover. Not in mine. But I do thank you for following and assuming, albeit incorrect.”
I guess it must have been some other Ante B. that “boycotted” the Sammir era.
Cubs? What do they have to do with anything? Other than their fans didn’t boycott the last 107 years?
wtf, the cubs success???????????
they haven’t won a thing in over 100 years!!!!!!!!
@anonymous
“Can’t just turn your back on the repka and leave the rest of us in peace/” great line, lol
Maybe in your world, lover. Not in mine. But I do thank you for following and assuming, albeit incorrect.
Just listened to Theo Epstein about the Cubs’ success: “we couldn’t do this without our fans. Everybody is in sync from the fans to the management of the club. That’s what you need to be truly successful. Seeing Wrigley that full and beautiful is what it’s all about.”
A nasi…? Pih
“when boycotting, you boycott watching games in stadiums and on television, you don’t buy jerseys or any gear. Posting on sites and continuously getting educated on the issues is not part of the boycott.”
So you posting endless sanctimonious crap is part of your boycott?!
Can’t just turn your back on the repka and leave the rest of us in peace? Maybe you could step it up a notch to an Ante-B style; when Suker or Mamic or Sammir come on the tv, you turn it off, or go into the other room and listen or receive game reports from there.
Perisic explains his move to Inter (to an extent) and speaks very good English.
http://www.theguardian.com/football/video/2015/oct/15/internazionale-the-revival-of-a-fallen-giant-video?CMP=share_btn_tw
when boycotting, you boycott watching games in stadiums and on television, you don’t buy jerseys or any gear. Posting on sites and continuously getting educated on the issues is not part of the boycott.
@cekic
They are mad and upset. Oh well.
The boycotters are our people as well, they may not enjoy it so much.
Going to France and can’t wait. Everytime I see our team at these tournaments is a special feeling and pride among our people.
@NG
Congratulations to the Albanians as well!
First major tournament, you guys are gonna love it. You’ll always remember your first tournament, first time you hear your anthem at a major tournament truly is a special feeling you’ll never forget!!
Congratulations to the Croatian team and people for the direct qualification!!
Hugs form Albania
LOL i noticed that
Suker is actually in the game as a legend of course yet the Vatreni arent.
Well, Good ‘ol Davor has his priorities i suppose !
😉
@ ZIVA
At least you got common sense. Of course Croatian AMD Serbian players get Alomg, probably not all of them. They probably hang out I’m the same cities like you said, but they can’t make a big deal out of it and keep it hush hush because of the lunatics back home just like you said
I get hated on because I’m a Novak Djokovic fan. I like him cause he is entertaining and the best player in the world. I wouldn’t care if he was fucking Albanian or Lebanese , people can’t dispute the fact he is a great player.
Like I said, I met nice Serbs and asshole Serbs. Just like any other nationality . I would like to see Serbia in the euros, it would be so awesome if Croatia were in the same group as Serbia or if we met them in the knockout round . It will just make for exciting soccer .
@ ZIVA
How hurt is modric ? Is it a serious injury ?
Wow, you stay up late and the real Mamic brothers and Suker post here!
Just like when I used to wake myself up at 2 AM on Christmas Eve to see Santa!
I’m actually in FIFA 16 as Legend, I did that for you gamers out there. EA Sports made my stats a bit low but I assume you can jack them up yourself and make me the player that I’m supposed to be. EA Sports got angry because I didn’t want to sell the NT rights for unders.
I’m also in discussions with KONAMI regarding next years Pes installment!!!!
Good question Iggy, I’ll assume you play Fifa, if you only new how much those cheap bastards at EA Sports offered me, I’m so angry I don’t even want to mention the figure, but it was insulting to my national team that I won a golden boot for. Hopefully next years installment we will be fully licensed!!!!
Mamic 3:16
Davor, the Question everyone wants an answer to: when are you gonna sell the rights for video games to have the vatreni again ??
Zdravko Mamic agrees with me!!
Zoran when did you learn english? Leave these guys alone.
@Zdravko i Zoran
Sto vi tu radite?
Hvala brate za pomoc. Je vidis Zorane kako su ljubomorni!
Don’t hate my brother, hate the game. Don’t be envious of my brother for playing the game you’ll are playing!
Luke 24:45
Then he opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.
Let us pray for Ante B & Vatrena Cast that they may have ears to hear.
Poglavnik 4:21
Thou shall turn on Bob Marley to listen and open thy bag of Doritos.
1 Poglavnik 4:20
Smoke ’em if you got ’em!
PS why hasnt one of u fuckers found a torrent of the malta game for me yet?
“PS. The US of A is very corrupt, too…and most people will not complain as long as they’re making decent money and are generally happy.”
this is exactly the point i was making some time ago.
Consider the legacy and damage done by George Bush in his multiple invasions of other countries so his buddies could profiteer from war. We are going to have a legacy of provoking muslim terrorists onto us for decades now because of Bush’s corruption and all that he did. So much damage done by that one man.
Did any of you boycott USA during this time? Why didnt you hand in your passports and disown the country?
And you’re whinging because, what, Mamic puts some players on the NT who shouldnt’ be there? fuck me it’s bullshit.
And I’m not sure anyone has seriously come on here claiming Cacic is amazing. I’m pretty sure any such claims were mostly facetious or a sentiment that he didn’t totally screw up these two games… not amazing.
Vatrena, again…
I understand your sentiments, and respect your personal choice to boycott. HNS is clearly a corrupt mess.
Now, kindly go start your boycott.
Instead of endlessly posting about the boycott and spreading discontent here (not boycotting), leave the rest of alone and go stop reading, posting, watching, attending, etc… anything related to Croatian soccer.
If your definition of “boycott” means harassing us here, please stop. Go find a way to harass Šuker and Mamic instead… or just really boycott and stop paying any attention.
@anonymous
you want corruption, take a look at hajduk and investigate that, of course people like vatrena cast and ziva will downplay it by saying no big deal, blah blah blah
if mamic was running hajduk they would all be happy lol
what the hell, you have people who want croatia to fail each and everytime
Samo naprid.
Bog i Hrvati
@notmyreal name
excellent post, you nailed it
as for vatrena cast, he must be a jugo with that talk
Why do you guys hate brother Mamic so much? Like Vatrena Cast said, “educate yourselves! ”
1 John 2:11
But he that hateth his brother, is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth; because the darkness hath blinded his eyes.
1 John 3:15
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer. And you know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in himself.
1 John 4:20
If any man say, I love God, and hateth his brother; he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother, whom he seeth, how can he love God, whom he seeth not?
My last post!
Um, you do realize who Sammir’s agent is and gets a cut of his salary? Showcasing on the repka did increas his price tag, no??
@slavonac……who is saying that?
I never understood the push for Sammir to be on the NT. I get that Mamic initially wanted him on the team (during those Bilic years) as his value was high. But then I never understood why Stimac and Kovac continued to call him up, and even start him at the World Cup after those initial years when it was obvious that there would be no sale.
Everyone was quick to call out Mamic for being the one directing Stimac and Kovac on calling up Sammir, but Sammir was a free agent and wasn’t re-signing. He ended up leaving anyway for Getafe on a free transfer.
Then there was the wierd obsession that Niko Kovac, had with calling up HNK Rijeka players.
Males, Mocinic, Leovac, Leskovic, Vargic, Mitrovic, Sharbini, Tomecak…over half those guys didn’t deserve a cap, yet for some reason Kovac kept going back to Rijeka for fresh new callups.
If I was new to the situation, I would assume that Rijeka’s Damir Miskovic was a bigger mafijas and had more influence than Mamic.
I think that there is definitely corruption, but there is also a good degree of random incompetence that gets mistaken for corruption as well.
….and dalmatinci continue to say their players don’t get selected because of Mamic…that’s the kinda shit that makes me laugh!
Mamic is much more of a Dinamo Zagreb issue than a National Team issue.
BBB propaganda has successfully merged the two – and, along with the Commies and Serbs in our government, have brainwashed some of you into thinking how much he’s profiting off the National side.
He might control both, but, other than gaining caps for players that some say should not be on the team, so they can be sold, doesn’t profit much from the Vatreni – not much in ticket sales as of late, wouldn’t you say?
Croatia’s players earned almost 4 million Euros for qualifying yesterday and will be splitting that among themselves.
Mamic, like Cancer sucks. You don’t boycott it. You eliminate it with intelligent tactics.
Boban
Boom.
Notmy Realname,
You’ve nailed it in all your comments, well said!
I get it Vatrena Cast, you’re envious of Mamic making all that money, like all the other boycotters.
Proverbs 3:31
Envy not the unjust man, and do not follow his ways.
You don’t follow his ways, all that’s left is don’t envy him, feel sorry for the poor fellow.
Vatrena Cast,
Your youthful exuberance is nice to see. Although, you seem pretty young and naive. Who’s sitting on their ass and complaining other than you? Why wait, act now! Stop complaining on this portal and do something if you think that you could. Myself, I am very happy in life and don’t care whether Mamic or Šuker profit as long as Croatia keep winning and participating in major tournaments. I couldn’t stand Šuker as a person when he played, but he scored a lot of goals…and I still think he’s a weirdo, but I don’t have to deal with him, personally.
I almost wish that we could fast forward 10-20 years from now and see what you have accomplished, but these trivial things shouldn’t matter as long as you are happy with where you are at and I wish you all the best with that…
Keep in mind that the “croatian” portal encouraging the boycott is index.yu and that most of the ministers in the current croatian government are either serbs, married to serbs or have ties with serbs and love ruining lijepa naša…
PS. The US of A is very corrupt, too…and most people will not complain as long as they’re making decent money and are generally happy.
i remember anteb saying in a comment that he turned off the tv as soon as Sammir came on. Good man.
Definitely didn’t watch, but according to the comments on here cacic was an amazing hire by mamic. Almost as good of a hire as stimac was.
My dad made a great comment about this today and see the croatian diaspora is very easily influenced by the media, and flip flop quite a bit. He is right.
@lovro
Far from sheltered trust me. Yeah punching them in the face would really make a change! What caveman behavior is that? You add a bunch of Croatians from Oklahoma and California and Croatians all over the world not watching, then you’re on to something. I don’t see how you guys can defend the hns holy cow. Every movement starts off small. Then Croatias ratings go to shit and ESPN for instance says fuck off to Croatia and the hosting, and then you’re hitting the hns where it really hurts, in the pocket.
Inter is a bad example because mamic doesn’t run shut in Italy. He runs the HNS!!!! Do you not understand that and see the difference?
Boycotts are an individual choice. Personally, I don’t think they work. But, honestly, who cares if someone wants to boycott. I’m pretty sure people saying they boycotted yesterday or Bulgaria, actually watched.
@notmyrealname
So you’re saying I should give up on my country? Many of you already did give up saying “its corrupt oh well.” Like I said I’m gonna keep moving up in my education and so on and I’ll try to actually make a change up higher. I have nothing against the players, even though I wish they would say enough is enough and get us a real coach. But I understand it’s an honor to play for a national team. I choose to boycott because I couldn’t sleep at night knowing I support something so corrupt.
No shit the whole country is corrupt, does that make it okay? Maybe if more people got off their asses and did something about it like boycotting something would get done. But no keep sitting on your asses and complaining.
Imagine boycotting everything you disagree with – what a way to live your life. Talk about being angry in a passive way, I’d have more respect for you if you went up to Mamic or Suker and punched them in the face.
So, a bunch of Croatians living in Oklahoma not watching the matches would be something? Look, if you are not a fan living in Zagreb, you are wasting your time.
Should Inter fans boycott their team because they bought (and wasted their money) on Brozovic from a corrupt Mamic?
Should fans of any team that has bought players from Mamic do the same? I mean, how ridiculous do you want to go?
Above all, remember this:
The people who led Croatia’s fight for independence were some of the most corrupt people in the country.Some of the money and support Croatia received in its fight was from shady sources and under the table donations – and even an institution (the Vatican) which, you can argue, should have stayed neutral.
Stop being so naïve. Sounds like you led a sheltered life.
Anonymous,
You are wrong! Živa is American 1000%.
I know the American city where he was born and the other mid-west American city where he currently resides. But, he’s been to a couple of Cro soccer tournaments at Norval and Centennial, so he is familiar with the area: Streetsville, etc…
Do you not recall posting a comment a couple of years ago that, at the Cro-Yugo Euro 2000 qualyfier in Zagreb, you did not tell a group from Toronto that you wanted Cro to lose because you were upet about something? BTW, I was there with you. Remember chanting Ivica Ustaša to the Serb goalie on sjeverni tribine?
Realname,,
ziva is canadian. he is from toronto. he plays the republican card to seem american in order to hide where hes from.
Nope. Only when Sammir came on. Read again.
Where did I ever admit to wishing Cro lost to Yugo?????? That certainly would not be the ZDS lifestyle.
Ante B “boycotted” the national team during the Sammir era, did he not? I mean, he was still here posting daily and watching and commenting; but it was a declared “boycott” (in name anyway), right?
Vatrena cast, news flash Croatia as a country is corrupt, that being said, why are you surprised that the football federation is too? Why don’t you boycott the country and forfeit your passport?! PS. the USA is a pretty corrupt country, as are most countries in the world to varying degrees. But, people have a higher standard of living (not to be confused with better quality of life) so they do not complain as much, plus it is a bigger country which makes it harder to notice. The players on the pitch really do not have much control over what goes on above them in the hierarchy…you are free to do as you please, but we got your point a long time ago.
Ziva, you are a typical internet troll. You claim to live the ZDS lifestyle, but admit to wishing Croatia lose to Yugo in Euro 2000 qualifying in ZG. I was at that game with you, btw. You make fun of people being homers and jock sniffers, while you are constantly on this site, are one of the few posters to have a personalized avatar, and reneg on many claims, ie: modric being a bust, sabbatical, Ćilić, advocate of short term pain for long term gain, etc… Man, you are obviously a pretty frustrated guy. You know the old saying, you could take a guy out of the ‘hood (Cleveland, in your case), but you cannot take the ‘hood out of the guy.
If this site was up in the early 90’s the comments would go something like this:
” those damn hooligans are messing up our chances to win the world cup! how dare boban kick that nice police officer?! yes yugoslavia is treating us shitty but we could potentially win the world cup! our team could be so good, a few of these bad apples are going to mess it up for all of us. We won the u21 world cup and i can’t believe they are willing to mess that up!!!!!!!!!!”
@cekic
Again learn basic sports management, to see all the ways the hns makes money. Once you learn that you’ll see how you are supporting the corrupt system.
@cekic
No I definitely meant it at the people on this site.
@lovro
One person can’t make a difference by himself and thank god not everyone is passive as you. There’s plenty of people boycotting. One person boycotting is nothing, a bunch is something.
@metkovic
No shit? As stated before I will not get into the politics, once again this is a sports site if you want to discuss politics ask me for my email and I’ll gladly explain it all.
Hajduk is corrupt but it still is a small fry. Compared to the big pictures. You gotta start with the head in Croatian sports corruption and that’s mamic and suker.
@Vatrena Cast
Does supporting the NT mean you are supporting an unjust and corrupt system, does not answering this question make you feeble-minded?
The proper definition of backing into the playoffs in any sport is when you have the situation in your own hands (needing just to win), lose the last match, but then get help from another team.
Croatia did not lose the last match.
In fact, had Italy-Norway been scheduled earlier in the qualification, with the same result, we would have talking about how Croatia needs only to win.
@ ziva
i’m curious what your definition of backed into the playoffs mean?
As far as qualifying campaigns go, this has to be one of croatia’s best.
only 1 loss when paired with a traditional power like italy
no home crowd for 3 games
injuries to modric and mandzukic throughout
croatia finishes with best goal differential of the group and 5th best goal differential of all teams in qualifying, despite all only beating malta 2-0 on aggregate
Depends on your perspective. Seems like a loaded question because all sides can be addressed.
Someone needs to explain to me how having a computer with the game on or off in Oklahoma is going to affect Mamic in any way.
@Ante B
Does supporting the NT mean that you are supporting an unjust and corrupt system?
See Iggy. There’s your first problem. You assumed and thought. I ended my boycott of Dinamo when the BBB officially called for the end of the boycott….more than two years ago after they realized that the legal and peaceful means of getting rid of Mamic doesn’t apply in Croatia since everything is in his back pocket. Let me guess, did you also assume I’m boycotting the national team? Let’s not fall into guilt by association
@Stipe…..agreed they get along. In some cities where they play they hang out with each other. They just wont share that info openly because of the minor lunatic fringe who will use it against them back home.
@vatreni cast
you talk about the hns and suspension joey, guess who started the problem, the government along with jovanovic, next time educate yourself you moron,
Go boycott the government and jovanovic and your team hajduk, you want corruption go see them.
I must admit Ante B i am confused by your position. I thought you are boycotting Dinamo at least but then you were posting away about how happy you were like a madman when they beat Arsenal. So which is it – are you boycotting or not?
As for serbs, they aren’t as good as us on any level i don’t think. They don’t have the world class players, but it is true they underperform badly. Who knows what is wrong with them? All i know is it’s great to see !
As for playing them in Euros.. well you wouldnt need a referee, you would need a UN peacekeeping force LOL
@Ante B
So, are you boycotting?
It’s a personal choice. If you want to, go ahead. If you don’t want to, enjoy. I’m still shell shocked from the Boban interview from a couple of weeks ago.
Vatrena Cast did say that! My understanding was that he directed that at the players he supports at club level, for not supporting the boycott!
@Ante B
What are your thoughts on the boycott?
Vatrena cast says:
. I say it again, if our war of independence was fought by people like you we’d still be Yugoslavia.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmn.
Hey, I know you, you’re that same Stipe from last time, the Novak Djokovic fan.
@ Ante Cacic
neznalica??? Ok buddy, whatever you say. Your just upset cause I actually made good points . Go ahead , keep talking shit. I love it. Just how you wish you could feel Cacic’s mustache …….faggot lol
Stipe === neznalica
@ IGGY….
THANKS FOR THE INFO
@ ZIVA
I WANT TO AVOID THE BIG BOYS LOL
P.S I WOULD HAVE LIKED IT IF SERBIA HAVE ADVANCED TO THE EUROS. I HATE SERBS IN GENERAL. BUT IVE MET PLENTY OF SERBS, I LIVE IN NORTHERN NJ/ NYC AREA. I MET COOL SERBS AND ASSHOLE SERBS. IT WOULD BE SO EXCITING TO BE IN THE SAME GROUP AS SERBIA OR TO HAVE FACED THEM IN THE KNOCKOUT ROUND…..THATLL BE AWESOME. I DOMT UNDERSTAND WHY SERBIA PLAYS SO POORLY AMD THEY HAVE SUCH GOOD IMDIVIDUAL PLAYERS, IVANOVIC, KOLAROV, MATIC, TOSIC……I DOMT GET WHY THEY FLOP AS A NATIONAL TEAM. I TRULY BELIEVE THE SERBIAN MAFIA IN BELGRADE BETS AGAINST THE NATIOANAL TEAM TO LOSE, AMD THEY JUST THREATEN THE PLAYERS. THEY HAVE WAY TO MUCH TALENT TO PERFORM SO POORLY . PLAYER FOR PLAYER, THERE PLAYERS ARE JUST AS GOOD AS WE ARE, MAYBE A LITTLE BETTER.
YEA YEA PLEASE DONT START TALKING SHIT CALLING ME A JUGOVIC OR A SERB LOVER. I JUST CALL IT HOW I SEE IT .
AND I TRULY BELIEVE MOST, NOT ALL, BUT MOST OF THE SERBIAN AND CROATIAN NATIONAL TEAM PLAYERS GET ALOMG WIH EACH OTHER.
@ Vatrena Cast – Son, you need to educate yourself. The entire world we live in is corrupt. It affects your daily life in almost every way possible.
Key to getting by in life? Learn some street smarts and know when to apply them. I got mine growing up in a poor neighborhood on the Southside of Chicago.
We all have a little bit of Mamic in us.
Besides, who are you bullshitting? We both know you watched the game against Malta yesterday.
Group next summer Germany Croatia Poland Albania
I understand your sentiments, and respect your personal choice to boycott. HNS is clearly a corrupt mess.
Now, kindly go start your boycott.
Instead of endlessly posting about the boycott and spreading discontent here (not boycotting), leave the rest of alone and go stop reading, posting, watching, attending, etc… anything related to Croatian soccer.
This is the same hns that didn’t stand behind suspension Joey. Same hns that is trying to ban za Dom spremni chants. Etc. you all have no problem with any of that? Keep living in the clouds or educate yourselves.
Wow, back to this again. Thank you vatrena cast for the laughs the last few days.
The people that choose to ignore a problem are often the problem.
@vatrena cast
i guess to be young and stupid applies to you
all the best with your boycott
Shit, point being you guys are supporting an unjust corrupt system. Keep living in the clouds with out a worry in your feeble minds.
http://www.footballseeding.com/international-tournaments/euro-2016/
@Stipe…….someone posted a website where you can view the seedings.
Me, I prefer a group with the big boys. There is something special on gameday going up against Germany or the hate from our fans if we go against England. Tickets will be tougher to get, but if you are willing to pay, you will get them.
“I say it again, if our war of independence was fought by people like you we’d still be Yugoslavia.”
Vatrena cast after a statement like you need to boycott yourself.
Marko, I don’t have any serbian friends.
A question for our Serbian friends: if Croatia are drawn in the same group as Germany, Turkey and Albania in the Euro finals in France, who would you support?
Could you imagine if we hadn’t gotten the point penalty, and Norway held on against Italy. We would have thought at least we’ll get the best third place position. And then Turkey takes it at the last second (sound familiar?). That’s how Hungarians are feeling today. It does seem silly that matches against the last place team don’t count when Turkey tied Latvia twice. Just like Hungary took one point from Greece in two games. They used to include all games and then prorate the points for the one group with five teams. That’s the better and fairer way. Ukraine would have qualified. A moot point for Croatia though.
keep in mind the 4 best of the 6 third place teams also advance
so it is easier to get out of the group than ever before, we will have a solid chance and should get out
@ Iggy
Thanks for the info….hopefully we just have one powerhouse in our group, then the rest are just middle to lower tier counties like an Albania and N. Ireland . Portugal is tricky. If we draw like a Germany or even an England ( even tho England did incredibly well in qualification and didn’t lose or tie a game, they don’t perform well in tournaments ) lol I’m not saying we perform well either. But in my eye I still consider Portugal a great team, not in Germany’s class but I would definitely not want to draw let’s say Germany and Portugal in our group. No matter how bad the third team is. I could see Croatia losing to Germany, Croatia have a tie game with Portugal and us beating whatever the third team is.
For example, Euro 2012 group scared the hell out of me when I saw who we had in our group. Even tho we play well against Italy, I still hated that group .Especially knowing we had to play Spain last, and seeing Italy tie Spain in the first game. I knew we were screwed. We played well in the second half against Italy, but that 1-1 result against Italy fucked us cause we had to beat Spain in the last game. In 2012 Spain was Spain ya know. So besides the powerhouse that’ll be in our group, hopefully the other two counties are beatable teams. I know any team could lose in any game but I hope Croatia and whatever powerhouse country we draw with from pot 1 , I hope us two are the favorite in the group. It’ll kill me too see a third team in our group that has a good chance to make it to the second round. I’m not greedy, that’s all I want for Croatia ,get the fuck out the group stage and into the second round. That’s all.
Just wanted to add that, for some time now, I’ve been preaching about how there is a serious lack of talent in the 21-25 year old range on our side.
Not coincidentally, it was the years 1991-1995.
Outside of Mateo Kovacic (raised in Austria, by the way), the next two talented players in that age group were considered Brozovic and Kramaric.
These two guys are fading faster for both club and country than the appeared. Both are rumored to be leaving their clubs in January or the end of the season. Their performances have been poor.
Because of this lost gap, there will be more pressure on our youth to develop quicker over the upcoming years than ever before.
Mile posted the best link to this:
http://www.footballseeding.com/international-tournaments/euro-2016/
scroll down about 3 pages to “Final Tournament”
There you go, there are the pots.
We will have one very good team (from pot 1) and then the others are a mixed bag (from pots 3 and 4).
I guess the easiest group would be
portugal, romania and albania/northern ireland
that’s about as easy as it could get
@ ZIVA
I’m asking you this question because you know your shit about the sport itself. I might not always agree with what you say, but I know you know you shit and I do respect your opinions.
So I asked the question before about the pot seedings and what are the chances of us being in a tuff group. You answered me by saying Croatia is In the second pot. So since Croatia is in the second pot, I’m guessing we are not going to be in the same pot as the big boys such as Germany, France, England, Spain and such right? I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking you lol. Therefore I understand any country could be in the ” group of death ” no matter how well they did in the qualification rounds. So I guess my question is Ziva, who else will be in our pot? I just want to know which big countries will we avoid ya know?
If you could shed any light Ziva, hvala!!!
Now that you mention it bobby, Cacic does look a little like tata !
haha
hey, ziva, you mentioned up there somehwere ^^ there was some big breaking news and you were just waiting to confirm it, well, what was it?? was it that you finally found your dick and it is in your head, or ?? cmon dont keep us in suspense !
So a guy walks into the change rooms and sees the Croatian players singing and celebrating making the Euros with Davor Suker!!! The guy says,”you guys feel better about corruption now, have some fucking values, I’ll continue to support you at club level but not with the NT.” The players replied, “get da fuck outta here!!”
@Vatrena Cast
Warning!! Do not watch the clip that Hvar put up, you’d see players that according to you feel better about corruption. These same players that you support at club level!
Well the bosandzero has 7 months to show if he deserves to start. I think we like what we see from, not it is on him to produce.
Scheduling friendlies wont do much for our guys. The results of friendlies leading into major tournies have never been an indicator of how we will do. We have guys who play at big clubs. They dont get up for friendlies because they are very meaningless games in terms of results.
One position where we have no backup is at goalie. If Serb Subasic goes down, we are in trouble. I guess Kalinic is the backup, but he has no big game experience.
Time to sit back wait for draw and make travel plans based on where they are playing.
Halilovic needs to be starting – especially when our forwards are so poor.
The thing nobody mentions is that he frequently draws two, sometimes three defenders to him, which opens up space for others.
@ Vatrena – Are you really comparing a fan’s approval/disapproval of a soccer coach to the willingness/capability of these same fans to fight in a war? Seriously? What?
Well said bobb V! Commeth the hour, commeth the Man! Perisic is our talisman!
If Halilovic continues his form, surely he can put pressure on Rakitic’s place, heck maybe even take his central attacking mid spot.
How easily beating 2 shitty teams makes people feel better about corruption. Shit everyone thinking cacic is a heaven sent, but then again many of you praised stimac at first. Educate yourselves please. You guys would choose winning over the wellness of our country. I say it again, if our war of independence was fought by people like you we’d still be Yugoslavia.
Wow…pretty darn good post Bobby V!
Croatia does not have another competitive match for eight months. Boy, it’s really going to be hard to boycott something that you won’t have a chance to boycott – idiots.
Ivan Perisic has been the best player on the national team for the past three years. He finished the qualifying campaign with six goals, double the amount of the total scored by Mandzukic, Olic and Kalinic combined. (one each) The most underrated and arguably the least discussed player on this site.
Guess he’s just not TMZ material – does everything right.
Ivan Rakitic loses more balls and has more passes intercepted in one match for Croatia than he has in one month for Barcelona. Yes, he plays with better players there, but, most of his errors seem unforced.
A big reason we qualified is because someone figured out that Dejan Lovren needs to be left out. This Stjepan Tomas graduate school of Balkan mental midget disease needs to continue to stay off the field. I would rather play with 10 men than to have him foul someone or play the ball with his hand in the box, especially today.
Pjaca is not on the squad because Mamic wants him to be. He is a skillful player who will get better.
Props to Corluka – past his prime, but, knows how to position himself.
I remember seeing Subasic playing for Zadar before he went to Hajduk and listening to two older men saying he will be aour national team goalie one day. They were right – far and away the best we have.
How can we have such a huge problem with our forward position right now? Somebody needs to step up and take away the pressure from our midfielders having to score before June.
Hope we schedule some meaningful friendlies up until Euro 2016.
Cacic is at least saying the right things. He talks about unity and pride in playing for Croatia. Doesn’t seem to have an ego or care about being in the spotlight – unlike our last two coaches.
Doesn’t really matter if he is a Mamic stooge or not, I like him so far. Plus, I saw a picture of Iggy once – looks as if he could be his Dad.
Even past my gut? Thanks! What’s cooler than a troll using your name? Absolutely nothing.
I looked down towards my weiner and saw it was still big as a horse
The End.
Not a pretty win but I’ll take it!
Good luck to the u17s at the World Cup this month!!
Here’s a great link to show how the playoffs are set up and the pots for the draw in December:
http://www.footballseeding.com/international-tournaments/euro-2016/
No to the boycott.
No to the bojkot.
@soul champ…..I never called Modric a bust. I said Modric would excel at Real. He had a rough start and I was quoting what the media and fans were saying about him in the present time. Anyone who has been on this site knows what I said about Modric after Euro 2012.
I will meet you in Bjezigrad if you want, but don’t run away.
@stipe…..we are in the second pot.
@lika……I was never for or against the boycott. I have always said boycotts dont work, but it is an individual choice. I have always maintained the problem is Puppet Suker and Mamic.
Haha, nobody else has been to Maksimir or Poljud
Hey guys, I have an important announcement to share in case you didn’t catch it earlier.
Ante B has attended live matches before so we should take his opinion very seriously;
First off, fuck ITALY. Second, does anyone know how the pots are going to work for euro groups? What are the chances of Croatia being in a difficult group? Can anyone shed some light on that please
Anyone who says Corluka needs to go really needs to settle down. Please tell me how he’s looked like a liability. Now granted the competition hasn’t been great and he was suspended for one Italy game. Also got sent off against Norway. He’s still consistently been dependable.
When you break down the issues on Croatia’s roster, Corluka doesn’t appear in my top five. Another established winger, left back, defensive midfielder, depth at striker, and Srna are far bigger issues for me.
Who is going to replace Corluka? Jedvaj still has some development. He will get his time. Lovren? He can’t even make it to a qualifier healthy.
http://www.footballtarget.com/2014/06/robben-croatian-captain-darijo-srna-fastest-world-cup-player/
@Soul Champ:
Srna has slowed a bit, but probably isn’t our slowest player by far.
I seem to remember him being the fastest player on the pitch during the Cameroon WC game.
Which BTW was against an African team in the jungle after an opener against Brazil.
However, I do agree that his NT days are numbered.
^^
U don’t seem to like the Dutch.
Did one still your girl or give you a purple nurple?
i’d feel like boycotting if i was a dutch fan !
sucked in to them fucking loosers
fuckling orange cunts
Forget the politics of this game. Cheer for the players and the country you love. U boj, U boj, za Narod Svoj!!!!
Lmfao
Well done Lika Joey.
St, ziva is no longer a boycotting advocate…he blows like the wind…now he is against it…

@soul champ
Easy on Ziva. He is upset the the team made it along with the other boycott losers.
Aleksandr ziva istina, If you mean noise as to playing well and being noticed in the world cup i did say that.
@ Ziva
You said Luka Modrić was a BUST at Real Madrid, and NOT world class. Now both Real Madrid and Hrvatska look like shit every time he is out… Just sayin’
Also needed your boy Halilovic and your cousin Subasic in Brazil … Oh but they weren’t good enough for you and Kovač. Pravi balkanski glavonji.
Znam tko si ti … ĐUBRE, čekamo u Zadru za tebi.
@ Brkic
Valid point.
Just concerned by his lack of pace against top attackers. Mexico ran him ragged last summer.
I bet Denis made that video

Ziva noise @ the world cup?
interesting video…

CUBS WIN!!! CUBS WIN!!! CUBS WIN!!!
@Ziva
Limped in is probably more accurate than “backed in”. We drew with Italy home and away and Norway lost home and away. It’s not like they deserved the 2nd place spot. The issue was that we looked like the best team in the group until September and then almost self destructed.
@Soul Champ
I agree with most of that, but Corluka was probably our most consistent defender in this stretch and made a couple of key stops today as the last man. I have not given up on Lovren, but until we have someone clearly better than Corluka we can make room for one veteran in France.
your also the same guy that said we would make noise at the WC……..just sayin’
@lika joey………its not really that hard.
@ Hammer
Svi smo Hrvati !
Tu sam za tebi brate.
Uvijek vjerni .
@ Svima
Just got off the phone with Stari and he is very happy, so I am very happy.
Just feeling a major disappointment with our inability to integrate more of our young talent.
Still have TWO many SLOW and old scrubs on the pitch:
Srna
Ćorluka
Need to go.
Curious to know why every time we look less than excellent on the pitch it never seems to be Srna who is talked about?
Vrsjalko is a stud who takes people on all the way to the end line.
He needs to start at RB.
Modrić is captain going forward by FAR our best player.
Pjaca is strong by lacks that IT that Halilovic has. Halilovic shifts the field with every touch of his darting runs.
Kovačić has EARNED a starting spot and will get even better these next 6 months.
I would play Perišić up top and unleash his speed all over the pitch.
Atta boy!
Thanks!! Don’t go calling me puppet Cekic now!
Mr Black, Aleksandr Holiga is really ziva istina he can’t tweet and post at the same time.
So, were are tou guys setting up camp in France. Hoping we get to play in the south of France as opposed to Metz and Lens. Marseilles and Nice would be great. Get to hit the beach and then watch games from 3 pm and on.
Well hammer, this is your first lesson in Croatian…from now on you should change your name to “cekic” which means “hammer”!
Boycott
Bojkot
Ok then, I don’t read, write or speak Croatian. I do laugh when people write their comment in English and a part in Croatian just to prove something to people like me! Just write the whole thing in Croatian! You guys with your reading, writing and speaking Croatian need people like me, I make you feel special!!!
I’ve never been to a game.
And Croatia is officially a #2 seed for the final draw. So in their group next summer, the #1 seed will be either France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, England or Belgium. Pot 3 and 4 are all mixed right now and will depend on the outcome of the playoffs. But Iceland, Wales, Albania and Northern Ireland look to be in pot 4 no matter what happens in the playoffs.
@Hvar
Awesome video.
They picked that song on purpose to stick it to the haters, lol.
Great clip!!!!
I’d ask something even more concise. Have they ever been to a game…A game.
People blaming uefa for a bad atmosphere…. Have you been to a recent Croatia game with a good atmosphere?
Hvar, thank you. I don’t get some of the others. A lot of countries have major problems, including the Serbs. Do you think their fans wish they made Euro? Don’t you think they are absolutely seething that Croatia AND Albania are in the tournament. Of course they are.
Too bad they had to back in though (eye roll).
iPad
Meant@hammer
So the playoffs seeds are:
Top seeds:
Bosnia-Herzegovina
Ukraine
Sweden
Hungary
Bottom Seeds:
Denmark
Ireland
Norway
Slovenia
Bosnia/Slovenia and Sweden/Denmark would be interesting.
@hammet and mile

Good clip of the team singing a song dear to the majority of us.
You both need to ignore these clowns with this short term pain they preach.
Someone sure is sad: our dear friend Aleksander Holiga didn’t twitter after Croatia’s qualification. How many messages would he have twittered by now if Croatia was not qualified?
But I get it, you post things to incite other posters. You’re like my 9 year old nephew. You do or say silly things to get a rise out of people.
Imagine the penalty for the Swastika was six points like some of you guys thought would’ve been fair! Some would be rejoicing now saying, short term pain!!!!!
No they didn’t back in. Everyone played the same teams twice. Again, if anything Croatia was at a disadvantage, as Norway had the advantage of playing Italy when Italy wasn’t desperate for a win. It was for pride only.
And you say you don’t knock Croatians. Give me a break. All you do is criticize anything that is positive. Croatia doesn’t need “fans” like you.
Draw woulda been good enough! We didn’t need Norway to lose! So in your opinion Italy wasn’t the sure thing you were suggesting earlier! Ten games in qualifying, not one!
Yes, they backed in. Nothing wrong with that. Main thing is to qualify.
When you need the team ahead of you to lose in order to get in, its called backing in. That is not a knock on Hrvatska.
let’s go Mets!!!!!!!
For evil men to accomplish their purpose it is only necessary that good men should do nothing. Mamic is the evil man, who are the good men? I feel the only people in a position to do something are the players. Now we have a guy (Vatrena Cast) who watches the players play for their clubs but not for the NT, but clearly the players are not good people because Mamic is prospering! Wait a second, are some of you guys trying to say that the Hooligans are the good guys?
Happy we got the points/qualified but still some not so nice soccer today against a not so great team. The Cro mentality continues.
Thoughts, opinions, reactions on players?
IMO Rakitic doesn’t seem to play like a leader. Realistically he had only one stellar season in Sevilla, his last one before being sold to Barcelona and he was playing in a league where first, second and now third arguably are locked in spots and everyone fights for the rest. With that being said there was less pressure in Sevilla making it easier to perform. Now he’s in Barca but he has MSN so he’s not one of the go to guys like he was in Sevilla.
I feel like he’s not as good when
1) he’s expected to be a leader on a team expected to win
Supposed to be a better player for Croatia and hasn’t really played too stellar this qualifying term especially against lesser opponents (although great against Italy in Italy, I think the whole team was pretty good)
2) he doesn’t have an all star supporting cast. In Barca he has that, in Sevilla he didn’t, but once again he had one really good year there and Sevilla are not favourites every game when they play so its easier to perform.
Overall a little disappointed with him maybe I thought he was a better or bigger player than he was. Maybe a little too harsh but I don’t think he does well with pressure when he’s expected to lead a team expecting to win plain and simple.
He can deal with it when A) playing with stars around him OR If there are no stars
B) playing on a team when they’re not out and out favourites
Can making it to France, and short term pain be reconciled?
norway is in the playoff and one of your fellow black guys got their goal yet again today
norways best players surprisingly all black lately 😉
to the person above: no because the wins against bottom place in the group do not count since some groups have 5 teams and some groups have 6
anyone has any links to the game torrent (preferrably 720p) please post here, thanks !
shouldnt Norway be the best third place team over turkey? they have a point more
Disappointing to see Vrsaljko getting no minutes and Jedvaj hopefully to challenge lacklustre Corluka in the near future I rate Schildenfeld as a better option too. Croatia needs a real coach, a tactician that can build a team and not rely on just a few stars you can see how much depends on Perisic. Croatia heading to the Euros with the same issues as before.
To all the Hrvati in California (mainly San Pedro area),
See you in June!!!!
I’m happy but I’m also drunk. I’m happy.
I don’t thiink Perisic will miss the first game at Euro 2016. I’m pretty sure the Uefa will not suspend players due to too many yellow cards. What about France who don’t had to play games to get Euro 2016?
And even more: uefa prefers to have the best players on the pitch. Only red card suspensions will count..
Well done. We are in.
Don’t talk about your sister like that. Budi fin
I remember my first beer.
i sure aint boycotting
soon as i can find a torrent for that game im gonna make a youtube vid celebrating our qualification and spruiking our team to anyone who’ll listen
terrific news holland missing out entirely too, just fantastic, hate those dutch cunts
really bad news about perisic missing game 1 of euros considering he is our most important player atm
@Ziva
Can you please explain how Croatia backed in to Euros? Remember you thought Italy would get the job done!
Ha! Going to a game…the people here? Yeah right.
Cacic’s moustache smells like Mamic’s balls and the person who wrote that has dick breath. Zato odjebi cetnice
perisic missing the first game of the tournament isnt he?
anyone going to france?
Only thing is, we didn’t back our way in, Italy didn’t help us out unless you guys think Italy could’ve lost on purpose!
Happy to be at Euro 2016.
One thing: Ivan Perisic pulled us through. Not only his goal today.
Best man today: Pjaca. What a player. He already shows more than Rakitic. I’d be surprised if this man won’t end at Real or Barcelona.
One thought for Cacic: please don’t call up Olic again. He did great for us but his career is over. Sad to see him struggle today.
And thank you, Italian friends. This was the second time you helped us out.
Now it’s time for even more beer. BOG I HRVATI
our goal diff +15, norway +3
would’ve been shitty if they got the auto place instead of us
we thoroughly deserved to get in
we had a couple of bad games, the norway loss in particular but other than that the campaign was good.. just look at our goal diff compared to most other teams
had some smashing wins, bravo, well done boys !
Thats right I am
Look at that, Turkey wins, Kazakhstan wins and Turkey qualifies as the best third place team. So even without the point penalty, Croatia wouldn’t have been the best third place team. Good thing they took care of business today along with Italy.
lets face it, Ziva was right in his prediction…did you bet Ziva?
Now time to watch the Cubs-Cards game.
Fuck all the haters, I led the team to the Euros after beating the mighty maltesians! We are winning the tournament whether that fat purger Ante B or that glupi bosanac Pederska Ćast like it or not.
BOOOOOM !!!
IDEEEEEMooooooooooo
Bog I Hrvati
Nothing wrong with backing our way in, you take what you can get.
We can thank Giovinco for direct qualification. The dude is tearing it up in the MLS and just created magic for the Italians in his sub appearance.
Grande Giovinco! Idemo dalje…
Bog i Hrvati
Too bad the game was not in ZG. We were voided a chance of Suspension Joey grabbing the microphone again.
@Živa
This is the second tournament in a row where Italy bailed us out.
We wouldn’t have qualified for the World Cup if Italy didn’t eliminate Denmark with a late goal, allowing us to creep into the playoffs for the World Cup.
maminjo it does carry over and he will indeed miss the first euro game 🙁
Norway fucks it up. Squandered their chance. Too bad.
yayy job done !
well done !
Bravo GENIUS MUCHO CACIC
we have Cacic 100 % to thank, and of course video games !
Can’t wait for the final whistle and “fake” celebrations of backing into the Euros
Perišić with the yellow card in the 90th minute.
Does he already have one from before?
It would suck if this carries over to a suspension for the first Euro game.
oh fuck me perisic to miss next match
fucking fuck
It is Malta…….nobody gets up to play Malta. We don’t have the mentality of a Germany where we come in and respect every team. We are in. Italians allowed us to back in and that is all the matters.
btw turkey just scored meaning they will get best third cos kazakh’s beating latvia
so hungary in playoffs
fuck me i get so nervous watching the repka sober.. now i remember why i normally get smashed when i watch them !
Italy are rising and we are dropping!
I’m really not satisfied with this performance.
Malta look like they could score. We may be holding on by our fingernails in the last 5 minutes…. Against Malta…
this is like a perfect day for me
holland out an cro automatically in
Everybody is supporting Italy that’s how well Croatia is playing.
Woooooooooooo!!!!
And Italy ensures we back into the Euros.
italy 2 – 1 norway now
Also, when did Joe Namath’s brother decide to coach Italy?
2:1. Italy just scored.
no we have not played great.. had lots of chances in the first half tho, should’ve had a more comfortable lead by now
Italy just had a second goal waved off due to a very iffy offsides call.
so now what…lets say these results hold and we go through…did we play a good game? is everyone happy with what they see?
Man, we look like we have little imagination!
Thank God Italy just scored………I don’t think I could have handled all the conspiracy talk about Italy losing on purpose.
See, Italy is doing their job and allowing us to back in.
thought the wops would screw us!!!
Niko Krancjar was the best thing about the national team for awhile and was a regular bench warmer at Tottenham, compare his national career with Rakitic and Modric? Norway’s doing better than Croatia at the moment and none of their players would be considered good enough by Croatian standards.
Kramaric is a more complete striker than Mandzukic or Kalinic and it’s not the job of foreign clubs to decide who gets to play for national sides their interests are not the same. But it’s fine we can now watch both Mandzukic and Kalinic miss sitters in front of goal because at least they have the luck to play regularly for their club sides.
Goal Italy!!!
Florenzi (Italy) scores!
Italy just scored.
Italy just scored!!!!!!
ITALY SCORE !
Italy scored

each ad can be closed, you need to disable adblocker and then close the ads and popups, it works here
I feel like Indiana jones looking for those crosses 🙁 but it’s more entertaining
croat, you can close them all but the crosses are tiny and hidden
Does anyone have a good site to watch this game? I”m tired of looking at my screen with 3/4 of ads block the video
How do you punish the Cro national team and 99.9% of its supporters for something they had nothing to do with? Conversely uefa IS responsible for this extortion amongst other much more serious things which they are going to pay for dearly in the same way Nazi propagandists payed.
haha holland 0 – 3 czech (10 men)
Why are there ads on these streaming websites that you can never close….and when you try to fifity million pop ups open up….
Right????? It is UEFA’s fault now. Got it.
Relax, this has late Italian goal written all over it.
Uefa takes a point away and home field advantage away from Croatia and also punishes all soccer fans by obviously ruining the atmosphere by not allowing any fans in the stadium for what can not even be seen as a minor act of vandalism by some anonymous person because the generic swastika did not even alter the pitch.
anon: faroes beat greeks twice so ahead on head to head
Agree with you Ziva, these guys are smoking rope with their suggestions.
Here’s a bulletin boys, Croatia’s selection pool is smaaaaaallll.
Showing yourself to be a decent player for 10 minutes out of 4 games does not make you a repka starter, even despite CRO’s small selection pool.
Why is Greece in last place when they have the same amount of points as Faroe Islands (6) but have a superior goal differential by 4? If Faroe Islands were in last place, Croatia would automatically qualify with a win over Malta as the top 3rd place team.
i have a bad feeling italy is gonna have one of those days despite dominating where they lose sigh
im scared !
(( hugggs ))
paying the price??????? What youthful players were ready during qualifying???? Halilovic???? No Rebic???? no
You first have to show something on the club level to get playing time on the repka.
Does Kramaric deserve minutes???? no
Italy plays for Italy as they should and they have qualified, Croatia only had to beat Azerbaiijan and not lose to Norway they didn’t do the job, but Mamic still gets to sell Pjaca.
Interesting to see how many minutes if any Kramaric will get. Really tired of seeing Corluka and Srna get full minutes every match and don’t get me started on Badelj and Kalinic. The HNS scum are paying the price for not integrating some youthful confidence into this team since the failed World Cup campaign as most semi normal FAs would have done.
Italy attempts at goal – 9
Norway attempts at goal – 1
Offside Norway goals – 1
bosnia got a goal to make it 2-2 at cyprus putting them back into provisional third
sadface
Donald Trump is an even bigger idiot than the last Bush that was in the White House; and I didn’t believe that was even possible….
Have no fear…..Italy will get the result allowing us to back in.
What is wrong in voting for Trump. Keeping the rich in power always works!!!
im fucking scared ! the potential play-off opponents are mostly hard
cmon italy
forza italia !
@ anonymous
That post made absolutely no sense. It’s not about the money being made its about the way they made money. And trust me I am farrrrrr from voting for trump lol
nah only turkey and hungary can get best third
no way we can get it
im glad holland are fucked at least, world cup semi to not making a 24 team euro immediately after
Norway goal was offside and Italy is all over them, had about 10 legit chances to score. It’s pathetic.
If there’s a way that Italy loses and we get the best 3rd place spot then I’m happy.
As always, fuck Italy!
cyprus is beating bosnia so they would take that 3rd place and go into the playoffs and we could play them
holland down 2 -0, czechs with a red and holland subbing striker for defender
lots of action in those groups
true, they did. But, Italy had not wrapped up qualifying at that point.
just a reminder that italy beat norway 2-0 in norway… 2 fucking nil over there and are now losing at home.. fuckssss
I really doubt this Norway result holds. I Still think Italy will get the result that allows us to back into the Euros…..
But, let me ask this…….What if the Norway results holds? How many people on this site will begin to say the game was rigged to get this outcome. Remember, we still have homers who think England-Ukraine was rigged to hurt us. Never mind the fact one team had secured qualifying.
$700 in my pocket baby!
im fucking nervous !
anyway, holland losing 2-0 at home to the czechs
lovely news there
@Ante
Hope you made that bet!
relating to what, ziva?
stand by for some news………waiting to confirm it (nothing earth shattering, but interesting).
Who else? Perisic with the opener
Norway are beating Italy!
fucklkk italy 0 – 1 norway !!
well. now he HAS a goal lol
Perisic should’ve had a goal by now
okies im awake !
why arent we winning yet??
Fucking Sportsnet’s now airing the Turkey game!
They changed their programming like 30 mins before kickoff.
Why couldn’t they have decided that with a little more fucking notice!?
Morons!!!
Now I’ve got to find some shit link and watch it on my shitty computer!
I got to say it is funny to hear the explanation by the tv announcer how the Cro federation is banning its own fans.
When mamic is gone you will bitch about the next guy, and on and on and on it goes. So much fucking corruption all over the world , but we have to be the big shots that boycott our own team. Who gives a shit who makes fucking money when we do well. If a croatian cured cancer our people would say , oh look how much money he made. These are the same jerkoffs that will vote for trump , a corrupt prick who pays off people and makes laws to benefit himself, but hey that’s ok.
link?
Hell, Corluka backs in plenty of times to questionable characters.
@Mile………negative. I have never shit on anything Croatian. I am just stating the obvious. If Norway loses points, we back in. That is the definition of backing in. That is not a knock on the repka. Nothing wrong with back in.
@Tom……their heros?????? Someone is failing their kids if the kids think a pro athlete is a hero or role model. Hero worshipping as a kid leads to jock sniffing as an adult.
When it comes to Croatian soccer and Croatian soccer ONLY, who is the number one man leading everything? Politics aside, only soccer.
Vatrena cast, I hate mamic! But I personally think this mess is much bigger than him…fifa officials are corrupt and being reprimanded…God knows how many in the HNS are just like him…soccer is corrupt across the board…world cup…euro etc.
Don’t think the game is ‘meaningless’ to Italy. I’m sure they want to finish atop the table and ensure a better seed for the tournament draw.
They also have a very lengthy unbeaten streak in Euro qualifiers that they can maintain. I’m sure there is some sense of pride in that.
I feel for the young croatian kids who are always excited to watch the N.T play. They dont understand the politics of it all. They just want to watch their heros play.
Now these fucken criminal thugs will ruin it for them all.
Fuck me we are a backwards nation . Why dont these hooligans get a real job and live a life instead of gathering in groups and bitching about politics.

Sorry that’s bullshit that Croatia would be backing in if Norway loses or ties. Norway is friggin’ LUCKY they are playing in Italy when the game is meaningless to Italy. What would Norway’s chances be if this game was played this past Saturday (when Italy was still trying to qualify) vs. today. They would have zero chance to win and everyone knows it.
So if anybody would be backing in, it would be Norway. And we would probably have qualified as best third place without the one point penalty. But yet again, Ziva has to shit on anything or anyone Croatian.
More or less the same line up less Modric…
Subašić(GK)
Ćorluka
Srna(C)
Vida
Perišić
Rakitić
Badelj
Kovačić
Pivarić
Pjaca
N. Kalinić
@Matt M………wrong. Take away 6 points because the points against 6th placed teams don’t count.
Seams as if you some of us forgot about Ukarine’s lost yesterday. If Croatia win today, regardless of the outcome of the Norway vs Italy game, we qualify automatically. We would be the best third place team. We would have 19pts, no other third place team has more than 18pts.
Let’s hope our vatreni can pull this one together so we can move on to better things in 2016 and forget about this sloppy campaign.
I’m not doubting that. But, I also think there is a good number of people who prefer to Mamic and Suker were out as well.
@Ziva
I have a good grasp of the situation. No need to question that.
Bottom line boycott as said before it is your jugos and serbs who want that. Anything to make croatia look bad. Sad.
They say no hooligans in the stadium. Are they letting in Suker and Mamic?
@poglavnik…..agrees
Trust me when I say this…………….these clowns in Malta right now don’t care about the national team or the savez and cleaning it up. We all agree Mamic and Pupept Suker are scum- at least those of us with a brain, but these clowns in Malta are not there for authentic reasons.
@Ziva
“We need the team ahead of us to drop points… that means we are backing in.”
Fair enough.
I’m mostly just messing with you.
We’ve always backed in to tourneys so no point in busting our balls over it.
No shame in that.
Especially when u consider all the bullshit that’s gone on during this cycle.
Flares, swastikas, coaching change, Modric/Mamic, boycotts, etc, etc..
hahaha…I dont have your email address.
you have to see my point dude. its pretty simple…if politicians can get away with corruption and they make the laws and are the governing body in Croatia, how do we think others won’t take advantage of corruption as well?
I know you’re intentions are good, none of us like or agree with criminals, but when you have an environment that supports corruption, why shouldn’t we expect it?
we all wouldn’t think twice about a corruption case in a country like Mexico or Turkey…but we’d be a bit more surprised if we see it in Germany or the U.S.
at least in those country’s, they try to hide the corruption and often times, people are prosecuted, in Croatia, those that are most corrupt are the ones making the laws and ensuring their network prosper…
vatrena cast says:
Id hate to go to war with these motherfuckers.
http://youtu.be/Bz0s6H2tWqo
@slavonac
This is a sports website. I try to not mix my politics with sports. If you want to hear my political views email me.
@ziva
I was so mad when the Italy game got jacked up, but I understand it now. When Mamic finally gets the axe, and the day will come, these same people will say ” he is finally gone, I never liked him”. I don’t mind being the bad guy if it means in the long run things will be getting better.
Our people have never been sheep but apparently the majority of people on here are. Id hate to go to war with these motherfuckers.
@anteBBB
Its always gotta be a CRO vs Serb thing to take away from the CRO vs HNS thing. By making it CRO vs. Serb they can easily make it into hooliganism.
Well, it is back dooring in……Nothing wrong with that, but call a spade a spade.
We need the team ahead of us to drop points……that means we are backing in when you don’t control your own destiny.
Slavonac, exactly…corruption runs rampant across the board…getting rid of mamic is just removing one piece of a puzzle.. it’s actually a sad situation.
vatrena cast…you said:
“you are willing to bad mouth the Croatians trying to fix things in Croatia because you say they are ruining the reputation”
Trying to fix things?
When?
you call criminals acts fixing things?
Croatia has so many issues, you probably already know this. we’ve brought up the topic of how so many have prospered over the years…many many politicians have become extremely wealthy and have attained a lot of land and yet, nobody has ever investigated them…this probably is similar to Mamic…but you don’t seem to care that elected officials take from the public…you never mention anything about it!
12-1 that Perisic scores first. Easy $50 bet.
It’s a meaningful one boys!
No shame in not finishing the cycle with 30 points even if some people (Ziva Istina!) consider this back dooring our way in.
@Petar the gambler
I’m going with a Turkey win, BiH win, and an Italy draw. That parlay gets you nearly 7-1 odds.
vatrena cast…who financed these guys to go to Malta…somebody had to, these fuckers don’t work!
what happened to those guys that threw the flares vs Italy? what happened to the swastika criminals…there have been reports that people know who the criminals are, why haven’t we seen the names of those that imprinted the swastika? apparently, as Muslim woman from Index knows who the criminals are:
http://www.tinolovka-news.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=74820:sto-se-ceka-novinarka-indexa-dea-redzic-zna-tko-je-autor-kukastog-kriza-na-poljudu&catid=58:nogomet&Itemid=386
also, why did Ostojic take 2 months to show the video at Poljud?
someone at another site made these comments, I agree with him.
@iggy,
you are the problem, you have given up.
Thanks for proving my point so well!! Ive said it before, if you support the team you are putting money in the pockets of the HNS. Its basic Sport Management.
You are supporting Mamic, by watching the games, by buying the gear, who’s pocket do you think its going in? I support the players on the club level to the max.
So you are willing to bad mouth the Croatians trying to fix things in Croatia because you say they are ruining the reputation but you stand in support of the man and group of people that are taking advantage of our country? if the fans are ruining the reputation what the fuck is Mamic and company doing to it?
Put down the video game controller and read a fucking book.
Bro, it’s the guys who go to games and understand the situation who get it. Boycotting is a personal choice. That being said, the media was fishing over, pazi ovo, a fight between Croatians and Serbs at a strip club. Yeah…because fights never happen at 2am in the parking lot.
They are OK with the savez because they care more about soccer than anything else in Cro. THey think it is OK to have criminals run the show as long as they are entertained.
Nothing wrong with that. But, they cant come back later and ask why the current situation is why it is.
This is nothing in Malta……a few hundred people went over to hang a banner and boo the national team. This is nothing.
Don’t know why they would make the trip, but it is nothing. I just want it televised in case something happens.
@ziva
I call it the direction of truth. I can proudly say that my parents did not fail me. And even if they would have I would not have failed myself and taught myself.
Even if they don’t know the language how can people stand behind something so corrupt? have some fucking values.
@antebbb
Totally agree with you. Glad to see there is at least one person with a clear understanding!
If success is dragging the name Hrvatska through the mud and shitting all over our reputation and people and public image, than bravo, thugs *golf clap* a complete success
shitcunts
“They have tried peaceful, they have tried nicely, shit I was one of the people on here saying we should do things peacefully but it isn’t working.”
*Dr Phil voice* And this rioting and swastika planting and fighting in foreign countries, how’s that working out for you?
“@slavonac
yes instead we should support the corrupt over and over again so nothing changes. the way I see it is, they both are extremes.”
Supporting the players is extreme? Really???? Wow ! How militant.
Nobody supports Mamic. Nobody likes him. But some of you shitheads are saying being militant thugs because you don’t like Mamic is acceptable. Incredible. How primitive are you?
“No. Does it raise some sort of awareness? Yes.”
No, it does not. As i said, all it does is paint our people as violent neo-nazi thugs. NOBODY has even heard of Mamic outside of Cro and that isn’t going to change cos some thugs are starting brawls in Malta.
The stupidity from some of you neanderthalls is actually astounding
These idiots in Malta Omg!! It’s hard to believe people can be this stupid!
vatrena,
If it wasn’t talked about or posted in the last 12 minutes, there’s no chance they’ll remember anything. Like I said earlier man, I understand how you feel.
fuck me
so now i have to be fearful _not only_ of our home games but our away games too.. sigh..
some stupid shitheads are going to ruin it for all of us and get us kicked out of euro 🙁
Be careful vatrena cast, you are moving in a tough direction…………diaspora hrvati don’t like being told to learn how to read in Croatian. They claim you can be a hrvat without knowing the language, history and culture. They claim wearing a jersey is enough.
I’m all for being entertained. If we have a bunch of idiots willing to get in trouble in Malta, all I ask is that it be televised.
Are you guys kidding me? Have you read anything in croatian in the last 10 years? They have tried peaceful, they have tried nicely, shit I was one of the people on here saying we should do things peacefully but it isn’t working. The reason there is not a good atmosphere at games is because Torcida and the BBB aren’t there. Do you know how much shit needs to go on for these two groups to work together against a common enemy? last time this happened was before our war.
Do I want full stadiums and full support of our national team? Fuck Yes, but shit I am not supporting the team so one man or one little group can get even richer. the proof is out there, learn how to read in Croatian and fucking educate yourself.
My worry is about ticket sales for the Euros. The HNS is clearly asking the home teams not to sell tickets to our fans for the road games. What is going to happen at the Euros?
Surely, they cant ask UEFA not to sell tickets to Croatians, can they? Not only that, then we have to deal with Puppet Suker doing what he did during the World Cup and taking about a thousand tickets that were intedned for Croatian fans and handing them over to his mob connections in Germany to sell on the black market.
@Hvar…..I’m not defending the idiots who cause trouble. But, why do you want them to protest against hajduk. The fans finally got what they wanted from hajduk leadership with the way the board is now elected. I don’t think you have a firm grasp of the situation. This isn’t a hajduk v dynamo issue. Actually, both sets of fans are unified on this front against Mamic and company. Again, you would never find my with the seljaci running around on the street.
@slavonac
yes instead we should support the corrupt over and over again so nothing changes. the way I see it is, they both are extremes. Is it right that they behave criminally? No. Does it raise some sort of awareness? Yes. Does it make our country look bad? yes, but it looks bad by itself. with that being said all we need is one prosecutor taking interest, and trust me no one is going to take interest if people keep cheering on the corrupt.
Bring on the Turks….they need more punishing.
@slavonac
Valid point.
to be honest Hvar, they can be peaceful or not peaceful…as long as they are demonstrating to our own delegates and not at some international even or in some other country. let the Croatian police and officials deal with this…as it sits, these fucking kukavice are tarnishing Croatia’s image and it makes me sick to my stomach!
I have to say…anyone that supports these fucking idiots is an idiot themself!
if they want change, they should demonstrate in front of Milanovic’s office.
Peaceful of course. Right way and wrong way to do things.
Hvar, Torcida and the rest of these hooligans are no different than the fuckers that publicly chant out “fuck the police”…they are basically demonstrating in a primitive way…just like the idiots in Ferguson, MO.
Entitlement…they think they are entitled to destroy someone else’s property.
@slavonac
Bang on, we have many who are delusional on this site, clowns for sure. Hate to see see some innocent people get hurt by these actions. No way can you bring your children to a game.
I find myself at work having to defend our fans everytime this happens but it gets to the point where we are now grouped with those mother-fuckers. Sad, really sad.
Funny thing is why doesn’t Torcida boycott their management and the split games. Instead they don’t, Seems only reason they go after HNS is because of Mamic. Odd.
Hvar, not only are we out but this clearly demonstrates that Croats are no better than the mother-fuckers we hate. If for a second they’d spend this amount of resources and energy boycotting in ZG and Split, meeting with government officials and going the route of trying to make a change in a positive way, I’d be with them…but this really does show that those who support these idiots and say they aren’t criminals is clearly delusional!
@Slavonac
Agree, you see the clowns on this site who support it, My biggest fear some sort of violent act today and guess what we are out of the euros. Comes down unfortunately we have to ban all fans from attending away games due to a few bad apples. Really sad.
yeah…sure…lets fucking boycott by causing shit in another country…this is exactly why I never side with people that think boycotting is the answer, they get so carried away and behave criminally!!!
It’s very nice to see that the local village idiots made it to Malta.
http://www.index.hr/sport/clanak/kaos-na-malti-15-uhicenih-torcida-prijeti-hnsu-navijaci-skupljaju-kamenje-policija-im-pretresa-apartmane–/847726.aspx
If Italy and Norway tie and we win we go through. I really doubt that Italy want to loss and be second seed, but we’ll see
Sepp, me too!
I wouldn’t guarantee an Italy win/draw. I fear a repeat of England/Ukraine.
Hey guys who do you think win todays games!? Il bet off what you guys think..il take the south american games too but croatia is over -1100
Yep, that’s right, Today is judgement day! It’s a 3 way shootout between Italy, Croatia, and Norway… reminds me of the end of “the good, the bad, and the ugly,” when the 3 gunslingers face-off vying for that pot of gold. You can just feel the tension building!
Hungary would be a much easier opponent than Turkey in the playoffs so let’s hope that does indeed happen, but i think Latvia would win that game, wouldnt they? too bad
Technically, there is a chance Turkey gets the best third place spot. If they win today and Kazakhstan beats Latvia, Turkey would have 18 points, and since Latvia would replace Kazakhstan as the worst third place team, and Turkey tied them twice, Turkey’s third place points would be 16, which would beat out Hungary by one point. So if that does happen, Croatia’s one point deduction wouldn’t be a factor.
@ Ante
-1 for that game has us lose automatic entry.
Totally blocked that out my mind!
Play-offs would be a real challenge.
